Cast of Characters: Chrono Harlaown, Adrien Agreste

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown was preparing for the upcoming holidays. Christmas time was almost here, and that meant...

For Chrono? It meant he was going to be working, the same as he always did. But it also meant he'd take a little time off, to get some proper holiday meal. He'd even sent home a training session early! Once. Just once.

Now? Chrono was sitting at their desk, a bit of espresso in hand, going over some charts as he wrote up reports. A soft yawn coming from him. Detailed descriptors of different magical people (cat noir and ladybug miraculously not amongst them). Planning out training routines, it seemed.

His homework was already done, because of course it was. IT was Chrono, when was he not ahead of it?

And he was in his less spikier TSAB uniform... the one he commissioned and that didn't have actual magic to maintain.

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste had been out doing a bit of shopping while he could. It wasn't as huge a shopping holiday here as it was elsewhere by far, but there were lots of 'limited edition' and seasonal items that he wanted to try to get ahold of. Seasonal coffee blends, maybe some limited edition flavors of snacks. That sort of thing.

As soon as he enters the familiar dorm room and the door behind him is shut, Plagg flies out of his bag over to the little cozy miniature house spot that Adrien had set up for him on one of the book cases. "I know Japan has a lot of lactose intolerance but that's no excuse to not have a good selection of cheese!" The Kwami huffs down into his little chair where he holds up a good slice of some cheese to pop into his mouth grumbling and grousing all the while.

Adrien chuckles softly at the antics, and unslings the bag from his shoulder. "Hey Chrono. How are things going with you lately?" A little amused smile comes as he asks, "Got any plans for the holiday with Rashmi?"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown glanced back towards the kwami, before turning his focus to Adrien. "Pretty good. Since this is my first Christmas with my mother, she'll be joining Setsuna's family and Rashmi's family in a big holiday get together." Pause. "Mostly prepared by Rashmi's family, for the safety of all involved. You know, you are welcome to come if you'd like. Assuming you and your father don't have other plans."

Well, if there was one thing that kind of weird... family... had going for it, it was that it was very accepting. "May end up having to kidnap Aloisia and dragging her along, if we manage to fix her before that..." he mumbled before sighing, a hand moving up to rub his forehead. He really did feel sometimes like the whole world was chaos.

He then picked up his reports and neatly stacked them, before sliding them into his device. "I've also been working on a grand report to send to the TSAB, if I ever manage to send it. I'm... still not sure how, but well... most of the TSAB forces have been recovered. Just a few more and I'll be focusing on that particular problem."

"... How about yourself? Any wild plans?"

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste moves to get himself a coffee as well. It was chilly out and that was excellent to warm up with even if it wasn't perhaps the best thing to be drinking all the time. His head tips a bit at the mention of the various plans. "Father is... Likely busy," he admits with a bit of a sigh. "I'll make an offer of something to do but I don't know how it will turn out. I have to try, though. Otherwise, I'm not certain." He pauses, and adds, "I should touch base with Naru on that too. I think she typically visits with Usagi-chan's family."

The familiar tap-tap of papers to the desk earns a wry smile as he looks over toward his roommate again. "Oh, did I update you about the situation with Ladybug losing her Miraculous? She has it again," he quickly adds, "It was only taken by Usagi-chan after she had been Akumatized again. Thankfully she turned back just after but... Because no one knew her identity to be able to return it, she and I had a talk and she *finally* agreed that it's a good idea that some people know our identities. Those we can trust."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. "I see. Just make sure you don't deny yourself the social bonding experiences just because your father is. Things like that... experiences... are vital for proper emotional growth. Many soldiers end up isolating themselves to 'protect' people, only resulting in forgetting, in the end, the very thing they fight for. At that point... disaster strikes. But your girlfriend's family is likely a better choice than your roommate's." Pause. "If for no other reason than she's at least human."

The mention of the miraculous being returned earned a small nod, however the mention of the revealed identities? That made him actually glance over again. "Really? That's good. Allies that can be trusted can be vital to growth, especially if one wants to avoid, say... incidents like the dinosaurs," Chrono said, giving a small smile towards Plagg. He, at least, had made peace with the cat. He imagined the cat as a tiny genie. So long as neither Cat Noir nor Plagg made a move on the enforcer, he had no reason to dislike either of them.

