Date of Scene: | 13 April 2025 |
Location: | Cafeteria Plaza |
Synopsis: | During lunch Minako is joined by Amy, and a surprise appearance by Ace touring the campus. Though Minako is distracted by trying to make sure Ace doesn't follow his usual habit of disapearing as soon as she looks away, Amy and Ace talk about clubs and find some bit of commonality. |
Cast of Characters: | Minako Aino, 222, Amanda Faust |
- Minako Aino has posed:
Tiramisu. Normally this lunch time treat was a *very* good treat that Minako was more than eager to sweep up onto her tray. She'd done so this time out of habit even, intending to enjoy it after her plate of totally authentic pasta (as much as Japanese style Italian pasta is authentic). Instead she finds herself staring at it as she recalls the last time she had tiramisu with a small frown on her face.
Dessert should not be this troubling.
Lightly she pokes at it with the fork she'd picked up watching the custard jiggle slightly in response as if to prove it wasn't a threat of any sort. It really wasn't.
A sigh comes as she opts to just spin up some of the sauced pasta on her fork instead. Food first, contemplation later.
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"How's the tiramisu today?" Ace wonders, leaning over a bit from where he stands behind Minako's seat at the cafeteria table, blinking down at her tray from above.
Her state of mind is most likely one where she didn't notice him coming up behind her, and so one has to wonder just how much color her response is going to have, especially given that it was probably going to be *anyone's* guess when and how she was going to see him again. She'll see he's dressed in casual clothes with a simple windbreaker jacket over dark shirt and pants, a visitor's pass hanging from a lanyard around his neck at least explaining the question of *how* he's here.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"Not hungry?" Amy wonders as she approaches from the other side across the table with her plate of pasta and a fruit drink. And then she looks at the boy standing across from her behind Minako. Her eyes note silvery hair and blue-ish eyes, and follow the lanyard down to a visitor's pass. "...Oh."
She looks back up to him. "Jacket's a good look. Are you a friend of Aino-san's looking to enroll?"
- Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino was usually pretty good at keeping herself aware of what was going on around her. Like Amy! She'd seen the other girls approach so was aware of that person coming in to join the table. Ace though? She startles a bit with a little jolt that snaps her head back to stare upside-down at Ace with wide eyes. The fork she'd held falls to the plate making just a little bit of a mess (but thankfully Japanese style pasta wasn't as saucy as authentic pasta so no splash.)
"Ace! How did... WHEN did...!" The questions never really finish. Amy's arrival causes her to sit properly instead of craning her neck back to blink at the question of being not hungry.
What kind of question was that? She could always eat!
"No, I was thinking about..." No no, don't mention that. Ace proves to be a useful distraction as she gives a firm nod. "Ace and I go way back. ARE you thinking of joining RHA? Amy-chan this is Ace." Last time? Pfft no.
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
Minako's sputtering question at least gets a somewhat sheepish smile in return, as Ace at least seems *marginally* aware that just coming up on her was probably unfair. But looking over as Amy comes up, and sparing one last concerned look at Minako (he did notice her troubled air, it seems) before turning to offer a friendly smile to the other girl.
"Thank you! Ace Saijou -- pleased to meet you!" Since she has her hands full with the tray, Ace simply dips his head in greeting to Amy. "And yes -- I heard about this school, and was thinking about enrolling, so I thought I'd take a look around. It's too late, is it?"
He hopes not. He has more than one reason to enroll (even if the strongest reason is sitting right at the table).
- Amanda Faust has posed:
When Minako introduces them, Amy offers a slight smile and a quick two-finger wave. "Heya. Amanda Faust, Amy for short." She looks between the other two. "Childhood friends, huh?"
She has read a lot of manga about childhood friends. A lot a lot.
She does know the difference between manga and reality, but part of her can't help but wonder what Minako-has-been-unlucky-in-love + a-childhood-friend-appears equals.
Another part of her pipes up that friends can just be friends, too -- after all, she's non-romantic friends with lots of girls!
Ace gives her The Nod and she reflextively returns it.
Anyway, she can honestly say, as she sets down her tray across from Minako, "Nice to meet you too! Radiant Heart is a really nice place. Best people, nice staff, it's like nowhere else in the world. I wish I'd started school here." And she shakes her head at the question of it being too late. "I transferred in right before summer break a couple of years ago, there's no wrong time."
