Like a Duck in Water

Synopsis:	Hinote finds Miho practicing with her naginata. The two talk about Walpy, and Miho admits to Hinote about how scared and overwhelmed she feels with everything. Especially after Walpy. After the long talk, the pair spend some time star gazing.

Miho Inada has posed:
    Well, its been some time since Walpy had attacked. Miho has been very skittish about things for a minute. Enough that she's kinda been hiding form the the magicals a bit. There were stories about her burning though her magic enough that she had to be placed in the infirmry, but when she was released, she kinda just went into hiding. The other night, she fought the Hot Dog Youma by the beach, finally using the naginata that Yukihime carries.

    Well, tonight, Miho is out at the Sports Pavilion, carrying her naginata. She's sure everyone has left, and nobody will see her. The woman bites her lip a bit nerviously as she takes a few deep breaths. She goes through a few basic movements, before starting to go through the same movements as Yukihime. She tries to spin the naginata in her grip at the same speed before she misjudges, and catches the back of her leg. This sends her crashing into the ground pretty hard.

    Miho growls a little bit before hitting the ground in frustration. She looks at the weapon, before shaking her head. Its not the weapon. Its her. She has to be composed, and show nothing when she's Yukihime. But as Miho...things are...overwhelming. The mahou side is just...so much. She looks up at the sky a little bit, letting out a sigh.

Hinote Kagari is at the school at night.

Usually, he's home by now. But he was looking for someone. OKAY he was looking specifically for Miho. He was able to ask around and found Miho at the Sports Pavilion. Practicing. He taps his chin. Tracy isn't with him right now. He's solving the Mystery of the Missing Cake Slice. (It's in Tracy's tummy...!).

Hinote Kagari watches as Miho hits the ground and winces as he approaches, and offers a hand up. "Hey you." he says cooly.

"Need a hand?"

Miho Inada has posed:
    Miho blushes a bit, before she takes his hand. "Hey. Thanks.", she says. The woman stands up, holding onto the naginata. Miho takes a long moment to breathe out as she puts the naginata down on the side. The woman settles her breathing a bit as she watches Hinote. She knows she should explain herself, but instead, she can barely lift her head.

    The woman just kinda flops on the bench, still kinda looking at the ground a bit. "Y-yeah...I should...probably, you know, explain why I kinda disappeared a bit...", she says. "Halloween...", the woman starts. There's a shiver there. Is Miho showing...fear? The woman takes a deep breath, but she still can't look up.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari shakes his head. "You don't need to explain anything. That was a lot." he says as he frowns. "That was... a Witch. A big one. A major one. I need to ask Kaname-san about it." he says. "She'd know about it. It seemed to come out of nowhere though." he says.

"Sorry I didn't seek you out harder. But. We all need time to process these things. I figured you we're doing just that." he says. "That thing was no joke." he says with a tense breath as he looks down at the ground himself.

"I was gonna be Darkwing Duck for a Halloween Party..." he says cooly.

Miho Inada has posed:
    Miho shakes her head a little bit as she breathes out. "I was having...one of my headaches all day. I havn't had one since I awakened.", she admits. The woman blinks a few times. "...A witch? Isn't that...what Amy has to fight to stay alive?", she asks. Miho shakes her head a bit more. "She...fights...that to live?", the woman asks. She just stares at the ground. "Was...it something like that that was in Paris?", she asks.

    The young woman takes a long moment to try to process things. "H-how can we be expected...to fight that? Something like that on a regular basis?", she asks. Miho takes a long breath before she settles down. "S-sorry. Just, I never seen anything like that. You're probably used to fighting stuff like that.", she tells. The woman takse a long moment to breath.

    Miho focuses her mind a little bit. "I was...trying to practice what I do as Yukihime. She can use the naginata without any issues. Move with grace, composure, elegance...", she tells.

    The woman takes a moment. "Until I got the headaches, I was thinking of just getting some fox ears, and a fox tail. Go out as a Foxy girl.", she says with a light smile. "But a duck?"

