Kumi Chou is a girl surrounded by rumor, and very little of it is pleasant. Most of them are related to a fatal accident on a school trip that left only Kumi and one other girl alive, the circumstances of which necessitated a transfer to another school entirely. Rumors abound as to the nature of those circumstances. What is known, however, is she somehow managed to score a scholarship to Radiant Heart Academy, despite her family's decidedly average wealth and status. Ever since the accident, she's been quiet, distant, and even a bit creepy; a stark contrast to the outgoing girl of the past.
