- Veronica Perenna has posed:
On the 14th of April, around 6pm, a crowd of journalists ammasses themselves in front of a villa in Pikarigaoka Ward, Tokyo, waiting anxiously in front of the property's gates, yet they all gave the impression to be purposely avoiding so much as brushing against the old steel. "Let me go, I was here first", "Are you sure your info is accurate?", "Who cares really?", are some of the rattles bouncing around the crowd, but silence falls as a clang pierces through the air, and the crowd parts in half, imitating the opening gate.
A Toyota Century makes its appearance soon afterwards, and the shouts resume in full, all of them focused on the driver of the luxurious vehicle.
"Mr. Hoshiga, aren't you worried about a thief aiming for your house?"
"Mr. Hoshiga, a declaration if you would!"
"Mr. Hoshiga, is the "Cat and the Spider" really at your mansion?"
"Mr. Hoshiga, do you think the police will ever reach a turning point on the identity of the princess of Sarek?"
The man at the steering wheel sighs and slows down, glancing at the boisterous crowd with piercing annoyance.
"I don't really care about petty thieves confusing their targets, and I am not interesting in who she is or what she calls herself", he frowns after rolling down the car window next to him. "And I am sure esteemed journalists such as yourselves are already up to date on the painting's location. Have a good day", he presses down on the pedal, leaving the mass of journalists behind in a hurry. Those declarations would later make it to every news article on the web and to the 14pm newscasts.
Later that evening, Veronica is in front of the school gate in her pajamas despite the cold air of the night. Not like what she wears is going to matter in a minute, and having this under her henshin will help if she has to detransform in a hurry at the dorm. No, her worries are of another kind. Mr. Hoshiga was too composed for someone who has received her calling card. There is something bigger going on here than a mere forgery.
Either way, she doesn't have time to spend here dallying, no thanks to her decision to be too cautious, she thinks rubbing her arms. "Moonlit Heist, Phantom Thief Release, My Evolution!", Veronica calls out, snapping her fingers and summoning the Hallward painting's blessing. Glowing mist wraps around her, and her magical garments materialise, accompanied by feline ears sprouting from her scalp, and a swishing tail emerging behind her.
"The Princess of Sarek, with hope held tight, I leap through shadows to light up the night!" she sings the final verse, holding her cane tightly in her hand. The transformed heroine then leaps over the gate, and then in the direction of the Pikarigaoka Ward.
At the opposite ends of the street with Mr. Hoshiga's mansion, the Princess of Sarek is standing atop a gazebo, watching the property's garden intently, looking at every dark spot away from the lampposts.
- Ahmya Karashima has posed:
Honestly, the sound of a 'Phantom Thief' was just kind of cool, like something right out of a manga or novel! That and there being an artwork by the name of 'The Cat and the Spider'? Well, that just sounded kind of interesting too. Maybe she'd take a sneak peek at it too! ... Also maybe help thwart the theft? Or help it? Honestly, Ahmya wasn't REALLY sure at this point on which of the two she would do, which is why, regardless...
There was a golden flash down one of the alleyways nearby the mansion, as Goldenweb Yorotsuchi traces the outline of her her hat, golden webbing building itself from the outer edges to the center of the hat until it is completed, and flipped onto her head, leaving her in that flowing Kimono and wooden geta of Goldenweb Yorotsuchi.
Shortly afterwards, her figure with that flowing golden veil can be seen hopping atop a nearby building, starting to look around the area curiously to see if something was /actually/ going to happen.
- Hinata Muramasa has posed:
Perched atop a nearby building, ribbons fluttering in the breeze at that height, stands the Shadow Shogun. She's got her arms crossed, eyes panning across the compound, any guards inside the compound, passers-by in the streets at this hour and... the distant figure of the Princess of Sarek... She'd seen the message, and decided to run a patrol out here on her own to see if the other Curse Hunter could either use some backup... or needed stopping.
Hinata wasn't sure yet.
Yo-Jim-Bo floats beside her in his mini form, clutching his little staff petulantly as he squawks at the samurai.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
The roofs are where Amy knows to look for her fellow magical girls, and she finds them.
