- Entrapta (281) has posed:
Did you all get my note? Yes, the note that said 'meet me in Glimmer's room'. That note? Yes, that note! If it wasn't pretty much the expected behaviour from Entrapta, people might have been confused. Soon you'll be trying to save her from the Horde or tying her to a tree to keep her from walking into live fire.
But she's not actually there. On arrival, it seems that Entrapta has not, in fact, broken into Glimmer's quarters. I mean, they might have been unlocked but even so, it's hardly the first time.
If I were her, where would I be? There is no way that the air vents are substantial enough to actually carry a teenager. Are they?
There ...does seem to be some kind of sound from inside them, if anyone were to lean nearer. Also, someone put out tiny snacks. And two eyes peer out of the vent.
It appears that there are not so many changes from Who You Knew. What's this all about?
- Bow has posed:
Gloria's room? Bow knows where it is. He just hasn't visited since the whole incident with the runestone. Between Usagi and Rashmi convincing him that he needed space, and the whole thing with his own guilt, well. He's just not found a way to express himself - or more importantly - figure out his own feelings on it all. It's really not fair. Glimmer knows how it ended. He does not. He's a season behind.
But when Entrapta leaves the letter, Bow had a moment of panic. Does Glimmer know that Entrapta is coming? Grabbing his phone as he leaves his room, he fires off a quick text.
<TEXT> Luke Armbruster texts Gloria Moonhawk: Incoming! Entrapta's coming to visit your room! On my way!
Because in the end, he's still a knight of Brightmoon. And she's the queen, so he will act accordingly, as he makes his way over to the girl's dorms and finds his way to Gloria's room, probably the last person to arrive of the group, since well - he doesn't live here.
- Scorpia has posed:
Like most events involving her friends, Scorpia hasn't the slightest clue what's happening, or what she's been invited for. All she knows is that her friends need her. So she's going to be there for them. Entrapta, although being a younger version than the one the tall blonde knew on Etheria, was very much the same with her antics.
Grinning, she finds her way to Glimmer's room and enters. Her eyes zero in on the snacks and she woops, grabbing multiple and stuffing them in her face, waiting for the others to make appearances.
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk was not expecting that. For a moment, she'd glanced at the text and was like 'whatever'.
Then did a double take. WAIT THEY WERE GOING TO HER ROOM?! NO NO NO NO NO NO!
And she was off! Turns out, aside from class? She spent most her time at Obsidian tower. So her room was... mostly barren. Aside from the school supplied furniture. Also. Seriously. How did people sleep on a BED?! It didn't even work right! Hammocks, people!
So as everyone else was getting comfortable, eating tiny snacks... Gloria suddenly burst into the room. "I... I'm h-here," she said, panting, almost keeling over, hands on her knees.
Oh my gosh. How did people WALK everywhere?! On FOOT? They didn't even TELEPORT! They WALKED! WHY WOULD ANYONE DO THIS TO THEMSELVES?! Oh gosh, she was seeing stars...
She then leaned back against the wall, thumping it when she practically collapsed on it. OH yeah. She was fine. She was golden. "H-hey... S-scorpia..." Then saw Bow and... "Heyyyyy..." she said in a way that she thought sounded suave and smooth.
It was neither.
- Entrapta (281) has posed:
The ninja in the walls looks left as people enter. It appears that they were arriving, the ones that she knew to ask. She hasn't got room to really do anything, these vents are unreasonably tight after all, but she's not about to compromise her beliefs. Air vents are the travel option of the future.
Unless she can someday invent teleportation. But nobody really has that.
She squeezes forward a little bit, arms bunching to let her get some motion, and....that's a tight spot. Grumbling she twists, then she's...I'm stuck. No, it's just a temporary problem, nobody's ever been stuck in a vent. Ridicu...I'm stuck.
Then something bangs against the wall, and she squeaks! Slipping forward, she bangs her elbow. Then she bumps into the grate. Then it's opening! "Ack!"
Then Entrapta is upside-down on the floor next to the vent, one foot still stuck inside. She blinks, taking note of the concept of percussive maintenance options for venting. Then she's saying, "Um, hi."
She tugs on her foot, but it's caught on something. Suave and smooth, and nobody can see her underpants for the moment.
