It wasn’t often that her daddy had enough time to actually spend a night with her, but the success with the creation of the weird guns Takashi helped with had bought him one evening. There was one thing that the two always did when they had the chance. A delicious dinner, likely called in from some restaurant. Maybe a movie. But the best, funnest part?
World domination.
In this case, Risk.
Dr. Tomoe rolled the dice and let out a malevolent, merciless chortle, his face concealed in the shadows so only his smile and glasses showed. “Ah ha ha ha ha ha. And so, with the capture of Northern Europe, my control over Europe is cemented. As per our house rules, I now get the monopoly cannon. Your defense was admirable, daughter. But even it must yield to… why are you smiling?”
“Because, father,” Hotaru said before holding up the small monopoly dog. “Did you forget? I still hold the monopoly dog from my conquests Australia. Which I now use, to take the cannon… for myself! Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho!”
“Ah ha ha ha ha! That truly was a wicked, well orchestrated tactic, daughter of mine! A worthy rival in my quest for global conquest! But your empire shall still be crushed, there is yet many moves to be had in this game! Ah ha ha ha ha ha!”
“Oh ho ho ho ho ho ho!” Hotaru laughed, a hand out to the side.
Kaolinite just watched, a sweatdrop on her head. Dr. Tomoe truly was a brilliant, wise, incredible man. But… sometimes… sometimes even she wondered.