"Do you have any prospective people you trust?"

Adrien Agreste has posed:
"A few," Adrien agrees in regard to those he might tell. "I already let Kazuo and Koji know. We're over there so often anyway it only made sense, plus it was while we were in the middle of something." He COULD have made it away but he'd known them for so long! "Mamoru as well. I think that's it for me, for now. Not *everyone* needs to know but they're often the ones that help us out the most, and vice versus."

Stepping away from the espresso machine with his cup in hand he heads for the couch to sink down and sit comfortably. "I don't think the fact that you aren't from Earth matters all that much, Chrono. And really it seems like being so far away from your home would make it all the more important to make sure you're doing all right during the holidays, too." He grins faintly. "I'm glad you found your mom as well. I know how much that worried you."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown gave a small nod. Well, it made sense... though he did snicker slightly. Why? Because he was imagining any of the boys in 'cat noir' outfit. No, he would never tell them this. And he would likely be uncomfortable if it happened. But it'd still be hilarious.

"They are good people, trustworthy at least. I wouldn't worry about me in that regard. I... have family here now. My mother. Setsuna, in many ways. We may not all be related by blood, but we are at least family. And I believe Rashmi's family would... have a selection of words, most of which would be unpleasant, were I to not include them as 'family'. However... trust me. TSAB cooking does *not* transfer well to earth cuisine. That is why I am mostly staying out of their way during this."

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste raises his coffee cup in salute to that. "From what you've told me of it I can completely understand that. It sounds awful. I'm sure it's functional, but that doesn't mean good in any way."

"Still I'll see what's up. I admittedly haven't spoken about plans yet. Which is bad of me," he realizes as he admits that. Naru would likely already have plans made up or be wondering why he hadn't asked yet. Now he looks worried.

"Maybe I could sneak you some better food before you head over. As backup," he offers jokingly.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown gave a light snort and shook his head. "Oh, no. The Terios family line is primarily in charge of the cooking. I believe most of us will be dedicated to funding it and fetching things as needed. I can do basic cooking, but my mother has too much sugar and... well... ahem... the less that can be said about some of Setsuna's family's cooking... the better."

"The Terios family line, though, their cooking is extraordinary. I believe it is a magic of its own, at least in some ways. You've eaten some of it before, you should know. But you should definitely bring this up to Naru. For all you know, she's been waiting for you to breach the topic. Some people do struggle with communication."

Adrien Agreste has posed:
"She probably has. She knows my father and I have a tense relationship. Then again, she's similar with her mother. We both understand that. Still... It's also her birthday," Adrien admits with a guilty look.

"Last year we'd only been dating awhile. I managed to find out that one of the castles was still open on Christmas Day and we went and made some pottery together. It was nice, but I haven't planned anything yet this year!" The blonde reaches up to drag a hand through his own hair. "I'm being a terrible boyfriend aren't I? I need to talk to her soon. And come up with plans. And gifts!"

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown gave a small shrug. "I don't know. At least... you're likely being no more a bad boyfriend than she is being a bad girlfriend. Communication is vital, and it is just as much on her to communicate her desires as it is on you to communicate yours."

"... But a relationship is rarely a game of 'who is better or worse'. It's a game where the both of you should be striving to be the best you's you can be, in order to better be the person you want to be for your partner. And, in this case? It may be you who needs to take the plunge and get that talk started. If communication was easy, we wouldn't have entire training programs to help others manage it properly."

Adrien Agreste has posed:
Adrien Agreste draws a deep breath that he lets out in a huff. "Yeah. You're right," he agrees nodding easily. "I've been so busy with my work schedule for the holiday season that I've not been paying proper attention. She's learning how to use her new powers, too, so that's also been a distraction for her."

Giving a small smile at Chrono he adds, "I'll make it up to her. And start talking more," he adds with a laugh. "We usually talk a lot but it's not really been anything focused or serious lately. For now." A long sip of his coffee is taken. "Time to pull out the laptop and make some plans."