She sits down at the table, "Do you have any particular questions about the place? I love giving helpful exposition."
- Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino busies herself momentarily with tidying up the mess of her tray with a napkin. No blouses were harmed in this moment of being surprised at least. "I doubt it's too late, people transfer in all the time," she points out with a shrug. "Besides you've been out of the country." That's as good an excuse as any even if it IS partially true as well. "Amy is very knowledgable about a lot of things and loves to talk about it. It is a good school though," she has to agree.
Even now she finds herself glancing over to Ace trying not to outright stare at his appearance. He so often disapeared that there's a nagging feeling he might vanish if she looked away for too long. "Why don't you join us?"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"Ah, not *that* far back," Ace corrects wistfully, in regards to being childhood friends with Minako. "Although I wouldn't have minded! Or maybe I would have -- Minako strikes me as someone who got into quite a bit of trouble growing up~" he adds teasingly, grinning aside at the potential past troublemaker in question.
"Ah, thank you!" Ace seems willing to sit and talk this time at least, so if a disappearance is in the cards, it won't be right away. And so he takes the seat next to Minako as he responds to Amy. "Questions about the place? Mmmm... I'm not quite sure what to ask I actually never went to school myself," he adds by way of explanation. "So I'm not quite sure where to begin. I imagine there's all sorts of things that's going to take me by surprise!"
Minako would know at least, that Ace's history has been... spotty, given the sort of people he ended up working for previously. But she at least, will get the impression he's being completely serious about this part.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy smiles more as she is recognized as 'knowledgeable about a lot of things'! She sips her juice as Ace speaks, looking surprised that he never went to school. "Hmmmmm. Well, until I came here, I would rather have been homeschooled, honestly. I'm... not the best, heh, to try and sell you on 'school' as a method of education. But..." she looks down at the table. "...This is a special place, with good people, at least."
She takes a breath and clicks her tongue, thinking about what to say before looking up at him again. "If all you know of it is TV and books, I think you'll be surprised by how much time is school and clubs. They even make us go to class for half-days on Saturdays! So uh. Be ready for that. Sometimes I do long for the amount of free time I had... uh, back in America."
She leans to one side slightly looking thoughtful. "On organized education in general... uh, well, basically, they're gonna try to place you with others who learn at about the same speed, but it's different for everyone..."
Realization of a better way to explain that flashes across her face. "Are you, uh... Do adults call you 'gifted'? I mean... I'm not judging, and I can tell you, it's no predictor of success later in life or anything, but as far as talking about the expected experience... I think that's gonna be very different, depending on how much you struggle, or excel, or are average at academics."
- Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino settles into the conversation as much as she can having a 'normal' experience unlike the other two she was currently seated with. The distraction at least means she can eat without worrying how she looks. Soon enough the pasta is more than half-gone between bites and dabs at her mouth with a napkin.
"Ace was an idol and actor. They usually get homeschooled or have cram schools or tutors they deal with." It's all stated matter-of-fact because she was once an idol chaser so knew these details. Which is why she pauses realizing what she'd said.
"Oh, uh, so I've heard." Excellent save!
"If you have any trouble with the curriculum I'm sure Ami-chan can help out. She's great at tutoring. A different Ami," she adds with a nod toward Amy. "Although maybe she could help you too if you need. Honestly I know a lot of people with really good grades." Notably she does not offer to help.
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"It's more or less as she says," Ace notes, giving Minako a grateful look for putting it simply. "But I wouldn't call myself 'gifted!'" he demurs, actually blushing a bit. "I may have done well enough to make a career out of it, but lots of people work much harder than me, and have gotten much further too!" Talented, sure. Prodigy? No. An amount of ego may unavoidable for life in the spotlight, he hasn't cultivated enough to regard himself as "gifted" by any definition of the word.
The fact that his prospective life here may include less free time than his previous one, doesn't seem to bother him any -- in fact, his interest seems to take a keener edge once Amy mentions the alternative. Not the half-day part, but -- "Clubs? I've been curious about those! What kind of clubs are you two in?" Looking back and forth at both girls now.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy simply nods at Minako's initial explanation. They 'go way back', so it's expected she'd know something about how his differed from the 'average' experience. Also, she's heard the same about child actors anyway. That reminds her, she needs to rewatch Kodocha sometime, it has been awhile--
She looks briefly confused as Minako appends 'so I've heard', and wonders if she missed something...
