Cast of Characters: Scorn, Blue, Rei Hino, Amanda Faust, Sayaka Miki

Scorn has posed:
Welcome to the Hikawa Shrine. It's a lovely winter day. Slow at the shrine in terms of customers and tourists, but that doesn't stop the locals at all.

Today Blue has summoned Sayaka Miki and Aki Kurosawa to the shrine to speak about something. That something is the true nature of the box that had trapped the Phantom Empire, the Axia.

"Hey Sayaka-chan..." asks Aki to Sayaka. "I was surprised to see you're a Precure, why'd you'd become one?" she asks softly to her as she walks along, the blonde girl dressed in a winter coat, and long pants.

It's not a question she'd asked her before, but now seems like a nice time as they walk into the shrine's grounds.

Either you're here because Sayaka (or Aki) invited you along. Or you're here on your own...

...Or maybe it's the sense of foreboding in the air drawing you here. The air is thick in something in about to go down, almost!

Blue (6) has posed:
The tall young man with the hair blue like the sky and eyes like the blue of the oceans found his way to Hikawa Shrine by means of a mirror that had been set up and away from the rest of the rooms; a previous agreement between the Kami and the current magically-aware resident of the shrine, Rei Hino.

Which meant he was able to come out from inside the shrine slowly, his eyes looking around, holding a box cradled in his hands. It looks like a small, hand-sized treasure chest with gold markings and a heart-shaped lock. He occasionally runs his hands along it as he walks up very slowly - the sort of very slowly that might allow other people to not notice him until he's suddenly there - partly looking nervous and lost in thought.

Rei Hino has posed:
The Shrine Maiden of Hikawa Shrine, Rei Hino, in her white and red clothes, saw Blue pass by her as she was moving around. Frankly, she's moving up because she's curious, but also because having a Kami physically walking the grounds of Hikawa Shrine isn't an everyday occurance; it could mean good tidings or ill. For now, it means Rei has found an excuse to sweep the grounds far closer to everyone.

At least Blue knows she can be trusted, so she's less likely to be run off.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy may be invited -- or drawn here by a feeling -- but she doesn't want to attract too much attention.

Well there's only so much you can do about that when you're a flame-haired foreigner. But although she's already henshined, she's still in her school uniform. Just another local exchange student! Not a boisterous American tourist, nope!

The stairs are so much easier to climb in henshin., though.

If she was told to expect Blue, she'd have expected it would be like last time they talked -- he in a mirror, they outside of it. So when she spies him outside the shrine she does a double-take. "Blue?"

She's not commenting on the question of Sayaka's change in magic, but if the answer is loud enough to overhear, she's curious.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka is a bit surprised they are going all the way out here for a talk with you. He has the Cross Mirror Room, right? It's a bit of a surprise he picked this place. Is he expecting something to happen?

She takes a look around at the other people frequenting the shrine. They look to her like the same kind of people she could see anywhere. Is it something about the temple grounds?

Let's see, it was... Susanoo-no-Mikoto, Kushiinadahime-no-Mikoto and Okunishi-no-Mikoto. She had looked them up before coming here. Maybe it's something with Okunishi? She should ask Blue about that. She doesn't really...

Aki's question snap Sayaka out of her thoughts. "Uh, me?", she smiles awkwardly. "No big reason, really. I was just recommended Blue by another Precure, and I just left my powers behind, so seems like as good a place as any to start over."

She waves her hand in the air. "I have always been passionate about helping out people, though. And I really want the power to defend my loved ones. So, if you wanted to know why I became a magical girl, that's my reason."

"Hello, Blue-sama", Sayaka bows her head at him. Her eyes dart at the treasure chest. It really looks like something solemn, and the slow walk Blue took out of the mirror... It was that kind of atmosphere.

"Hello, Blue-sama", Ula copies the bluenette, leaning her head to the side. It had surprisingly few jewels for something so solemn.

