Laura La Mer has posed:
It has been a day since the visiting mahous have been introduced to Chanteur and Sharon, and the kingdom's guests would have been shown their room for the night by the frost fairies, with up to 4 beds for each room. There certainly was a lot of space for each person, no matter if it were 2 or 4 choosing to stay there. And nobody could say that they weren't spoiled for choice with how many empty buildings there were.

The only thing one may feel a bit disappointed with is the lack of opportunities to meet with their host again after the previous day. Sharon certainly seemed nowhere to be seen, but in exchange, the frost fairies were limitless in number, and they certainly loved to make themselves useful, providing everything from food to directions to snow sports equipment to winter clothes, and basically anything else someone could think of.

They didn't provide for anything related to electronics and the rooms didn't have sockets either, but phones didn't seem to lose charge, so there wasn't a danger of them becoming unusable, even if did mean there was no access to the internet.

Laura had become quickly used to the internet's benefits ever since starting to live on the surface, but she could still send messages to others if they needed them to find one another in the vastity of Chanteur, but for now she'd been wandering without a destination, only coming to a stop upon reaching a wide space surrounded by trees, at which she had decided to tell anyone that could have wanted to join the pinkette her whereabouts.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
That first night, Usagi had been delighted to share a room with Mamoru and Chibiusa, though she'd missed Luna, just a little bit, (a lotta bit), and Naru too, with how used she'd gotten to sharing a room with the two of them. Sleeping in the castle was a little lonely, after getting used to the small size of the dorms, where everything was a little squished and squashed together, was a little shocking.

Not bad, though. Everything was lovely, decorated and pretty, and the snow fairies were everywhere, happy to offer up anything, even stuff Usagi was surprised they had access too, like super-cute ice-skates.

She's got a pair of them, strings together together and draped over her arm, and she's gotten some for Chibiusa too, just in case.

"So that clearing Laura-chan mentioned is somewhere around here..."

She might be a little turned around, though she's in the right area.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Amy wasn't expecting to stay overnight! But she gets to stay in a fancy bed, and the fairies conjure comfortable pajamas and toiletries and other such things. When they're not together doing things and she's not exploring the castle, well... she wasn't preparing for this trip specifically, but after getting stuck in the past for a week and a half, she's made sure to keep her phone stocked with reading material. Like, Fabiniku has so many chapters she hasn't gotten around to reading yet!

    The unlimited power is a pleasant surprise. Amy wasn't sure how long her battery -- even with a spare charger battery -- was going to last!

    Anyway, now it's time for... doing stuff on vacation! With her friends, just being there doing anything is fun, isn't it? She's so lucky to get two vacations in a row, after the trip to Hokkaido. "Hiii!" Amy cheerfully waves. The fairies have summoned her a faux fur-lined pink parka and matching snow pants and boots and a red scarf. "Everyone having a good vacation? I was thinking, maybe I could run a tabletop session later if folks want... Maybe entertain the kids for a bit, if Usagi-chan and Mamoru need a break-- where is she?" Amy looks around, then back to Laura. "Anyway, what did you call us out here for? Ooh, are we going sledding?" Amy smiles in anticipation. "I haven't done that in... so many years. Definitely finding a place to go sledding later while we're here if not..."

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
    Chibiusa was, for the most part, well behaved despite her constant plotting and scheming. She is perfectly at home in this setting, addressing the frost fairies the way that a noble might address a servant. Polite without being deferential, direct without being overbearing. She makes her wishes and needs very clear and expecting them to be fulfilled with all due punctuality. It might be a strange sight coming from someone who is, aside from whatever financial support she gets from Usagi and Mamoru, more or less broke.

    That said, what she requests isn't very much. She wanted to share a room with Usagi and Mamoru, a pet bed for Luna-P to rest on, the occasional food or snack, and other bare necessities. The lack of electronics is no real loss for her, because it's not like Luna-P would even use modern sockets and she hasn't gotten a chance to get addicted to the internet yet.

