Synopsis: Michiru was just practicing her violin when a certain catboy came creeping at the window. It's a reunion of long lost childhood acquaintances and a discovery that they have even more things in common than they knew.
Cast of Characters: Michiru Kaiou, Ikuto Tsukiyomi

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru Kaiou usually practiced her violin at home. She had an entire room dedicated to it in the mansion she shared with the other Outers. But she had an upcoming performance, and there was a piece she was still just a little patchy on. It was not up to her perfect standard. She needed more time to practice, and that meant doing it at school.
Which is why this afternoon, she's in the Music Club room in the Club Building. It's not a day the club meets, and so she's hoping not to see too many people. She just wants to focus on her practice, and not fawning fans. With her sheet music spread out on the stand in front of her, she has Marine Cathedrale up to her chin and is playing. Nobody would think it anything less than perfect the way she's playing. Nobody except Michiru Kaiou.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto had found himself passing by the music club room more often. He was aching to play again, and enjoyed the sound of others playing their instruments. He could imagine himself playing alongside them, and perhaps once he got his father's violin back from Easter, he would.

He hadn't often heard a violin among the instruments played, and his ears perked up a bit at the familiar sound. This time was a bit more familiar than usual though. Yoru watched the boy's face as he concentrated on the sound. "That sounds really nice..." the Chara says. Ikuto nods. "I recognize her style. Michi...no, er. Michiru. I met her back when my father was still around. She's one of the only people I've met who can outplay me."

The catboy carefully approached a window of the club room, peeking in. For a time he just sat there watching Michiru Kaiou playing, with Yoru perched on his shoulder watching as well.

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru was facing away from the window as she played. It was really the perfect vantage point for him to watch and listen as the aquanette practiced her piece. She repeated several small phrases over and over until they were perfected to her satisfaction. They all likely sounded the same to the Chara, but possibly not to Ikuto. A note just a millisecond off tempo, or just the tiniest bit flat, it was very minor adjustments every time.
Eventually she played the piece all the way thru to her satisfaction. And then started to pack up her things. The violin and bow back in their case first, then her sheet music into her backpack. Then she stood up and turned around and walked directly to the window, throwing it open and leaning out to scold whomever it was she'd sensed watching her while she was practicing. She doesn't have eyes in the back of her head, but she can still feel you coming.
"You had better have a good rea--" She starts, with her best stern voice on. It's very good. She's the head of a multi-national shipping conglomerate. Technically speaking. But she stops just as soon as she gets a good eyeful of the young man in front of her. She blinks a couple of times, and then says, "Ikuto-kun?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto raises a hand, waving. "Hi, Michiru-chan. Not every day I hear someone playing a violin that well. You've gotten even better over the years, though I can see you're still a perfectionist. Sorry for sneaking about like that; bit of a bad habit I haven't been able to drop yet."

Yoru remarks, "You're really good!" Ikuto glances at him for a brief moment. "I don't think-" and catches himself, clearing his throat. "Sorry Michiru-chan. Talking to myself is also a bad habit I haven't been able to drop." Yoru smirks.

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru just stood there and stared at Ikuto while he spoke. She remembered when his father disappeared. She had been so sad because she enjoyed all of the times they had performed together. She had enjoyed spending time with Ikuto as well. She'd been able to be a kid with him. But that had been that. So to see him again now was a little surreal. He had grown into quite the handsome young man.
The little mascot--the little mascot?!--speaks and Michiru snaps out of her silence. Her mask goes on and she smiles, her eyes lighting up just the right amount. "Thank you, Ikuto-kun. I do always strive for perfection, even if I cannot always achieve it," she says. Then she bends down a little more to look directly at the Chara. "And who might you be, aside from possibly my littlest fan?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru stands up proudly, sticking his tongue out at Ikuto before speaking. "I'm Yoru, a Guardian Character representing Ikuto's heart's desire, nya!" Ikuto tilts his head slightly. "You can see and hear him. You must be part of this...life, then. I uh, probably shouldn't be seen standing outside another window. Not after last time. Excuse me, Michiru-chan." The young man's cat ears and tail manifest and he quickly hops up and climbs into the window, slipping past Michiru in a very catlike manner before standing up.

