- Bow has posed:
Last night, a chunk of the Aratha came crashing to Earth, along the discovery of Chrono's mother, it was a busy night. Who took the engine is still unknown to him, but Bow was up early this morning with a metal detector to scour the beach for pieces that may have been missed by the others.
In that search, he has currently found four chunks of the ship, each about the size of his fist. And several coins, and someone's engagement ring. It's that last item he's studying at the moment, before he sets it to the side.
He's currently looking over said items at the coffee shop, sitting on the outdoor patio as he sorts things out to figure out what to do with what, taking pictures with his phone to catalogue what he's found.
His dads would be so proud.
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk was getting a smoothie, holding it in one hand. In the other, she held an envelope with a big E on it and a circling star. Easter, huh. She wasn't quite sure what they wanted with her, but well... they worked for Obsidian. Apparently they did... stuff. How much of that stuff was anyone's guess. But stuff!
She was looking through the thing they wanted her to read and, frankly, it was sooooo muuuuuuuch leeeeeeegggggggaaaaaaaaallllll jargon. She'd make Takashi read it later. Meh. She slid it into her leather jacket before... her eyes fell on Bow and she smiled. Taking another drink of her smoothie, she walked up behind him quiet as could be, leaned forward and whispered into his ear. "Hey, what you got there?"
- Bow has posed:
So csaught up in his work, Bow totally missed Gloria sneaking up on him. Indeed, a freight train may have been almost as stealthy. A visible shiver that Glimmer can feel as he's surprised by the whisper in his ear, and he manages, "G-Glim..." a closer look. "Gloria! I was just... I don't know if I should tell you!" he finally huffs with a grump. "Considering that Riventon was after it as well and you work for Obsidian." Not that he'll hide whatever it is for long.
But he does take a sip of his coffee -- now cold -- to recover his bearins an draws in a breath.
"Part of some spaceship fell to Earth last night and I was looking for pieces of it." he gestures his hands over to the piles of items he's found so far. "I was taking a break before I went pack out. How are you?"
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk slid into the seat next to him and took another sip of her smoothie. "Mmmmm. Apparently you had an arrow that just yelled at people? I guess to make them feel bad or something? Riventon was complaining about it. I wasn't around at the time, so he didn't bring me. he was pretty annoyed by all of it."
"And don't worry, I didn't see anything. Gathering random stuff, doing that smart guy thing where you examine it, like your dads? I've been pretty good. Keeping an eye on things, working on a few projects here and there. Apparently there's some more infighting back at Obsidian. Turns out the Horde wasn't the only big bad guy organization filled with internal strife, it's a wonder they get anything done." She took another big sip of her smoothie.
- Bow has posed:
"Not my finest hour." Bow groans. "Apparently the engine was messing with magic, and it was pulling up some old arrows from when I first got my henshin device and I made a Whoosh arrow." There's a smirk at that as he considers her for a moment. "What, you really want me to shoot you with an arrow? I didn't realize that's where our relationship was, Glim." There's a small smile, but he doesn't take back what he said either.
"Yeah, kinda like my dads. Alien world, alien tech, you know I'm gonna be part of it." After a moment's thought, he slides one of the pieces over to Glimmer. "So you don't go back empty handed. Or work on your own device?" he asks with a shrug. He considers the last part of all that. "That makes sense. It's why noone came to Beryl's aid there at the very end of things."
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk couldn't help it, she snickered, a hand over her mouth. "Oh, I see. The great 'whoosh' arrow. For when those jokes go over poorly? Still, probably better than the magnifying glass arrow." She wanted to tease for the sonic arrow buuuut... well....
"I mean... when we're fighting? Yes. We fought side by side for years, Bow. Even though..." She trailed off for a moment before sighing. "Even though I... think... you and I aren't... exactly from the same place? We've fought together. A lot. I trust you. You don't need to try and use lethal force on me. But when we're fighting? You should try to stop me. Even hit me. If not to win? Then for my own safety."
"... Riventon is pretty cool. But there are some *really* bad people there. Even Catra knows better than to step on some toes, and she's Catra. If I come back with bruises and some scrapes, that's expected. If I come back looking entirely fine, but without any victory? They're going to watch me closer."
She picked up the small piece and nodded, smiling. "Thanks. In the end? She ended up turning everyone on her. Including the people there. They're... not an organized, allied block of people. It's not like the horde. It's more like... a dozen different Hordes, all trying to use each other and get their own little victories. And so long as you keep that in mind, keeping eyes off yourself and what you don't want them to see isn't the hardest thing in the world. It's kind of like having some new bit of gossip at the Princess Ball and trying to slip you know something, without actually giving it up too easily. Lots of room for trouble, but lots of places to gain, too."
