- Norie Okana has posed:
Somewhere, in the Public Library, someone reads about Cooking. He doesn't wanna cook. He hates cooking. But... his father wants him to inherit the family business. A noodle restaurant. He wants to be..be a .. well he isn't sure. But he doesn't want to cook. He's so bad at it. But his father looks so disappointed, every time he brings the subject up...
He looked up to face the tap of the cane against his shoulder a moment from behind. "Eh...?"
Soon, there was a massive, clockwork machine taking up the majority of the library, chewing up books and spitting out...
Noodle Bowls? And not even good kind. They we're wrapped and...and instant.
"Ha. I'll win the day yet." said a handsomely well dressed young man who seemed to be around sixteen or seventeen. He had green hair, under a bowler hat and wore a brown suit with a white undershirt and a cane.
"Books into delicious instant foods!" he said.
(Was that a caricature of him on the package? It was!)

- Yuuto Shiraishi has posed:
In another part of the library, Yuuto Shirashi is nose deep in a stack of books. Some of them are on sculpting, some are on underwater legends, apparently doing his research on a new project. That is until suddenly there's a small clockwork fairy that comes about in front of his face.
The clockwork creature is small and rotound with wings too small for it's body, wearing coveralls and carrying a large wrench. "Gadgets and Gizmos!" Tinker declares to try to get a hold of Yuuto's attention. "There's trouble nearby!"
Yuuto blinks a few times as he closes his book, glancing at his watch for the first time and he frowns. "What is it, Tinker?"
"It's Dark General Craft! That means he's probably trying to forge a new Cog! We need to hurry up and defeat him!" Tinker is all encouragement and go get 'em, but Yuuto doesn't seem too terribly sure. "Did you say Dark General?" A deep breath. "I think we're going to need help, Tinker."
"Have faith, Yuuto! I have a feelin' that tonight is the night we find new allies! Now let's get to it!"
Setting aside his book, Yuuto moves towards a quiet corner of the library, glancing around and looking at his watch/henshin device. "Alright..." he manages, and nods with firm conviction. "Let's do this! Steam Sentinel Propel!, Evil's Time IS UP!!" Slapping the small plunger on the side of his watch, the henshin device activates, transforming Yuuto Shirashi in an intricate dance of clockwork gears and steam as he transfomrers into the Steam Sentinel Propel!
- Kaori Jira has posed:
A library was meant to be a place where one could find knowledge, human knowledge...still, last time she was here despite frustrations and discussions about kissing frogs she ended up meeting friendly and sympathetic people to her condition. Maybe she was hoping for more of that now because she was back, moving into the space.
The dark-haired taller girl in jeans and a jacket around her form stepped through, looking around the space at the mystery of where she'd start.
Or at least this was the plan until there was a moment to pause, a little sniff taken and a tilt of her head. Something wasn't quite right...
Then there was the flare of magic atop that feeling and Kaori discarded the first book she'd picked up, moving further in towards the clockwork chaos.
- Ren Morimoto has posed:
Anyone who knew Ren before the holiday break started would probably be shocked to see him at the library. He's not, shall we say, known for being the most studious person ever. But he's actively trying to be better, which is evidenced by the selection of self-help books he has scattered around himself at his chosen table.
That, and a notebook. He's taking notes, because just the thought of bringing any of these home for his father to see makes him cringe. And then he panics a little, eyes furtively darting back and forth to see if anyone noticed him making weird faces at nothing.
Maybe he could find somewhere else to study. Somewhere private, that wasn't home. He could always just bring the books back before closing, and repeat the process tomorrow.
Of course, the stuffed ginger cat plush that he's been alternating between using as an arm-rest and a pillow (depending on how morose he was feeling, in the moment) comes to life, wriggling out from underneath him to flail right in Ren's face. It's a lot, all at once, and so Ren starts to flail too, his body weight shifting backwards until his chair rocks onto its two back legs and he tips over with a crash onto the ground.
"I feel dark energy somewhere nearby!" the plush cat says hurriedly, its form now transparent and less distinct as it floats, unseen to most eyes, above where Ren lays sprawled on the ground. "Get up! What are you doing on the floor?!"
Ren groans. "I dunno, Umeboshi, what am I doing on the floor," he mutters, a note of plaintive despair in his voice. But he promised he'd be better about this, about his duties as a Culinary Guardian, so he pushes himself up onto his hands and knees and glances around to see if anyone's noticed him again, but this time for an entirely different reason. Soon enough he's jumped up onto his feet and pushed himself into a hidden corner of the library.
He shares a look with Ume, and they nod at each other, their expressions matched in intent. Umeboshi's spectral form begins to glow.
"Mystic Saibashi, to me! Let's cook!"