Scorn has posed:
Blue arrives from inside the shrine and Aki and Sayaka arrive. Aki answers Sayaka. "Oh, For me and Haruna it was Oresky attacked the coffee shop. Because we won a number one award in coffee drinks. We didn't want to see that happen to anyone else, so..." she shifts a bit.

She nods at Sayaka's convictions before bowing to Blue. "Kami-sama. We're here! What's.. that box?"

That's when there's a suddenly dark build up of dark energy, a flash of inverse light as Scorn duskports into the Shrine directly behind Aki and Sayaka. Blue and others can see her fine.

"Blueeee~" she sing songs. "Queen Mirage said you'd be here you blue haired menace. You have something she desires! Lucky me, you seem to uh... have it with you!" she says raising a hand to point before making a 'gimme' motion with the hand.

"Hand it over." she says.

Aki blinks as she bows up quickly. "...Haruna-chan?" she asks. W-what is she doing here? The girl thinks.

Blue (6) has posed:
Blue is just starting to answer "...This box is Axia, and..." when Scorn arrives - somehow able to drop right in on the shrine! Blue immediately stops what he was going to be saying to finish his sentence very differently. "...and it's not something we can hand over to anyone affiliated with Mirage or her Phantom Empire." the Kami says.

"Why are you even here, and how, and... it doesn't matter, I suppose, because there's no way this is getting handed over to you." he says.

Rei Hino has posed:
Rei's senses go off just before the Dark Energy teleport actually happens - which enables her to sure look like the mere sight of Scorn arriving sent the raven-haired shrine maiden running at full tilt.

But really, it's just around the corner, so she can draw out her henshin pen.

It's only a few more moments after Scorn's arrival, and Blue's denial, that a pair of red high heels lands with a loud set of clicks atop the roof of a small building that's not part of the shrine proper (the owner of those heels was very specific about where they stood!).

The heels, of course, belong to Sailor Mars - and she's about to make sure everyone knows it, pointing a very accusatory finger at Scorn.

"You who would bring Dark Energy to a sacred place - who brings threats and danger to a place of peace, are not welcome here. If you won't leave this protected space, then I, Sailor Mars, Sailor Soldier of Fire and Passion, will have no choice but to punish you for your transgression, in the name of Mars!"

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka doesn't even lets a heartbeat pass before her Pretty Change Mirror is in one hand, and the Cure Sharpsong Precards are in her other. "The only menace I see here is Mirage's tantrums clinging to you like smoke. If you want something from Blue, Haruna-chan, you can come back when you have been purified."

The mirror starts radiating yellow, green and blue light.

"Time to change!", it exclaims, opening to reveal Sayaka's face and releasing watery musical notes, surrounding the Precure. "The melody of justice that rises from the sea depths", Sayaka recites, the blue shape of an armored mermaid wearing a wide heart-shaped collar appearing in front of her before the figure dives into the bluenette and spreads bubbles all around her. "Cure Sharpsong!"

"Or you can let us do the job. I still prefer that, you know?" the Pretty Cure adds, forming a cutlass out of water. "Come on, Tide, this is a chance. Let's stop her, and wake her up!" she incites the other water Precure with a smile of encouragement.

She steps in front of Blue and spins the dial of her Love PreBrace. Blue tendrils snap into existence and they rush out at the Dark General pointed at her with a swing of Sharpsong's sword, trying to wrap around Scorn and hold her tight. Sharpsong Legato!

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy senses darkness and then Scorn is there, demanding something--
    BANG

Scorn invading here uncomfortably gives off a similar vibe to Amy as Calaveras pulling the same thing. Amy's not giving her time to do anything beforre starting attacking -- although now it'll be a few seconds before the smoke clears, after the explosion in front of Amy's hand launches tiny pieces of hot metal at Scorn at absurd speed.

"Get out of here, Scorn..." Amy shakes her head. "No, I guess that's not an option, is it? We've stopped you before, and we'll stop you again. Why do you think this time will be any different?"

"Can we get her away from the shrine?" Amy calls out to the others.

