It's a Kind of Magic (Bow)
Date of Cutscene: 10 March 2024
Location: Bow's Dorm Room
Synopsis: Bow discovers old, primal magic on Earth.
Cast of Characters: Bow

Bow had found himself at a flea market. "I don't know why they call it a flea market." he mused. "I see no fleas here." But what he did find was infinetly more important. As he entered the shop, the air was thick with the scent of dust and memories.

He carefully sifted through the piles of relics—old tomes, forgotten weapons, and trinkets from a bygone era. Then, buried beneath a pile of faded maps, something caught his eye. It was a square object, large and flat, wrapped in a protective sleeve. Bow gingerly pulled it out, revealing a vibrant cover adorned with bold lettering: "Queen – It's a Kind of Magic."

He traced the words with his fingers, the title sparking a curiosity deep within him. He had heard of music from the old world, but never had he encountered something like this. The image on the cover depicted four faces, ethereal and powerful, surrounded by bursts of light. Intrigued, Bow carefully slipped the record out of its sleeve. The vinyl was smooth, cool to the touch, and shone with an otherworldly luster.

As he turned it over in his hands, Bow couldn’t help but wonder what kind of magic this record held. Was it a spellbook? A relic imbued with ancient power? His mind raced with possibilities. He’d heard legends of songs that could stir the heart and soul, melodies that could evoke emotions and memories long forgotten. Perhaps this was one of those fabled artifacts.

Excitedly, Bow searched the shop and found an old turntable, covered in a layer of dust. Purchasing both, he hurriedly rushed back to the Dorms from the shops, he was clearly excited.

Settling in at his dorm room, he wiped it clean and, with careful hands, placed the record on the platter. He gently set the needle down, and as it touched the vinyl, a crackle of anticipation filled the air.

Then, the music began.

The opening chords of "One Vision" filled the room, rich and powerful, with a beat that thumped in time with Bow’s heart. His eyes widened as the sound enveloped him, unlike anything he had ever heard before. The vocals soared, harmonizing perfectly with the intricate guitar riffs and pounding drums. It was electrifying, a symphony of sound that resonated deep within his soul.

He felt the music coursing through him, igniting a fire in his chest. It was as if the record itself was alive, pulsating with energy. The lyrics spoke of dreams, magic, and the unbreakable bond of unity. Bow couldn’t help but grin as the chorus of "A Kind of Magic" kicked in, the words echoing through his mind. The song seemed to capture the very essence of everything he fought for: hope, friendship, and the belief that together, they could achieve the impossible.

As the record played on, Bow lost himself in the music, each track a journey of its own. The sound was timeless, transcending the years and the battles he had faced. For a moment, all his worries, all the struggles of the rebellion, faded away, leaving only the pure, unadulterated joy of discovery.

When the last notes of "Princes of the Universe" faded into silence, Bow let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding. He felt changed, as if the music had unlocked something within him, a new sense of purpose and determination. He carefully placed the record back in its sleeve, his heart still racing with the magic of what he had just experienced.
