Cast of Characters: | Zoisite |
Zoisite is in somebody's house. He wasn't sure whose, there's a bunch of them on his list. He just broke in, tied the owner to a chair, and started using the man's dart board.
"You should feel honored really," Zoisite confides. "It isn't every day you get to host such a superior being."
The man tied to the chair in his underwear tries to say something through the cloth gag tied across his mouth.
Zoisite, who was aiming a dart, pauses, lowers his hand, and turns to the man, annoyed. "Hey, hey, hey. Shhh, shh, shhh. Do you have no fucking manners? I'm trying to play here, and you're making a bunch of noise." Tsking and shaking his head in disapproval he turns away and raises his hand again, muttering, "Some people, honestly."
The blonde young man's frown becomes a smile again as his mood suddenly lifts. "Now where was I? Oh, right, I was explaining all the ways you're inferior. Firstly, you have no magic. You won't even remember this in the morning, assuming you even live that long. Second, I am clearly--" He turns and looks the middle-aged salaryman up and down. "--much, MUCH better looking than you. Third, you're tied to a chair while I'm playing darts. It couldn't be simpler, really."
He throws the dart, and it lands just sliiightly outside the bull's eye. Zoisite looks impassively at it. Then he turns to look at the sweating, wide-eyed prisoner. "You are definitely not going to live until morning."
Accompanied by the the sound of the human's muffled cries and struggles to get free that have his wooden chair rocking back and forth until it falls over, Zoisite walks up to the dart board, removes the pointy little toy, and sticks it where it obvious was supposed to have landed before the meat sack breathed wrongly and disrupted its flight. Clearly.
Turning back around, Zoisite returns to his original starting point, and starts to raise the next dart. Then he reconsiders. Sort of ballerina-stepping in place, the Third of the Four, Dark General Zoisite, rotates until he is facing the man who is now lying on his side, still tied to a chair, and now with what will likely be a nasty bruise on the side of his balding head.
"It has just occurred to me, that perhaps I would enjoy this more if I was using a live target." he says sweetly, with an innocent smile and everything.
The salaryman's eyes widen once he realizes what's being implied and starts thrashing even harder, as fruitless as the efforts are.
"Hey. Hey. Shhhh. You don't want to wake up your lovely wife do you?" Zoisite says calmingly as he moves to kneel down next to Takanaka. The prisoner has already gone still at the implied threat. "Now, there's a way to end all this and get back to your normal life." Zoisite helps the middle-aged man back up, and strokes the side of the human's head, applying some magic to ease the pain. "You see, I didn't pick this household randomly. As it so happens, I have a list." Tucking his darts into one hand while he retrieves the list from inside his uniform, Zoisite shows it to the man in front of him. Dozens of names, with several of them crossed out with... Red lipstick.
"Tell me, Takanaka-san, when is the last time you saw your daughter? And do you know when she'll next be coming home from the academy to visit?" Zoisite pulls the gag out of the man's mouth. The husband and father is now ghostly pale.
Before he can answer, and before Zoisite can encourage the poor man any further, his vision blanks out as sparks fly and he finds himself standing up quickly. His self control keeps him from falling down or making any unseemly display. His image is all-important, and even before this filth, he isn't going to appear weak. So as a firestorm rages in his brain, he makes it appear he is just standing back and listening to whatever the man is going to say. With his eyes closed, and a content smile on his face.
But behind that mask, there are mirrors smashing, and gemstones scattering from jewelry boxes, and a sword flashing in the dark, cutting moonlight itself or perhaps made of it. It's a vision he has seen before, of an era called Silver Millennium, but this time he is getting more of it, without the filter of Metallia's darkness. Not until--
KILL THEM. KILL THEM. KILL THEM.
Teleporting around the battlefield, Zoisite eliminates commanders and any other form of leadership he can find. The terror that keeps appearing and disappearing is throwing the ranks of the soldiers into absolute chaos, and Zoisite is giddy with the rivers of blood he is spilling. One man even gets close enough to take a swing at him, but Zoisite just grabs the blade bare-handed to stop it. The stunned look of a man who doesn't know what a forceshield is is soon flying away upon the head that bears it, and Zoisite giggles, high-pitched, manic, as he revels in the madness of the battlefield.
Then pain and numbness hit him in a single stroke. He can't breathe anymore. His insides are ice, and so is his back and right arm. He turns, choking on his own frozen blood, to find the Senshi of Mercury standing in an attack position, having just blasted him with her own power.
Zoisite's eyes are glowing red as he grabs his frozen right arm, breaks it off, and hurls it at Mercury with the strength bestowed upon him by his true master. He doesn't see if it hits her or not, but the stunned expression, just like that of the man he decapitated a moment earlier, says that she likely didn't react in time to avoid a solid chunk of ice, holding a sword, from hitting her directly.
LIGHT. BURNING LIGHT. NO. I WILL NOT BE CONSTRAINED. I WILL NOT BE SEALED AWAY AGAIN. CURSE YOU, QUEEN SERENITY. I CURSE YOU TO LOSE EVERYTHING YOU LOVE, TO NEVER FIND PEACE, TO ALWAYS FIND A NEW ENEMY TO RISE AGAINST YOU, FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER, UNTIL THE DAY I COME FOR YOU AGAIN, AND--
He can't do anything else before the darkness swallows him. And then it's just like that, for an interminable amount of time, until he is reborn into the current era. He lives as Yoshimitsu Zaibatsu, with an abusive, homophobic father, who can't stand to have such a girly-looking son.
Then Hematite found him, and restored his memories, and he was Zoisite again, and Beryl did something after that. He can't recall what, but he remembers the sudden loss of all emotions towards his human family. Not the desire to be loved, not resentment, nothing at all. He used his powers to make their relationship match those emotions.
They were family no more.
He was going to follow a new leader.
The Prince of Lost & Found.
Opening his eyes when his senses returned to him, the man was babbling something, begging Zoisite to leave his family alone. The blonde Shitennou crouched down, and interrupted the man with a hand over Takanaka's mouth. "You're in luck! I've just realized there's a schedule conflict with our little date here. So, your family is off the hook!" Then Zoisite stood up, threw all the darts in his right hand without looking, hitting the center of the board easily, and then giving a little finger-wave as he says, "I'll leave you to it then!"
He teleports away, leaving the man without memory of how he got into this situation, and without any assistance in getting free. Someone will find him eventually.
Probably.
