Taro: sorry about this but i need to take the rest of the week off
Taro: please put it under sick leave

He sends the texts. Then Taro groans and sinks into his bed under a pile of every blanket he owns, tucking himself underneath the sheets so that he's completely insulated from the world. The only light remaining is from his cell phone.

His breath is still watery; his chest feels cold. It was worth it, taking a swing at that baja blast bitch, but he's going to have to stay transformed at least overnight to clear out the damage from getting his lungs frozen solid.

Fuyuko Yuuhi has posed:
It takes a while for the response to come - but an hour or so - but eventually it does.

    Fuyuko: sick or injured?
    Fuyuko: you've got time, so just watch yourself.

The rest of the week? It's only Tuesday. That sticky brat is sick enough to take out the entire rest of the week? Fuyuko doesn't buy it, but he hadn't called her for help, either, isn't asking now. If he doesn't want to ask, she won't push and offer.

It's his opinion that if someone tries to kill him, he gets to kill them back. Or at least mangle them a little. It's not HIS fault that an instant death wound on a human wouldn't destroy some blue baja bmonster nonsense, much less stop her from kidnapping... uh. Oh. Shit.

Maybe this is the first time Taro's realized his mentor is, in fact, a villain. Maybe it will lead to decisions down the road, realizing she's fine with civilians dying.

Adrien wasn't a civilian, but eh'd promised to keep his identity safe - and besides. Strong people could do whatever they wanted. It was pragmatic to prevent a dead body being found in the dorms of HIS school, and Adrien was willing to give him blood without a fight, and why can't he save someone? It wasn't about the saving, it was about spiting that Thetis chick.

(His mother never talked about the day she'd lost her parents and her husband in one fell swoop, the day that ruined her health and made his birth in 1946 a miracle - but he saw pictures later on. So many people had died. People his age and younger.)

Taro: fine. im super smart and powerful and stole a victory from her and i dont regret it

Well, that's harsh. But Taro is hitting a sore spot, and Fuyuko's never been the sort to gentle her words.
