Chrono Harlaown has posed:
The waves crashed against the beach the water came down in such heavy sheets as if to angrily drown all who dared to be out in such a thing. The circus that was Walpurgisnacht had come to the city and it craved the destruction of all.

During times like this, Chrono knew that there were only a handful of things to be done. Destroy the attacking force, or save those who could not. Rashmi was working on the first and, while he knew he was the more capable fighter... she was the more capable supporter. More than that, she exemplified the strange magic of this world far better than he did and while he was trying to learn to use it and understand it, he didn't fully.

That, and when it came to search and rescue? He knew he was far better. Many of these girls had learned how to fight a monster. But it was something else entirely when it came to fighting lunch. So Chrono had been tearing through the streets, helping those who were trapped in these pounding sheets of water find shelter where they could.

When he received an alert. An S.O.S., just outside in the waters of the pier. A cargo vessel, caught in the sudden storm, struggling to remain buoyant as the waves crashed around it. He stopped on the pier, the large vessel just on the edge of what one could see through the rain and waves...

Then... Walpurgisnacht landed. Far, far off in the distance, he could see the vessel already struggling. Add the witch's familiars approaching and things would only get worse. Unfortunately, he knew very, very few who were capable of dealing with threats like this. He did, however, know a mermaid...

Well, two. But it was doubtful both would receive his message. He sent one out, alerting them to the danger at sea, and requesting assistance from the creature of the sea.

Niji Dasshu has posed:
The energy the creature in the distance exuded was gross. Just gross. All wrong and spooky feeling. The creature was also a flying godzilla gear monster - she'd been close by, for a moment, a blur - and was already staring down a horde of magical girls. She had faith in them to deal with it. But along with the threat of the super-witch, she brought her own threats. The torrential wind and rain, a storm of epic proportions that rose up out of nowhere, stranding people who had no chance to get to shelter.

When it came to big fights like this, bashing the toes of a hundred story tall monster probably wasn't the most helpful thing Niji Dasshu, AKA Geode Girl Loyalty, could do. Everyone could fight, but not everyone could move as fast as her, and was strong enough to pick up and carry people to boot. She'd started to rush through the streets, a multicolored blur of a girl, rainbow colors that stood against the hostility of Walpurgisnacht in her own way.

Coincidentally, rushing past as she saw the boy on the pier. "Hey, kid!" she said, appearing in front of him in a sudden moment only heralded by way too many colors. Once she stopped, and the two of them contrasted so heavily - the girl with rainbow hair and rainbow clothes and blue feathery wings staring at the boy in the nearly all black outfit with the shoulder spikes. She'd seen him before, a while ago. A long while, really. She tapped the side of her head. "I rememebr you. You had the pretty bird the evil girl was chasing?" she asks. "Anyways, what are you doing out here. Storm's coming. Looks bad..."

Coco Kiumi has posed:
As natural as it would be for Coco to fend the stormy sea in search of victims out at sea, considering the distance between Radiant Heart and the Yumegahama Ward, it was much harder to ignore the present threats of those familiars that fashioned themselves as magicals girls. Not exactly a nice thought, considering where they came from. Not to mention the huge clock-doll-witch in the distance.

Her voice kept raising higher than the howling winds and the Live Stage shining bright under the dark sky, up until the message from Chrono came, informing her of the people lost in the stormy waters and wanting her assistance in that situation. She went as fast as she could in the direction of Yumegahama Ward, ditching the Live Stage as a flying method, and simply keeping it around herself as protection from the environmental effects all around. Considering the circumstances, it was best she trusted others with the fight.

"I am here, Chrono!", Coco shouts as soon as she she sees the figure of the magical boy - and next to him, that of the Geode Girl, to whom Coco offers another greeting. "Do we have a rough guess of how many are lost at sea?" she stops to ask him before diving among the violent waves.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown glanced back, squinting through the rain. Who...? Wait, rainbow? Was it that one girl who--

Oh yes, the one he almost gave an aneurism too. Kid? "I am Time Space--" And then he stopped. Oh, she remembered him. He pointed out towards the sea. "There's a shipping vessel out there, trapped in the waves and deploying an SOS. They've sent an alert. If it sinks, there could be a massive ecological disaster, not to mention the lost lives of dozens of people," he said. "I don't suppose you're any good in the sea?" he asked, before glancing towards the wings. "Are those decoration, or can you fly in this weather?"

Then Coco, he smiled over at her. "Ah, perfect!" A mermaid, yes! "There's a cargo ship deploying an SOS over in that direction," he said, pointing off towards the distance. "Likely a crew of twenty to thirty people. If the ship sinks, it'll be an exological disaster. I can... maybe... ensure it doesn't. But I can't protect both the crew and make sure we avoid a disaster. Especially if it turns out the best I can do is make sure it crashes onto land and not at sea."