    The catball is now hovering behind Chibiusa as she wanders the palace with Usagi, while the requested ice skates are tied together by string and currently hanging from its floating head. Chibiusa looks up at Usagi with a narrow eyed frown and points to where she thinks Laura's clearing is. "It's over there, dummy!"

    Chibiusa is very confident of this fact. Unfortunately, she is wrong. Luna-P makes a ping noise and Small Lady suddenly looks confused. "Huh? But I thought it was..."

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Another person with skates over their arm is Mamoru, who's been primarily orienting on Usagi and Chibiusa while he's been here. He's actually found the large rooms delightful, and anyone who visited the dimensional bubble of the past can probably figure out why someone like Mamoru feels at home someplace like this.

Like for Chibiusa, none of it seems unusual or unworkable to him, and once he's settled, he's even wearing local style from the snow fairies -- something regal and long-cut in dark blue and light blue and gold, thick hose, tall leather boots... unfortunately also his glasses, but who's counting.
"I'd find it for you but I can't find anything without help here," laughs Mamoru softly, coming up and stopping beside Usagi, in front of Chibiusa. "Except for you two." But he holds up a hand and listens hard for a moment, frowning.

"I think I hear Amy-chan that way," he says, and starts walking. "Amy-chan? La Mer-san?" he calls out ahead. He's making enough noise as he goes that anyone should be able to hear him.

Laura La Mer has posed:
Usagi and Chibiusa are greeted by Kururun first, bouncing towards them with aplomb, having the clear appearance of someone who has been rolling around in the snow with lots of delight. "Kururun!", comes the cheery exclamation of the little seal, bouncing up with her paw raised, unaware of having come in just as when Luna-P has corrected Chibiusa.

On another side of the clearing Laura, laying against a tree at the limits of the clearing is approached by Amy first. "Hi, Amy-chan!", Laura greets the redhead with a wave of her own, now standing upright. "I am sure Yokina-chan would really love that idea, she is a great fan of board games, and we have been in fact playing them a lot together with Tsubasa-san, including at Grand Ocean once!"

"And you know, I just wanted to see others", she shrugs, putting enough nonchalance into it. Pointing towards where Kururun has gone, Laura starts moving in that direction. "My instincts tell me Usagi-chan is in that direction." Her instincts. Yeah.

"Hi, Usagi-chan, Chibiusa-chan, Mamoru-san!", Laura greets the trio once she is close enough to spot them and Luna-P, bending her knees for a second to pick up her fairy friend. "Great you decided to come! Now that we are all here, it's time to decide what we are going to use all this snow for" she announces proudly.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Don't call me a dummy if you're going to be wrong," Usagi snaps, and then - "Wait, no, don't call me a dummy at all!"

Yes, these little snapback flash in the pan arguments are common, yes it would be better if Usagi didn't take the bait, no she will never stop taking the bait.

It's a good thing Mamoru is here - he keeps the peace naturally, and Usagi breaks her glower at Chibiusa to grin at him, and then - there's a seal-fairy-friend rushing towards them, and Usagi breaks into a smile. "Hey, Kururun! Are you going to show us where everyone is, so we don't have to be los - oh, Mamochan found them for us! Come on, you can keep up, right?"

When they meet with everyone, she's all smiles again, and waves the skates over her arm a little.

"I figured if there was a pond, we could ice-skate! Otherwise, we'll have to do throw it at us." A beat. "The snow, I mean! Not the skates!"

Amanda Faust has posed:
    "Kururun? I guess snow is a kind of water, huh?" Amy smiles and hugs the seal fairy! And then Usamamo and Chibiusa are here! "Hiiiii! Ooh, ice skating sounds fun, I used to rollerblade all the time! Otherwise..."

    She looks back to Laura, "If there's an amazing hill to sled on, we gotta try that, otherwise... Are you suggesting we have like, a snowball fight with forts and everything? I never was in a big involved one..."

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
    Chibiusa sticks her tongue out at Usagi, then closes her eyes and sticks her nose up in the air. "Fine. I'll only call you that when I'm right, which is always." Except for, you know, just now. Also a few other times.

