Dropship Inbound 2
Date of Scene: 21 February 2024
Location: Plot Room 1
Synopsis: A fragment of a ship appears in Japanese Airspace, intercepted by (and its pilot saved) through the efforts of Hannah Steiner, Chrono Harlaown, Zephyr Windstar, Nanoha Takamachi, and Amy Faust.
Cast of Characters: Aloisia Stauss, Hannah Steiner, Chrono Harlaown, Zephyr Windstar, Amanda Faust, Nanoha Takamachi

Aloisia Stauss has posed:
An event that had been building over the past week, knowledge of its arrival not exactly surprising. Until it got closer, that is. There was clearly a magical source for whatever was happening, that ominous feeling that something was about to kick off as a streak of blue flew towards the planet! ... ...

However, and most alarming for everyone there to watch it, before the 'meteor' came into earth's orbit, it simply.

Disappeared.

Not even hitting the atmosphere. Just gone. Which, for those familiar with the whole... situation... is arguably more concerning. Especially as there was a sudden crack that seemed to appear in the sky. And what looked like a cross-shaped arrowhead suddenly appeared INSIDE of the atmosphere through a brief break in reality. The cockpit and very front of what appeared to be a 'Warscythe' class Belkan ship from the ancient Midchildan-Belkan wars. A ship that belongs mostly in a museum that was now catching the air and beginning to spin wildly as it fell to earth.

Whoever was inside was doing their best to slow down the falling arrowhead, barriers beginning to appear and break rapidly as the hunk of metal fell, trying desperately to try to save what SHOULD be a falling ship, but now is basically a glorified flying cockpit and nose.

...Well. Flying was... debatable at this point. More like 'lawndarting' rapidly towards a park in Tokyo.

Hannah Steiner has posed:
Hannah Emilia-Lina Araki-Steiner the Fourteenth just wanted some tea. She's leaned into a comfy chair in a comfy little Juban teahouse, using what little money her RHA stipend has given her to indulge in the local's lovely sense of warm drinks. Lyra is half consuming her lap, and she in turn is rubbing said feathery monstrosity's head with all signs of affection, until her Device pings her. She...ignores it. Ping. PING.

She well knows that Blauer Greif isn't the type to mentally prod her without good reason. She very nearly drops her teacup as the information flows into her brain, and she's suddenly slapping down cash amidst almost turning over the table in her taste. Stumble.

She curses in Belkan, and pulls out her phone. It might be telling that she has Chrono's number on speed dial.

"Herr Harlaown!" Starts the young woman.

"Sankt help us, we've an /ANTIQUE/ incoming, und you may wish to be present. By Her Grace, let us see to it that we can help the pilot to a hospital rather than seeing them broken into their constituant parts!" Comes the young woman, ducking into an alleyway, and transforming with a swiftness!

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown had... well... he'd noticed something was up. Apparently a meteor or some such might crash near the park, so why wouldn't he be sure he was already there? So it was likely no surprise when Hannah got the response.

<< Already there, working on it. Could use the assistance. >>

Of course he was. The moment it had appeared in the atmosphere... He'd known. Memories of the Arthra flashed through his mind. Him and the remaining crew gathered around, launching one last ditch effort spell. Trying to escape as their ship disappeared around them. Was it too late? Was this ship's crew capable of doing such?

He had no way of knowing. The ship wouldn't make it here. But the crew... they could rescue the crew.

His device activated and he pushed out the message.

<< This is an S.O.S. to all aerial mages of TSAB affiliation. There is an emergency atmospheric entry performing over Tokyo. I am unable to ascertain how many people are onboard, but I am attempting an emergency rescue. Any who feel they can assist, please do so and coordinate to my device. >>

He then took off, soaring high in the sky towards the ship. There was no telling how much of it would be there by the time he arrived. If any. He tried to connect to the systems as he went towards it, but well... there wasn't much time and connecting wasn't really an 'operable' word here.

Worse, if the crew was adult... chances were they'd soon have *no* idea what in the world they were doing. On the upside, Hannah was on her way. Her gravity magic could be useful. And, if he was correct, Nanoha was within range. Nothing like an emergency ship penetration maneuver performed via rapid and destructive application of magical lasers.