- Bow has posed:
When he saw the door partially open, Bow makes his way in, just to come across Scorpia already in place, and he puts away his bow. Yes, he was in full armor and bow, he's a knight. "You're not who I was expecting. You got the letter too? Need to teach that girl to text ahead of time." he starts to say, just as the door opens again behind him.
Heeeeey Glimmer says, neither smooth or swauve.
"Your Majesty," he responds, a small bow at his waist to Gloria, "I appreciate the..." the what? He doesn't get a chance to say. Know why?
That's when Entrapta appears!
Out comes the bow again, snapping around, the magical string appearing as he draws back an arrow from nowhere... before relaxing... just long enough to snap-fire said arrow to snap whatever it is that Entrapta's foot is tangled up in.
- Scorpia has posed:
In her surprise at Entrapta's sudden appearance, despite being something so trademark, Scorpia chokes on one of the tasty treats. Eyes watering, face reddened from her inability to breathe correctly, and loud coughs filling the room around all of its occupants, she does her best to choke out a "Hey guys!" It really just sounds like garbled nonsense, but she did her best!
As soon as she's able to breathe, at least a little bit better, she swoops in and grabs everyone into a giant bear hug.
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
"W-what? What is with the 'Your majesty' words, Bow? We're like, best friends. Seriously. You can call me Glimmer. Or, um, Gloria. So, uhhh... s-sup?" she asked before dropping to the ground, panting and sweating a bunch... "How do people run everywhere? This sucks... right... S-so... hi Entrapta," she said, giving the falling vent girl a wave.
She'd have been more frazzled, but... admittedly... air. She needed it. "W-why are you here, again?"
Only to then get group hugged. She gasped, eyes going wide and chuckling. "H-hey... S-Scorpia... wheeze... g-great t-to see you... t-too... heh.... s-sorry..."
And now they were likely all sweaty too.
- Entrapta (281) has posed:
Entrapta is about to fall, when she's swept up into a hug. An upside-down hug, after the bit of stuff holding her pants leg was cut by an arrow. An arrow, that's got to be something that's never happened before.
Mmf'ing into the hug, Entrapta looks confused, awkward, and uncomfortable? Yes, that sounds about right for the situation.
But, you know that all hugs have to end. And when this one does, she straightens herself out. "I called you." She explains this as if it's obvious. Which it was. Is. Was/is. "I need some help. With SCIENCE!" She beams as she says her favourite word, managing to stand up with a bit of help from a nearby Scorpia.
"Don't be silly, Bow. Majesty is a term reserved for queens and kings. Glimmer is a princess." She's very certain about some things. Most of them are wrong.
- Bow has posed:
Whatever the cold shoulder was, Bow does not get a chance to explain, because he's grasped into Scorpia's hug. And there's no getting out of that, even if he's squished between Scorpia and Glimmer.
It's not something to complain about, even if Glimmer is... glimmering with sweat.
As he's let go, Bow draws in a breath. "Okay, very long story short, Entrapta." he offers. "We're all from different points in the Etherian timeline. Scorpia and Glimmer are from the future. Me, I'm not so far in the future. But in my and her timelines, she's Queen now. That's another story." he lets out a breath.
"Glimmer nor Scorpia have shared their timeline, which is fine. Preserving that you know... what happens and all. If we ever go home."
"Anyway, I have a whole murder board on it!" He clears his throat.
"What did you need assistance with?"
- Scorpia has posed:
Scorpia, grinning, listens to her friends and nods. She turns her energetic eagerness to help towards Entrapta, "Yes! What can we help you with? I like helping! I'm not sure if I'll be much help, but I'll do my best!" And she sits on the edge of whatever piece of furniture is closest.
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk slowly manages to extract herself from the hug and then sits down on the never-used bed. "Oof. Yeah. I'm queen, now. My mom..." She paused as she searched for the right word. "Isn't around right now. But, well, I don't actually have juice, either." She snapped her fingers and there were no sparkles. Even her hair in henshin... had no light specks.
"And... what... kind of science? Please tell me you're not going to try and hack the planet with the black garnet again..."
She then looked to Bow. "Wait, a murder board? Oh my gosh, did someone DIE? Who died?!"
- Entrapta (281) has posed:
Entrapta was about to ask something, about how she wasn't sure we were all from the same time frames. Then Bow answered it. She pauses, rearranging the way this conversation was supposed to go in her head, and making some guesses about the nature of time.
