Background

Adrian has always lived a lavish, spoiled life, yet one that was sadly lonely for him growing up. After the death of his mother, his father closed himself off more than he already was and left Adrian mostly in the care of his assistant and bodyguard, refusing to let him out without one or the other. He never had much opportunity to interact with others his age.

His father used him as a model for his clothing line, Gabriel, and so his schedule was often busy going from one shoot to another between going to private lessons and various classes.

At age 14, Adrian had managed to convince his father (with the assistants' help) to allow him to enroll in a regular school to help his socialization among his peers. While he was still kept on a tight leash this led him to making friends among those in his class.

As luck would have it, he would also help an old Asian man out on his first day of school, only to find himself given posession of the Cat Miraculous, the Miraculous of Destruction.

This not only led Adrian to having a double life as Cat Noir, but gave him a friend in Plagg, the Kwami (spirit guardian) of the Miraculous in his posession. He used the power of the Miraculous not only to help fight against the evils that began appearing in the city, but to sneak out so that he could have more of a social life as well.

After many adventures with his fellow Miraculous user (and most beloved) Ladybug, Adrian found himself at another impasse with his father who sought to expand his control of different markets in the world, and sought to use that excuse to remove Adrian from the 'bad influence' of his newfound friends.

With the aid of his friends, and some quick research, Adrian found out that Radiant Heart Academy was considered an international 'sister school' with their school in France. It was easy to request a student exchange to Radiant Heart. Thanks to it's prestige in the area his father found it acceptable, unaware that Adrian and his friends may have worked to set it up so that they could also potentially attend.

Now Adrian is starting out his 15th year in Japan at Radiant Heart, still doubling as Cat Noir when needed.

Personality

Adrian is a kind, caring individual who tries his best to make everyone feel welcome and valid. This is in part because he's felt alone for years since the passing of his mother. His father closed himself off and has become super protective of Adrian to the point of barely allowing him out, unless supervised by his bodyguard. This hasn't allowed him to make many friends which is what Adrian desperately wants.

Being pushed to be the pinacale of perfection by his father's demands, he also is a bit of an over-acheiver. Even so he doesn't brag about what skills he has -- He's quietly confident in what he can do. He's far more interested in helping to cheer others on but does appreciate it when he gets praised, too.

While transformed into Cat Noir it gives him the chance to let the more unexplored parts of his personality out. He can be a bit on the dangerous side with how eagerly he jumps into action, not always thinking first, but he has enough skills to back up his fool hardiness. While flirtatious toward many, he has found himself in love with Ladybug because, to him, she represents all the things he can't allow himself to be while just 'Adrian.'

Focus

The focus of a Miraculous user is a piece of jewelry which houses the Kwami spirit it embodies, and their associated power. When invoking their focus they call out the name of their associated Kwami along with the command phrase to activate their transformation.

Style

Miraculous users tend to have a similar bodysuit-style garment, though each is tailored to the individual. This suit, along with a domino mask, helps to protect their identity. It can also help to identify when a miraculous is being used by a different bearer because of variations to the garment. They all tend to still stay within theme of their miraculous (Cat Miraculous = cat, Ladybug Miraculous = Bug, Rabbit Miraculous = Rabbit, etc.)

Powers

Adrian Agreste himself has a very diverse skillset and abilities. He's very athletic and driven to perfection partially by the demands of his father, and partially due to having teachers that inspire him to be his best as well. He's skilled in Karate, Kung Fu, and Fencing. He's also athletically inclined toward games such as basketball.

As Cat Noir/Chat Noir he gains superior speed, heightened agility, stamina, strength and toughness. Leaping from rooftops, balancing on lamp posts, etc. He has an extendable pole which he uses to fight and travel with. With it he can leap further distances as necessary by pole-vaulting.

In addition to his physical abilities, he has the powers of the Miraculous of Destruction, Cataclysm. When charged up he can use his claws to destroy objects in one swipe in a manner that 'erodes' the object quickly. This is a highly destructive, very powerful ability, that is typically used as a finisher move or a means to clear away an obstacle if there's no other option.

Once Cataclysm has been used he has a time limit before his disguise reverts him back to his civilian self. The powers can be recharged by feeding Plagg, his Kwami, and then transforming into Cat Noir again but there will always be a bit of downtime between transformations.