- Iona Hikawa has posed:
Iona is in the library, conscientiously reading a book named "Dissertations and Developments of the 15th century". She is preparing an essay on the Hundred Years' War, and she is well in advance for it, having begun covering the second part of it. For now, she is silently copying the information detailing the arrival of Jeanne d'Arc to the city of Orléans, back then under siege.
Glasan is next to her on the table, as usual doing her impression of a plushie. Every once in a while, the fairy sneakily turns the page for Iona once she has seen the purple-haired girl has reached its end. The student stops a second to stretch her arms, when she notices the clockwork machine that has suddenly made its appearance in the Library.
'What... even is that?' Iona thinks, loudly withdrawing from the table as she gets up. Her quizzical expression is soon replace by an annoyed one when the book she was studying is chewed up by the machine too. "Come, Glasan, I am going to transform."
And letting the fairy back into Iona's back, the Precure walks into an isolated section of the library. "Pretty Cure Spinny Mirror Change!" The purple-haired girl takes out her PreChan Mirror and with the insertion of the Cure Fortune Precards, the heroine transforms in a purple flash.
Iona walks up to the bowler hat man. Between the hair and the sharp clothing, this is unsettingly familiar, even if the suit is brown. "The star of hope that glitters in the night sky! Cure Fortune! I don't know where they found a Namakelder the Second, but this is an important place for the students. I won't let you disrupt everyone's learning!", she declares staring at the villain.
- Koharu Itamae has posed:
Koharu Itamae was walking on the way to buy ingredients. For COOKING. (Those poor, poor ingredients.). When she looks at the library and pauses. "You know, I haven't gotten Gordon's recent cookbook, maybe they have a copy..." she says as she starts jogging when Dabble-- a tiny fairy in a dapper suit and top hat peeks out of her backpack.
"M-maybe. Maybe we outta go." says the fairy. "Something feels off." she says.
"It's just a library what could be so wron---What the hell is going on here!?" yells Koharu as she opens the Library's door to clockwork chaos. A bowl of instant noodles falls onto her head and she ows. "Hey. What kind of cheap trash is this?" she asks herself as she stuffs the noodles into her backpack and then hides under a table. "Dabble?"
"Oh no, it's Craft!" she says, pointing at the caricature on the noodle bowl. "Look, you said you didn't wanna be involved but this is dangerous!"
"Oh. This is. That?" Koharu asks, blinking. "What's going on!?" she sputters!?
Dabble hems and haws. "Someone's. Been forced into a Cog. A dream they don't want! I guess. This one is noodle related?"
Koharu hides under the table still.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
THE LIBRARY.
Amy hasn't been a regular at a library since she was in high school the first time. She has the internet now, but...
Passing by, she sees a building full of books, and has nowhere pressing to be...
So she's walking through the stacks, reminiscing. Even the smell of books is nice when it's not coming from a textbook.
And then there is the sound of a loud machine and...
Is that guy turning BOOKS into... *noodles*?! "You--!" Amy starts to shout a speech, then realizes and ducks back into the stacks.
Several seconds later, Magical Rocket Girl Red comes out of the stacks from another angle. "YOU ARE DESTROYING BOOKS! That process had better be reversible..."
She shoulders her suddenly-appearing rocket launcher. "Stop now, or..." but, she realizes that might be an issue inside a building and lowers it, "Uh..."
- Ivy Henlein has posed:
Ivy was at school, today. She's the new trasnfer student, and she was there taking care of some last-minute minutae related to her enrollment. Part of this, after her visit to the school itself, was making a visit to the city library, mostly to learn where it is and to make sure she's registered herself there -- so she can check out books when needed. So it happens that she's walking down the sidewalk near the library as everything's starting to happen.
She hasn't met any clockwork fairy, much less a fairy of any kind, so she doesn't notice anything untoward happening, much less does she transform, before walking into the library itself. Once inside, she glances about to look for the information desk, and sees people in 'Magical Girl' cosplay -- or so is her first thought. She starts walking towards the information desk, her actual destination in the place... and realizes there's a LOT more going on in here than she at first thought.
She stops dead in her tracks, just a few steps from the information desk, as she finally realizes that all this is actually -real-, and that she's probably in danger. She's a good ways from the main entrance/exit... so she goes for cover by hopping over the information desk and getting down behind it and out of view, covering her head with her arms.
That's when she feels something bumping at her shoulder. When she looks, it's a... floating pocketwatch -- which floats into the palm of one of her hands.
- Norie Okana has posed:
Craft, as apparently the young man is called, is standing among stacks as mechanical arms, pusher and scoops moves books into a big maw and out comes endless instant noodles.
Craft snorts as one of the appearing magical girls get mouthy. "A second who!? I'm not second!" he says to Iona as Amy yells about it being reversible.
