Riventon waved his gauntleted right hand as he used Dark Energy to sort heavy machinery in a large room. Hooking up crystals and strange technomagical machines to much more modern looking wires, leaving the walls a hodgepodge of tech from multiple places. His new boss didn't really seem to care how much space Takashi took up, as long as he kept a clear path from the entrance to their private part of the divison. The pink-pearlish crystal was there, visible through an open door that looked like it still lead into his old office with Beryl. Because it did. He couldn't move the crystal itself, but he *could* switch the connections within the space so that the only entrance connected to his new Divison. It just required some permits and some bribes. Standard Obsidian Procedure.

"Alright, let's put it through its paces. Let's see if we can find Catra or Glimmer's signatures." he says, mostly to himself as fingers rapidly hit keys. "Probably can't find them unless they're using magic, but Glimmer's probably teleported somewhere recently..." And then he seees a new signal, a strange one, some sort of massive chaotic energy, strange and dissonant but absolutely worth recording and disassembling and understanding later with this new capability. And mixed in with it - other signatures, strange and powerful. "What the hell is going on over there." Of course something like that would happen while he's moving all of his stuff so he couldn't respond. Of *course*!

Renovations and Reflections (Takashi Agera)
Date of Cutscene: 31 July 2024
Location: Dark Laboratory
Synopsis: Takashi has new digs to move into, and subordinates to locate.
Cast of Characters: Takashi Agera

Riventon waved his gauntleted right hand as he used Dark Energy to sort heavy machinery in a large room. Hooking up crystals and strange technomagical machines to much more modern looking wires, leaving the walls a hodgepodge of tech from multiple places. His new boss didn't really seem to care how much space Takashi took up, as long as he kept a clear path from the entrance to their private part of the division. The pink-pearlish crystal was there, visible through an open door that looked like it still lead into his old office with Beryl. Because it did. He couldn't move the crystal itself, but he *could* switch the connections within the space so that the only entrance connected to his new Division. It just required some permits and some bribes. Standard Obsidian Procedure.

Computer screens began to turn on as strange machines whirred to life, Riventon continuing to assemble the open space into a lab by moving tables, equipment, machines, and electronics via Dark Energy, like a conductor making an orchestra play to his tune. Finally, he had a proper lab again, and not one he had to share with the Witches 54. Glimmer would have her crystal in her own little room, good for his sanity. He was going to build in some lab-and-kennel space specifically for Norie's research. For Mami, he figured she didn't need much but he was setting some room aside for her anyways. Same for Catra. Maybe the two of them would like some sort of a training or practice room? Maybe Catra'd like to move her quarters up here? He wasn't sure. But the vast technomagic lab would occupy most of the space.

The only downside was that while he was moving all of this, setting all of it up, building his gear anew to take advantage of the space and the enhancements, he was blind to what was going on in Tokyo. He knew where Mami and Norie were, but Catra and Glimmer? He was currently unsure, and had expected them to both make it back to the Tower by now. But as his the screens continued to turn on and computers continued to boot up, soon he'd have all of the information he was used to and more, with added ability to compute mathemagic information and locate things.

His last act is to bring up a chair before his henshin pops and Takashi Agera sits down in the chair in front of his brand new supercomputer cluster, built with the best of Earth's technology plus a little extra from other worlds.

"What in the actual heck is going on over there." Of course something like that would happen while he's moving all of his stuff so he couldn't respond. Of course!

Should he send a drone, or a youma, or just go himself - that was the question.

Eventually his system beeps and isolates some of the energy signals to ones he knows very well, and that determines the answer to his question, as the energy signals are matched - to Glimmer and Catra.

"Ah.... little gremlins... so that's where you were."