The magical rocket girl hops from roof to roof and stops by Goldenweb Yorotsuchi, her own cloak billowing dramatically in the wind. "It's weird, right? Like, because of the veil they shouldn't be able to remember stuff. And yet, they know of the Princess of Sarek, and some of what she does, rather than coming to some other mundane explanation. Maybe it's like how people know about Sailor V? ...I wonder if people would play an arcade game about Veronica. Would she get royalties?"
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
The scrutiny of every centimeter of the garden has turned up nothing, the only thing remotely worth noting being the occasional sleepy guard making a round at irregular intervals. That, and the three other girls observing her and the mansion from above.
Maybe things could be as simple as that, but it's not going to cost her anything to check, the Princess of Sarek holds her cane tight, and she twirls it around in the air, traces of moonlight sparkling behind it, forming her personal symbol.
"Uncloaking Shimmers", she remarks, and a mist of moonlight falls out of the symbol drawn in the air, passing through the railing and spreading to every corner of the gardens, and the place remains unchanged, with the exception of the guard now alarmed, with a hand on a still sheathed gun.
Hmmm. Colour her surprised, it really was that simple, she tilts her head, ignoring the cries of alarm from the sentinel. "Hey, friends", she smirks at the other three mahoujin, "looks like the way is clear. Let's go in." They can talk more there.
Whatever their decision, Veronica's figure fades away, only to reappear from the other side of a window, now open, waiting for them to come in with her. The hallway she is in is finely decorated with ostentatious wealth, quality carpets and gold candelabra and portraits and wood cupboards and more.
- Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"The Veil doesn't stop memory, I don't think? More... connection? People without magic probably just think she's a normal thief using normal means, ne?" Is Yorotsuchi's response. "Just like how people think Sailor V is just an actress in a costume." Yorotsuchi crouches down as she looks over the mansion, closing her one eye as she sends Hachi to start doing reconnaisance on the mansion, the eye-spider crawling in its quasi-invisible form as it begins to look around for signs of trouble.
Mist spreads out over the mansion grounds, and then the Princess of Sarek arrives nearby. And... just says they can go inside. Huh. There was a brief look of confusion on Goldenweb Yorotsuchi's face at that, before leaning towards Amy to whisper. "We're here to possibly stop her, aren't we?"
Yeah this was her first time meeting the Princess of Sarek... who is just now off teleported into a window.
... Huh.
Whelp, might as well, and moments later a golden thread shoots through the now-open window, pulling the veiled mahou through the air and likely not particularly making the guards feel that much better about the night. It'll be fine. Probably.
"Wow, this place sure screams 'rich person."
- Hinata Muramasa has posed:
With a hop, the Shadow Shogun leaps down from her perch, and walljumps off a couple of other buildings before landing at ground level. She vaults over the compound wall and then ducks through the window to join the others.
"..."
Yo-Jim-Bo floats in a few moments later, landing on Hinata's shoulder like a very ugly parrot.
Hinata glances at her familiar, then back to The Princess. "Explain."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy just looks thoughtfu at Goldenweb's theory.
Let's go in? "Huh? Easy for you to say, you're the one who can walk through walls..." Amy notes, though she's smiling.
Ahmya asking if they're here to stop Sarek gets a shocked look. "What? No! We're here to help her!"
And then the window is open, and she leaps for it.
She nods a greeting to Shadow Shogun, and in agreement with Ahmya's observation. "Yeah. Imagine if they'd spent this much money helping people..."
And then she looks to her fellow mahou, "Anyway, we're here to help the Princess of Sarek, not stop her, there's these demons that use the artifacts to make humans greedy and then feed on that greed to get the power to break the ward sealing their master out of this world." She looks to Sarek for confirmation on if she's got all that right.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Be it due to their own furtivity or due to the guard's apprehension, the three of them receive no worries from the sentinel, and can approach the window Veronica opened with no worry.
"Welcome, welcome", she bows towards the three mahou, having a particular eye for Goldenweb Yorotsuchi. "That's a new face, are you enjoying my little show?", she asks, showing great curiosity in the mahou's presence. "This is the Princess of Sarek, at your service. What is your name?"
At Yorotsuchi's observation, she nods and with a tap of her cane, she produces a newspaper in her hand, with today's articles, seemingly out of nowhere (she actually just nimbly took it out of her own coat).
"Sure does, mr. Hoshiga has fingers in many pies", the girl with the hair of moonlight says with a hint of disdain for the man, and gives her the newspaper with a brief summary of the man's life annexed to her article about the painting.