Once the smoke clears, Amy's in her usual henshin outfit again.

Scorn has posed:
Scorn huffs and looks to two winter visitors, a mother and her son with that look in her eyes. "LET THE FUTURE IN THE MIRRO----" she then pauses mid point as she stops, and the parent runs off, grabbing her child.

She tenses that hand and then points dramatically to Amy. "You know what. Screw the Terribad. Today, you fight ME!" she calls out to the group as a whole as she splays her arms out, dark wind blowing around her as she leaps into the air, doing a flip to avoid blue tendrils, a shot of hot shrapnel pierce where she was, as she sweeps her arms out, sending a wave of dark energy at the group that does... nothing as she floats there in the air, as if carried by it, black crow feathers forming around her as a form of barrier--- before following that 'nothing' wave of energy? A flurry of feather darts, sharp, pointy, painful all aimed for Blue, though those around her may be hit!

Aki, who's also transformed to Cure Tide by now, gets pelted as she tries to tank for Blue, but doesn't get in the way fast enough, the feathers HURT and she starts moving out of the way of the dart rain quicker.

"Haruna, stop this!" she calls out. "T..this is ridiculous, you can't win this!" she says. She means she can't. That box seems important...

Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars breathes a visible sigh of relief when the parent and son run off - and when Scorn announces they'll fight her, the Red Senshi's fists clench. "Good, maybe this way I can really teach you a lesson about bringing evil energy and thoughts to a shrine!" Sailor Mars says.

Her move to accomplish that might be considered somewhat unwise; Scorn is still a Dark General, after all, and Rei can feel it. But she can also feel that burning passion in her heart; the fact that they dared to attack a shrine - her shrine - her HOME - boils in her.

While others may move to protect Blue - a very admirable course of action - the Sailor Senshi of Mars sees red in more than just her own outfit. "Really, how DARE you?" she questions before she leaps into the air, and at the arc of her leap, puts her heeled foot out boldly, coming down towards Scorn at an angle, foot first.

    "Sailor Mars KICK!" she calls.

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka grimaces when Scorn rushes away from her Sharpsong Legato, and is about to try again when Scorn announces she is about to make a Terribad. "Like heck you do!", she yells, concentrating on a cutlass with three times the size.

Magical energy flows again into water as the giant blade forms with just a spin of the Love PreBrace, and Cure Sharpsong aims it at Scorn. "Sharpsong Bar!" The air starts vibrating with the sheer speed and force of the Pretty Cure's strike.

"Oh", she murmurs after Scorn changes her mind and decides not to go after other people. She wouldn't have done things differently, but that is, well, a surprise. She can still breath out in relief when Scorn's chosen victims can escape from her fury.

"I think we should keep her in here", the bluenette replies to Puella Red, looking around at the small room. "The rest of the shrine has many more people. And we don't want her to change her mind and go after someone else."

But there isn't a lot of times for words, and Cure Sharpsong moves to do the same thing as Tide, blocking whatever feathers are still not intercepted by her with her own body. "You won't get past us!" she yells, counting on her own regeneration.

Amanda Faust has posed:
You know what. Screw the Terribad. Today, you fight ME!
"You're on!" Amy replies, dropping into a fighting stance.

But Scorn saw all their attacks coming and dodged everything. Amy wonders just how much power is left in her last grief seed. Fighting the Dark General herself? Amy's driven her off once before, when she threatened Rashmi... but if Scorn wants that box more than she wanted Rashmi... how bad will this get?

A wave of energy does nothing that Amy notices. << What was that?! >> comes telepathy.

Amy is absolutely not expecting Scorn to focus what appears to be a damaging attack on Blue. She's not assuming that a purported 'god' is invincible, but there's no way he's taken down that easily.

She keeps her eyes on Scorn, not actually seeing where the feathers go. "Mistake!" Missile racks appear all over her body and fire, dozens of tiny missiles -- not empowered by callout, not yet -- spreading out and then collapsing in on Scorn from all directions.