Niji Dasshu has posed:
"It's a little difficult to fly in this storm but it's magic so I can probably just power through it." Loyalty admits, with a slight bit of awarness of how things work. "Especially if there are people out there who need saving and people next to me who need help." she adds. "But I can probably also just run over the water. That works, right?" she asks, scratching her head. "Actually every time I've been over water I've flown so I should probably stick with that."

She turns to Coco and smiles. "Oh good, someone else with some color." she says, grinning. Then she pauses. "Oh actually I'm a pretty good swimmer too. I'm just used to solving everything with running." she says, rubbing the back of her neck. "AAAANYWAYS. Look at this, I'm wasting time thinking." she says. She points out there. "It's that boat, right? I'm gonna get to work. Gonna rely on you and the pretty mermaid girl to stop the boat, I think that's not gonna be my jam here..." she says, before racing off. It's clear she tries to run on the water before switching to her wings midway when the water gets to her torso.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Coco scoffs when she is called pretty. This hardly seems the time for compliments. Though she wouldn't have any complaints about the place in any other circumstance. "I bet people think that since you have gotten all the colours yourself, there isn't much of a point in being colourful themselves", Coco quips back to Loyalty. It is right that Chrono doesn't stand out much in the muted colours of the storm.

'Is she really so fast as to be able to run on top of the water?', Coco considers when the other magical girl boasts about her speed. If she can, that would probably make her less tired than swimming with legs in this storm.

The blonde girl turns to the direction Chrono has pointed, looking at the huge vessel moving with clear difficulty, rocked by the turbulent waves like a slowing down top. She doesn't want to imagine all the kind of spills a ship like that would cause if if it sink. Chrono is right about its impact, merely saving the crew is not enough here. Risk assessment over, time to get a move on already.

"You can count on me", she tells him while already starting to walk into the water. Soon enough, she has transformed back to being a mermaid, already swimming rapidly towards the imperiled ship.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown let out a sigh of relief. Well, it wasa team of three. And once they managed to stop the witch, well... they'd have a lot less chaos. And... even the storm seemed to be calming slightly. He wondered if that was a good sign.

He took off after them, before opening the link. << I've started a direct link with my device. Focus on thinking things towards us, and you should have no issue communicating with us over the winds. >>

It didn't take Chrono long to find the ship, and things were as bad as he feared. The crew was on top, desperately trying to tie down riggings, and... well...

<< Yellow, crew member, just flew off the starboard side! >> he called over the device, before dropping towards the deck. He grabbed the rope the man had been trying to tie down, before tieing it down and freezing it for good measure. The crates on top were... unstabble, to say the least. He'd need to deal with them, first. Dashing towards them, he put his device against them...

            <<Subzero Tomb!>>

Trapping the crates in a field of ice to help make them... slightly more stable. But there was still a lot more work to do.

Niji Dasshu has posed:
<<Has anyone ever told you the whole talking in minds thing is a little weird without warning? And I don't mean warning when you start.>> is the first thing he hears from Loyalty. <<I hope you can't read my thoughts, unless you really want a whole lot of info about the Yomiuri Giants.>>

But there was someone overboard, in addition to the one Chrono called out - on the opposite side, and... he was probably very surprised to fall into a living crayon box of a girl with blue skin. In fact he passed right out. <<I'm going to start taking the crew to shore. I know you guys can stop the boat from crashing, but they're still in danger on it.>>

She trusts Coco to catch the other falling person - if not she can always fish him out of the water. There's a little bit as a colorful blue zips from the boat to shore and then back. Then again. <<This... is going to take a while. I don't think I can carry more than one without slowing down.>>

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Was Chrono expecting her to understand nautical terms? At least those probably are nautical terms from what she knows, but she has never really needed to learn how sailors speak. She has no reason to use a boat, and not much of a chance to get exposed to those terms either.

Rather than losing precious seconds trying to ask him what he meant by that, even with something as useful as the connection through that device, she kicks the water with her tail, scouring for when the crew member might have fallen as she circles the ship.

She dives under the water surface when she finds the crew member not managing to stay afloat amidst the tumultuous currents on the ship's right side (right! make a note of that). <<I got one! I am heading to the shore right now! And I am guessing starboard is a nautical term, I don't actually know these terms>>, she finishes reporting her situation after she has left her rescue to shallow enough side and checked for breathing.

Keeping them up so they didn't swallow more water was harder than expected, but it went well, so time to head back to the ship fast, she thinks while dragging herself to deeper waters.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown was, once again, reminded that not everyone on this planet who fought was military. In fact, almost none of them were.