"A few weeks ago my parents took part in a gala dinner with our host", Veronica walks down the hallway releasing that mist of light everything so often. "There I saw the "Cat and the Spider" for the first time, and thought nothing of it until the exhibit started."
The mist soon reveals a pin of gold on the ground, and there is a surge of dark energy, one Veronica steps around. "That's right, but this is not one of my relics. The "Cat and the Spider" at the museum is a fake.", she tells Amy, stopping behind a double door. "There we are, at our destination."
- Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"...That explains why this place screams 'rich person' if there's a demon that makes them greedy." Yorotsuchi responds to Amy at that. Also they're there to help her. "With a story like her being a phantom thief I could have gone either way to be honest! Fighting against a cool phantom thief, or helping her do phantom... thief-y ... thingies!" ALSO THERE WAS A SAMURAI HERE.
Seriously that's just really cool. ...The Samurai was mostly just being relatively quiet at the moment though so she mostly just observed her from ... a-close? ... Yeah it's a little weirder when she's occasionally glancing over while ~right there~.
"It sure is something. Princess of Sarek... right... " Pause, and then she's asked her name, and she flourishes into a bow, her cap flipping briefly off of her head, only to be caught in her hand. "I am Yorotsuchi of the Golden Web, blessed by the Jyrougumo." She flips her cap back onto her head, that veil flowing around as she looks around the area again...
And Hachi points out that dark energy, the eye-spider making little noises and gesturing at Yorotsuchi from the corner of her eye while Yorotsuchi reads that newspaper clipping. "I see, I see, so this is a stolen art piece, switched with a fake that was in the museum..." She muses. "Whelp, good enough for me, worst case scenerio I could always leave you hanging upside-down from a lamppost somewhere." She says, her tone cheerful in spite of the suggestion as she starts to head towards the double door, calmly reaching to pull it ever so slightly open... so that Hachi can slip inside to get a quick look while Yorotsuchi leans against the doorframe. "The Cat and the Spider is definitely ... something though." She muses.
- Hinata Muramasa has posed:
Hinata nods to Sarek's explanation, remaining largely silent though hovering a bit closer to Amy, having seen the Puella has less effective means of defense at short ranges... a silent pledge to cover her... it's just how she is.
Yorotsuchi's apraisal doesn't go unnoticed, the samurai glancing bac and holding the gaze for a moment or two. "The Shadow Shogun, for those who do not know me." she states almost blandly. "My partner is Yo-Jim-Bo." she adds, gesturing to her tengu-parrot.
The little doll-like spirit lifts his staff and squawks in greeting, earning a boop on his oversized nose. "Shh."
"... So, what happens now?" she asks next, turning back to the Princess of Sarek, and locking her dark eyes on the other mahou.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"Your parents?" Amy echoes. She doesn't actually know much about Veronica's pre-Radiant Heart life. "They're rich too, huh..."
But then the mist reveals a trap, and Amy stops, startled, and carefully walks around it. Also, surprised at the reveal that the painting is a fake. "Wait, what? If the painting... Oh. I see. So he has the real one and shouldn't? ...Is it magical? You said it's not one of your artifacts, but... What was that? A magic trap for us?"
Amy frowns, briefly envisioning a hypothetical menu/status screen showing each of them, with a bit of HP loss and negative conditions applied from the trap had they stepped on it. "...At least if he claimed that the one at the museum is real, he can't admit what a big deal is for you to steal the real one without admitting he lied..."
Beat.
Amy looks at Sarek's ears and tail, and at Goldenweb Yorotsuchi. "That Cat and the Spider, huh? Pretty fitting that you're the ones taking it, huh?" She smiles.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
"That's... definitely an interesting coincidence", Veronica's ears twitch as she peers curiously at Hachi, a brief pause from checking the door for traps. "The spider in the painting is not the same, but doesn't seem too different from the one you have there", she admits.
"The russian blue cat is likely the Sarek fairy of my predecessor, which is quite interesting", she explains to Yorotsuchi while noting her name. Something is definitely up with that painting.
The Goldenweb magical girl gets a smile when she returns Veronica's bow. "I do not fancy upside down perspectives, so I would have had to pass and take your sight for a few minutes if you tried", she quips back while sticking out her tongue impishly.