- Bow has posed:
"I've already told you I hate this, Glimmer." Bow responds, pushing his coffee away and leaning back in his chair. "I'm aware that Adora did something to try to reset the timeline. And when she did that, I... we were close." he says, leaving it at that for the moment. "But we can't be close if we're on opposite sides of the coin, can we?" He draws in a breath, picking up the ring and spins it on the table. "Were we this close? I dunno, to be honest." he explains. "This isn't mine, by the way." he points out quickly enough.
"Anyway... it's not like when we brought Adora in, is it? I have to really treat you like the enemy. Sayaka, at least, can fake that well. I can't. I can't have it both ways, Glimmer." he explains quietly. "I can't be both your guard and your enemy. That doesn't make any sense, you know what I mean?"
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk gave a soft sigh. "I... don't like it either. I don't want to do it. But I have to believe it's worth it, in the end. That the good will outdo the bad. Sometimes... sometimes I just have to do things I don't want to do, and that's just the way it is. I don't like it, I don't expect you to like it either. But... things don't just work out perfectly no matter how desperately we want them to. When we want that good, happy ending? We have to fight for it and earn it."
"... So, will you fight with me, Bow? Even if it means fighting against me sometimes? If you can't... I... understand. If we have to just be enemies, if... that's the only way you can accept this? I understand. And I won't force you to try to be anything else."
- Bow has posed:
Scrubbing both hands over his face, Bow lets out a sigh. "Yeah. I get what you're saying. Picking up what you're putting down - but I was doing that when we were kids." he says with a small smirk at Glimmer. He pauses for a moment, to consider the question seriously. "You should know, before you here it second hand... Saya and I are no longer seeing each other. I'm too self-sacrifical and don't take into account how others will feel when I do the things I do."
All things that Glimmer already knew.
"So. Knowing that... we've been friends... so just tell me to trust you and I will." he finally offers to her. "I've always been by your side."
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk gave a small nod. "Please... trust me. To know what I'm doing. Because I do know what I'm doing, I swear. I've... got a lot on my mind, admittedly. But I'm going to work this out. And... and when it's done? I'll get us home. Probably. I mean, I'm not entirely sure how to do that yet, but I'll find a way."
"... And I'm sorry about you and Sayaka. She seemed nice. You... do have a tendency to be a bit too self sacrificial. Then again, you've said that about me, so like... not like I can really... you know... get mad at you for it."
"... I hope... that Adora got home safe. And... I plan to get you home too. Somehow. I'm not sue how, yet. But... I'll find a way."
"... Heh. Yeah. You not taking into account how others feel? Here I always thought that was a 'me' thing," Glimmer said in a slightly teasing tone.
- Bow has posed:
"Adora didn't get home safe. She... reset her memories?" Bow asks. "She's now from a different point on the timeline. Did you not feel it when it happened? That change of awareness. A little gained knowledge or that loss of a memory you sword you knew?" he asks her and sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"No need to apologize to me. Check on here. I took the blame, but she may be feeling fine as well?" Clearly, he doesn't know for sure. Then there's a smirk at her tease. "It's totally a you thing and you're a bad influence, Glimmer." A smirk of amusement. "So. What's the plan now?"
- Glimmer Brightmoon has posed:
Gloria Moonhawk gave a soft sigh. "I... I don't know. The portal she made, it's... different? I think? I mean, when we did it the last time, nothing came back. But.... Rashmi told me that she had.... gotten a message and that... I just..."
She just sighed and drank the last of her smoothie, tossing it into the trash.
"In my timeline? That sword? Was already broken. The Adora we had was... what she became. But... I can't exactly... help her understand that. I don't even know how it worked out the first time. She just... did it. When Catra was in trouble. And now I'm the one trying to save Catra and that just feels *weird* and *wrong*. Like, she's kind of likeable sometimes? But my gosh I miss the Catra I knew after she stopped trying to be so razor rawry all the time. For now, though? The plan? Figure out how to move my Moonstone. Once it's out of there, Obsidian won't have it over my head. Then... I guess... try and fix things. Get Adora, you and Catra to where we can be. Make sure Horde Prime *doesn't* come back from the dead. If he does, kill him again. Get more smoothies, I guess. Then? Get us all back home, to whereever we're from. And make sure none of our homes are like... dying or whatever."
