Scorpia has posed:
Sarah had rushed home, her heart stuttering with panic and her mind wracked with guilt. Hurting Ember- hurting Ryoko, was NEVER her plan, would never be. Yet? She had. Painfully hurt her. She wasn't even sure how badly.

The blonde already had a plan in place. She sets about arranging the dorm room the way she wanted. A small square table and two chairs sits between their beds, barely. She's managed to arrange them just right so that they'd both be able to sit and have some space. The table had a red tablecloth, a matching set of candlesticks, both with red candles lit up, and a huge platter of extra spicy lamb vindaloo sitting in the center.

Lights off, the candlelight flickers across the walls, around the space. She'd done all she could. The magical girl had even dressed up in her nicest set of clothes. So, with a deep breath, she kneels between the door and the rest of the room, legs tucked up under her, her body language and facial expression anxious.

Ryoko Gushiken has posed:
Once she was freed from Scorpia's lightning whips, Ryoko let the huge black bird carry her off back toward Obsidian Tower. She was grateful for her semblance, as she knew that she would have been torn apart had it not been for the magic keeping her together. But once she was back at the office and out of her henshin, Ryoko knew one thing for certain. She was going to be hurting for days.

So the raven-haired girl did not rush home. She was just not capable of it. But she didn't make any stops either. She didn't want to get chewed out by either Eudial or Hokori-sama right now, and so getting out of the office was the best thing to do. She could go home and see just where she really stood with her girlfriend. She was just moving slowly. Her joints all hurt.

The candles were melted more than halfway when the door swung open and Ryoko stepped in. She was dressed sharply in one of her black skirt suits and Louboutin stilettos. Just her usual office attire, really. She stopped just inside and let the door snap shut behind her. Her eyes drawn first to the flickering flame of the candles and then panning down to Sarah on her knees in front of her.

Her face was still for a moment as she took it in, her eyes locked on Sarah's. Then her lips slowly spread into a grin and she laughed. "Is this an apology dinner?" She stepped forward, wincing a bit at the pain in her hip and reached up to ruffle Sarah's hair. "That's real sweet of you, baby, but you don't need to apologize. I'd be disappointed if you started pulling your punches when we're at work." She leaned down to kiss Sarah's cheek and then stepped past her to take a seat at the table. "We should probably eat this before it gets too cold."

Scorpia has posed:
The blonde lets out a soft sob of relief when she sees her the grin on her girlfriend's face. She'd been SO scared that she would walk in angry, or even worse, disappointed. An internal shudder and she's standing up to follow Ryoko to the table. She helps her into her seat and pulls first her chair, and then the platter, closer. It was a tight fit, but she would make it work.

Sarah gets a forkful of curry and holds it out for the dark-haired girl next to her, a happy grin on her own face, "I really just wanted to stop that damn bird! I didn't even think about what it'd do to you. For making you feel so much pain, I'm SO sorry baby."

Ryoko Gushiken has posed:
Ryoko is not accustomed to being cared for. She's always had to take care of herself, and often others. It's a hefty responsibility being in charge. When Sarah pulls out her chair, it makes sense. She tugs the plate closer and pulls her seat around to be close, and that's sweet. But then she brings up a bite to feed her and Ryoko just stares at the food, doing her best to keep her feelings off her face.

Because she sees the look on Sarah's face. She sees how happy this makes her, so she opens her mouth and takes the bite. She can let the fire in her mouth distract her from the throbbing pain in her joints. "It's fine, really. My semblance held me together. I'm sure my joints will recover eventually," she says. Then she looks up and leans in close to rest her head on Sarah's shoulder. "But maybe next time lasso the bird instead of me?"

Really what she needed to do was learn to duskport, but that wasn't Sarah's business.

Scorpia has posed:
Sarah sees the look in her girl's eyes, on her face, and it softens her even more towards her. Resting her cheek atop her head, she sighs happily, "I will do everything that is within my power, to never hurt you again, my love."

And she's scooped up some more food to feed her with. She wasn't hungry. Not really. She had to take care of Ryoko. Because she had a very strong feeling that no one ever had. And she was hellbent on changing that.

Ryoko Gushiken has posed:
Ryoko lifted her head up to accept another bite of curry. Sarah had gone out to get her favorite. It wasn't just any extra spicy lamb vindaloo. It was from Korma Chameleon. And Ryoko didn't even have to feed herself. It was hard to believe this was her life.

"You have to treat Ember the same way you treat every other villain, Sarah," she says, her tone suddenly dead serious. "Because if you go soft on her, people are going to ask questions, and they might figure out Ember is your girlfriend. I know you won't tell people who I am on purpose, but we've got to pay attention to what we say with our actions too."

She grins. "Don't worry. I can take it. It was just a lucky shot that you got me in the first place anyway."

Scorpia has posed:
A surprised laugh bursts out of Sarah. She wraps her other arm around her girlfriend and gives her a gentle squeeze of her shoulders, "We'll see about that the next time we clash again, firefly." She continues to feed Ryoko bites of food and soaks up the playfulness of the moment. A moment she'd feared would be disastrous.

Ryoko Gushiken has posed:
The truth is her semblance had drained much of her energy reserves to keep her body together. The fact that her joints were feeling so much pain was a testament to how little she had left. So she was ravenous. "Mmhmm, we'll see," She agrees before she lets Sarah feed her bite after bite until the candles are melted down and the curry is gone. That was definitely at least two portions.

When she's finally done eating she sits up, turning to smile at Sarah and lifting her hand up to cup the blonde's cheek. She leans in to brush a very spicy kiss across her girlfriend's lips, and then says, "Don't underestimate me, lightning bug, you haven't seen everything I can do."

Scorpia has posed:
Sarah's heart warms as she returns the sweet kiss, grinning wide at the nickname, "I can't wait to see how stunning you are with all of that power. Just..." she pauses and her brows crease, "Do what you can to not hurt people too badly, please? I don't know what your aim is, or what your job needs you to do. I don't need to know. But I know who you are, Ryoko. I see you. And I love you. Ok?"

Ryoko Gushiken has posed:
Ryoko sighs and then looks away, her eyes turning to focus on the candles as their flames start to flicker close to going out. "I don't try to hurt people," she says quietly. "Grimm aren't exactly precision instruments, though. The portal you all stopped was not going to drain so much energy from any one person that it would have any lasting effect. That's why I deployed it at the theme park on a busy day. I do make an effort to minimize harm." Now that is some Dark Energy logic right there: minimize harm by affecting more people.

Scorpia has posed:
It's Sarah's turn to cup Ryoko's cheek, gently turning her face so that she's looking up at her. Her gaze is soft and she kisses the other girl's forehead before leaning her own against it, eyes closed. She whispers softly, "That's my girl."

She rests there for a few moments before pulling away and standing, "Come, let's get you into some pajamas and get you to bed. Rest will help your body."

Ryoko Gushiken has posed:
Ryoko is still for several moments after Sarah speaks. It is so hard to be cared for. It is so hard to let go of the control. She can't be vulnerable. She can't show weakness. Or at least she couldn't. Not until Sarah. The scorpion girl from another world just came along and stole her heart. She is so earnest, Ryoko knows she can trust her. She knows she's safe.

So she just lets Sarah guide her through the motions of changing into pajamas. It's honestly very helpful. All of her joints in her arms and legs hurt and so changing turns out to be just a little challenging. She lets her girlfriend tuck her into bed and as she's looking up at Sarah she grins. "Careful, if you treat me like this after every fight, I might start causing more trouble."

She's probably joking.

Right?