Zephyr Windstar has posed:
< Chief. Priority One alert call from Enforcer Harlaown. Requesting aerial mages to assist. >

Zephyr was just packing up at the end of her shift, and with the speed of someone very much in a hurry, she finished up, had Tenraikaze ping Chrono's Device, and in as few seconds as possible, was out of the door, in her Barrier Jacket and flying at full speed toward the provided coordinates. Purple streaked through the sky, aiming to link up with any other flying mages converging on the area.

Once she was closer, she began pinging comm frequencies. < Telepathy. > <Enforcer Harlaown, anyone else assisting, I'm enroute, ETA Right Now. Where do you need me?>

Amanda Faust has posed:
Elsewhere...
Keaka looks across the sky from high up on Obsidian tower. That's a piece of some kinda ship alright. There are probably heroes gathering now at the crash site.

If she was really a villain... well and truly trying to destroy the world...

Shouldn't she go stop them? Try to make it worse, spread the disaster even more? It would be a hell of a story. Martin hated those villains the most... and that's what someone wielding a Pure -- a World-Ender -- should be doing, right?

...But she's not sure she's ready. Would Obsidian turn on her too? Would she even accomplish anything in this war she signed up for?

    So today, she watches.

...and wonders, how is the Obsidian cafeteria coffee this bad, what the hell...

HERE:
Amy sees Hannah in the tea shop and is just walking in to say hi when Hannah is running out and transforming. She probably gets a brief summary of what's up.

She's trying to figure out what to do.

"So... if we get the crew off... is there some self-destruct we can use so it won't hit full force? Or I could try conjuring a giant rocket thruster to slow its fall, but I dunno how much magic that will use, and--"

She goes silent at the thought of what happens if she uses it all up and runs out. It would suck enough for her, but...

...It would be very, very bad for everyone else here right now, too.

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi was sitting in her room, doing homework. Homework was easy for her. While she was doing Homework, she was also doing some VR Training in her head. That's when Raising Heart pauses the lesson for the message. < I'm coming! > Nanoha Takamachi says as she transforms into her barrier jacket from the white shirt, black skirt and pink jacket into her white and blue barrier jacket, taking off through her window and into the sky----

"I'm here!" she'd announce herself, vocally, before switching to local telepathy. < So what is going on here!? > she asks as she looks up to the falling hunk of metal, with wide eyes as she blinks rapidly.

"...Gosh." she says!

Aloisia Stauss has posed:
Connecting to the 'Warscythe' was ... mostly ineffective. The only thing seeming to function on it being a repeating 'SOS' signal that was wiped of all actual identifying information, simply repeating what sounded almost like a gltiched emergency signal when connected to.

<<THIS IS *static* OF *static*. MAYDAY. MAYDAY.>>

A message on repeat over and over.

At first, that is, that's all that was connected to. The ship's systems suddenly going silent as one of the wings seems to shear off out of nowhere, gone like much of the rest of the ship, not a fragment falling off towards the ground, but simply gone. Cut cleanly as if a giant sword had sliced through it.

A pair of dual connections would follow to all nearby devices to repeat the following in both belkan and midchildan:

<<WARNUNG: ZEIT-RAUM-ANOMALIE ERKANNT. NICHT NAHERN. GEFAHR.>>
<<Alert: Time-Space Anomaly Detected. Do not approach. Danger.>>

'Gosh' indeed.

Under the warscythe, a large Belkan-style magical circle appeared along the 'bottom' of the ship, the spinning beginning to slow slightly, a series of barriers beginning to appear along the ship only to almost immediately break shortly after. ...Just enough that, maybe, people could more easily get close to begin efforts to evacuate the crew.

Meanwhile, inside of the cockpit, strapped in, Aloisia Stauss was trying everything she could think of as alarms blare to try to get some semblance of the systems back online. "Crap crap crap crap come on... come on... gravity control... backup thrusters... come on... anything..."

Of course. Nothing was responding. At this point, even staying on the ship was likely pure pride at this point.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
<< Nanoha, I need you to unleash blast at this *exact* location and angle at this exact second. I'm sending the calculations to your device. You need to not hold back, I know this is a lot but I need you to blow a hole clear through the vessel. >>

<< Hannah, when you arrive, I need your gravity magic to work to stabilize the vessel. >>

<< Zephyr, I need you to work on approaching and use your wind magic to assist Hannah in stabilizing the vessel. Don't do either until after Nanoha's blast, we can't mess up the shot. Zephyr, depending on the number of passengers, you may need to come in after me.>>

<< Nanoha, ready a second blast after the first, hopefully we'll be able to use the first hole but, well... I may need you to make an exit as well. If there's anyone else without a device, please link them into the device. Once we rescue the passengers there's no telling how much of the vessel will be falling and our priority is ensuring that nobody is here. Coordinates sent, syncronizing devices now! >>

Some might say that he was putting a bit too much pressure on a 'little girl'.

