riverwalks Anyone else wake up in the middle of the night here and feel like something's pressing the whole city down -- the buildings, the mountains, everything. like we're being folded flat.
moss_temple_cat Sounds like sleep paralysis. You're not alone. Did you see a shape out of the corner of your eye? That happens to me sometimes. Before he died, my granddad said he saw the same shape in the corner and that its older and hungrier than Kyoto itself. He said if you see it, don't scream. Screaming lets it in.
subway_autist The last time it happened to me i fell asleep on the train and i dreamt i was on the Keihan line instead everyone else on the train had no face at all when I woke up i couldn't move for ten minutes i haven't been on the train since.
breathless_in_kyoto Sometimes I think the whole city is one dream. You close your eyes and wake up in it again, but everything feels thinner somehow.
riverwalks Didn't realize this was so common. Weirdly comforting to know I'm not the only one. I could usually grit my teeth through it, but these nights... it feels heavier than ever before. Lately, I feel like something bad is going to happen to me, or maybe I feel like something bad has happened and it just hasn't reached me yet. but it's on its way.