    "We are your opponents!"

Blue (6) has posed:
Blue is not a fighting Kami, which is part of why he has to find those with the heart of both happiness and battle to do the work for him - that's not to say he has no powers at all, but the pale blue barrier he hastily puts up doesn't hold a candle to Scorn's feathers and mostly just slows them down so that the ones that aren't protected by Tide or Sharpsong, don't peirce him too bad, but a couple do get through and damage his (maybe?) designer shirt as he crosses his arms in front of him - protecting himself and Axia.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." he says, his sleeves torn by feathers in some places, but not bleeding. "But whatever you do, be sure Scorn doesn't get this box, so she can't take it back to Mirage, or the whole world is going to be in for a lot of trouble!"

Scorn has posed:
Missiles come from all sides and she gives a smirk at Amy as they collide into her!.... barrier. The barrier dissipates with a featherily flourish as she throws two large feathers into the air, like fans, to intercept Cure Sharpsong's strike when they fail to, she's driven back through the air by the strike as she spins in the air, and catches her breath just in time for Mar's strike....

Which Scorn intercepts, grabbing her leg, and with a little wind powered spin, sends her careening toward's Blue, following it up with a large orb of dark energy to try to power through the two at once for her attack.

"Do you think I'm some lowly youma!?" she sputters back at Amy. "I AM QUEEN MIRAGE'S COURT WITCH AND YOU WILL TREAT ME AS SUCH!" she screams.

"You're my sister, you dumb jerk!" Cure Tide screams back as she sends a jet of water out from her hand, trying to catch Scorn off guard, which it does, because it catches her in the face and causes her to go 'hackckckckc'. a moment like a crazed dog being hit by the garden hose.

Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars has just enough time for her eyes to widen when Scorn grabs her leg, before she's sent into a spin, black hair flying out behind her wildly, and she's sent flying into Blue. The man catches her, and immediately lets her go, which is probably good, because it allows her to soak Scorn's blast for him - a scream that is a mix of annoyance, pain, frustration, and fury leaves Sailor Mars' throat as she has no choice but to take the brunt of the attack.

Black smoke wisps off her after the orb drives into her - but it didn't go PAST her into Blue.

Still, the Soldier of Mars is staggered; taking a Dark General's attack like that head on has clearly taken something out of her. But that something doesn't seem to be her fight, yet.

"Court witch?" she says, and smirks despite herself. "You sure you're not just a court JESTER?" she asks, despite her obvious pain.

"And whatever your title is, my title is Soldier of Mars, and I said get away from this shrine!" she yells as she brings her hands together, index fingers extended. "FIRE... SOUL!" she calls as she brings forth a ball of fire at the tips of her fingers before sending it roaring back towards Scorn.

Amanda Faust has posed:
"Come now. That's why I'm probing your defenses instead of assuming I can just blow you away." Amy fires back (verbally). "Don't you know how fights work, when they won't be decided by one blow, or fought by your monster?"

The Puella Magi hops aside. "You still haven't attacked me..." she conjures a massive artillery cannon on her shoulder -- she changed position so the backblast is directed out into the air over lower nearby terrain, rather than at her allies.

What should I call it? Amy thinks to herself. Nyxslayer is a bit much, since it's not what finally got her... what did she call her barrier? Neutron Wall...

    "NEUTRON PIERCER"

A quarter-second after Amy finishes naming the attack, the recoiless cannon fires, the backblast like a giant muzzle flash as the 6-7lbs-or-so projectile in the shape of a giant needle is launched at Ser--err, wait, she's gone now, at Scorn at several times the speed of sound. The pieces of discarding sabot, much slower, fly out in arcs and disintigrate into pink sparkles.

And then Amy fires again a half-second later, if Scorn didn't move out of her sights. If the dark general tries to tank it, Amy'll go for three, or even four shots if it looks like the barrier is almost broken after the third, but if that doesn't do it, or Scorn moved, she'll change strategies.