    When she spots Kururun, she goes quiet. Mamoru seems to know the way forward, and Chibiusa trusts him fully, so she follows along. Luna-P watches with her unchanging smile, balancing the string-tied ice skates on her head.

    Soon they meet Laura and Amy, and Chibiusa looks up at them quietly while the purpose of the snow is discussed. She's curious, but still a little shy when it comes to people she's not multiversally related to. Eventually she asks, "Are we going to make a snowman?"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"No throwing skates," Mamoru agrees mildly, slowing and letting Usagi and Chibiusa past him. "But I think I'll be taking pictures instead of throwing snow."

Now taking bets on how long that will last.

He waves with his free hand, warm light-blue gloves on his hands, and wanders up to smile at Laura while very lightly hip-checking Usagi as he comes abreast of her again-- and he waves to Amy! And then he laughs and says, "But I can definitely help build a snowman. I've never made one before! Have you, Chibiusa-chan?"

Laura La Mer has posed:
"Better than the lake, I don't think waiting for all of it to freeze would be doable", the mermaid replies to Usagi with a smirk. "Nor would you want to throw that at. That would be a throw of legend. You have my best wishes", she finishes telling her.

"That would end up being a photography contest with Kururun", Laura teases with a smirk. Herself? She would be busy playing of course, but she is confident the fairy would never let her down at taking bubble photos. For her part, Kururun has not paid much mind to who has the best photography skills, and is just eager to go back to playing!

"Kururun...", the fairy tells Laura, who nods slowly. "Alright, that would be... Yes, I understand", she considers, adding the seal's preference to the count. "We have a count of 1 ice skating, 2 snowman making, 1 sledding, and some more neutral preferences for snowball fights. I think there is a pond somewhere nearby, but it's ten minutes away, and a hill farther away than that, so all things considered, we could be making our forts right about now."

She waves to follow her while she reaches the middle of the clearing. "I say we show our artistic prowess and get to making snowmen! Who is ready to step up for the challenge?" she crosses her arms confidently while looking at the group.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Amy looks at Mamoru in surprise. "You've never made a snowman? I mean, I haven't since..." She holds her glove to her chin. "...I don't remember when, but I'm sure I did at some point."

    She gathers up a snowball, and then starts rolling it along to gather snow. "But we don't have anything to make their faces out of. Where will we get... oh right, where are those snow fairies?"

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"I'm so for snowman making! I haven't done it in a while, but me and Shingo and Mama and Papa used to make snowmans in our backyard all the time! We used to give them little odango and then Shingo would get Papa to lift him up so he could use them as snowballs against me."

She's smiling at the memory, even with the eyeroll at the memory of those ruined odangos, and she does not throw her skates - but she does set them down to the side, so she can more easily help gather up the snow.

"I'm not good at art, but I think if we work together, we could make the best snowman ever."

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
    Chibiusa looks up to Mamoru with a bright smile and nods. "I've made few snowpeople, but not as many as I'd like." She looks, for a moment, like she wants to say more, but once again she shuts up and goes back to being mysterious and shy. This is pretty normal by now.

    At the suggestion that they all explore their artistic side, Small Lady smiles brightly and says, "Right!" Then she turns to Amy and says, "Oh, we should get them to bring us scarves and top hats, too."

    Luna-P sets the alt-future princess's skates down then starts bouncing in the snow, while Chibiusa starts pushing snow together and rolling in order to form the base of the snowman. After looking down at her cold, cold handsl she winces and says, "Um... maybe we better ask for mittens, too."

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru glances around for snow fairies; it's pretty good, they're everywhere. He turns to the closest one and asks politely, "Would you mind getting her mittens? And a snowman scarf."

No top hat?

The tall young prince flips a blue-gloved hand over in the air and produces a top hat from nowhere, which he puts on top of Chibiusa's head. It's rakishly tilted because of odango.

