Do You Sparkle

Synopsis:	Open social wherein the crew accidentally breaks newcomer Kaji in her first scene!

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
It's a day! It's a little overcast and a little more chilly than usual for Tokyo this time of year, but Cafeteria Plaza is heated. It's also just after the lunch rush, but school's out, so many students loiter if they have no clubs to go to or projects due. The background chatter's at an acceptable level for conversation.

There's Mamoru Chiba, currently sitting alone!!! at a table-- well, alone now, there's a non-magical friend of his that's just gotten up with his tray and his bag and is heading toward the trash.

Mamoru's already out of uniform, wearing a white t-shirt that says I'm The Coolest Mamo-chan and his black leather jacket, skinny jeans and dress shoes. His glasses are smudged and his lunch tray is deplorable, all desserts and also one serving of something fried that hpefully has protein in it.

He starts in on his chocolate pudding, relaxing now that he's alone.

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Chiyo Sakai was after a bit of dessert herself! But when she spots a familiar dark head of hair that was difficult to miss due to familiarity and sheer size and presence, she knows just where she's going to sit to enjoy it. carefully carrying her tray with a slice of cheesecake on it she moves to set it down near Mamoru with a grin.

"Mind some company? I heard *the most* interesting thing the other day about you and Usagi-chan." Her grin is perhaps a bit. TOO. Large. Because she knew.

Phantom has posed:
"You should have something besides desserts." comes a voice next to Chiyo. Philip, for his part, is carrying a tray with a small salad and a bottle of water, even as he moves to settle in next to Chiyo, removing the items from the tray and grinning aside as he glances at the dark-haired boy. That... he actually not has met besides as Tuxedo Mask. Not that he knows that.

"Hello." he offers in his polite British lit. "I'm Philip." Chiyo can explain the rest, if she wants.

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    The third handsome boy to appear in the impromptu lunchtime grouping is not a handsome boy at all, but a handsome girl - though you'd be forgiven for not knowing that if you hadn't met Haruka Tenoh before. But at the words about interesting things, Usagi-chan (Her Majesty!) and the presence of others around Mamoru, that's really all Haruka needs to interject herself.

    "Mamoru-san loves company." Haruka says, with a wink. "Or at least mine." she adds. Teasing a bit. She moves as if to sit down and pauses. "Assuming I'm not intruding on something special, but I don't see anyone here who is both blonde and rocking the odangoes." She looks at Chiyo. "Close, though!" But it's clear she'd step away if actually asked to.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru startles with a mouthful of chocolate pudding, which means he's suddenly leaning over his bowl over his tray on the table, one hand up to his mouth and eyebrows up. He carefully swallows, then equally carefully sets down the pudding, and then Chiyo indicates she knows, and Mamoru abruptly looks delighted, interruption of introvert time forgiven and forgotten immediately.

He's about to start answering when Philip comes to sit down, and Philip criticizes his (admittedly deplorable, yes) lunch, and Mamoru rolls his eyes. "It's like one in the afternoon, what makes you think this isn't my second or third tray of food?"

It's not, but he's seventeen.

"I'm Chiba Mamoru, grade eleven. Nice to meet you, Philip-san..." he says, and then Haruka's walking up, and he makes sure there's room for her. "Haruka-kun! I do love your company," he laughs. "Sit. So. You know Chibiusa-chan is, is," and Philip is there. It's mostly a smooth transition. Mostly. "Staying at my place sometimes. My cat favors her over me now, it's a little unfair."

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Chiyo Sakai gives an apologetic little wince when she clearly startles Mamoru out of his Dessert Zoning moment. She's been there. Philip's arrival so near to her causes her to glance over to him with a little laugh at the remark that Mamoru responds to before she can. "Well why don't you go get me something healthier then?" She suggests only to lean in and press a quick kiss to Philip's cheek before resuming sitting with her eyes dropping down to her own treat with a silly little grin.

A small pleasantry is offered no doubt to Mamoru, but then Philip does go off to do what was asked it seemed. At that point Chiyo lifts her gaze again to offer, "That's Philip Toms, my boyfriend." A pause before she adds, "You knew him as Phantom."

Haruka is met with a nod, and a flash of recognition across her face. The boy... Girl? That poor Makoto had flirted with before the girlfriend showed up at her shop that day. "Ah, hello again! The odangos are a traditional family hairstyle." A little pat to one odango is given a single time. "Though Usagi-chan is more known for them."

Here she grins at Mamoru. "Just 'staying' with you, hmm?"

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    "Oh, you're related to Usagi-chan? Makes sense. Now I'm wondering if Usagi-chan's mother wore the odangoes when she was younger." Haruka mused aloud. "Good to meet you, I'm Tenoh Haruka." She says, and then pauses a bit. "Is she... sparkly?" Haruka asks Mamoru, after grasping for a proper word and then falling back to a comment that was made what feels like a lifetime ago, with everything that happened between now and then. She flashes Chiyo a smile. Unsure how much she can say, because she wants to comment about Chibiusa, but she's not sure if the girl is safe, even if she is related to Usagi. Differing levels of safe, after all, do exist.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
It's not until Philip's gone that Mamoru says, "OH. Oh THAT's-- okay. But still I mean I'm not a hundred percent sure I'm a thousand percent sure on him. I'm really only telling people I know well," and it's apologetic.

He glances to Haruka then and then back at Chiyo, and his eyes are SPARKLING, he has practically gone chibi himself, and he beams at Haruka, and opens his mouth to say it, and then takes off his glasses and laughs, scrubbing at his eyes. "She's ours," he says, and his eyes are too too bright, and he reaches to take Haruka's shoulder and do the squeeze-shake that guys do sometimes??? and he's grinning. "She's our baby from the future a little sideways from this one. She's ours. Our tiny princess."