He really needed to be more careful about that. "Rescue is on the way! Just hold on!" he yelled. Fortunately, those on the ship were far, far too busy to worry about who this very short search and rescue boy came from. Especially since he was running about and seemed to know what he was doing. There was a rather fierce wave and he had no choice but to grab onto the rigging and hold on as the ship rose high, only to crash back down a moment later. As massive as the ship was, the fact it WAS being tossed around so bodily was a clear sign of how nasty this wall was.

He raced towards the control room, shoving open the door and calling out to the man in charge. "How many more are on the ship here?" he asked, making the man turn around.

"Who are--"

"TSAB ENFORCER, search and rescue! Answer the question!"

"Uhhh, there are four below deck, but we--"

"Rescue is on the way!"

<< Loyalty, there are four more below deck, I can't manage this and get them. Can you get below deck? >>

Meanwhile, he ran about the vessel, trying to die things down as best he could, freezing what he could. They were getting dangerously close to the shore...

And the threats of jutting rocks that represented. Fortunately, he was able to prevent, for the moment, any more from falling within.

Niji Dasshu has posed:
Loyalty is midway through flying up towards the ship after her third deposit onshore. She looks at Chrono. <<Alright, I'll run through. I'm not as fast going through rooms and such though, I don't want to trip.>> she notes before zipping off at a reduced but still blurry speed. Or maybe it's not the speed that causes the blur, maybe she's leaving some sort of trail as she moves?

<<Can you hear me, yellow girl? Yellow Mermaid?>> she says. <<If this ship has any lifeboats we should try packing people onto one, and maybe you and I can keep it stable and push it to shore faster than hauling them one-by-one.>> she suggests.

<<Got... one, two. Some of them are trying to stay down here and stablize the engine but they're coming when I get back, even if they try to fight me.>> she notes, before the door opens and two very confused crew walk onto the deck from below.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
She doubts anyone can spot her between focusing on keeping the ship working and the raging waves making it more difficult to spot her. They maaaaay assume there is a shark or a dolphin. Probably. Better the latter out of the two. They are probably panicked enough as is without thinking something is out for the blood in the water. And, the crew member she had rescued really wasn't very conscious.

Though, the freighter was coming eerily close to crashing onto rocks, so she has more important things to worry about how many saw a mermaid in the sea. "Legend of Mermaid: Pichi Pichi Voice, Live Start!"", Coco shouts, singing her purifying melody narrating about the nostalgic song of a faraway world, the fantasy of a night where stars like pearls release a wondrous light and give everyone a shining future.

Live Stages appear to guide the ship, called by the magic of the song lifting the spirits of those that hear it, the spheres of brilliant white guiding the ship away from the danger of the rocks.

<<I will start looking for one>> Coco replies to Loyalty, starting to move close to the side of the ship and peer at where the lifeboats might be. <<That plan works, but I will have to leave the shallow parts to you. Transforming back and forth would take too much time.>>

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
"Head towards the lifeboats, rescue operations are on their way!" Chrono yelled. The rigging was secure, soon the only person on board would be the captain. The ship was, for the most part, just drifting. Once the weather calmed, they could bring mroe crew aboard and bring it into harbor. The ship was damaged and would need repairs, but at least at this rate it wouldn't be a disaster. It--

And then the weather began to calm. It didn't go entirely calm, but calmer. That was good. The rescue ship would be easier to get to land, then.

Unfortunately, he saw a new threat approaching as the rain dampened...

Familiars. He raced to the edge of the ship and leaped off, into the air!

            <<Stinger Blade!>>

Swords of blue magic appeared around him, before flying through the air at the familiars. Fortunately, below the depths, the ship was no longer at danger of crashing into the rocks. However, the ship had lost a few engines already and was barely being kept steady in the water... and the lifeboat was going to need all the help it could get, as the familiars approached...

<< Yellow, can you work defense while I work offense? If you two can keep the lifeboat steady, I should be able to keep them from overrunning! >>

Niji Dasshu has posed:
Loyalty appears shortly thereafter, physically dragging a crew member while another one is following behind sheepishly. "Don't care what your orders were, your life is important." she says. And then of course, the rain was getting better and she was kind of going to feel a little bit like a jerk - but then Familiars and chrono's swords. "Look you remember how quick the storm came on. It may not be over and there's a lot of trouble in the city. Lifeboat, lifeboat!" she says, shoving them towards it.

