Long ago in antiquity, Nephrite served the Prince of Earth, Endymion, as a Guardian Knight from the Golden Kingdom. Famed for his fierce loyalty, he exceled in gathering intelligence, offering sound advisory and aiding in diplomatic matters. He was also known to be a comfort and trusted confidant to Endymion and indeed, those he called friends. Reborn as Masato Sanjouin, he now wrestles with both the mercurial memories of his ancient past, and his corruption at the hands of dark Queens, Beryl and Metallia. Having deeply betrayed his Oaths and his cause in the past, deceived and used by his enemies, he now struggles to reconcile his various selves. The knowledge of himself as a Human, a Knight, and an Agent of Darkness swirl within his chest alongside the ache of a long lost love, and his honour. Though struggling with these many pieces of himself, Masato will stop at nothing to achieve his balance, and find a way to make up for the shortcomings of the past.