"Huh, that really sounds like a Device-User spell, huh?"

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Sayaka manages to block the feathers as she initially intended, and her mouth opens in a pained smirk with the consolation that Blue is safe from Scorn's attack. Her knee hits the ground as she breathes in and out to manage the sensations of pain brought on by the attack.

At the same time, small circles have already started appearing where she was hit, patching up the wounds left by the Crow Witch in a matter of a few moments. Right now, she is dealing with them, but she will be back on her feet very soon.

"Are you sure you are? From where I am, you don't seem to have many crows around you. Do you remember Gully? You can still reunite with him and Aki, you just have to remember who you really are", Sayaka appeals to her.

Blue (6) has posed:
Blue is nearly but-not-quite bowled over by the thrown Sailor Mars, but after letting her go, the girl is absolutely rocked by Scorn's follow-up attack, and Blue winces with a keen pain in his heart; the girls are protecting him, and he can't protect them - but the world needs Axia to stay out of Mirage's hands.

Still, Blue calls out. "Scorn, I know your heart is better than this!" he yells. It has to be, otherwise, she would have never been...

Scorn has posed:
Scorn gets blasted by water in the face and has to wipe it as she looks less than impressed and spun around like a pinwheel for a bit, just in time to get dried off.... by searing hot magic flame as she screams and zips upwards, elaborate black dress on fire, shots ringing after her as Amy tries to shoot her down, shots missing as she leaves a smoke trail in her wake before she finally stops and pats herself down angrily.

She looks back to Sayaka. "This again." she says angrily. "I'm not Haruna. I don't know who that is. STOP ANNOYING ME ABOUT IT!" she screams out.

"Haruna-chan...." Cure Tide calls out. "...don't you. Remember me..." she says, reaching out a moment. "Please stop. Just stop. All will be forgiven. We promise. I'm sure Blue can fix things. Please..." she begs.

There's a dead quiet as Scorn just stares down at Cure Tide, hair hiding one of her eyes, Is the magic of a holy place? Of Blue being here making things easier?... Is she finally going to relent...

She reaches out a hand and floats down.

"Okay...." she says, taking Cure Tide's... her sister's hand....

Is it over. Is the fight over. Cure Tide smiles. "Let's go to B--"

"Sorry. I lied." says Scorn as she sends a jolt of powerful magic force into Cure Tide as she falls for the facade. Tide starts screaming and Scorn doesn't stop until Cure Tide starts smoking in dark energy aura. And that's when Scorn let's go, Cure Tide collapsing in a heap.

Scorn scoffs. "One down." she says dusting her hands off.

"Which one of you losers are next?" she asks. "Is it.... YOU!" she says pointing at Amy, sending what seems like endless array of feather darts at her, empowered with lightning fast winds.

Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars watches all of this, and she, too, is hopeful - even though something in her senses tells her it's not going to end as well as she wants, as it looks as though it might.

And sadly, her premonitions are proven accurate, even if she gave Scorn the benefit of the doubt - Cure Tide is given a direct line to Dark Energy that Rei is reasonably sure puts her out of the fight, and Sailor Mars herself has already taken a nasty hit.

"I'm not a loser, but don't forget about me - I'm not someone you can just turn away from!" Sailor Mars says. But she's also getting back away from the shrine, seeing if she can pull Scorn away from it.

"And in addition to attacking a Shrine, you're also besmirching the name of crows and ravens alike with your black feathered blasts; so maybe they should get a word in too!" At that, two crows - Phobos and Deimos - dive in to attack Scorn. Well, it's really more like harass - they might be magic crows, but they're still crows, and most of what they're doing is trying to keep Scorn's attention so that Mars can hit her - they'll run off once Mars' attack hits.

And the attack in question is forming up, Sailor Mars trailing a liner of fire in a circle before bringing her hands forward. "Burning...Mandala!" she calls before launching an array of large fireballs at Scorn.

