There’s a new post on Bass-chan’s ViewTube page!
The video starts with Mizudori sitting in front of the camera, clearly at her desk. She’s a bit done up, with dark eye makeup and her black-and-green hair pulled back to show off the numerous piercings in one of her ears.
“So hey guys,” She starts, speaking over a music track (one of her own) playing in the background. “Like most of you probably I’ve seen this Clock App vid, y’know the one, about the Phantom Silver Crystal? So like, it turns out, I’ve already got that thing. Yeah like, you know the dude said he needed a miracle right?”
She grins big at the camera, unfairly pretty but with that quality that says she’s far too aware of it and far too pleased by it. “What miracle is bigger than Bass-chan?”
There’s a sudden flicker of blackness across the screen, then it returns to her face. Then more flickering blackness, as if the feed is cutting out. Suddenly it goes all black, hiding her face, and then a pair of slanted bright green eyes open up, glowing neon. A moment later a jagged jack-o-lantern mouth, glowing the same green joins them. The voice that speaks is modulated, every word a pitch-perfect musical note as if speaking through an auto-tuner.
“Here’s the thing. I don’t need any more miracles, so I’m gonna offer this Phantom Silver Crystal up to someone who needs it more than me.”
The glowing green features twitch, laughing. “But let’s make it interesting. If you want the crystal, you’re gonna have to ‘’win’’ it. In a race. A deadly death-defying super-cool rollerblade doom race!”
A shrill laugh which travels up a chromatic scale, then back down. “This contest is open to all! So come on, freaks and geeks, heroes and villains, the greedy and the selfless! Let’s have some fun! But you better bring your A-Game…”
The glowing green eyes close to slits, the jack-o-lantern mouth grinning. “Because Bass-chan drops the competition.”
That laugh again, rising in pitch this time, until the video suddenly cuts off.
The comments are filled with questions about why the video suddenly cut to black and then just ran in silence right after Bass-chan said she had the Phantom Silver Crystal. It seems the latter half, about the race, was only visible to those beyond the Veil.