"I mean. Maybe. If I tinker with the device a little, I could ---- HEY THAT ISN'T IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW.... NOODLETRON!?" he commands to a strange long dome with a heart, inset with a spinning cog on it as the machine's scoops, arms and pushers are quickly dispatched outward, pushing and shoving a grabbing at the assembling heroes and other associated rabble.
Craft taps his cane into his palm. "I win." he says coolly. And way, way preemptively.
- Yuuto Shiraishi has posed:
Drawing his blaster, Propel is on his way to face off against Craft, his wheels rolling along the floor as he twists around the reference section. Just as he appears in the line of sight of the general, he aims and...
NOODLES?!
The scoop slams into the Steam Sentinel in the middle of his stomach, sending him sliding backwards, where he collides with a table and goes down in a lump with a low groan.
Tinker is immediately there, "It's okay! Get back on your feet, we got help, and a whole other round to go!" he encourages. And he is about to say more when the obvious energy gets his attention and he turns, eyes flickering open wide. "DABBLE?! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" the other fairy demands. And is immediately looking around frantically. "More importantly, where's your Steam Sentinel??!"
Back on his feet, Propel grunts and sets himself as he flicks on his goggles to start trying to scan the new cog for a weak point. "...I can do this." he states, strengthening his resolve. "Just need to strive to do this." And with that, he's moving forward again, firing several small blasts that splash towards the Cog, hoping to knock it off balance.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy tries to hop to the side but a mechanical arm grabs her.
Fighting monsters, it was perhaps going to happen sooner or later... at least it's not a monster...
...No, a machine is just as bad!
She struggles against the claw, changes her weapon into what looks like some kind of pistol and starts firing at the main body of the robot. "No! Nonono! Let me go! Stop!" And then she looks surprised at something, and slumps a bit with a groan, holding her free hand to her head. "For this, you're gonna pay..."
- Kaori Jira has posed:
Kaori would very much be offended if she was aware she was being considered 'Rabble', but then some robot intending to attack and potentially noodle-fy her? That was more than enough to have the taller teen mad.
The scoop hits her, an acute reminder of just how squishy and fragile her new body was as it sent her hurtling into one of the bookshelves with the cracking of wood and scattering of books.
It hurt, not just the bruises, not just the cuts...but the reminder that she was so...helpless.
It made her mad.
The air seemed to shift, heat washing through the space so dry and harsh it might threaten to set the place ablaze...then the heat coalesed, surging inwards in a small explosion of blue light. This wasn't an elegant henshin, the swirling lights and musical notes of a cure or a Senshi, this was something else.
The roar, something like a scream of the titan she once was and a new figure errupted from the singed books, the young woman's clothing ripped, her forme armored and...a tail, she had her tail back.
The Kaiju Hime exhaled a breath of glowing steam. It wasn't perfect...but it would do.
- Ivy Henlein has posed:
Ivy's eyes are wide as she looks at the pocketwatch in her hand... then the cover over the face of the device pops open, revealing an analog-style clockface, with Roman numerals. Then, as if a holographic display over the clockface, eyes and a mouth appear. "Holy cow!", yelps Ivy, startled -- and somehow managing to not drop the pocketwatch in the process. Then, her eyes, somehow, seem to widen again... and she nods her head as if in response to something only she can hear, then looks up and about.
She nods again, the narrows her eyes and furrows her eyebrows as if thinking hard about something... then nods again, even as she startles and cowers a little when the villain does that little bit of monologuing. She starts to stand, then crouches back down, fearfully hesitating when the villain declares his victory, pre-emptive though it might be.
A few seconds tick by, and she nods again... and this time, as if to keep herself from being able to stop herself, hops up to her feet all at once and holds out the pocketwatch she still has in her right hand -- the way one might imagine a police detective presenting a badge at arm's length -- and calls out, in English, "Steam Sentinel Fours! Evil's Time is UP!"
A glow surrounds her body, obscuring her from view, and what looks like an analog clockface appears atop the glow, with the hands of the clock ticking forward quickly until they hit 4 o'clock. That's when the glow bursts, like a bubble popping, and Ivy's now standing there in a blue, Victorian-style dress with a roman numeral IV on the front. This, of course makes a target of her and a wad... a bunch... a scoop of noodles fly in her direction as she lifts her arms in front of herself in a sort of defensive gesture... ...and splatter, as if against a flat surface, about a foot in front of her arms. Eyes wide, she watches as Propel gets clobbered (noodled?).