Amanda Faust has posed:
"Tch..." Amy's not swinging the massive cannon around to re-aim after Scorn dodges the first shot; she dismisses it so she can be ready to dodge counterattacks. But... < Why didn't she block it? > Amy wonders. < Or anyone else's attacks. Is the shield down? >

Haruna's sister reaches out to her. "Why is it so important that you fight for Mirage?!" Amy asks.

Scorn is... standing down? It feels off, there was no great realization, not even an exasperated sigh of being too tired to keep arguing.

But it happens before Amy can think about what that means. "No!" She reaches a hand out, uselessly.

Scorn -- the first Dark General Amy fought -- turns her focus on Amy at last. "Pff. You can tr--"

BANG! More tiny bits of glowing-hot metal fly at Scorn as the Puella Magi leaps out of the way of the first feathers... but they keep coming.

"--iEEEE!" defiant words become a scream of pain as lightning-fast feathers pierce her skin before an explosion propels her further through the air, but the feathers keep coming and Amy dodges some of them but not the bulk of the attack.

Her scream of pain stops as waves of tiny missiles conjure in the air around her and fly at the oncoming feathers, explosions trying to burn them and blast them off-course, but the Puella Magi already looks like a pincushion...

Sayaka Miki has posed:
"I will stop annoying you about it when you get out of your henshin and allows a big blasts of purification to hit you for good", Cure Sharpsong remarks. Her healing has finished patching her up, and the bluenette is now as good as new, with no sign of ever having been hit.

"I am back and ready to go, Blue!", she comments to the God, and is holding in her hands, a very specific group of PreCards. "I may not be a miko, but I think you will be happy about this dance too!", she smiles at the God, and puts the Rowan Strathspey PreCards into the Pretty Change Mirror.

Circles of berries cover the Pretty Cure, and moments later, they disappear, leaving her in a bright magenta costume. Clapping her hands, 5 watersprouts appear inside the room, and Sayaka starts dancing with them.

One after another, the moves leads the watersprouts where Scorn is, and the bluenette's dance partners are all ready to douse the dark general in the water making them up.

"This is my Basso Continuo! Don't forget to enjoy it."

Blue (6) has posed:
Blue, too, wants to believe in miracles. But as it has been for him so many time, his hope in such things is dashed before his eyes - and anyone looking at the man can see he is devastated by it.

"Is she truly lost to Mirage? Lost just like..." he doesn't finish his thought, he only clutches Axia tighter.

"Scorn, if you throw your lot in with Mirage you will suffer her fate." he calls. "Do you want to be contained within Axia as she once was?" He continues. "I will do it again, if I made to do so!"

Scorn has posed:
Scorn gets a chest full of shrapnel, and it leaves black scorch marks on her elaborate dress. She scoffs as she moves in to try to body Amy when there's a speech about Crows, and before she can respond crows are attack her. "H-hey what happened to my affinity for crows! " she says as this allows Mar's Burning Mandala to smack her, once again lighting her on fire...!

Before Sayaka transforms into her Dance Henshin and starts dancing with waterspouts, probably to magical music? and then they spout at her and she's doused in that, that was a powerful attack however, sending back back to the ground as she screams and suddenly just...

Shakes. It. Off.

"Do you think it's still that easy!? I have power to spare! I can win this!" she screams...

And then Blue threatens her. With the Axia. And she stares at Blue.

She stares at Blue and she tries to stare him down. But it doesn't work. Blue still stands resolute.

".....ugh. This is a losing proposition now! I need the box but you can use the box. Sad." she says angrily.

"You haven't seen the last of me. Queen Mirage will get what she want. Just not today! Disappointing!"

"You should all be so lucky you get to live today. Even that girl." she says looking down at Aki, who is still unconscious, and out of henshin now. "Next time."

With that, she raises a hand in a mock wave and duskports away.

She'll be back. Another time.

Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars wishes she could be more satisfied by setting Scorn on fire again, but partly she's worried about Cure Gull - and then, worried about Amy - and also, worried about the Shrine itself. Plus the Kami and the item of power. There was a lot to worry about, which may have been part of why she threw herself into attacking so aggressively. Protect all the things.

