Sayaka had just returned to her dorm room from her wonderful date with Bow. It had been a very pleasant surprise for her too. There were very clear terms between the two of them, he was not ready just yet, but needed to deal with important things in his life first.
And yet, here they are with the three confessions that she had told him now turned on her, that sweet kiss that came out of nowhere still in her memory, the sensation of it very much clear in her mind. That is why the walk back is so joyous, with the unexpected recognition the he is now her boyfriend.
What is going to await them on their next date now that their are officially together? This is both the same and different from what she experienced with Hinoiri. She knows what to expect from dates, but this is bound to be quite different from her time with Hinoiri, since she will not be trying to get someone else to see her the same way, but rather starting this out with someone who feels the same as her.
"I am glad you are so happy, Sayaka. I think this boyfriend is a step in the right direction for you", Ula breaks the flow of her thoughts. She is certainly approving of Bow from what she has seen of the boy.
"Thanks, Ula", Sayaka replies back, smiling as she gives a soft caress to the koi mermaid. She is pretty excited for what awaits her, and that starts with something Hinoiri had given her a while back.
She had kept the letter carefully in one of her drawers. There were a few times when her thoughts went back to the letter and its contents, but still she had followed the writing on it, even as she felt Hinoiri had done something way beyond what she needed.
Reaching for the carefully kept letter, she closes the drawer behind herself as she heads towards the table with it in her hands. Sitting down at the table, she opens the envelope, making the objects slide onto the table.
Her eyebrows raise as she notices the things that stands out the most, the prepaid card. There really isn't much doubt as to what Hinoiri has just given her with that, compared to the message next to it.
"That's quite generous", Ula comments, expressing out loud Sayaka's own thoughts. "What does the message say?"
"That Hinoiri wants me to buy a nice outfit for a date with Bow, and use the rest to take him out", she replies, incredulous that she would go this far.
Buying a nice outfit? How can she even do that? "Alright, I know what you are thinking", Ula says, patting her shoulder. "Leave it to me, Sayaka." For all the confidence she gained, being aware of actually looking good in cute outfits was not parts of the package, Ula mentally sighs.