Listening to Amy, she nods. "My calling cards have an effect that makes nonmagical people wary. If he was calm this morning, things are different than expected." She doesn't comment on the painting being magical or not yet. She doesn't believe so, but she doesn't know for sure yet.
"I believe him having the real painting is an open secret among the noble and the rich, and my parents are part of those who overlook it", she grimaces, her tail swishing with irritation. "Too bad for them I am not a very good daughter", she goes back to smiling.
"Now we go in", she tells the Shogun, and the Princess of Sarek turns down the handle, stepping in the room beyond. Sitting on an armchair, the owner of the mansion turns his gaze at them.
"You took your sweet time, I thought I was about to fall asleep from the boredom", he speaks from a chair when the quartet gets into the room, the painting affixed to the wall above him. "So, you are the thief and friends", he remarks, making note of Veronica's hat and cane.
"Thanks for the warning. Maybe your magic helped you make a joke of others in the past, but I am not the common man", he smiles, and with a snap of his fingers, sharp star-shaped pins appear all around him, and then they lunge at the group.
- Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"Hm hm~. Such a coincidence indeed!" Goldenweb Yorotsuchi gives a warm little laugh, though she keeps it relatively quiet in light of the situation. The Shadow Shogun gets a much more calm bow than the overly-theatrical one she'd given towards the Princess of Sarek, likely due to the Princess of Sarek's own theatrical-ness. "Ah, right, my partner is Hachi." She actually doesn't point out Hachi, since Hachi usually is hiding in some corner out of sight, and also people generally don't particularly enjoy seeing spiders-with-an-eye-for-an-abdomen. For some reason. "Hm? Hachi is actually pretty young, yeah. She was created when I got my powers, so it's unlikely she'd be from a painting older than me." She gestures vaguely towards her sash-covered eye when she mentions 'created'.
"Ha ha ha, taking my sight for a few minutes... that would be difficult." She gives a wink. Which with only one eye just looks like an overly exaggerated blink more than anything, but it's fine. Probably. And then they open the door.
And start to enter. And the boss man immediately greets them. "Ooooh, it's like a movie!"
"Unfortunately for you, the bad guys never win in the movie~. Especially not when facing those with the power to devour the world sealed within their eye!" She flashes a grin. That gets a little more panicked for a half moment when star-shaped pins appear.
And she is immedialetly quickly weaving a series of webbing into a tight net which she flings out towards those flying stars, catching the worst of the ones flying towards her -- as well as possibly mitigating, or at least slightly gumming up the ones flying towards her allies.
Just don't mind the ones that got through, like that one that cut through her veil and through the arm of her kimono, leaving a thin little red line on her arm.
It's fine.
Ow ow ow ow.
- Hinata Muramasa has posed:
"I have a bad feeling about this." is all Hinata states before the door opens...
And reveals that their target is not as unguarded as they may wish it was. In a blur of motion, Hinata's swords are drawn, and she moves to slash the pins launched at her out of the air with sharp metallic clangs from the impacts, sparks flying as she deflects the attacks aside and harmlessly into the walls, floor or ceiling. "Stay behind me." she tosses over her shoulder without looking, crossing her blades defensively.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Sarek fairy? "Wait, is Emery a fairy?" Amy wonders.
Not a good daughter? "Well I think you're a good person and they should be proud of you." Amy asserts, a bit huffily.
And then... dude waiting in chair. "Wow, you actually sat here waiting the whole time? Do you think you're in a movie?" Amy grins, but then is caught off-guard.
"Wait, you know about magic??" When the pins come flying at her, she grabs her cloak and spins, hoping to deflect the pins like Tuxedo Mask might -- they don't look very massive, after all, she just has to hope they're not contact-triggered explosives or something.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
"Emery has always been with me, and she has never shown any signs of magic or intelligence", the cat thief replies to Amy. "I don't actually know what happened to the Sarek fairy. It's a mystery for me too."
"My parents are too hyped up by their own lineage", she tells Amy, adding a tip of her hat at the latter's endorsement.
"It would be rude of me not to announce my arrival in advance, don't you agree?", Veronica just smiles uncaring towards mr. Hoshiga, and she dodges the few pins that pass through Yorotsuchi's and the Shogun's tight defense.
"You tipped your hand just this morning, so it was worth it for me too", she grins at him and a beam of moonlight strikes him from the Princess of Sarek's cane. "But worry not, I will relieve you of the painting, so your lies end here today", she replies confidently.
