Cast of Characters: Hinoiri Kirara, Double Trouble

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara was sitting on her bed, some pillows propped up behind her as she read a book. This time? It was light reading. She was flipping through it and... it was an art book. Not like, a book about art. Just art. It had a lot of pictures in it. It was... oddly soothing for her. Allowing her to relax. She'd kind of overtaxed her brain recently, spent wayyyyy too much time on other things, focusing on how to solve every single little problem. It resulted in her being a little... ahem... She had a bit of a headache.

And she STILL had to talk to Double Trouble. And she was wearing a cute little oversized sweater. One of those ugly things that were poofy and every time you saw it you groaned and wanted to toss it out, but then you put it on and it was so comfortable you couldn't.

Double Trouble has posed:
Dianora Lagorio, on the other hand, had been busy being social. She was out making friends, and that meant she was actively participating in her clubs. Both the Drama and Music clubs. She was spending a lot of her free time at the club building rehearsing one thing or another. Often she'd come home after dinner. Like tonight.

The sound of the key in the doorknob was all the warning Hinoiri got before the pink menace burst into the room. "Onee-chan!! I'm so glad you're here," she skip-ran across the room, taking a leap at Hinoiri to hug her without even taking off her cute little pink backpack. "I missed you, but rehearsals are going so well."

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara glanced up as her roommate came into the room and... Oh dear. She quickly moved the book away in time to avoid getting Dianora's face with it. A small smile formed on her lips and she caught the little girl, catching her and giving her a tight little hug.

"Hey, little trouble maker. Happy its going well, one more step on the way to becoming a star?" she asked with a teasing tone.

She waited for a few moments for the door to close before her grip lightened a bit. "So, there's a bowl in the fridge for you, just need to toss it in the microwave. I portioned some of that soup from saturday. I didn't know when you'd be home or I'd have warmed it up for you. After you've had a chance to eat, I need to ask you something. Hopefully won't take long, just uhhh... well. If you know someone by the name of Scorpia."

Double Trouble has posed:
Dianora wrapped her arms around Hinoiri's shoulders and squeezed tightly, getting hugged back in return. She made a happy little squeak and then let go, stepping back and bouncing on her heels. She beamed. "Oh yes! Pretty soon everyone is going to know just how talented I am!"

Then Hinoiri was talking about food which is is even more important than fame. "Oooh, what kind of soup?" She'd been so busy, she was not paying attention to any soup making that might have been going on. But she doesn't care. She was hungry. It takes calories to perform, and she was always performing. She immediately pulls it out and pops it in the microwave to reheat.

While it's going she turns around and grins real big. "Wait. You already met her? I was just telling her how great you are. Did you hear her sing? Oh she's got such a great voice."

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara gave a light chuckle, shaking her head and watching the little girl scamper off to go and eat. "Oh, broccoli cheddar, with rice. Nothing fancy." She'd made it herself, so it wasn't anything too complex or over the top. But then, she'd made it for them, so it hadn't needed to be. It was just for the two of them and Hinoiri wasn't the best cook outside of baking, where she was at least pretty good.

"Oh? And... sort of. See, someone at Obsidian wants my help to help them reduce the effects of my towers. Like it or not, I can't touch them due to the defenses, but they can't mess with them because I have the knowledge. I agreed to help her, but I need a sparkle to be there because there is absolutely no way I am going to meet someone from Obsidian alone. They mentioned Scorpia... who is apparently also their girlfriend. I don't know the girl and am a little... iffy on if I can trust my life in their hands. But they ran into me earlier and introduced themselves. They knew a girl named Glimmer, who I remember Catra mentioning, who'd vouch for them. But... well. That means I'd need to ask your view on them. Haven't heard them sing yet, though."

Double Trouble has posed:
Dianora just stands there and stares as the microwave whirs in the background. She's listening to Hinoiri explain the situation and getting a bigger and bigger grin on her face. "Oh the tangled webs we weave," she says with a giggle, finally clapping her hands.

"So you're telling me Gushiken-san came to you and wants your help tampering with the towers Eudial has her deploying?" It's Double Trouble's job to make sure all the other Obsidianites keep to the dark and windy path of evil, and so they make it their business to know what everyone is doing. The only thing that's out of place is hearing those words fall from Dianora's lips.

"You very reasonably don't trust her. She is an an ice queen at best, and an inferno of rage when she doesn't get her way. The way Scorpia--we should really call her Sarah--talks about her, though, I think that big butch cinnamon roll is going to turn her eventually," she says, like she's speculating about the plot of her favorite show. "In the mean time, you can trust Sarah. She is incapable of lying and terrible with secrets."