Amy nods, "I've come to a couple of her group tutoring sessions for Usagi and friends. Just because I don't need it in math and science doesn't mean I can't benefit in other areas... my grades have been slipping, it's a struggle to go to school and--" wait, Minako didn't just say he's magic so he's probably not, "--a-and, uh, keep up my hobby of reading manga when we spend so much time in class." Excellent save!
"Ah, and clubs! Uhh... well... It sounds like classes will be a more average experience for you? You can ask, uh, someone else about that. As for clubs... eh-heh... well, I'm in RPG club, various members are in various weekly tabletop games and also sometimes we meet to discuss games, swap war stories, and talk about techniques for playing or building characters, or for running games and stuff like that... it's cool!"
"I'm also in computer club with Mizuno-san, and... Honestly I don't participate as much these days, but it kind of spreads out to include electronics hobbyists in general? You know, like seeing what cool stuff can be built with a Blueberry Pi or a Deweyno hooked up to some electronics, or finding uses for old or unusual computer hardware we get our hands on, as well as like, programming and building websites and stuff like you'd expect."
"Honestly it's a lot more active than in the old days, back then we mostly sat around discussing what cool games we'd make if any of us had the tools to make games-- uh I mean, back in America-- at my old school, I mean."
"Why, what clubs might you be interested in?"
And she also looks to Minako, curious to learn what clubs the blonde is in.
- Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino pauses mid-bite to chew thoughtfully as she listens to the apparent interest in clubs. This part was interesting at least! It wasn't academic, it was *doing stuff* so that was at least more up her alley. The fact that Ace seemed interested was also a good sign perhaps.
"I'm in volleyball club, and karaoke club. Although it's been awhile since Karaoke club has done much of anything to be honest." A light tap of her fork against her lip and she recalls that's probably bad manners. Darn forks.
"I want to be an idol too some day so I like to practice my singing and dancing, but I just don't have the time to devote to it, really." When did she want to become an idol? For a moment her expression slips slightly out of focus as she tries to recall when that came up before shrugging it off again.
"Otherwise I like to play video games at the arcade, and spend time with my friends, too. Volleyball is always fun and a great workout."
The almost-slip from Amy earns the slightest of nods in her direction. A quiet 'thanks' although it would eventually get out. There were still people she wanted Ace to talk to first before divulging everything. She couldn't be so care-free as she was in the past when working alone.
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"Gaming club? War stories?" Ace blinks a bit at Amy's explanation. "What.. sort of games do you play, exactly?" Of course he does know what an "RPG" is, but his idea of it tends to include things like hunting slimes and saving the world -- and it's not a tabletop experience either. Which is making him wonder if he misheard Amy somehow, since to *his* thinking, she's describing something that sounds about 40,000 years apart from his image of things.
"What kind of clubs would *I* be interested in?" And Ace blinks again, clearly startled -- perhaps at the realization that he never gave it much thought himself. "Well -- I'm no good with computers," he admits. "But I wouldn't mind contributing what I *do* know at least. I did do some acting for awhile, so maybe I could -- "
But that's when Minako says something that *immediately* catches his attention -- and all of a sudden he's turned aside leaning in closer, gazing into the blonde girl's face with a sudden keen interest.
"I want to hear you sing!"
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"Uh... like Dungeons & Dragons? And Savage Worlds? Uhhh... 'war stories' is metaphorical, like... the way people will go on about crazy stuff that happened in a game they were in they remember fondly... uh... I'm not sure how to explain that to a normie..."
Fortunately, Minako can talk about her own clubs. "Oh! I joined choir club recently too, there's a karaoke club?" Amy is both reminded and surprised.
She looks down at the table. "Volleyball... I never liked sports because other kids were terrible, but maybe here..." She shakes her head. "There's just not time. Volleyball's fun but I just wouldn't be able to spike the ball like I used... to... in kid's volleyball! They had a lower net. I uh, did soccer too." Excellent save!
"If I didn't have... other things... maybe sports would've been fun. I did kinda like physical activities as a kid. I go to, uh, Inai-san's self-defense classes sometimes." Mixed emotions flicker over her face.
At any rate, she doesn't seem at all surprised to hear anyone here wants to become an idol.