<<I'm still gonna collect everyone in the lifeboat - easier to protect them.>> she advises her allies. A giggling familiar sneaks up nearby the boat, but once Loyalty hears the giggling she grabs one of the lifeboat oars and swings it hard, disintegrating the sparkly humanoid shape in a moment of measuired violence. <<I hate witches.>>

Coco Kiumi has posed:
Coco is doing her part bringing the fallen crew members into the lifeboats, the storm starting to clear making it decidedly much easier to carry everyone she found to the lifeboats. "We are about there", she reassures the one she is carrying, who luckily wasn't one for protesting when your life is being saved. <<I think we have everyone, or almost everyone>>, Coco says to the other two mahous after a quick count.

Just when things are about to turn for the better, the giggling familiars show up from the city, as if they hadn't been troublesome enough already. Coco looks at Chrono and Loyalty, who have already taken note of the new arrivals and taken appropriate measure. <<I think I can, Chrono>>, the princess asserts. Even if they are stronger, they are still familiars. Just got to be careful, she tells herself.

Starting to sing Legend of Mermaid again, she stays close to the lifeboat, letting the purifying effect be at its best there, while a Live Stage floats around the boat, ready to hit any one of them that close enough.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Bit by bit, the ship is brought to shore, plowing through the familiars. Behind them, the ship was safe for the moment. And the people were... certainly safer. They didn't seem to really register the familiars. They seemed a bit disoriented by the rainbow girl.

But they made progress. With Yellow's voice to keep them shielded, Chrono's blades to stem their tide and Loyalty to push them towards the shore, as well as stop any familiars that might manage around the other two, they were able to bring the exhausted crew to shore.

Just in time, as the tide began to shift... and then, finally, the sky parted.

Behind them, there was a crash. They could see the ship, some of its crates having fallen onto the deck. Parts of the ship damaged... but it wasn't sinking. While the ship, itself, was dead in the water and they were likely cold, wet, achy and, admittedly, pretty dirty from all the mud and waves?

The crew were alive. The ship hadn't sunk or dropped its cargo into the bay...

And the sky was parting, as Walpurgisnacht was driven back.

Chrono panted, shaking his head, as the crew started to prepare for the, well... they'd have much more work to do, yet. But here, no longer in danger, with the rescue operations starting and no loss of life to try and find? What could have been a grave incident was instead an expensive, and damaging, struggle.

"Good job," he told them. "I've got to keep looking, ensuring none of their familiars are endangering anyone else. But you two have done excellent work here today and deserve a rest. Thank you very much for your assistance," Chrono said, giving the pair of them a polite bow and a smile. "And... I'll keeop what you said in mind for the future, Loyalty, and try to give a bit more of a warning when I'm going to setup communications."

He then turned and started to take off. There was always more work to do in situations like this... Work only mages like them could do. At least, in his mind.

Niji Dasshu has posed:
Loyalty nods, actually just a liiiiittle tired from all of the running and occasional Familiar bashing. "Yeah, I think we can call this a good day's work." she agrees. "It was nice to see you again... ehhh... what was your name?" she asks, rubbing the back of her neck. "I'm so bad at this."

"And you too!" she says to the Yellow Voice. "If this were a few months ago I'd be going crazy seeing a mermaid like this but now it's gotten a bit more normal for me." she admits. "I'm Loyalty." she doesn't give the whole name. "If you ever need anything and I'm around you can always yell out. I usually work solo but I'm not antisocial." If anything, she was the opposite.

Coco Kiumi has posed:
With the danger over and the ship close enough to shore, Coco allows herself to change form again, taking her human form and pushing the rest of them to along the rest of the way together with Loyalty and Chrono, smiling at the other two at the end of their efforts.

"You know, you are not our commanding officer", Coco tells Chrono serenely despite the tense moments that have just transpired. "You should include yourself in that praise, and not just compliment us while telling us to go rest. We all have done a good work", she points out to him. And anyway, he isn't the only one with a duty to fulfill. If he has to keep people safe as a TSAB Enforcer, she has to do it as a Mermaid Princess.

"It has been nice working with you again, Loyalty", Coco says to the rainbow girl. "I am Yellow Pearl Voice, but shorten it however you like. Coco is my actual name."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown hesitated. Well, Coco was right, despite his desires to admit it. "My apologies. I... chose this line of work. But I will rest when I need it. Thank you, though."

He then glanced to Loyalty, before holding out his hand and the ID card appeared. "I am Time Space Communications Bureau Enforcer, Chrono Harlaown. It has been a pleasure working with all of you."

And with that, he flew away. Satisfied, at least, that they'd helped keep a disaster from getting worse than it had to be. He still needed to meet with Rashmi later, but... for now?

Just a few more familiars... then rest. Then so, so much rest. He just wanted to shower and collapse into his bed. Hopefully he didn't drag too much mud into the dorm room.