A brass chain fades into being, threaded through her pocketwatch's loop and she, almost absent-mindedly, pulls it over her head to wear as a necklace, the pocketwatch falling onto the bare skin of her upper body, hanging just so as if to draw eyes to how low-cut her dress actually is. She takes a step and seems to simply vanish from where she's standing -- and reappears standing in front of Propel, her hand going up in a 'stop' kind of gesture, and two more scoops of noodles splatter against 'flat air' in front of her.

- Ren Morimoto has posed:
A gout of flames and swirls of heavenly-scented broth parts to allow Culinary Guardian Sukiyaki to step through. There's not all that much different to Ren now, besides the bright red hair color he's now sporting, as well as the new outfit with its short kimono and pants, a traditional maekake tied about his waist.
That and the massive blade in his hand. He swings his Giant Cleaver up over his shoulder, careful not to catch it on the bookshelves, and runs a hand through his hair before he dips out of his hiding spot to survey the situation at hand.
No doubt said hiding spot will smell like beef broth for the next several weeks, much to the consternation of the librarian.
He makes it out of the stacks just as Steam Sentinel Propel is knocked into a table. "Hey," shouts Umeboshi from over Ren's shoulder, "It's the guy from the fight with the big scorpion!" And something in Sukiyaki's gut flinches at that memory, but now is not the time to wallow in self-pity. Instead, it's time to fight!
Though as he darts forward towards the... "Noodletron?" he asks, uncertainty in his voice, a scoop comes flying towards him and Sukiyaki has to dodge backwards, ducking underneath the sweep of it so he doesn't get grabbed.
"How are we supposed to get close enough to find its weak spot?" There are usually weak spots, he's learned. His gaze pulls away from the enemy in their midst just long enough to search out the others here to defend the library, before another attempted swipe at him forces Ren's attention back to center so that he can sidestep out of danger.
- Iona Hikawa has posed:
"That's a Phantom Empire general!" Glasan intervenes to explain, not like Craft actually was expecting an answer. "He dresses elegantly too, and his hair is green, just like you! Except by now, he would have probably fallen asleep letting his Terribad work for him."
Iona meantime reserves Red a smile as the magical girl voices her concern over the books. "Nice to have you here, Red! We will make him reverse that, after a good dose of regret for making him mess with them in the first place!" And hopefully she can make the switch without being noticed after this is over. Assuming she can recover her book, she'd rather continue her essay.
"Is this your nemesis?" Iona asks curiously to Propel and Fours after she notices the heroes who had made his appearance. What with the gear motifs of both of them, that seems a safe bet. "I am Cure Fortune, by the way. I hope we work well together, Steam Sentinel Propel and Fours."
And a cook mage shows up too! Is Craft perhaps his nemesis? Those damp noodles are pretty gross, so it stands to reason a culinary villain would adopt bad food. "Wait, are you this villain's counterpart? Or both of you?" she asks. "Anyway, Cure Fortune is my name. I am here to help!"
Iona spins the dial on the Love PreBrace and 5 purple rings appear above her head. "Fortune Star Ring!" she exclaims as with a throw of her arms, she sends them flying towards the arms trying to grab her.
- Koharu Itamae has posed:
Koharu is all kinds of frantic under her table. That's when the table gets a massive *thud* and there's blather. "Oh thank the heavens. Tinker. Tinker, It's be so awful, all... all the tuna casserol---"
"Oh this again. Look. I...I'm not interested." says Koharu.
"Yeah. I found her but she keeps saying no." says Dabble.
"Hey!" goes Koharu. "It's just..."
"So dangerous looking." she mutters.
- Norie Okana has posed:
Craft suddenly twitches a little. Why, he senses something and he looks towards Steam Sentinel Propel and then Steam Sentinel Fours and it's as if a lightbulb goes off in his head. "Steam Sentinels!? Here!? Already!?" he sputters. "And there's two of them. Certainly not." he says.
Scanning the source for the weak point is easy. It's the dome with the inset cogged-heart insignia, in which the poor boy from earlier is entrapped.
Purify the machination, free the boy, save the day.
Amy shoots at the giant mass of metal and gears and clockwork and is able to cause damage to the machine.
Kaiju Hime is able to breath hot steam at the metal, heating it up to bright red colors as pieces melt.
Fortune Star Rings will also cut through arms trying to grab Cure Fortune.
Craft flicks some dried noodles out of his face and coughs, as destroyed product covers him momentarily. He throws his hand forward, pointing at the two Steam Sentinels. "Them...!" he commands, all pushers, arms, scoopers suddenly lunging at them, and them alone...!
- Yuuto Shiraishi has posed:
With Fours making her appearance, Propel blinks owlishly. "I'm not alone...?" he starts to ask, and then almost gives a war-whoop! "I'm not alone! Let's do this, Steam Sentinels!" All two of them. He's trying his best to at least boost the morale of the newcomer in the low-cut dress.