Then he looks to Amy and gives a small smile. "Never." A beat, and he says a little disingenuously, "It doesn't snow enough often enough." But then the smile widens and he puts his skates down next to Usagi's and Chibiusa's, and packs a snowball and starts packing it more, then starts rolling it. "This is what you do, right? I saw it in a movie on viewtube."

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Amy giggles a little at the thought of a kid grabbing snow-odangoes -- snowdangoes -- to throw in a snowball fight. And nods at Chibiusa's idea, "Yeah! And a top hat!" she calls to the fairies Mamoru flags down. "And a pipe, I guess. I dunno, are we doing this traditional-like?"

    Amy stops rolling her snowball and considers, then shakes her head. "I'll decide how to cosplay my snowman after I make it."

    She continues rolling and nods to Mamoru, "Yeah, I think so like this, it's been awhile."

Laura La Mer has posed:
No sooner has Amy finished bringing them up that one chirps merrily while floating closer to the redhead, looking at her with the expectation to be told just what the redhead wants, putting on a small show of slowly switching places with 2 more snow fairies while they wait cheerfully.

Looks like it's a case of teamwork for the snowman! Kururun starts gathering up the snow too, while Laura considers that given their number, they will probably end up making more one anyway. "Let's get started then, and we can give them pieces of glass for those monocles!", she builds up on Chibiusa's idea.

The fairy Mamoru has asked things to swirls in the air rapidly, and the center of the imaginary circle it drew, mittens for everyone who did not have them already pop up, followed by an abundance of scarves, top hats, pipes and monocles.

"This is fun", Laura smiles while she is building up her own ball while observing the others, having never made a snowman before either. "Do we use sticks for their noses?", the pinkette asks, moving outwards from the clearing to gather some of those that the trees have already begun losing.

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
    Chibiusa feels the top hat grace her head and then looks up at Mamoru. She giggles for a moment and then adjusts the way the hat sits on her head. Not to straighten it out, of course, because a hat's not a hat until it's tilted.

    As the frost fairies grant her wish of mittens, Small Lady hurriedly puts them on before bowing slightly in the fairies' direction. "Thank you!" she says, before going back to her attempt at forming a good base of the snowman. She manages to roll a snowball to be about as big as she is tall, and then pauses as she tries to figure out how to get the second layer going when she can't even reach it.

    Luna-P hovers overhead, floating lackadaisically through the air and spinning.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Usagi's bundle of snow is lumpy and more than a little lopsided, but it's collected pretty fast, at least! A nice, hefty middle for them to... oh. She frowns. "Hey, Mamochan... do you think you can help me get this thing up?"

One of the requested scarves is actually wrapped around her neck, because it's pretty cold, but her lips poke out in a pout as she seeks his help. "And then, maybe you want to find some nice rocks for the eyes?"

No one will convince her that Mamoru isn't the best rock finder. He's her beloved dirt boy, after all.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru grins at Chibiusa's laughter, then rolls the ball he was working on over to her once she's got the hat settled. "Here, maybe you can use this, I want to take some pictures." He steps back and takes his phone out while biting a glove off like he does it all the time.

He's got a shot lined up and takes it right as Usagi called over. Looking a little wry, Mamoru turns back to Usagi and laughs when he sees her dilemma. He;s so tall. It's unfair how tall. Illegal. "Sure, sure," he says, still grinning-- looking happy right in front of Amy's salad-- as he puts his phone away and his glove back on. He hefts the ball up on the base, lumps and all, then steps back and dusts his hands off.

"Sure," he says again, his expression so soft, the little smile the one that's just for Usagi. "But here, before I go--" he adds, pulling out three roses. He breaks off most of the stems, just enough left to easily stab into packed snow and stay there, and says as he hands them over, "Boutonnieres." Because a flower's not a flower if it's wilted.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    "I mean, traditionally it's carrots for their noses..." Amy observes, "But I guess it could be anything. Sticks for arms though. Man, I wonder if we could do like... Now I'm remembering Calvin's epic horror snowmen in Calvin & Hobbes. ...I'm rereading that arc when I get back to Earth."