She looks from Ace, at his declaration, to Minako, then back to Ace. "...There is drama club, for acting, by the way." She quickly asides, before focusing on Minako and smiling earnestly. "I wouldn't mind hearing you sing either!"
- Minako Aino has posed:
It was rather nice to just chatter about mundane things at times like this. Mina starts to smile a bit allowing herself to relax, just a bit, from the tension of being surprised by Ace yet again.
That intent stare as he leans in closer draws her attention again along with the slightest flush to her cheeks at his eager remark followed quickly by Amy's own.
"Oh! I guess I never did sing back then, huh?" An awkward little laugh comes as she looks between the pair nodding. "I mean sure. We can always hit up karaoke sometime or the club room for it. I could use to brush up a bit anyway."
Amy's suggestion of drama club causes her to nod quickly. "That too. You'd be very good at that, Ace. Then again you are always great at entrances. You'd be welcome to join any club you want, I bet. I mean you're cute so of course they'd want you in their club. It's a great way to draw new members!"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
Although Minako is pretty much guaranteed to get Ace's attention at any given moment, something about Amy's shift in mood does catch his -- he pauses and looks over at the other girl, his look becoming one of concern. But whatever the reason for it, he doesn't seem inclined to press on it as he sits back instead. "Ah, there is one after all? That's good! But I wouldn't mind learning more about those games you mentioned too. The quickest way to explain something to a 'normie' is to make them not one anymore, right?" he adds lightly.
Minako's compliments get *him* to blush now, and he gives her a wry look as she points out how his looks will get him to draw new members. "You're suggesting a become a club mascot?" He does pause however, that wry look turning thoughfful. "Although.... I *guess* that could be fun too... !" Uh oh.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy scrutinizes Ace's face for a moment after Minako declaring he's cute reminds her that people into guys see things in a way she can't. Right.
She nods at Minako suggesting going for karaoke or to the club room sometime.
And to Ace when he suggests trying tabletop RPGs. "You're welcome to stop by! We're often happy to talk to curious folks at the clubroom, or let you sit in or play a character. Fastest way to learn!" She smiles.
She gives Minako a curious look. "A club mascot? Is that a thing?" She stares into the distance and considers this. When he says it sounds fun, she mutters, "I guess it could be kinda nice..."
- Minako Aino has posed:
"A mascot? Well I didn't quite mean that, but kind of a spokes person?" Minako really has to pause to consider that a moment. Her head dips forward, chin cupped in hand, as she thinks. "I just meant a lot of girls, maybe some guys too, would be interested in joining in if around people they like."
It's about now her phone chirps at her. With the gusto of someone that knows they need to go *now* she shovels the remainder of her pasta into her mouth to gulp down with perhaps worrisome speed.
"Speaking of clubs I gotta go, got a meeting about a match with another school for volleyball club," she explains once she swallows. Somehow she managed not to choke on it. "I'll see you around?" It's not just a remark but an actual question as her gaze flits away from Amy to linger on Ace a long moment. She doesn't get to stay long though, as she has to turn to rush off.
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
Ace looks startled as Minako rushes off like that -- but can't help but give a small, pleased little smile as he gazes after her. Whatever she has earned for herself so far in this life of hers, he sees that it is certainly a busy one -- and that means, hopefully, a full and rich one as well.
And the fact that he is here, now, is because he had decided it was time to seek one for himself as well.
And to that end, he seems to have found a willing enough guide. And one about to lead him into some strange, exciting new territory, that.
"So, Amy -- tell me more about 'tabletop' gaming. You're not talking about things like 'go' or 'shogi' right?" Those two games she had mentioned are unfortunately, lost on him. "You said something about 'playing a character.' Is it like those video games where you're on a quest to become a hero... ?" He seems to be getting the general idea, at least!
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy blinks at Minako as she explains what she meant. "Can they really like him when they don't even know him yet?" And then Minako's phone chirps and she has to go. "Oh, good luck, seeya around!"
She is left with Ace and her food, and finally lifts a forkful of pasta to her mouth and chews. She looks back to Ace as she considers his question. "So you've never heard of role-playing games... the tabletop kind, anyway. Uh... So basically, it's part collaborative storytelling and improv, and varying amounts tactical game, depending on the game and the 'campaign'."
