| Synopsis: | Miho goes to the infirmary. Setsuna is there! |
| Cast of Characters: | Setsuna Meiou, Miho Inada |
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Generally, the school infirmary is a fairly small office for the nurse and some equipment. At least, that's how it is in most schools. Given the budget Radiant Heart boasts, however, the Infirmary here is a bit bigger and more well appointed than most. There are several beds (which are currently not in use) and to an eye familiar with the medical world, there's enough well-laid-out kit that it's quite likely that, in extremis, one could actually do surgery here.
Still, most of the room is broken up with little rolling-wall medical dividers, with the bulk of the area set up for the kind of service one would need for a typical average assortment of students. Reasonably nice chairs, little triage areas, that kind of thing. The walls have various posters one might see in a doctor's office, though most of them are a bit more aimed at student-level things like common adolescent illnesses and the like. One particular poster, however, probably catches the eye:
It's a black poster with a picture of a skeleton on it, and the text reads 'The Average Human Body Contains Enough BONES' 'To Make An Entire Human Skeleton'
Leaning against a counter in her signature labcoat/dress is Nurse Meiou, who is passing the time as she waits for a reluctant student to show up as she usually does by reading a book whilst idly spinning a pen through the fingers of her off hand. Said book has a back cover with a tall, scruffy looking man wearing a trenchcoat while holding a staff in one hand and a rather huge revolver in the other.
- Miho Inada has posed:
Miho has been very reluctant about showing up to the nurse's office. One of the reasons just being that she's nervious about what the Nurse would say. She takes a deep breath before walking into the office, and looks around. This...isn't an office. This is closer to an Emergency room. She blinks a few times looking around. Her father had taught her a little bit about medical practices, mostly cause most MMA fighters tend to tear their bodies apart.
The young woman looks at the nurse a little bit as she breathes out. "Ummm, Is Nurse Meiou in? Amy and Hinote said that I should...speak with her.", she asks. The woman kinda rubs her hands a little bit. "I mean, they said something about knowing a little bit about my condition?", Miho says. The young woman isn't sure how much she should say, not knowing very many people.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
As Miho steps into the Infirmary, the Nurse glances up to her, and calls out, "Ah, Miss Inada. Please, enter freely and of your own will."
The pen she's been spinning in her fingers comes to a halt...and with a slight twisting gesture of her wrist, the pen disappears...only to be replaced moments later by what seems to be a piece of absolute nothingness.
It's about the length of her hand, and it looks like nothing less than a hole in the fabric of reality that the Nurse has in her fingers. She shifts said fingers sligtly...and the hole in space changes size...somewhat widening a little...and suddenly revealing what looks like a golden capital P crossed with a capital L hovering in the center of the...void...which Nurse Meiou then uses...to mark her place in her book.
Said book is snapped shut (revealing it's title as 'PEACE TALKS' in large English lettering), and subsequently set aside on the counter, "Please, dear. Come in and have a seat."
A hand is waved to one of the chairs, "Now, you said Miss Faust recommended that you come see me?"
- Miho Inada has posed:
Miho gets a little nervious, and nods her head. "Yes.", she says. She walks over to one of the chairs, and then looks at the book. She blinks a bit. "Is that one of the newer Dresden Files?", she asks. The woman blinks a little bit. Miho takes in a deep breath as she looks at the book. "I had heard that there were newer books? Is that before or after Battlegrounds?", she asks. The woman shakes her head a little bit as she sucks in a breath. She sits down.
"I have been having headaches, and well, odd dreams.", she admits to. Miho takes a moment to pull out a pill bottle, and hands it over to Setsuna. "Hinote said something about the date on script, a certain event happen, and thats when I started getting the headaches.", she tells. The date on the bottle...Its around the time of Paris. "And...that was magic, wasn't it? But not fire or water...", she asks. "I'm...still learning this stuff."
The girl takes a moment to adjust her school uniform a bit. "She had mentioned that its safe to discuss magic stuff with you, and to ask you about my headaches. Like how I'm able to sense youma, almost by instinct.", she says. The woman rubs the magatama hairpin in her hair. Right now its green with a slight blue-ish tint. It seems to be a nervious thing that Miho does to calm herself, rubbing that pin.
- Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Nurse Meiou glances over at her book when Miho properly identifies which series it's from and smiles, "This is the book just before Battle Ground...the one after it's a bit overdue, given that this and Battle Ground were both published about four years ago now."
She frowns slightly at authorial delays, then shakes her head and looks back over at the younger woman, "And if you're referring to my bookmark...to be fair, no. It actually ISN'T magic. It's actually a perfectly mundane thing...but it's there so that those who DO know about magic can feel a bit more relaxed talking about it...and if anyone who doesn't know about magic sees it, I can show them it's something actually mundane."
She takes the bottle and absently checks both the date and the drug in question, "...well, Mister Kagari is correct...an event of rather major magical significance DID happen right around this date."
Sitting down near the younger woman, Nurse Meiou asks, "...and what kind of odd dreams? Prophetic ones?"
- Miho Inada has posed:
The script itself is just prescription strength aspirin meant for dealing with stress headaches. Its nothing too fancy, but probably a rather common script for Setsuna to have seen. "I'm not too sure if the two are connected, but thats when I started having the headaches. As for the dreams, I'm surrounded by snow. I see a woman saying something that I can't hear before I'm buried in the snow. As I start to move about, I feel...extremely cold walls, but everything is black. I can't tell if they're walls, or something else.", she tells. The woman bites her lip. "And about...a week ago, my friends and I were trying to get back to Campus, but were attacked by a Youma.", she tells.
Miho breathes out a little bit. "A guy in a trench coat, and a girl with a demon claw and kimono managed to save us, but the pain of the headache was so bad that I ended up passing out.", she tells. "But since then, the dreams are feeling...more intense. Like the storms in my dreams are getting more and more intense. And sometimes, I find that water I'm about to drink has turned to ice.", she tells.