"We will see about that, but with a cat, a spider, and... hmmm, you two have no obvious theme, so I will call the redhead a panda, and the silent girl a penguin", he decides out of nowhere, grunting at that strike of moonlight, a dark star conjured to block it. "Now, I was saying that I just have to treat you like the invasive threats you are", he finishes.
He doesn't regard Amy's question, and instead, sends out dark gold wires rapidly to pin her at the wall, while the Shadow Shogun gets more and more of those pins, in contract to Yorotsuchi, that finds herself of the receiving of a blast of heat that rather than hurting her, surrounds her in extremely dry air, and lastly Veronica gets that same shield shot at her with a punch.
- Hinata Muramasa has posed:
"Smoggy timberland,
A single, opaque crow stings,
despite the mushroom."
Hinata intones even as her blades flash and clash against the torrent of star pins coming her way. She's forced back, but then, Yo-Jim-Bo bellows a war cry as he grows to full size, adding his staff to the fray, spinning and twirling it to help the Shadow Shogun push forward toward the man.
"..." Hinata remains silent of course. She's not exactly the talkative type, but the strain does begin to show as she emitst little grunts of effort.
- Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"Wow~. Even talking like a villain from a movie." Goldenweb Yorotsuchi comments bemusedly at the comment from the man, eyes flickering between her allies. Okay they seem ... mostly fine it seems. What's somewhat less fine is the burst of hot, dry air around her. Something... moderately unpleasant actually, for her webbing. Hm. Well, it's fine.
"I strongly recommend you just give up the painting~." She says, as she slides her odachi off of her shoulders and into her hands, glancing around the room to judge general space availability. Yosh, good thing it's a rich person villa.
"It's not very good for people to have things possessed by demons and stuff~."
She brushes her hand over the surface of that odachi, several runes etching in their wake.
[FRIGID]
[WIDE]
[BURST]
And she swings her blade in a quick arc forward, a wave of wide icy energy launched towards the mansion's owner, as well as a burst of cool air around her -- and the others of course, probably to cool off that overly hot, dry air.
...It doesn't help much with the dry part, but at least it's less hot.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Well, the battle is begun!
"A panda?!" Amy exclaims. 'Wrong spring', she mutters, then louder, "What's that supposed to mean?!"
Before she can get an answer, though, Amy's kept on the defensive, barely dodging wires -- they catch her cloak, but she lets it pull free, and she just
Well she returns fire with a gun, it's one of the least destructive things she can use! A high-caliber pistol where the bullets are tiny spin-stabilized non-explosive rockets. Amy presumes he has magical defenses. "Who are you, anyway?! Why do you have magic, and this painting? What do you want?!"
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
The shield is effective at pushing Veronica back, and mr. Hoshiga grins satisfied, letting Yorotsuchi have his full attention.
"Girl, you have watched too many of them. This is not a movie, and you should just stop wearing that eyepatch while you are of it. It makes you look like you lost a dare, not that you have some mysterious powers within you", Mr. Hoshiga remarks.
And if she had special powers, no? Really so little tact and class there, he shakes his head. "And that's why I don't have any. If you want to look for them, you should try elsewhere", but then there is that blade of ice magic and he focuses on it.
He is about to dodge it and send it back when Veronica recovers from the hit of the dark shield, and sends a calling card at his face, exploding and blinding him on the spot. "Arghh!", he grits his teeth, trying to ignore the weapon that now meets its target.
"I am just one of the most influential men in Tokyo", he still has the energy and gall to tell Amy, looking in the completely opposite direction of where the redhead is supposed to be. The little bullets clash into Yorotsuchi's blade, breaking it into fragments that get further into his body, earning a cry of pain.
- Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"Ah, you want to see what's under it, then?" Yorotsuchi responds. "Hai hai~. As you wish~." Goldenweb Yorotsuchi says, flashing a grin as the chaos erupts around her. And she lifts her hand to that eyepatch. "Per the contract."
"I awaken and summon thee, Hachi of the Golden Web."
Golden webbing builds a massive web up behind her, as she lifts the eyepatch off of her eye. At the same time, she closes her good eye, revealing a webbed up eye, completely lacking an iris and instead strings of that golden thread fill up her eye.