She cocks her head slightly to one side and raises a hand beside her head to gesture vaguely. "Uhh, Dungeons & Dragons got its start after some wargamers who were playing western fantasy rather than historical wargames, said 'hey what if instead of just a series of military battles, we followed the story of a small group of adventurers?' So, a lot of terms, and the way combat encounters are resolved in some games, are inspired by tabletop wargaming."
"In this case a 'campaign' is the connected series of adventures that are all part of the same story, being roleplayed and improvised by mostly the same group."
She straightens up and blinks. "A-anyway, most of the players each control and describe the actions of a single character, usually that they made up, while one person, the game master, decides how the world reacts, and how all the minor and secondary characters and antagonists and such will act. Frequently, dice are used to make outcomes random and unpredictable, because it lends a bit of verisimilatude to the story as things don't always happen in the most convenient or dramatic way... plus, when something amazing or ridiculous does happen in the story, it feels less arbitrary when you know there was a much greater chance it wasn't going to happen."
"Um, with me so far?"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"I... think so, yes," Ace says slowly, starting to nod. "It *is* like those video games, only things like the hit percentages and such, they're not decided by computer. And everything else follows a script?" As a former actor, that part he can understand, at least! "Only as you say, it's improv -- you *are* playing a role, the character you take on. And the 'game master' is the director -- or more like a storyteller in this case, perhaps... "
Slowly, his nodding becomes more energetic. "And dice, as you say, adds the element of chance -- it keeps things exciting! That... actually sounds like fun!"
- Amanda Faust has posed:
A script? Amy shakes her head, "Oh, no, it's not scripted--" but then he continues, highlighting the intro part, and she nods. "Uhhh... kinda! Director and storyteller is kinda shared between everyone, to some degree. Sometimes players will describe cinematic moments with their characters."
He's getting excited, and it's infectious, and her face brightens at the prospect of someone who may want to share a geeky interest!
It may be more popular and normalized now thanks to professional actors streaming their games, but Amy is from a time where it was regarded as extremely niche.
"You should come try it out! And I'm happy to answer more questions-- oh, but what do you already do for fun, I didn't ask?"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"No no, it's fine! I -- "
Here however, Ace pauses. What does he do for fun? He does have an idea about that, but it's something he can't exactly talk about here -- the exploits of a masked thief are something he doesn't want to tip his hand to just yet.
He finds though, he doesn't really have to do a whole lot of quick thinking to answer -- the feelings behind that plan are still there. "I'm... still finding that out, actually," he admits. "I've always been busy, in one way or another, as far back as I can remember. Acting lessons, vocal training -- " Conspiring with others to take over over the galaxy. " -- and then rehearsals, shoots, performances... "
"But things changed," he murmurs. They certainly did. "And well... this is part of those changes. I'm trying to figure out who *I* am in this life, trying to figure out who I am behind it all. And this would be part of that. I do love acting, and I do love music. But I think... I'm looking for something aside from that too. Something I can to turn to when it's time to put those things down. Does that make any sense... ?" This might very well be a heavy topic for a high schooler, he realizes (or for a "typical" one, at least) and he offers her an apologetic look.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy looks mildly surprised that he hasn't gotten to find out what he likes, but nods along... and when he says he's trying to figure out who he is in this life, she nods enthusiastically, "Yeah, mood. Like where do you even start, after being... 'busy', or something else, kept you from exploring a lot of things your whole life?"
"And I think it's normal to have multiple interests actually! Like... we mentioned those clubs, but lately I've had an interest in lucid dreaming, there's not a club for that. And I may like singing, but I also like listening to pop and electronic music, and film scores. I like speculative fiction stories. I play videogames. I guess I'm a liiiiittle bit of a guns and military weapons geek, though not to the degree of most who'd self-describe that way. And I like gender-bender manga. And old videogames. and mecha! And transhumanist stuff. I like learning the science of how the world works. Ummm... lots of things!"
She smiles slightly awkwardly, wondering if maybe that was too much. "So see, saying 'I want to do more than just acting and music' is plenty normal, I think!'"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"Hah! I've only just met you, and I'm already a little jealous!" Ace admits, grinning at her in a way that would probably have had his female fans' hearts racing. But even if this wasn't the question of the wrong tree, he's not actually trying to bark up it here -- he's genuinely impressed, and he finds it genuinely appealing to see the girl talk about her interest. "You're interested in so many fun-sounding things! Lucid dreaming... hm... "
Which does sound fun, if a little bittersweet. There's a time and place that he will only ever see again in his dreams. And a person there who, although not quite so far out of his reach as they once were -- that person, it would be nice to say things to he didn't get to say before, if he ever gets the chance. If only in his dreams, at least.