Then she's about to ask something else, and a 'murder board' is brought up. That brings her short, mouth hanging a little bit open, along with wondering if she should call Glimmer something else. Aside from the code names. Maybe call her some help. Wait, is that what happened to Glimmer's mom?
"Well," she says as people focus on her a bit. "I was going to try to get some facts straight. But without any murder, that seems like it'd run counter to the goal here."
She shrugs. Her body says, 'ah well. Nobody's actually dead, so let's move on', and she does so. "I know that Etheria is a crystal-based magic. There are six crystals, according to the data that I had access to, but I'm pretty sure that information is out of date."
She rubs her head, then looks at each person. Scorpia, Glimmer, Bow. Not their names now, but she was never into names much anyway. "To my knowledge, it was a background radiation of magic that was caused by the crystals themselves. There were theories thrown around about the First Ones, but I have nearly no information on them. Can any of you tell me more?"
Then, without pausing, she adds, "The reason for this is so I can more accurately identify our home radiation types. I found out recently that I might be able to convert energy forms, but I don't know enough about ours. So we could all get some level of Etherian magic again."
Well, that bomb dropped. Fun?
- Bow has posed:
When Glimmer goes off track on murder boards, Bow reaches out and takes her shoulders in his hands, squeezing them to get the girl to focus on him, "A murder board is a human term for an information board. I've been gathering information on this world and how it works and trying to figure out... trying to figure out how we can either all get in synch, or something. Like what Adora did with her sword."
"The food looks good, doesn't it?" he asks Scorpia as he looks at the table, and picks up a tiny cake to snack on while he listens to Entrapta start her pitch.
"Seven. There's a rumored seventh stone, the Spirit Ember, which was fire. But that's the best place to start. Each one of the stones seemed to control one element that was required for life on Etheria. Each of the stones was tied to the Princess it was attached to. Which reminds me!"
His attention swivels back to Scorpia. "The Black Garnet was huge. But now you can wear it around your neck just as easily as Adora's stone is in her sword. How'd you make that happen?" he asks her curiously.
- Scorpia has posed:
Scorpia nods, her pincer tapping at the crystal around her neck. Truthfully, she had no idea. But she would try to find the words for Bow, for them all. Clearing her throat, she looks around at them all, "The last moment I remember before showing up here on Earth? Perfuma and I were headed to a ball together. One moment I was there, and the next? I was standing in the middle of a school dance here at the school. I'm not sure how my runestone transferred here, or why it chose to take this shape. But it's my only link to home, and it just seems fitting that it lies next to my heart when I'm walking around in my Earth form, no?"
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk smiled up at Bow and let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, good. Because, seriously. The only ones who could die here are like. Me and Scorpia, I guess. Well. And Horde Prime. That way it doesn't mess with our timelines, if things.... you know. Get fixed. But, ummmm... I don't think I'm going to be much help to you, Entrapta. I'm not really... connected to my runestone right now. I have no Etherian magic. Well... okay... I guess I have some. But it's not... quite the same. It's not powered by the runestone or Etherian magic anymore..."
She'd had to turn to dark energy...
She reached out and grabbed a small cake, taking a big bite of it before mmming... it was good... and she was really hungry.
- Entrapta (281) has posed:
"Neither do I, I've never found it to be a hindrance, Glimmer. Tell me more later, okay? I think that could help." But Entrapta says this distractedly, but she's kind of distracted so that would make sense.
You know how Scorpia is good at hugs? and Glimmer at panicking? Entrapta is good at data processing. Years of being alone, she's got a super-power that she can take in data like nobody else. And she caught a lot of new facts in what just was said.
"What's an Adora?" she asks, when it's all done. Laser-focused on the one real standout point in all of that chatter. The thing that didn't fit, with her current model of the universe.
Adora. Stone. Sword. We don't talk much.
But it doesn't last, and she's actually leaning toward Scorpia. "She has a runestone? You have one? Is it here? I've never actually seen one, can I touch it? I have so many tests I could do on a real runestone, you have no idea how much I could learn from one!"
Ever see a person's eyes start to spin? Now you have.