But in the end it seems like what's really going on is when Blue threatens to 'put baby in a box' as it were. Scorn is out, and Sailor Mars exhales a long sigh.

And the first thing she does is turn on Blue. "You told me you wouldn't bring trouble here." she says, more out of frustration than actually blaming him.

And then she walks over to now-Aki. "She really got hit hard. We should bring her inside to rest... probably all of us." she says. "And maybe... talk about what all of this was..."

Sayaka Miki has posed:
Scorn is gone, and apparently Blue has had the box used to trap the Phantom Empire. Was that what he meant to do before Scorn appeared? Seal them all away? She really would like to know what the story behind that was, but, looking around, she thinks they really should have done this in the Cross Mirror Room. Maybe after sticking a note in the Shed so the others could join in.

She doesn't really want Haruna to get trapped in there. They can still undo whatever the Phantom Empire has done to her, but she wouldn't mind something that could keep her still so they could purify her.

Maybe something that works better than her Sharpsong Legato. That hasn't done too great with how slow it has proved to be, or how fast Scorn has been.

"Should we move somewhere else? So we can recover and take the time to think?", Cure Sharpsong asks Blue. "Think about something other than sealing them away. Haruna deserves to be herself again."

Amanda Faust has posed:
Blue... threatens Scorn? "That's not gonna persuade her!" Amy objects, but then he gets specific. Threatening to stick Haruna in the box. "What are you doing?! That's what Phantom does to people!" and then she keeps soaring through the air right down the hill.

"Gh... dammit..." She winces as she lands, wondering how much more damage the feathers'... stems? (she forgets the technical word) just did with her body's movement. Thank goodness she's turned pain off...

She starts plucking them out, while bystanders probably wonder: what the heck. She doesn't worry about that now.

As each quill is pulled out, blood starts to well out and then stops as Amy seals the skin-- after a few she gets better at the timing so barely any more blood gets out at all. But there's still all the damage below the surface... and if there's not a healer here, should she just regenerate it?

The efficient option is to partially regenerate it and have a healer get the rest, but that either leaves her running around numb or in probably very bad pain for awhile, and she grimaces at the thought. She doesn't want to put up with that... So she regenerates the empty wounds, and regenerates each away as she pulls the rest of the quills out...

It's just a little each time, not even really visible difference, even, but it adds up, and after she's pulled the last quill, Puella Red glances down at a soul gem maybe a little over a sixth corrupted and winces. It added up a bit more than she hoped... it's a good thing she didn't keep firing after Scorn dodged the first Neutron Piercer.

She could've taken down a youma with less magic than that. And it was only to drive off Scorn -- and unlike when she spent so much more in her panic to save Rashmi, she didn't even prevent Cure Tide from getting hurt. Without Sailor Moon's help earlier, she'd be out her grief seed now for sure; as it is there can't be much of anything left in it once she cleanses this.

But that's a problem for later. Right now... Amy makes her way back up to the shrine.

Blue (6) has posed:
Blue sighs massively, at all of this. At Amy's words. At Scorn's words. At Sailor Mars' words. All of them just collect into one world-weary sigh, the kind of thing that makes your shoulders droop and your whole body seem heavy to look at.

"You saw what she did to Cure Tide." Blue says, by way of explanation, gesturing to the unhenshin'd Aki. "She was after Axia, and it's more than just a sealing box. The reason it was here is that I was hoping we could unlock it's power, but in the hands of Mirage, it could be the downfall of everything." he says.

"I don't know what caused her to show up here today - maybe it was having Axia out, or maybe I'm just cursed." he says, bluntly, a little grouchily.

"I want to save Scorn too, but if it comes down to her or the Earth, I'm going to pick the Earth, and so should all of you." Blue adds. "I think we'll have to continue this conversation another time. But we will do so." he says as he starts to walk back inside.