Quickly though he brings himself back to the present. "But thank you for not laughing. I get the feeling I'm going to come off as strange to a *lot* of people here," he adds, rubbing a hand sheepishly behind his head.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"Huh? About what??" Amy's confused at the thought of anyone being jealous over... anything she just talked about. Although that enthusiastic grin is certainly a much more positive reaction than she could've gotten! "R-really? All of them?" She even threw in a weird one while she was gushing!
"It does sound fun! I've only managed it a few times ever, by accident sadly. I did fly a couple of times. One time the handling was terrible and I was worried I'd hit power lines -- which I guess shouldn't be a problem if you know it's a dream, but eh, I wasn't thinking about that -- and the other time I pulled back on the steering wheel like I was flying a plane and my car went up, but that was a nap I woke up from pretty quickly--"
She realizes she's rambling with an embarassed grin, "Uh, anyway, I thought the idea of being able to do fantastic stuff on purpose in your dreams by controlling them sounds pretty neat, yeah!"
"Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get it to happen on purpose. Most of my 'practical' knowledge, if you can call it that, is about ways to tell that you're in a dream -- but being able to think you might be in the first place is... hard, when you're dreaming."
She blinks. "Dude, you didn't laugh at me, even when I said I'm into... niche manga. Why would anyone think you're strange?"
She counts off on her fingers. "You're conventionally attractive, you're a former actor, and idol, and you're friendly... I may be autistic, but even I can tell those are more likely to add up to popularity and people wanting to know you rather than shun you..."
She then looks thoughtful as she wonders if she missed something, "...Right?"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
And although Ace blushes a bit as she counts up those points, that rueful smile comes back at her query. "People might want to know what they *see* of me -- they could easily end up disappointed in the real me. After all, everyone here working hard in their own way -- some could even be insulted, possibly, at the idea that someone like me took it in his head to go to school, instead of continuing my life out there." Gesturing a hand aside to indicate the world outside of the cafeteria, and the world of fame in general. "I wouldn't mind it if I could, but I doubt I'll actually be able to get along with everybody here. So it's -- reassuring, that along with Minako I'll know at least one friendly face."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Red eyes widen with understanding when he says people think of what they see and that not being the real Ace. Amy nods.
He says some people might take his decision as some kind of affront. And she knows, somewhere, there are people who would say she should be using her magic-given looks to win popularity and get other people to do everything for her. She rolls her eyes. "Those people are chuds. Err... they're stupid. What business is it of theirs how you choose to live your life?"
"I think you'll have a better time of it here than anywhere else, certainly, and there are a number of great people here. You should meet Usagi-- ah, Tsukino-chan," Amy supposes a full name is more useful for finding someone, "she's friends with everybody."
Then she realizes she was called a friendly face, and smiles, "Oh, um, thanks!"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
"You're quite welcome! And sorry -- I think I'm taking up your lunch, aren't I?" She did come to eat, after all, and Ace offers her an apologetic smile as he comes up to his feet. "And I still need to take a look at the rest of the campus. But thank you for talking with me -- if I *do* decide to enroll here, perhaps we'll talk again? At the least I *would* like to stop by your club and have a look at those games sometime."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy blinks as she's reminded of her cooling bowl of spaghetti, of which she's had one bite. "Oh, uh... It's fine, it was worth it to meet a new friend!" She pushes the tray aside and leans over to extend a hand to shake, smiling. "It was nice meeting you. We can trade phone numbers and datcord IDs, if you like! And I'll look forward to introducing you to RPGs more!"
- Ace Saijou (222) has posed:
Ace seems surprised by the offer to exchange numbers, but reaches to willingly shake her hand. "Sure, I'd like that!" This too, will be a new experience -- that device had always been about work as well. He had been tempted to just leave it behind when he came to Japan, but figured if nothing else he should have kept *some* connections from back home, just in case he was called for something or other related to his profession.
Not even his first proper day at school yet, and it's already proven to be rewarding in unexpected ways. He can't help but look forwarding to seeing what else may come.