Noticing the giant cleaver, there's a blink from the speedy Sentinel. "I recognize you! We need to get Craft outside, as long as he keeps up within these tight shelves, this fight is not gonna... WHOA!" he has to leap over Kaori's tail as it suddenly appears as she goes into monster mode, and he blinks. "She's on our side? Please tell me she's on our side!" Landing on his wheels, there's another new name. "Hey, Cure Fortune!" he offers towards her as he fires another blast. "His name's Craft, he's one of the Dark Generals and pretty dangerous! I'm glad to have your... everyone's help!" He hasn't taken the time to learn more about him from Tinker yet.
SPEAKING OF TINKER...
As Dabble goes on about the Tuna Casserole, Tinker looks sympathetic. "You should see my Sentinel /eat/. He puts chocolate on his Omurice." The face he makes is priceless. "But look..." the fairy turns his attention to Koharu. "It is dangerous. But if you don't help him... them? This is gonna go bad. Propel's a fast kid. But we're in close quarters, he's gonna get overwhelmed. Look around you..."
"They have help. What they don't have? Is that spirit of fellowship. A leader. They need someone that will stand up and announce to the world that they're the Steam Sentinels!" he grabs his clockwork belly and lifts it. And it drops back down with a mechanical thud.
Just as that is happening, there's a sudden yelp. Propel's blaster is knocked away and he is shoved against the wall with the force of the collision knocking the breath out of him and he struggles, lifted off the ground, his wheels no longer making contact and removing his method of propulsion.
He's suddenly in a whole lot of trouble, and his blaster is just out of reach.
"Propel!" Tinker yells in a panic, and looks back to Koharu. "We need you! He'll probably even eat whatever you cook in gratitude!"
- Ivy Henlein has posed:
"I- I- I can make shields!", Steam Sentinel Fours replies to Cure Fortune, in 'I am American!'-accented Japanese. "I'll try to keep everyone from getting hurt while you do your thing?", she offers, though she sounds so very nervous, scared -- as if she's completely new to all this. She thrusts out one hand to where Koharu's hiding under a table... and a scoop of noodles 'splat' flat against 'air' about a foot away from the girl's face.
The lid over the face of the pocketwatch that hangs against her front by its chain pops open. A voice issues from it, as the holographic-seeming eyes and mouth appear, speaking in crystal clear and perfect Japanese: "You speak Japanese?! Why didn't you tell me before?!"
"You didn't ask!", is the Steam Guardian's reply to her clockwork fairy, who the other clockwork fairies might recognize as Tick-Tock, who they haven't seen around in a very long time, like four-ever ago!
Then all the bad-guy's arms and things are coming at them. Fours' eyes widen and she extends both arms out in front of herself. This time, whatever it is she's doing is a little more visible: the space between herself and all the incoming things, in a sort of half-dome around her, seems to shimmer -- especially when attacks land against it. When all those attacks hit her shields, she seems forced a half-step back as if she felt the force of all those attacks.
The fear and 'I don't really know what I'm doing!' look on her face only seems to worsen for the brand-new Steam Sentinel as she drops to one knee inside her half-dome of shielding.
- Kaori Jira has posed:
She felt stronger, the heat of the fire within her returned as even that sliver of the old power was enough to make the metal on the bot glow hot and weaken. These 'Steam Sentinels?' They were new, but they weren't her enemies, nor was this 'Cure'. Instead she steps forwards, apparently ignored in favor of the sentinels and keen to capitalize on this gap. Nuclear plasma probably wasn't the best approach in a place full of books, but her clawed hands are raised as she surges forwards, ready to try and tear the bot apart with her bare hands.
- Ren Morimoto has posed:
So far, Guardian Sukiyaki hasn't been able to get close enough to strike at the Cog (though he's not sure that's what this is called, based on overheard conversations). He takes a massive leap backwards, landing atop a table, and crouches down to avoid another swipe by the monster. "Um, honestly, I don't know," he calls out to Cure Fortune. "I don't think I have villains? But--," and he cuts a look to the side, where the invisible form of his spirit guide is shouting at him to introduce himself in kind. "I'm Guardian Sukiyaki! It's nice to--."
And then he gets cut off by a scoop slapping him upside the head, sending him tumbling off the table. But he tucks himself into a ball and lands somewhat gracefully, rolling up onto his feet in one smooth motion. "Nice to meet you!"
Another few attempts to get in close with his Giant Cleaver only results in a few more bruises for Ren, who winces as he stumbles backwards, one eye briefly squinting shut from the pain. But he's always been pretty rough-and-tumble, so he stands up straight and shakes it off, readjusting his grip on his blade.