Chrono would say maybe this world shouldn't have strapped so many warship class linker cores onto little girls if it didn't want him to have to depend on them.

Now, well, he just had to hope that Nanoha's aim and power was everything her readings and logs said it was... Well. She handled fate. This was *just* a ship... Entering through a hole would be rough... but he trusted them. And the moment Nanoha's blast went off, he'd be on the move... Disappearing in a blue arrow and zipping towards the new 'entrance'.

            <<Stinger Move!>>

Hannah Steiner has posed:
"On mein way!" Are the simple words she offers to the young officer opposite of her government, her heart rising a bit for his often irritating attention to duty. This is exactly where a young man like him is useful, and she well knows her own talents may be of vital use. Hands stretch out, and purple-black orbs surround her.

<Fluss: Mondgriff>

Dragged past magnetic to magnetic piece of steel along the Tokyo skyline, Hannah imitates the flow of the Moon, hair and her beloved Lyra clinging to her back as she converges with the others making way to the probable impact point! She then lets out a telepathic ping!

<Guten Aben! Und while I am uncertain why anyone would haul a /Warscythe/ out of a museum, let us see if we can preserve the pilot if naught the ship in question for posterity!> Comes the Countess to her fellow Device wielders, her words far more hopeful than the set of her jaw, or how she's holding up a free hand.

Hannah is absolutely happy to have Amy aside her, but her jaw doesn't exactly relax.

"It is an Assault Class fighter, mein Liebling! Usually one, or two pilots at most..." Comes the young woman.

A sigh. "I wish I could tell you! Your little backwater so loves to toss the proverbial 'Screwdriver in the Kolbens' as it were! ...Get ready for anything. Preferably the every that includes catching a fellow fool." Comes Hannah with a frown, drawing her blade even as she tosses her hair over one shoulder.

She and her Uncle had made similar, if more moneyed, entries unto the world for Chrono to curse after all!

And there's a Nano! Teeth grit! <Nein better words could I claim, frau Takamachi! Let us pray we have a chance here!> Comes Hannah even as she gathers all the magic she has in her!

"Und you mean that I shall just grip a half-broken shell of a starship into place!?" Comes Hannah with a vague laugh!

She tosses both blade and sheath into the air, and a single hand reaches out, as she finally lands upon the expected landing point.

<Fluss: Aufhellen>

<Sankt Bless All!>

And then a massive gravity well arises before the young woman, trying to steer the starship towards vague safety!

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi is asked to blow a hole through a ship and her eyes sparkle. < Really! Alright. I was juuuust practicing my targeting before I came here. > she says as she sets up. Yuuno, climbs up around from her back, where he was clinging and watches this with some awe.

Nanoha aims Raising Heart Upwards, falling into bombardment mode when she aims down the 'sights' of the staff, upwards towards the falling ship.... and in combination with Raising Hearts targeting magic, narrows her eyes.

She then calls out. "DIVINE..." < DIVINE!... >

<....BUSTER!> < ...BUSTER! > goes Raising Heart as a massive lance of energy .... lances out towards the chunk of ship, sending targeting data to the group, so they know where exactly that hole should be when her energy lance connects.

She then shakes off the blast as she does as asked, just steadying herself, readying herself for another powerful lance of energy!

Zephyr Windstar has posed:
<Got it.> replies Zephyr simply. She shifts her approach, diving underneath the falling ship fragment and shifting her Device form. < Mode Change. Maelstrom Mode. Storm Bits cycling. > intones the Device. < Area Dispersal. Maelstrom Storm Field. > She deploys a spell seal to stand on, as the trio of turbine fan-like Bits circle out to a good few meters around her, creating a zone of wind control within their radius.