- Scorpia has posed:
Scorpia, was a terrible listener. Had been. On Etheria. Her time on Earth, however, she'd grown. At least a little bit. So, wide-eyed and intent, she sits and listens, focused so that she can contribute in a way that matters. When Bow asks her more about her stone, she tilts her head and shrugs, "I'm not sure if it's just a piece of it. I feel all of its power either way. So, it's either all here, just smaller. Or, this small piece is still directly connected to its mother all the way in Etheria. I don't know enough about enough to be able to tell you."
She chuckles and shakes her head, moving a pincer in front of her face and creating an orb of electricity between the tips, "All I know is? I'm glad I still have it." She turns to Glimmer and nudges her friend softly, shoulder to shoulder, in unspoken support.
- Bow has posed:
"It just adjusted to your departure?" Bow asks, eyes wide as Scorpia explains how at least 2 tons of magical stone suddenly became small and ended up around her neck. "Maybe it is just a bit of the stone? Enough to power you and keep your connection to it with Etheria, maybe?" he asks thoughtfully. "But that doesn't explain why all of Glimmer's showed up." And then the question turned to Adora.
"Do you know the legend of She-Ra?" Not Darth Palgueis the Wise. "Adora is her."
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk gave a soft shrug. "Yeah. The stones... well... their magic has always been... weird. And connected to us. It could be either or. MAybe it's just like... both? Or neither?" she said, before shrugging.
"Sorry, the smart stuff has always been like... Bow's department. I'm the casts spells, blasts light, teleports us all where we need to go girl."
She gave a small lean towards Scorpia, smiling up at her, before looking back to Entrapta. "Just... don't tamper with any runestones, okay? Last time you almost set off a chain reaction of... or you will, and it'll... oh, time stuff is weird," she finally settled on, shaking her head. "I'm sorry I can't offer much. My Runestone is trapped and we've only managed to move it out of the dusk zone and into Obsidian Tower. Past that, we haven't been able to move it since..."
- Entrapta (281) has posed:
Entrapta scratches her head. She rubs her eyes. She tries not to scream. Then she puts both of her hands on her knees, and leans forward.
"So, let me sum up, really quick, what I've just heard."
Deep breath.
"The legend of She-Ra, the person who was somehow linked to the First Ones and the reason why our planet has no stars, is real and is alive. Both Scorpia and Glimmer have runestones, the stones which our planet uses to generate magic, and they are here on earth. Glimmer's stone is out of reach right now but with enough work we could possibly do something about that. And there's another rune stone that this Adora person has, who I have never met. Also at some point in my future I set off a chain reaction of some type that is so bad that you're avoiding talking about it in any direct fashion."
Calm, but intense. She says, "And nobody has told me any of this, until just now, when I might have possibly been able to start gathering information on it literally weeks ago?"
She taps her fingers on her knee, waiting for an answer.
- Bow has posed:
Bow listens to all of this, considering as he sticks a tiny cake in his mouth. He muses over it all. And finally, he comes up with the decision he has to make in this situation...
He gestures to Glimmer. "She's the Queen of Brightmoon, I thought she'd brought you to speed!"
Bus, meet Glimmer.
- Scorpia has posed:
A slow blink. Was this Entrapta being mad? Was she able to get mad? The blonde couldn't remember a time where the quirky girl had ever really gotten angry angry before. The calmness with which she was speaking, was unnerving, either way. Scorpia bites her lip in an attempt not to laugh at Bow's answer, and nods, "In my defense, I don't know much more than you do!"
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk blinked a few times, her mouth falling open. Did. Did Bow just throw her under the bus?! "What?!" Glimmer shrieked, her voice going high pitched for a moment. "How am I supposed to bring her up to speed? I don't speak nerd! Besides, you were always the one who was good with like, people! Last time I involved Entrapta in anything we thought she died and then she joined the Horde! Then they tried to kill her and YOU found her, not me! Absolutely no good can come with me doing that! What am I supposed to do, introduce her to Riventon? Cause trust me. THAT will just make EVERYTHING worse! They'll find some way to hack THIS planet!"
Oh, there was a conversation.
- Entrapta (281) has posed:
Entrapta just puts one hand on her own forehead. Then she sits up, and sighs. "I need to find a way to do this better," she says to herself. Then she gets up. Gets up, and paces.
"You're fine," she says to Scorpia, though she's not really looking when she says it. She has no idea what is going on between Bow and Glimmer, but it's getting in the way of her work. So she says, "I need to math this. I'll get back to you all when I've got some answers."