He's contemplating his next move when Steam Sentinel Propel calls out to him, and Sukiyaki nods once, his mouth set into a thin line of determination. "Hey, Craft, why don't we take this outside?" he calls out, and then he charges towards him, shoulder lowered as he looks to hit the villain right in his center mass and tackle him towards the front of the library.
- Iona Hikawa has posed:
The doubt as to whom this guy is an enemy to is short lived as Craft reacts incredulous to the arrival of the Steam Sentinels and Propel explains to her the situation. "So he is the top brass, huh. Thanks, Propel, I will be careful." Well, she would have been careful either way, but now, she has a vague idea of the strength she should expect.
On the other hand, Fours worries her. She providing her own worth, but she sounds so nervous. Is that how she is, or is this her first fight? Maybe she should extend her an offer to train together after the battle. That could do her good, if she wanted. At least she is based on giving protection, which will help her until the end of the fight.
Or at least, Iona very much hopes so when Craft starts focusing his efforts on the Steam Sentinels and one of them is sent crashing against the wall, even. "Watch out, Fours!" she exclaims, wincing at how the situation has turned around so quickly, with one of them even disarmed. This Craft doesn't mess around.
"Craft, what help is focusing on the Steam Sentinels going to give you if the rest of us will still be here to challenge you after! Or do you want your robot to be easy pickings?" Iona tries provoking him away from Propel and Fours. And if that fails, maybe the lizard girl that has appeared will make him second guess himself? She is certainly attention-catching.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Holy cow there's a monster girl melting the machine with her breath/. Damn! And 'steam sentinels' have arrived. And speak english! "[Heeeey! Magical Rocket Girl Red here!]" She waves. "[Make it let me go and I'll help mo--]"
She's splashed with hot noodles! "[Ow! Can we not?!] Euuugh... feels bad..." She switches to her rocket launcher and bashes the arm holding her with it.
"'Craft', huh? So what's your deal? Why are you turning books into noodles, anyway?" She mutters, "[Regardless, you're gonna pay for making me say that... ugh...]"
- Koharu Itamae has posed:
Koharu Itamae looks so unsure. "But..."
Dabble sputters. "NO BUTTS!" says Dabble. Dabble tries to put the wristwatch on Koharu again, like she has so many times before. Koharu 'nrrgs' and twists her arm way slightly and just rubs at her arm.
But then things get really serious on the outside of 'under the table' and Koharu yelps and looks outside from under the table. If these people don't get help....
"Wait, stop....!" she says bursting out from under the table to throw herself bodily in the way...!!!
Even if she doesn't say the transformation phrase, the actions sometimes speak louder than words ever could! A flash of orange indicates the transformation, with cogs and gears and ending up in a dapper suit, with two steamwork-looking gauntlets on her arms.
Which she first uses to grip onto one of the arms coming for Propel. Then another with her free arm. And she just rips them out of the machine with sparks and falling gears
Before Dabble whispers something in her ear and she says. "O..Oh.."
"Steam Sentinel Blaze....Evil's Time is UP!" she splutters before leaping into the air and just crashing through all the arms and scoopers before coming down with a dramatic, fire laden punch onto the dome...!
- Norie Okana has posed:
Focusing on the Steam Sentinels all alone is a bad idea as it gives time for others to try to get their hits in. Kaiju Hime continues to rip and tear into the machine as others speak to him. He scoffs. "We defeated all the Steam Sentinels on Gearwork, how could this possibly be harder!?" Craft bellows out.
Sukiyaki tries to body him and Craft is not a soft target. He counters with his cane, throwing it out in front of him to parry the expectant connection as he huffs. "Ruffian!" he says. "LET ME SHOW YOU HOW A TRUE GENTLEMAN FIGHTS!" he says with shining eyes as he pulls a sword from the interior of his cane, eyes shining....
That's when the dome explodes and frees the poor boy from the confines, falling over in a heap (unless someone catches the unconscious boy!), Machinery disappearing into sparkles and dust.
--- and noodle bowls turning back into books.
Craft blinks as sparkles fall around him and he scowls. "THREE!? I need to..to tell Wraithton.." he sputters as he disappears mid Swordfight!
- Yuuto Shiraishi has posed:
With Blaze coming to his aid and freeing him, Propel slumps to the ground with a quiet WHOMPF of breath. "Ugh. I don't think I'm going to eat Ramen for... at least a week?" he grumbles, the Steam Sentinel reaching up to rub at the back of his head and glances around.
"Everyone alright?" he manages, looking at where Craft disappeared and the young man on the ground. "Anyone have anything to give him to make sure there's no lingering dark energy?" he asks plainly, having not figured that one out yet.