She waits for Nanoha's beam shot, then with her Device pointed straight up at the falling metal. "FLOW BURST!" < Maelstrom Burst. Flowing Shift! >. The wind charges fully with little wisps of purple mana, then begins to blow directly up at the falling ship, first a breeze, then ramping up to becoming a gale to arrest the giant chunk of metal designed to punch through battleship.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy clings to Hannah and Lyra for transport. Calling a rocket she can ride is magically expensive! "A fighter, huh...?" Amy looks up at the falling ship, imagining it like an Arwing, or a Valkyrie in aerospace mode, or the fighter craft from the Last Starfighter.

She feels like the Last Starfighter a lot, except she ended up in a different genre...

"Do what you can. Let me know if you need extra thrust you think I can actually provide..."

Aloisia Stauss has posed:
It wasn't unheard of Warscythes to be trophy ships for nobles who had been related to people from that war, though that didn't change the fact that it honestly belonged in a museum, absolutely antiquated compared to any modern ship, which is part of why it took so long for it to arrive.

One or two pilots, plus up to a crew of 8, usually for boarding actions. But the spell signatures coming from the ship implied it probably only had two crew members that were working in concert to try to stop the ship itself as well. And then...

Hannah was coming in with a gravity well to work on stopping the ship and help guide it to safety! Crack. Crack. A lot of the strength of the Warscythe was in its hardened shield, which was currently off, leaving the fins of the ship relatively brittle in its wake, the gravity well doing its job; while also starting to deform the ship ever so slightly.

<<MEISTER, EINGEHENDER ANGRIFFE.>>
"What?!"
BOOM.

Divine Buster strikes the ship at the targeted location, the massive beam slicing a hole through the ship as Aloisia Stauss was now starting to frantically unstrap herself in. It was better to be thrown around than be trapped in a useless hunk of metal with incoming attacks! "Doppelwand!" <<WALL MODE.>>

Just in time she got her shields ready as another burst of air suddenly stabilizes Aloisia, throwing her against a wall inside of the cockpit one of the shields of her device absorbing the blow.

And then there was a bolt of a person boarding her ship. Were they here to salvage?! Did they think she was attacking? ... ...

Of course they'd think she was attacking. She looked like a giant arrowhead.

<<VOKAL BOOST>>

A voice comes ringing out, magically boosted by the device as the heavily accented voice rings out in midchildan; luckily Close Enough to japanese to be understandable by the non-device users there.

"PEOPLE OF --" Pause. Quieter. "What is the name of this planet?" <<TERRA>> <<EARTH.>> "What why would they name their pla-- irrelevant. PEOPLE OF TERROR EARTH. MY NAME IS ALOISIA STAUSS. I COME IN PEACE. PLEASE CEASE ATTACKS ON THIS VESSEL." Well at least it's the only one person to save probably?

Hannah Steiner has posed:
Hannah's heart skips a beat, only for her to suck in a breath. Nanoha's laser has her hair fluttering, and soon Zephyr follows up with her flow of wind that has the young noble's clothes flapping in the wind!

Hannah clings to Amy tightly, even as her Device lets out an Area Search! She leeans just a little bit against Amy!

"...Just hold me. Und if I fail? Live. Tell frau Tsukino I love her thick as blood, ja?" Comes Hannah warmly, before suddenly shoving Amy away from her.

Hannah Steiner suddenly finds her jaw struggling to move. 'Stauss' hits her brain like a comet, and as that young woman deigns to beg peace?

Her Linker Core sizzles actively as she redoubles the gravitic cushion to keep Aloe alive even as she bites her lip!

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Many of those same people who objected to the pressure put on a 'little girl' would also likely object to how easily she perforated the hull of a vessel designed for interstellar battles.

To which he would say 'Welcome to earth, first day?' He was just grateful the BS was on HIS side this time.

Everything went off without a hitch. His boots landed and... The ship was spinning, but he locked in place, a hand reaching out to grab the wall. His device was already scanning and... Only one person. With a device. Good. << Nanoha, new coordinates sent, fire on Three! >>

He shoved off the wall, a hand gripping the seat, one hand wrapping around her shoulder. "You're going to be okay, don't move. This is a rescue operation. Close your eyes."

            <<Stinger Blade!>>

A single blade would appear and spin, cleaving through any straps that still held her.

<< Two >>

And, despite the fact he was *incredibly* small, he moved with precision, the hands and speed of a soldier who, while he hadn't done this a thousand times... had trained in HOW to do it. He wrapped his arms around her and she could *feel* the rush of magic. His, working to reinforce and shield *her*.