    Chibiusa has a top hat! "Oh, you look quite dapper, my lady!" Amy grins as she curtseys dramatically, giggles, and goes back to rolling up the bottom section of her snowman. Just about done!

    Roses! "Ooh, those could be decorations, yeah!" Amy cocks her head. "Is a buttoniere like a corsage? Or completely different?"

Laura La Mer has posed:
Laura comes back from her impromptu stick gathering session, having surprisingly found a good number of them, enough to have to hold them with both her arms. The stack actually comes to her chin.

...

She may have gone overboard.

"Really?", Laura bites her lips as she is told sticks are for the arms, not the nose. "Still, they are useful, so it's fine!", she considers out loud, placing the sticks nearby the snowmen they have been making. "Help yourselves to them, I got just the best ones, after all."

"Good job, Kururun", Laura smiles at the fairy and petting her, taking the smaller sphere she has been making and placing it on top of the other one. "There we go!", she stabs the sides of the headless snowman with the sticks.

"You just need a bowtie to complete the image", Laura agrees with Amy after taking a look at Chibiusa. "Mamoru-san seems to really like doting on you, he is like your older brother", she winks at the other pinkette before starting to make the head of her snowman.

Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
    Chibiusa hears Laura talk about Mamoru being 'like an older brother' and suddenly her smile turns a little awkward. "Yeah... he's... kinda something like that."

    She looks back to where Mamoru is and sees him taking some pictures, so she smiles and waves at the camera.

    The midsection of the Tsukino Snowman is a bit lumpy, and while Chibiusa could be mean about that she's actually having a good time. Besides, attacks like that need to be used sparingly or they lose effectiveness. So instead of being mean she makes a face that Usagi may or may not see before looking down at Mamoru's snowy contribution.

    "Well... um... if it's come to this..." Small Lady really doesn't want to ask Mamoru for help again, so instead she turns to Luna-P. "Abracadabra! Become a stepping stool!"

    One poof of pink smoke later, Small Lady is lifting up the snowball and climbing the ladder to plop it on the top. While up there, she takes a couple of Laura's offered sticks and tries arranging them like arms. Then she places the top hat on the 'head' and gives it a jaunty tilt, because of course she does, before tilting her head to consider what their snowman needs next.

Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"These are perfect, Mamochan," Usagi smiles warmly, looking at the trimmed roses and cheering as the lumpy middle section is added to the snowman. "Just perfect, I'll add them in a little bit."

Chibiusa on and Laura comes back with plenty - plenty of sticks, some of which Chibiusa sticks into the snowman, and Usagi smiles warm and amused.

"We could give this Snowman plenty more arms, with all these great sticks Laura-chan found," she teases, and carefully places the three roses into the chest, towards the right side.

"It's like a lapel decoration," she answers for Amy, "I dunno if that's what a corsage is too."

And then seh steps back too, to consider what all else it needs.

"Good job, everyone. Look how nice it's turning out!"

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Amy quirks an eyebrow as Chibiusa confirms Mamoru is like an older brother. It seems those two are really growing close to and caring for the kid that attached herself to them.

    She starts rolling up her snowman's middle section, and giggles at the Small Lady using the stepping stool. Smol is adorable!

    She does stop briefly to admire their like-a-family -built snowman. "Nice!"

Laura La Mer has posed:
Pampering of Chibiusa aside, Laura starts putting the finishing touches on her snowman, who, getting a carrot from a snow fairy and putting top hat, scarf and monocle. "There we go!", she smiles, reaching out to Kururun with a fairy cookie for her good job. Not that the fairy seal wasn't already motivated by fun.

"It really turned out well!", she agrees with Usagi. "Mine is a work of art too", the mermaid adds. A click of her Aqua Pot, and a bubble picture of the two snowmen is added to all the others, then she places back the bottle inside her hair.

"Playing with snow is something else, I definitely need to do some of the other things we had mentioned earlier", Laura smiles widely, thinking about what the day had given to her so far, and they were just getting started. Maybe she will also get to play with Yokina later. She is sure that the green-haired girl would love it just as much. Maybe even more.