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari frowns. "That wasn't an ordinary Witch. It was breaking rules. It shouldn't had been even able to manifest based on what I know." he says with a hint of frustration. "Yeah. Yeah that was. Like Paris." he says. "Just as dangerous. I'm glad we defeated it though." he says.

He hehs. "I'm not used to it. You'll never get used to THAT, mind you. The smaller stuff I'm used to. Just. Not. That." he says as he brushes a hand through his face, before he looks to his side at Miho. "The magic stuff...well it works because your magic. My best detective work happens when I'm chara changed." he says. Then he gives a cheesy grin.

"You mean. You're not always a foxy girl?" he asks in a cool, flirtation tone.

Miho Inada has posed:
    Miho blushes a little bit, and giggles a little bit. She leans against Hinote. "Tease.", she gives a small teasing push. She smiles a little bit. "Sorry if I worried you. Just if something like that happend...don't go running after it without me.", she says, hugging his arm. "I know I can't stop you from going, but at least...I...I don't know.", Miho says. The woman hugs his arm tight a bit.

    "Its funny you were talking about a duck. Thats...how I feel when around other magicals. that I'm just the duck in the water.", she tells. The woman breathes out. "What you see on the surface, versus whats going on beneath it.", she explains.

    Miho rests her head on Hinote's shoulder. "Its a nice night, isn't it?", she asks. Miho looks up at the sky. "Its moments like this that I wish would last.", she admits.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari frowns. "I'll keep that in mind. You're just a text away, right?" he asks. Communication is easy for him. He isn't a shy type. He gives Miho's hair a brush because he's a little worried about her, and he listens when she talks.

"You'll get used to it. I can promise that much. Dealing with... things. These things. It's rough but you can do it. I believe in you. But sometimes, you got to believe in yourself, too." he says.

"Yeah it is." he says as he looks upwards too. "Tracy would probably narrate something silly here. But he's off getting cake in the cafeteria."

Miho Inada has posed:
    Miho laughs a bit. "I bet he would. That or complain that there's a slice of cake that suddenly went missing while he was looking away.", she says. "And I know. Just...when I think about Kureha, and some of the others...Some of them are young. And if they see the older ones getting nervious...", she tells. "I'll try. Just that, when I look around, and see everyone doing these amazing things. I guess, one day I'll be doing stuff like that, but right now, I'm just...floored to what they do.", she tells.

    "And I know you're a text away, but like you said, I have to learn to believe myself. Its just...hard when you stop being competitive. When you were too good to compete with others, and then when you find yourself suddenly looking at others at are worlds away from where you're at.", she admits.

    Miho lets out a sigh. "Sorry sorry. My mind just...like I said, its racing, and I'm still processing.", she tells. The woman takes a deep breath a moment. The woman looks up Hinote a moment, with the night sky behind him.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari looks at Miho, and he leans over and gives her a kiss on the cheek. He draws back, and says. "Miho-chan." he says. "Take all the time you need to process. Talking will help. So will properly eating and resting." he says. "Just. Don't rush it. Either." he says. "I spent..."

"I spent a lot of time processing my first encounter too. Having to deal with the fact that ladies with umbrellas summon monsters to attack magical princesses." he says with a deep breath through his teeth. "And that Witches lure people into Labyrinths and eat them." he says.

"These things...take. Time and. You have it. No one is rushing you and anyone that does is *wrong*." he offers.

Miho Inada has posed:
    Miho blushes a bit. She wraps her arm around Hinote, and moves close to him. "I'm a little cold.", she tells. Yeah...right. Miho...cold. Nah. She's just using it as an excuse to snuggle into him. "Thanks.", she says simply before resting there. Her body starts to relax a bit, letting the tension out. She breathes deeply before just closing her eyes a bit. The woman smiles a bit as she watches the sky. Miho finally seems to just relax, as the tension and stress melts out. Until that pop quiz in english happens in the morning. But she doesn't know about that just yet, so yeah! Relaxed Miho.