<< NOW! >>

And then there would likely be nothing but blinding light, assuming Nanoha hit her mark. And assuming it worked? He'd then launch himself off, taking her with him.

<< Only one passenger, ship is empty, make sure it doesn't hit anything on the way down! >>

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi is just hovering there, charging energy, with Yuuno on her shoulder as he whistles a little. Nanoha Takamachi gets ready when Chrono sends her new orders.

'One'..

"Okay...okay....steady...."

'Two'

She looks down the sights again and targets where Chrono has designated, adjusting more forward this time.

'Three!'

"DIVINE BUSTER!" calls out Nanoha, again, as the lance of energy flies out again, crashing into the spot Chrono designates.

She then sort of flutters a moment in mid air because two Divine Busters in a row sure takes a lot out of you. It'll be a snack night for sure.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    DIVINE.... BUSTER!

Amy stares, eyes wide, at the small girl firing a beam of energy that could compete with every ridiculous DBZ attack she thought was cool as a teenager. Her long hair and cloak and skirt flutter in the wind. Why can't she do attacks like that?

...Considering the capacity of her soul gem, and the attacks she's done so far, she probably can. But she'd have to be desperate to spend enough magic...

Hannah hugs her. Amy leans into the hug. At the directive to hold her, she starts to wrap her hands around the taller girl... who suddenly shoves her away, making her stumble and fall. She reaches a hand out as she stands and runs back to Hannah "No! I need you!"

Once closer she adds, more quietly, "C'mon. You know I can't f---in' die." She can launch her soul gem clear if it comes to it. "I'll make rocket thrusters if I have to."

And she stands at Hannah's side and looks up expectantly.

Zephyr Windstar has posed:
Zephyr maintains the flow of wind, right until Chrono calls for the ship to not hit anything on the way down. She pivots then, letting the spell petter out on its own, which leaves the ship being only held and manipulated by Hannah's gravity well.

The wind mage takes a different tack. As the Divine Buster hits, and the ship starts to break up, she pulls her Bits in close and starts tracking targets. "Alright Dee... lets see if we can't do something about these fragments." < Right Chief... Maelstrom Buster Split Shift >

The bits draw in around the head of the Device, and begin to spin around it as she braces. Purple mana forms into a sphere just above the gemstone. It grows until the bits spread out and the sphere becomes a beam. This beam then splits as the bits take over guidance, leanding the purple beam fragments into their targets. Three beams, three pieces of broken ship.

Aloisia Stauss has posed:
Stauss. A smaller name than perhaps some. A noble house. The name of a soldier who had always been loyal to Otto, a former war hero. At least, as much as one could be in a battle they were lost. With the continued efforts to stabilize it, most of the spinning of the ship had stopped, which made it all the more easy.

As Chrono showed up to cut Aloisia out of her seat, right before she had freed herself. "...Hell of a way to rescue someone." Responds the teen. In spite of being larger than Chrono and being made mostly of muscle-- she was actually fairly light, which helped with the holding thing. In fact about all she had left at this point was muscle, skin, and bones. Signs of malnourishment. She wasn't honestly in a good state, in spite of her best efforts.

And then there was a shield being put up around her and Chrono. A brief examination.

<<UNBESWINGBARE>> <<MAUER.>>

With the dual ping of Aloisia's twin devices, another wall of overlaid magic surrounded the two, a triangle of extreme defense to reinforce against whatever was about to happen.

Just to be safe.

And she was glad to have done it from the fact she was just ENGULFED in the blinding light of a befriending beam.

Luckily, befriending beams were VERY GOOD at destroying things, and the ship -- relatively small, more of a large fighter craft than full blown warship -- began to break apart, resulting in several parts beginning to fall from the sky. The main chunk falling towards that gravity 'cushion' and slowed down as ... it started to disappear, much like that wing before. Crumpling in on itself and simply... disappearing before it even became a true threat.

There were still several large chunks falling, many of which beginning to immediately be shot down by the Maelstrom Buster, being shredded into fragments of steel and crystal.

Meanwhile, Aloisia was looking towards Chrono. The look on her face... mixed.

He saved her.

... But also she just got blasted by a giant beam. Even if they were both shielded.

But they were shielded. And defending their planet.

She'll hold judgement. For now.

Zephyr Windstar has posed:
Zephyr is spent, much like Nanoha, firing off multiple big spells like that in a row is exhausting. She dismisses the Bits, her Device following suit a moment later as it turns back into its medal/coin form and slots into the bracer on her right forearm.