- Ivy Henlein has posed:
All the attacks raining down on Four's shields end, and she opens her eyes (which she'd closed when she felt overwhelmed a bit ago). She rises from kneeling as she looks around. "Is it over...?", she asks, still speaking Japanese in her 'I am American!' accent. She looks a little emotionally shaken, but seems to be unhurt. In reply to Propel's question, she simply shakes her head.
She then looks down at herself, as if seeing her outfit for the first time, and asks, this time in English, "What the heck's going on?!"
- Kaori Jira has posed:
No swordfights for Kaori, just a gleeful destruction as her armored and clawed hands rip apart metal, working her way through wi- And they're books again. The sudden black of paper once more and sparkling dust has the rampaging girl/kaiju hybrid stepping back and fighting the urge to sneeze.
Not exactly her most dignified moment.
Still Kaiju Hime looks about as the noodles reconvert to books, a frown and a swish of that reptillian tale before she speaks.
"Am...I the only one who is really hungry right now?"
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"Yeah I bet this is how a 'gentleman' fights..." Amy mutters. She smashes the arm holding her as the dome explodes and then as she lands and takes aim, the whole thing disappears. "[Yeah! Nice punch!]" And the noodles turn into books. "Thank goodness... What would've happened if someone had eaten them?"
She looks to the Steam Sentinels. "'Gearwork', he said. So you're from another world? [Ah, is English easier? Do they speak something like English there? Who was that? Thank you for your help...]" She looks to the monster girl. "And you too... uh, I mean, thank you for your help."
- Ren Morimoto has posed:
Having just been propelled backwards by Craft's cane, Sukiyaki takes the impact with a grunt, a hand coming up to rub his shoulder. That's going to be sore in the morning, for sure. He switches his stance, bringing his Giant Cleaver in front of him, clearly gearing up for another attack... only for Craft to disappear.
After a second or two of stunned silence, the blade drops a bit, its flat tip resting against the ground. "Well, uh..." he begins, and then he turns on his heel to look at the assembled others. He'd definitely heard English amidst all the violence, and when Fours calls out, Ren rubs the back of his neck with his free hand. "Yeah, uh," he begins, replying in English as well, "Looks like you have magical powers. Welcome to the club!" After Amy speaks, he nods eagerly, head bobbing up and down as he adds, "Yeah, with all of his here I think things went pretty okay! Definitely could have been worse."
Meanwhile Umeboshi is determinedly tugging on his kimono sleeve, and so Ren turns his head, looking at what appears to be nothing in particular with his brow furrowed. "What?" he asks.
"You need to help that boy! He could still be cursed with dark energy!"
"Okay," Ren says. Then he says nothing. And he blinks. Several times. It's a good ten or so seconds later that he follows up with, "And how exactly am I supposed to do that? I can't just dunk him in broth."
Umeboshi flies up to his face and squeezes Ren's cheeks together with his ghostly paws. "YOU BIG DUMB-DUMB, WE'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS! You need to use your Kitchen God Cooking mode!"
"How am I supposed to do that? This is a library, there isn't a kitchen here I can use." The answering bonk to his head from his spirit guardian makes him wince and duck downwards, hand coming up to rub his noggin. "What's that for?!" he cries out.
- Ivy Henlein has posed:
"Another world?! Magical powers?!", asks Steam Sentinel Fours, in high-pitched English, her tone and demeanor almost panicky. "I'm from *Texas*!", she adds, before going on. "...I just came here to register so I could get books for school and then there was a monster and then this pocketwatch...", she says, gesturing at Tick-Tock who hangs from her neck.
"Call me Tick-Tock", says Fours' clockwork fairy, in Japanese, as if introducting itself to Fours.
When Fours continues, it's now in her heavily accented Japanese, "...Tick-Tock just appeared out of nowhere and started telling me I need to stand up, say the thing, and then try and protect people by making shields! I don't have a clue what's going on...!"
- Iona Hikawa has posed:
Trying to distract Craft is soon not needed as a third Steam Sentinel appears and disposes of the robot, freeing the boy from its structure. And the books go back to normal too. Apparently it wasn't needed for Craft to reverse anything. And the dapper guy knows when to give up, since he stops using his sword to make his leave. That's good, there are enough wounded as is.
"How are you feeling, Propel?" Iona goes over, eyeing the hero that crashed into the building. She doesn't have a knack for healing, and her only purifying move is useless in this circumstance. "Are you hurt a lot? Do we need to find a healer? I canìt help with purification like this, sorry."
"Fours, I meant to ask earlier, but is this yours first time?" Iona turns to the second Steam Sentinel. Maybe she can help here. "I can help you train if that's the case. I have been fighting for a long while, and I have experience helping people train." Sort of. Her magical tutelage is still relatively new.
Glasan looks at Kaiju Hime. "If you need to eat, I can point you somewhere good", she tries to helpfully reply.
