"PLASMABOLZEN!"
Those cerulean flecks fall as a flash of emerald light explodes in the distance for Veronica Perenna, an island of reality coming into existence in the endless Nothing.
Flight towards it finds a small, unstable island, a knight standing vigil over a fallen form. This knight wears armor not entirely unlike Aloisia's, but bears only one shield, and has shocking red hair and green eyes -- not unlike the Pawn that had been fought before. Though she bears a shield, she bears it like it were a stabbing weapon, herself, the sharp spikes at the bottom of it pointed out at that infinite nothingness, that darkness trying to creep in on her little sanctuary.
"PLASMABOLZEN!"
As the darkness begins to encroach once more, that voice screams out once more, launching a sphere of emerald green energy out at that encroaching darkness, that explosion of plasma expanding and restoring that little island of Reality inside of the Nothing. It's stable, for now.
Though her armor is tarnished, though she looks exhausted, and the ever slightest edge of despiration is on her face, she still has a certain air about her, a reassuring energy that warms the heart and calms fears.
This is the Unstoppable SIster, she who never loses.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
As soon as nothingness dropped and directions became a lot more arbitrary, the Princess of Sarek became nothing herself, an ethereal phantom concealing herself from sight while she thinks and tries to regroup with her friends. Leaping in the darkness, she quickly adjusts her direction once nothing becomes something again, the emerald that is much more reminiscent of Aloisia becoming her guiding light.
As her feet enter that sudden sanctuary, her concealment drops and with a look at the fatigued figure, and at the encroaching darkness, the Princess of Sarek musters her own forces, the ruby on her finger shining while her cane is pointed in the direction the Unstoppable Sister is facing, a roaring beam of flame coming to life at the cat thief's call. "Seven-hued Flame!"
"Thanks a lot for the help", Veronica turns towards the vigil knight with a bow. "I am glad to see you again, Aloisia-san, if you are her. What is going to happen now? Could you please tell me where are the others?" she asks poised, her rigid tail betraying her concern.
- Aloisia Stauss has posed:
When Clouds build up inside
My song can clear the sky
That roaring beam of flame shoots into the darkness, cutting through it and leaving a small path in its wake shoots off into the distance, eventually disappearing beyond sight.
That darkness slowly flows back in like an infinite sea, though the cerulean flecks of energy fall upon the edges, lapping away at that darkness, that path remaining, at least during this Moment between Moments. A quiet song begins to come to the back of Veronica's mind, a song of hope and love and invincibility when working together with friends.
"Regrettably, I am not her."
The Unstoppable Sister turns towards the Princess of Sarek, her smile calm and warm. On the ground beside her, that fallen Princess lays there, breathing slowly and evenly, her face obscured by dark static that never allows one to see it truly. The unstoppable sister kneels next to her, a hand gently resting on her hand. "I saved what I could of her." A pause, as she seemingly muses over those questions. "We will have to defeat Konigsende, that is the only way I can see for us to get out of this space. I am confident with all of us here, we can escape. You-- and the others, though you cannot see them at the moment -- are exactly what we need here."
A pause.
"The others are here, too. Having their own Moment between Moments while we get ready to support you in the fight ahead. You will see them soon, I promise." She says warmly, no lie within her voice.
"I do not have too much time to maintain this form, it is only a borrowed one. Is there anything else you would like to know before this Moment ends?"
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Influenced by the hope of the song, the Princess of Sarek finds herself humming along as she listens to what the armored knight has to say. "I appreciate you doing all of this", she is spurred to say when the knight speaks of Aloisia's current state. Even if not actually her, it is a relief to know that she is still there, under Konigsende's oppressive presence. Once they defeat her. "Does Konigsende think the trial is over, or do they have a next step too?"
Knowing that there are other moments between moments, she looks around, trying to peer at other sanctuaries, finding another sign of where she could go, but the Unstoppable Sister is right, the blonde thief does not see them yet. All the same, her faith bolstened by the knight's song, she is confident she will see them soon.
She approaches the other person, looking at her with respect and sympathy for all her efforts and for giving them all a reprieve before the final stretch. "Thanks for this final oasis, I promise you will not have to endure much longer. Do you accept a hug?", she moves closer, giving her one if met with assent.
- Aloisia Stauss has posed:
"The trial is, technically, over. All of the jewels of trial have been gathered and defeated. Normally the rest would be all ceremonies as the new ruler is congratulated on their success. Konigsende is a corruption of the ritual. King's end -- a creation of pure spite meant to destroy House Steiner in ages long past by a family line that has long since forgotten its grudge." The Unstoppable Sister replies.
Beyond that little sanctuary -- and the little path that the Princess of Sarek had created -- there is naught but the inifinite darkness with flecks of cerulean slowly drifting down beyond the sanctuary they stand upon. A small oasis of peace within that infinite End.
The blonde thief is given a warm smile at that thanks and the offer of a hug. As Veronica moves closer, she would accept the hug, wrapping one arm around her, while the shield-bearing arm is lifted to lightly pat the top of the younger woman's head. "Would that I could give you more, but I must save what little strength I have to aid you in the battle ahead." She leans down with intent to place a soft kiss upon the top of Veronica's head, as golden light begins to consume the sanctuary.
"We shall see you on the other side."
And then, consumed in that golden light, the Princess of Sarek is sent off to the battle that awaits.