She flows slowly over to Nanoha, offering a candy bar from one of the local sweet shops to the little auburn-haired artillery piece. "Here, I've got a whole bags worth... that was some nice shooting back there... you'd have impressed the instructors at the Enforcer academy."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown let out a sigh of relief. He glanced down at the... slowly descending rubble. He then looked to her. "Welcome to Earth," Chrono said. "You're going to experience a lot of very, very strange things in the next few... yes. This planet doesn't follow any of the known rules or laws of reality and is, in many ways, apparently an entirely massive lost logia."

"But the food is good."

Meanwhile, he started to, gently, drift down towards the ground. One arm still around her, the other repositioned and... "If you feel confident in your ability to fly and support yourself, let me know. Until then, I'll support you. I am Time Space Administration Bureau Enforcer, Chrono Harlaown. There are a few other members of the TSAB as well as Interim TSAB soldiers..." He of course flashed his holographic TSAB ID. Assuming she didn't object, he'd be able to land and... oh... Hannah looked exhausted. Actually, they all did. He...

He was still in soldier mode and, admittedly? He hadn't really had to do shit but trust them. All in all, pretty beneficial from where he stood.

"I know all of this must be a shock and you're likely exhausted. So... would you rather have something to eat or somewhere to rest while you recover your thoughts?" He'd also wave to Zephyr and Nanoha as he got closer to the ground. And add Amy to the telepoathy communication. << The pilot seems okay. A device user, she's safe. Likely a bit shaken up but... we should probably get her somewhere to rest after that. >>

Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi meets up with Chrono--- but only have looking at Zephyr and squinting a bit, before taking the chocolate bar. Does she know this girl? She doesn't know. Still. She says. "Thank you. Y-yeah that took a lot out of me." she says, assumng Zephyr follows along down to where Chrono is.

She gives a wave and then smiles. "Hello. I'm... Nanoha Takamachi!" she says as she lowers Raising Heart to her side.

"Gosh! I don't know where a safe place to rest is. If you can turn into a Ferret you can come with me though, my mom loves Yuuno already, two would be even better." she says with wide eyes.

Amanda Faust has posed:
There is no threat of death after all, but... it seems catching the ship with her gravity was too much for Hannah. She passes out, and Amy prepares to do... something to the falling cockpit-section, but then it vanishes and a girl lands by them instead. With no more immediate danger, she kneels by the princess's side. "Hannah. Hannah!" She checks for breathing. If Chrono or someone explains that magic exhaustion can do this, she relaxes. "Still, we should get her to Nurse Meiou."

But, if Hannah's not in danger, they can spare a moment to talk to and orient the newcomer. Amy stands and looks her over. Another tall space woman...

<< Yeah, resting is good. >> She's used telepathy with Kyubey before, so this isn't unfamiliar. "It must be rough, your whole life's been turned upside down, huh? Welcome to Earth, I'm-- call me Red for now." She holds out a hand to shake.

And then Nanoha just casually talks about people turning into ferrets and her head whips to look at the little girl. "What?" She looks between the Device-users. "...Is that a thing?!"

Aloisia Stauss has posed:
A week of alerts and errors and trying to avoid the inevitable. In spite of being the one who had done the least in the moments leading up to this; Aloisia Stauss was also exhausted in a way. Beyond trying to slow down or stop the ship, and just... sleep deprivation.

But she wasn't going to let herself show weakness in front of these people. She was a belkan warrior, after all. "...A massive lost logia? ... I don't think Ancient Belka made anything *this* big." Aloisia says incredulously. As if Ancient Belka was the only thing that made Lost Logia.

...Okay it made a lot of them.

But not /all/ of them.

"I am confident in my ability to fly." She glances down at... well. They couldn't call it remains anymore. Fragments? Fragments of her ship. Nothing of use left of it, really. "...Not that anymore." She adds.

TSAB Enforcer. There were moments of internal panic. This is an enemy. But she wasn't in a state to fight right now.

Once on the ground, though, she would step away almost immediately. It was almost reflexive, more than defensive. Those two giant shields that she wielded held at a relatively nonaggressive stance.

An oddity that would likely be easily noted: Not two parts of a single device, but two devices linked together.

Frankly, they look exhausting.