- Kaori Jira has posed:
Addressed by Puella Amy, she comes to tilt her head to the side. Already tall, the melding of armored scales against her skin, her wild hair and her practically glowing eyes only seemed to make her seem that much more 'immense'. Perhaps it was mearly an impression of what she should have been, or what her mother was. "They hit me," she speaks, flexing her fingers almost experimentally. "I took it personally."
Magical powers or a slip in what made her 'human' for the moment? It didn't matter. Instead she looked between these Sentinels and the Cure, though the offer of food does earn a grateful shrug.
- Yuuto Shiraishi has posed:
"Urgh." Propel offers. "I'll be okay." he manages, but his eyes fall on Fours. "You alright?" he asks the other Sentinel as he gets to his feet. "I... don't understand English." comes the worried admission as he tips his head in a bow. "Thank you for your help."
And then, he's looking around and growing concern. "Where did the other one go? I'll... see you later! Tinker will tell me how to find you!" He hopes.
And with that, he's heading off, either to find Blaze or to get some healing, because yeah, he got pretty battered and bashed.
- Ivy Henlein has posed:
Steam Sentinel Fours nods in reply to Cure Fortune's question. "I just came in to register so I could check out books!", she repeats, though she actually continues to speak in Japanese; despite her accent, she pronounces it well, like someone who took the time to learn it to truely conversational fluency, but without actually speaking any native speakers to learn how to properly enunciate it.
When Propel asks she looks over at him, opens her mouth to speak, then doesn't say anything... though she looks down as if at the pocketwatch clockwork fairy that she's wearing like a necklace. "Uhm... Tick-Tock says you're a Steam Sentinel, like I am?", she says to him. "It says that the two of us and our fairies can purify that guy...?", she adds, gesturing at the person who'd been the General's cog -- not that she knows anything about cogs and Generals and all that, yet.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy probably doesn't *sound* like she has much of an accent to other foreigners, she's been speaking Japanese for years, although it's surely noticeable to native speakers..
She quirks an eyebrow at Sukiyaki talking about kitchen purification, and then her eyes widen at the accented words, Ah'm from Texas! "[Oh, I'm from America too! So this just happened, huh? Damn, it's been like... almost half a year since the cute talking animal came to me during a magical girl fight and offered me the chance to become a magical girl and ripped my soul out of my body. I hope your critter was a little more honest...]"
Amy dismisses her weapon and leans over with her fists on her hips, looking at Tick-Tock. "Not from Oz, I take it. What's... Gearplace, or whatever it was called?"
She glances Kaori's way. "It seems like we could all use a meal and a talk..." She looks to Guardian Sukiyaki since they seem to be food-related. "Do you have any idea where we can get a meal looking like a bunch of cosplayers without a problem?"
- Ren Morimoto has posed:
Despite Umeboshi's continued ranting (which is at least audible only to himself, so he's not bothering other people), Sukiyaki hasn't committed to any kind of cooking montage. Instead, with his sword hanging from his shoulder, he's started to help gather up the scattered books that had been returned to the original forms after the fight. And honestly, Ume is so loud that it takes him a second to realize he's being spoken to.
"Oh, um," he says, blinking, and then his brain catches up with the conversation. "Well, there's the vending machine cafe a few streets over?"
He deposits a stack of books on a nearby table that's still standing, then he dusts his hands off. "It's open twenty-four-seven and it's not manned so it's not like anyone will say anything about our outfits!"
- Kaori Jira has posed:
Vending machine cafe? Well...that works for her, though Kaori herself wasn't going to argue against any promise of food. She couldn't look much further from steam or frills herself, but the girl folds her arm under her bust. Could she turn back? Kaori had no idea, but in truth she felt more like herself than she had for a very long time.
- Iona Hikawa has posed:
Iona emits a sigh of relief when Propel is at least well enough to get up on his own. She wasn't really convinced with his "I will be ok", but he can walk, so either he will get better, or at least will know where to go so he can get any healing he needs. Hopefully. There still is a small tinge of worry since for all she knows Propel could be one of those stubborn types. Well, let's hope that's not the case.
Meanwhile Fours only replies she was here to get a book. "It's ok", Fortune replies with a smile. "If you ever want any assistance, just tell me another time, and I can lend you a hand", she offers the Texan (Iona does understand english, even if it's not her first language).
The situation is under control now, and most heroes are already leaving, so it's probably safe for Fortune to do the same. Maybe she can check out the book she was studying if she comes back as herself later...?
"Sorry, Red, I have homework to do", the Precure explains, turning down the offer of eating together. "And I need to start focusing again since this whole thing happened, but thank you."
"I hope we get to see each other again", Iona says as she starts walking away, Glasan in tow. "Take care of yourselves." And with that, she is out.