And then she's going out the door.
That...was not the exit. That was a closet. She's walked into Glimmer's closet.
"Wait, where am I now?" her voice says, muffled, from inside. To be fair, she probably isn't maxed out on wisdom, for all her other stats.
- Bow has posed:
Bow blinks. And blinks some more. "SPEAK NERD?! Is that all I am to you? Your nerd translator?! She joined the Horde because we all thought she was dead when she wasn't! If anyone's to blame for that, it's Catra!" he quickly adds. "You're always like this! Delegating and defelecting, unless it's something you want!"
"And no, I don't want to introduce her to YOUR GOOD FRIEND Riventon, look what he's DONE TO YOU!"
He makes his way to the closet door, opens it. "Entrapta. Wrong door."
- Scorpia has posed:
Standing, just because the mood in the room has escalated way higher than she wanted it to be, Scorpia blinks and kind of, doesn't really know what to do with anything being said... or with Entrapta walking into a closet? The only solution, besides eating yummy food, was hugs. Hugs she could do. As her Etherian self, or her Earthen self.
She scoops Glimmer unceremoniously up into the crook of one arm on her way to Bow, scoops him up in the other and steps into the closet, adding the younger girl to the massive hug. She closes her eyes and just sways with them all, a soft melody of some unknown song resonating from within her. There was too much fighting between friends. Too much anger. Too much uncertainty. Whether or not her companions stay in her embrace, Scorpia takes a deep breath and shifts to her human self before opening her eyes again and speaking softly, "I know. That a lot has happened since being on Earth. But the important part is that we're together. We can do anything we have to do, just like when we defeated Horde Prime and saved our precious planet. I know it's scary, all of the odds stacked against us. But it's not our first time, and I'm sure it won't be the last."
Turning her somber attention to Entrapta, she nods, "You do the math. You're so good at math. But don't do this alone. Alone is when we fail. Bow can help with the science and the tech. You tell the rest of us how we can help. What we need to do. And we'll be there."
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk gave a sigh and face palmed. "Entrapta, come out of the closet," she said. For Bow's sake--
"Wait, WHAT?!" she asked, looking up at him. "Of course you're not just a nerd translator! You're my best friend but YOU'RE the nerd! I do the magic stuff, you figure out how all the tech works, make weird transceivers, understand what the first one's are trying to--"
And then she was snatched into a hug with a squeak. And... and she was making it SO HARD to be mad at Bow... She lowered her gaze and... "Fine. Bow, Riventon hasn't done anything but try to help me. But you're right. I'm putting off.... too much on you. Entrapta, I'll.... get you the information, later. I'll stop delegating. I'll figure this out. I just... need to thing." She tried to pull away from Scorpia, but well.... the girl was built like a brick house. "Ugggggh..." she said, before henshining! And... becoming... well. The real Glimmer. Except her hair didn't have any sparkle. Just... darkness sparkles. As did her clothes. "... Just lock up when you're done."
And then she disappeared, dusk porting away.
- Bow has posed:
Bow is scooped up into Scorpia's hug, and he doesn't even just try to fight it, he knows better. "And you're my best friend and I care a lot about you and I worry about you, and I want to help Entrapta and you and..."
Glimmer transforms.
Except she's no longer Glimmer. The darkness that's wrapped around her, that corrupts her. "....oh Glimmer." he says quietly, his tone heartbroken. "What have you done?"
And then Dark Glimmer is gone.
And there's nothing Bow can do about it.
- Entrapta (281) has posed:
Entrapta comes out of the closet, but only in one way. Really, being hugged out is probably a good method in general, and she's started to understand why people do the hug thing.
"I wasn't.." she starts to say, but then there's a lot of other things going on. See, she really doesn't 'get' hugs yet, but she isn't exactly resistant to them. Also, all these social events happening are super-confusing.
So she lets Scorpia hug it out, assumes that the math is on her shoulders (that part was pretty obvious, honestly) and then when it's all done, she says, "Feelings seem to be getting hurt..." And she doesn't actually know why.
So, with Bow worried about Glimmer, and Scorpia worried about everyone, and Glimmer just generally worried, she asks one last thing.
"Can I call you later?" Because, even to her, she knows that this isn't the time. It is that obvious. And she probably will.