The small girl waving at her is given a polite half bow from Aloisia. "...As I said previously, I am Aloisia Stauss. Nein, I cannot turn into... whatever... a ferret is."

A glance towards Hannah.

Whatever she was thinking seems to pass as she simply looks away again. Now was not the time. "My whole life was turned upside-down before I came here." She says, her lips pressing to a thin line. "It's been awful."

"But that is not your problem."

Yet.

"Food sounds nice, however. I have been surviving off of rations for the past..." She pauses. Glancing at her device. "...Almost two years, I think? The days blend together in space."

Pause. "...I do not have any money left, however."

Zephyr Windstar has posed:
"Zephyr. Zephyr Windstar." says the wind mage by way of introduction.

She looks to Amy's reaction. "It's mostly Familiars that can do that." she tries to explain, as she pulls another candy bar out of her Device's storage space, and munches on it after peeling the wrapper.

She'll offer candy to the others, whether they take it or not is on them. "Either way, Miss Stauss. Welcome to Earth."

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Two Years?!

Amy looks alarmed, but glances at Chrono. "How many Earth Years are your Space Years?" she asks, completely seriously.

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown would let the girl go, once they landed. And he cocked an eye slightly when she stepped away. Still, he gave her that relaxed, casual smile. One meant to sooth the nerves. "You'll find... this world is a bit... upside down as well. In many ways. Perhaps something light, then. Don't worry about the money. This planet isn't interstellar, our money is literally no good here," he said with a light chuckle.

"Take your time, we'll be here to answer any questions you have." He sent his contact information to her device.

He then gave a soft sigh. "As for a place to rest... I'll see about setting you up in one of this planet's hotels for a few days. While we get you sorted. The important thing to know, currently, is that this planet is, more or less, cut off from the rest of TSAB space. You're not alone. Magic here... is... non-functional, for many people. You'll have a *lot* of questions, but don't rush into them. Better to slowly absorb the information, rather than focusing on absorbing everything at once. Trust me. You'll go mad if you try. Just... to most people on this world? Magic isn't real. Even if you show it to them."

He then glanced to Amy. "It depends on what planet you're on."

Then glanced back to Aloisia. "Would you like something salty, sweet, bitter, savory or sour?" he asked. "We'll start off with that, get you settled and let the... shock... of this... wear off," he said.

"Nanoha-chan is an interim mage of the TSAB, while Zephyr is an enforcer like myself. Red isn't officially part of the TSAB, but she is an ally. And..." He glanced to Hannah. "She'll... I'll allow her to introduce herself to you later. As a fellow belkan, she'd likely never forgive me if I didn't allow her to give you a full, proper belkan introduction. She... did over exert herself a lot to help make sure we could get you out of there alive."

Amanda Faust has posed:
It depends on what planet you're on.

Amy considers this. "...But she said she's been stuck on a ship for two years. She wasn't on a planet. How long are ship years?"

She nods about the importance of a proper Belkan introduction to Hannah.

"There's a lot to explain. For some reason, most people, especially adults, can't sense or use magic. Something is messed up here. After all, your other planets aren't attacked by Witch--"

The word dies in her throat as the mental context of telling Chrono her theory about Witches as extradimensional invaders is updated with the truth.

"--o-or or other things. I would quite like to see the wondrous society you come from some day. But uh... we're dealing with a lot here. We'll explain as we go."

Aloisia Stauss has posed:
The sight of the candy bars is causing a bit of a sour look on Aloisia's face. Oh no hopefully that's not what they consider food.

She was on a planet. People on planets don't eat compressed emergency rations do they?!

Also they were all saying 'welcome to earth'. "...Ah. I see. It's just Earth. Not Terror Earth. That makes more sense."

Pause.

Did she care to share any information?

No, better not to. She didn't know how much these people were a threat to her yet. Or how much of her reputation may have spread across the stars.

Talking about getting her set up. And food. And being cut off from the rest of TSAB space. "..." Magic is nonfunctional for many people. Strange. "Mm. That is a lot to take in, you are not incorrect." It wouldn't hurt to take advantage of the TSAB hospitality, even if they were something awful, she knew they also didn't tend to treat their prisoners poorly generally.

