Nephrite is sitting across from you at a table.
He has his face in his hands, and his elbows on the table that is cluttered with empty bottles.
Hematite is sitting next to him. Hematite promised you it would be safe to meet him.
Even after what you did.
You were trying to save her. But you killed your best friend instead. You have screamed and cried and stared blankly at nothing and you're still in shock, still numb, it still doesn't feel real.
How should you know the roof would cave in like that? That cabin was reinforced with all of Sunbreaker's magic! You were told you could attack!
Your tiara did its job too well.
And now Naru Osaka is dead.
And you'll have to explain this to her mother somehow.
There is still one way to undo this awful fate.
If only there were a miracle... Like that which the Silver Crystal can produce.
But you've been looking for it all this time without any luck.
What else is left?
You feel something burning inside of you. Light, and pain, and peace, and chaos, and you can almost articulate it, you can almost feel the new power that is awakening, but then you turn and see Hematite is no longer there, and not Nephrite either.
You are sitting across from Himeko and Pyrite -- the older and younger, respectively.
They look at each other, and then look at you.
They understand. They will do everything they can to change this when it happens. They will go in first, so that any collapsing roof will have to fall on shapeshifters who can't die before even getting close to harming your friend.
Because they can't let your Light be stolen too.
Then you are standing in front of the Soryuu Shrine, and you've watched your boyfriend's little sister smile and step into a void and not come back.
But for some reason you can still hear her, and you can almost see a little golden pearl falling through emptiness, until it lands in the clasped hands of someone very special. A Princess of Light.
She opens her red eyes and looks at you from within that infinite darkness.
Then she says the words she always says. The encouragement and the plea, because time is running out.
"Awaken the Princess."
Then you wake up in the Tsukino-Osaka Dorm. Luna is staring at you like she just saw a ghost.