"After my father disappeared, things got a bit worse. To make a long, depressing story short, I have an evil step-father now and I'm on the run from my old employer, Easter Company. I did some things I'm not proud of while being forced to work for them, and decided to take things into my own hands this past year."

Yoru nods, "Ikuto's still stupid sometimes, but he's trying his best nya." Then the Chara grumbles, "He just needs to quit being quite so dumb when it comes to girls..."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru smiled brightly a the little Chara and lifted up her hand to give a little finger wave. "It's nice to meet you, Yoru," she says. But then she makes it easy to scramble past her, as she practically leaps out of Ikuto's way when he comes in thru the window.
"Oh I see," she says, after he explains. She seems to think it over for a moment, and then she says something very obvious. "We've led very different lives since we last saw one another."
She turns and walks back over to where her bag and violin are and looks down at them for a moment, before looking back up toward Ikuto with a smirk. "And Yoru is right. Seriously, just standing there as long as you did? I get it, but you don't want that kind of reputation, do you?" She has no idea about the gossip around the school. None whatsoever.

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Yoru waves back with a grin, and Ikuto turns a shade more pale at the mention of his reputation. "I'm not even sure if it can get worse..." Yoru decides to speak up. "Ikuto got himself thrown out a window by a girl he was really dumb about trying to protect even though she's way stronger! And that was after he got caught stalking her, and then gave her a manga about boys dating, and then told her he loved her, nya! And -that- was after Usagi-san kicked him in the shins so hard he almost cried, because he messed up and was a bad date for her cousin at prom!"

Ikuto has seemingly become used to Yoru giving everyone who will listen the details of his recent trials, as he just stands there waiting for Yoru to finish before speaking again. "...He's right. I messed up quite a few times. More than just with Chiyo-chan, but I'm going to do better. I have to. For Utau, and for Yuki-chan too." There's a hint of a smile when he says Yuki's name. Someone special, perhaps. Someone important to him. The black cat is easy to read when his guard is down, and there's a confidence usually kept tucked away that's on display when he speaks of doing better.

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
Michiru just stands there for a moment, her hand sat her side and stares as she listens. She takes in all the information, but at the same time she's thinking about how disconnected she is from the goings-on at the school. Surely something as dramatic as this was being gossiped about all over, and this was the first she'd heard about it.
Maybe she should get out of the house more. Spend more time on campus.
"Well, if Usagi-chan kicked you in the shins, you certainly messed up, Ikuto-kun," she says chidingly. "But we all make mistakes. It's good you're going to do better moving forward." She smiles a little at that hint of affection when he says Yuki's name. She knows that look. She makes that look all to often.
"Just be honest to the feelings in your heart, Ikuto-kun, and things will all work out," she assures. Then she remembers something. "So, do you still play?"

Ikuto Tsukiyomi has posed:
Ikuto grins. "I played at prom, actually. Though...that may have also been a mistake considering who I had dedicated the song to, and how that turned out." Yoru nods thoughtfully as Ikuto continues. "I'd be playing a bit more often, but right now Easter Company has my father's violin. I think the idea was to use it to make me compliant, though they seem to have figured out at some point that damaging it would only make them an enemy for life. One of my friends has been doing some very deep investigative work to figure out where they're keeping it. Once I find that out, I'm taking it back and, well...I don't know what, after that."

The catboy shakes his head. "Utau is still working for them at the moment. I'm not sure what's going on there. We've become distant ever since I broke away from Easter. I wanted to try and get her away from them but a good friend, Tadase-san, convinced me that trying to save someone by force won't end well."

Michiru Kaiou has posed:
"Oh did you?" Some color rose up into Michiru's cheeks. She'd been at prom, not that she'd paid attention to anyone but Haruka. Still. It was embarrassing to be caught out like that. She laughed awkwardly. "Of course you did."
She listened to the rest, nodding to show that she understood what he said. "It does not. Even when you know the path someone is on, and the destination it leads to, only they can move one foot after the other along it."
She crouches down to pick up her bag and violin and then straightens her knees out and walks toward Ikuto, and also the exit. She stops right in front of him and looks him right in the eye seriously. "Your father was always kind to me, Ikuto-kun, and I remember his instrument. When you find it, please don't hesitate to call me for help."