Behind her, Hachi, the eye-spider, appears. Only she is now likely filling that room and web behind her from top to bottom, that massive eye turned to lock onto the man.
[Illusion]
[Drain]
[Weaken]
[Bind]
That massive eye glows brightly, before waves of golden energy shoot through the area, focused on him, while webbing crawls along the ground, creating an intricate web on the floor. If not resisted, the man would find himself in an illusion of an infinite spider web, each movement entangling him further and further, sapping more of his strength, as that giant spider slowly approaches in that illusory state.
In the real world, of course, he is just being bound up by golden webbing and having a series of debuff runes repeatedly applied over his body.
"Be careful what you wish for~."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
When he dares insult her friend, Amy sneers, "Maybe that's just what someone with powers wants you to think."
Goldenweb Yorotsuchi did not need the help of being talked up! That web-eye and then a giant spider are creepier than anything Amy or Mr. Hoshiga probably imagined.
And then on top of it all, her magic bullets shatter and then go into him like bullets and Amy's eyes widen in shock. "Wait... you don't have any defense magic and you got into a magic battle?!"
Her finishers are all exploding things. And after seeing the bullet fragments go into him like that, Amy can vividly recall aiming her powers at Koan's body and then suddenly making it headless. "Buddy, we've um... got you bested." She's not bragging, so much as awkwardly trying to discourage someone who could become chunky salsa. "You brought knives to a gunfight. Please stand down. Most of my attacks do not leave corpses." And they're inside, so she doesn't want to go for gas grenades. She's trying to think of if she has a way to knock him out... but fortunately, Hachi seems to have it well in hand (in... claw? In spinneret?) and she knows Sarek can do the hat thing, so hopefully she won't have to shoot him anymore to stop him...
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
"What could ever be under it?", Mr. Hoshiga scoffs at the Goldenweb magical girl, now seeing enough to identify her blurry shape. "Wha-", he blinks at that eye, and then start screaming at the approaching spider only he sees. "No, no, no!", he struggles against his binds in vain.
Veronica snaps her fingers for attention, and she takes her hat off. "Friends and one-time visitors, let us conclude the evening with my final trick", she bows her head at the other mahous, tossing the hat into the air.
The object vanishes well before it reaches the ceiling, and the Phantom Thief taps the ground with her cane, and ripples of nonexistent water traverse the room. An illusionary full moon peeks from the fake water surface, bathing the entire room in its silver light.
"Moonlight Masquerade!", the Princess of Sarek smiles, her hat, now gigantic hat emerging with a rumble from the ground, sweeping the man up before appearing again with a snap of the Princess of Sarek's fingers. Just like Yorotsuchi's magic, he has never actually moved, the silver glow surrounding him with purifying energy.
"This is not over, you don't know what you are facing", he smiles one last time before falling to the ground unresponsive. Veronica's tail stiffens with mild shock, but she breathes out relieved after pressing her fingers against his neck.
"He is just unconscious", she says out loud, jumping towards the painting and taking it off the wall in one fluid movement. "Now then, let us be off and bring this artwork to its rightful place."
- Ahmya Karashima has posed:
"A horrible injury. That's what." Goldenweb Yorotsuchi replies, as Hachi returns to normal size and skitters back off into a hidden corner once more, though those bindings and that illusion remain, being instead sustained by runes that had been on his body. As Amy asks him to stand down, and the Princess of Sarek unleashes the moonlight masquerade, and with the man falling unconscious, Ahmy pauses juuuust long enough to remove the illusion, drain, and weaken runes from the man, though leaving him bound for now. Just in case.
"Geeze, assuming a girl is wearing an eyepatch just for mysterious powers reasons... that's just rude and unclassy." She mutters, as she turns to re-open the door, the spiderweb not binding the man disintegrating into motes of golden magic that float on the air. "I'm ready to get out of here, too. Honestly, as much as I joked around, beating him up didn't feel that great..."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Let us conclude with my final trick -- Amy bows to Sarek, "He's all yours!" And she watches the effect in with a relieved smile, wondering how much is illusion and how much is real. He's purified, and alive. "Did that uh... did that get my bullets out of him...?" she wonders, giving him a quick look.
Worst case, she'll apply clotting bandage and tell someone outside he needs emergency attention. She nods to Ahmya, "I feel you..." She turns to Sarek, "Let's go; Lead the way, Princess."