Aloisia reaches into her dimensional storage to pull out the compressed synthetic protein survival bar to hold it out towards Chrono. "My diet has been largely these. I would like something the complete opposite of this, but still light. Anything too elaborate will probably cause shock to my body." If Chrono makes the mistake of trying it -- if he wasn't just immediately familiar with them, since they were fairly standard emergency rations -- it is the most bland thing ever, designed to not be very messy in space and be the sheer definition of sustenance. No wonder she was basically skin and bones.

Talk of the others gets a small half-bow towards each, unfamiliarity likely leading to the ever so slightly guarded sense she was giving.

Hannah gets a bit of a look. "...I am sure that we have much to talk about. When both of us are in better shape."

Wondrous society. Aloisia turns fully towards Amy. And just. She starts to laugh. "Oh! Oh. That is funny." She says, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. "I grew up in a mining operation within Steiner space. It was not wondrous, but it was pleasant in its own way. And we had pride in the fact we mined the crystals that were the core of many modern Devices." She says, giving a soft smile, one of reminiscence.

With a tinge of bitterness that crept in as she continued to think.

She can never go back there.

Not that there was anything to go back to.

"...I have not slept well in a week. Food and rest sounds best."

Chrono Harlaown has posed:
Chrono Harlaown blinked. And took the bar. And then stared at it. And then looked to her. Then back to the bar. "Oh by the stars, you poor, poor child." ... Considering he barely came up to her chest, being called a 'child' might rub the wrong way. But she was a civilian.

"It depends on what her planet's orbit was. Although, the TSAB year isn't that far off from earth's. Strangly enough."

He'd then take the candy bar from Zephyr... paused. Then broke it into fourths. "Here. Try this," he offered. "It might be a bit much. But trust me. I know *exactly* where to take you. I'll take her to the korma. Nano-chan, Zephyr-san," he said, glancing to the two. "You have both expended a lot of your mana. Feel free to recover, thank you for your assistance."

Then glanced to Amy. "I'll make sure she gets her feet on the ground." He gave her a little wink. "Help our sleeping belkan get some rest, okay? I'm sure she'll be absolutely excited to give Stauss-san a proper greeting as soon as she's fit." He offered a hand to Aloisia. "If you'd come with me? I know *just* the place to get you a proper meal. And if you feel up to it, the rest of the candy bar. Though... it might... be a bit intense if you've been living on... these... bricks... for a while..."

... Two years. He wondered if that constituted a war crime? Rashmi would probably consider it as such.

Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy looks at the food rations. "...There's stuff like that, but like... Maybe pancakes or muffins or something? Define 'light'." She tries to remember what, if any, protocol there is for feeding a starving person. She knows someone thirtsy shouldn't drink too much at once. "I mean. We could get you some crackers if you need something really light. And ginger ale to settle your stomach as you try more things. Toast or rice or something's probably fine too, right?"

This girl is from Steiner space?! "Maybe it isn't much to you, but remember, I'm from a world where a crewed spaceship hasn't gone further than our moon in half a century, and we don't have magic aside from... well, stuff you'll find out about. But, Steiner space, huh? What's... what's that like, compared to other space? Is it good?"

Aloisia Stauss has posed:
'You poor child'. Yes, yes that DID irk Aloisia a little. The smile she'd had becoming ever so slightly more strained at that, especially since Chrono looked younger than her and was absolutely tiny. Still, the offered piece of candy gets a bit of a dubious look. But she does eventually stick a tiny piece of it into her mouth.

And then the rest of it.

Was she crying?

...Maybe a little.

"Most of steiner space converted to TSAB space-time due to indoctrination into their ways." She comments after a while.

Talk of where to go gets a small nod from Aloisia. Right, going with the TSAB would probably be fine for now. Since he was cut off from the main TSAB, knowledge of her likely hadn't gotten to him. Which is good.

Paaaause. "These bars are incredibly calorie-dense, designed to sustain people in emergency situations. They are also incredibly cheap, which meant that they were easier to barter"

Steal

"From others."

Without them caring much.

...Nevermind she probably could have just claimed she'd been in an emergency but after she raided someone the first time she was stuck in that feeling of not being able to turn back now.

Questions of how things are in Steiner Space gets a small frown. "I do not know how they are now. When I left, things were in chaos in the wake of the coup. Pockets of resistance following its failure were fighting fiercely. Mein own parents fell victim to them, and I would have too if my parent had not shoved me in that ship and sent me off." She takes a deep breath.

"...So I do not have much to say of if it is good or not. And would rather not talk much on the matter."

She looks towards Chrono. "Let us go."