The microwave dings and Dianora's lips twist. She's terrible with secrets, so Dianora knows it's only a matter of time until hers gets out.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara gave a small nod. "Mmmm hm. She may not be as icy as you think, Dee. I talked to her and it sounds like she means it. She really does want to stop it from getting out of control. Granted, I'm pretty sure she's trying to use me... but I'm trying to use her and who at Obsidian isn't trying to use someone else?" she asked with a shrug.

"My biggest concern with Scorpia is, well... I don't have magic and lil miss ice queen might decide she has what she needs, so it's okay to have me go bye bye. If that happens, can I trust Scorpia to keep me safe? Or is she likely to pull an Adora and be all 'Oh, my crush wants you gone so stabby stab!'"

She then paused. "Also, I'd hope this goes without saying, but this conversation stays between you and me. The last thing I want anyone at Obsidian knowing is I tampered with the towers. If that happens they might decide to start going all assassin on me again and I'd like to avoid that."

Double Trouble has posed:
Dianora Lagorio turned to pull her soup out of the microwave and carried it over to the table that occupied most of the middle of their room. The table Hinoiri had put there so that they could have dates right at home. So that it was more like their old room. She set it down and climbed up up onto her chair.

"Onee-chan, I would never do anything to put you in danger," Dianora says. "Not after all the work I've done to keep them from killing you already. You're the most precious person to me in this whole world." Beat. "In any world." She blows across the surface of her soup and then shakes her head.

"When I first met her, she was Force Captain Scorpia, and she was Catra's lackey. She loved that stupid feline almost as much as Adora did. It was unrequited, of course. But she tried to chase Catra's praise for so long until she finally figured out how badly she was being used," she explains.

She shakes her head. "I flat out asked her if Ryoko was her new Catra when we caught up last week," she says with an evil little smirk on her face. "Trust me, she learned her lesson. If she's there to protect you, she'll protect you from Gushiken-san too."

"But if she did turn on you, it'd be her paralytic venom," she says. "You'd be immoble and out cold before you knew what hit you."

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara gave a small smile. "Good. So I can trust her to not turning on me. But yeah, if she's got knockout venom? That... doesn't really help. I can't exactly fight two magic people without magic, let alone if I'm poisoned. So... when the day happens? I'll tell you where it is. If you wanna stay close and keep an eye on things, I'd appreciate it."

Hinoiri then got up, walking towards her. She moved up behind Dianora and, gently, reached out. Sliding her arms around her roommate, she gave her a little hug from behind. "And you're the most important thing in the world to me. I... don't know what I'd do without you. Other... than fall apart." She gave her a little kiss on the forehead. "You've definitely helped to ground me. If you say this girl can be trusted to keep me safe? I believe you." Because, frankly? There... wasn't much else in the world she could trust. Slowly, she slid away with a smile.

Double Trouble has posed:
Dianora Lagorio rested her hands in her lap and just leaned her head against Hinoiri's arm when she hugged her from behind. The smol little girl let her eyes lid and she smiled and took in a deep breath and let out a happy sigh. "Yes. Figuring out those kinds of boundaries was what gave her the guts to leave the Horde and join up with the other Princesses."

Unlike a lot of what she just said, that all sounds perfectly natural coming out of Lil' Miss Pink. Of course she's on about princesses. "She'd never let someone use her like that again. No, she's convinced Gushiken-san is redeemable, and it sounds like maybe she's on to something. If anyone can do it, it's her. She is relentless. The only reason Catra didn't crack is, well, she's Catra. She's so oblivious to what's right in front of her most of the time."

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara gave a snort and nodded. "Yeah. Her and Adora. Those two really are close, I swear sometimes. I often wonder if they do things in the worse possible way on purpose." Pause. "Well, okay. In Catra's case I know she often does. Say what you want about me, at least I was never THAT self destructive. I at least had a goal other than 'burn down this person'." Oh, how unaware she was sometimes...

Hinoiri walked back to her bed and climbed in, pulling her book back over. "So, tell me more about this performance you've got coming up. Any other faces I should keep an eye on, or do you intend to steal the show again?"

Double Trouble has posed:
Instead of commenting on how unaware Hinoiri might or might not have been, Dianora instead finally took a bite of her soup. "Mmmm, Onee-chan," she said, after she swallowed it down. "This is so delicious!" Then a little quieter, she says, "It doesn't even have meat in it." Like that's surprising. She eagerly takes more bites.

After a few, with a little dribble running down her chin, she looks up to Hinoiri. "Oh, everybody will be great, but you don't need to watch them. I'm the only one who matters."