Belatedly and uselessly, "Uh, yes. She sparkles."

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
"I am, we're cousins on our mothers side," Chiyo explains to Haruka breifly. Second cousins really but that took a much longer, less simple explanation. Not one she wanted to get into at the moment.

Mamoru's remark about Philip just earns a small nod. "I get it. You need to be careful. I honestly didn't expect him to show up right now." She wasn't upset by it but she wouldn't have brought up the topic if someone not 'vetted' by the whole group was there, even if SHE trusted him.

Then the confirmation comes. Kind of.

Chiyo glances between the two 'boys' chatting, including the little whisper of question regarding her, with an eyebrow raising. "Wait.... YOURS?" She asks with a finger raising to sweep between the two. The corner of her lips twitch a bit as she knew better. It was just too good to pass up!

"Yes, I 'sparkle', though I had lost my powers for awhile. I've got new ones now." A pause and she adds, almost apologetically, "Not healing this time though, sorry. I can still make candy on my own though."

SPEAKING OF CANDY her eyes light up with hands clapping together a single time. "Oh! That means I'm an auntie! What candy does she like? I need to make her something special!"

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    "Neat. Usagi-chan's good people so I assume that flows through for her family - at least I think she's got good relations with her mother's side?" she says, tapping the side of her head and looking at Mamoru for confirmation.

    Haruka turned to look at Chiyo for the 'yours' comment and then shakes her head with a DECISIVE rapidity. "Nah I have enough trouble with my current adopted family, any kids here are not mine." she says, rapidly.

    "Oh... yeah. I'm uh. A Soldier." A sailor soldier, to be specific. "I work with Usagi-chan." She doesn't say more though, she's still not sure about what she can say to all of this and also doesn't want to get yelled at by her housemates for being too open.

    "But yeah, I need to spend some time with that kid." Haruka says. "Remember, I offered to keep an eye on her if you needed that?" She pauses. "Or I think I did. Well, I am now. I'll even keep Ho... Yokina-chan from showing her any scary movies."

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"I absolutely remember," Mamoru says, a little embarrassed, but still pleased. "Sorry, I might tell you another seven times. Definitely thank you for the lack of scary movies, she's seen enough scary things in real life."

The prince is quiet for a moment. Then he laughs, picking up his anpan instead of his chocolate pudding and gesturing with it cheerfully rudely. "Yes. Haruka-kun's one of us. Chiyo-chan's definitely good people. I can't actually remember what kind of cousins they are, I'm-- Usako has an intimidatingly dizzying number of family members."

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
"Our grandmothers were sisters," Chiyo explains as to the relation when Mamoru says he doesn't remember exactly. A quick bite of her cheesecake is taken as she listens, and grins a bit. "I didn't realize my family was so large, either, until recently. It is a lot to take in. They're all very nice though!" And now a bit bigger too.

"I met her once before, she seemed..." She pauses considering how to answer this. "Honestly a bit unsure of how to act, but nice otherwise."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    Haruka laughs a bit. "It's alright, you're proud and excited. It's fun seeing you happy about this, honestly. I wouldn't be a good friend if I couldn't share in my friend's happiness, right? So tell me another seven times if you need to." she says, firmly.

    "You know, I'd think the same would be true for Yokina-chan, having seen enough in real life, but you never know. That kid's goth as heck." she says, shrugging. "Gives Setsuna a partner to talk nerd stuff with though." she adds.

    "Yeah, I only remember trying to keep her out of a fight really. And past that, hearing a lot about her. Absolutely need to sit down with the kid. Maybe you too, Sakai-san. Whole Usagi And Cousins thing I need to do. Now that I'm back in Tokyo for a bit instead of doing a circuit." She does not explain this comment.

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
It's lunch time and that means time to crowd into the cafeteria with the next group and with that group comes a red haired girl with a guitar case strapped around her back as she slips her hands into the pockets of the school's winter blazer.

She spins and shuffles and makes her way through the crowd to try to get to the line before all her favorites are gone! She succeeds, largely, by getting a bowl of ramen before it's all broth in the pot.

She stops at the first table of people she sees. This table here. The one you're all at! "Hey can I sit here?" she asks. And before anyone can answer she's sitting down. "Thanks. It's heck finding a good seat." she says.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"She's been through a lot," Mamoru says to Chiyo, then peers around her. "Philip-san may be having trouble..."

Chiyo leaves and Kaji arrives while Haruka's talking, and Mamoru smiles at Kaji and laughs when she just sits down after asking, but he's still listening to Haruka--

"I might," he says again, of telling her seven times. Then, "I definitely respect goth. But yeah hey, you should definitely check out the family forest over there..."

THEN he turns back to Kaji and gives her a lopsided smile. "Sorry. Are you," he glances at the other tall pretty boy at the table, then back to Kaji, "uh, sparkly?" He looks back at Haruka. "It really does sound terrible, doesn't it."

Then the black-haired boy in the leather jacket turns back to Kaji and bows slightly. "Chiba Mamoru, grade 11."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    Haruka sighs, turns to Mamoru, and nods as Chiyo steps out and the new boy steps in - now just the three 'boys' here. "We really do have to come up with a better term for that. Something cool. Pretty sure we were given that term Sparkle by someone else." she grumbles.

    "Ah, anyways... and either way... hello..." she says, a little more wary of Kaji than Mamoru is. Wary by nature.

    "Tenou Haruka, Grade 11 as well." the girl who is by all outward appearances a handsome boy notes. How do you switch from talking about time children to knowing if you should or not. "Are you familiar with Chiba-san?" she asks, even though the boy just introduced himself. It's just a lack of knowing how else to jump from one topic to another.

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
Kaji looks to Mamoru Chiba and she blinks, the short haired girl giving a little smile. She still has that guitar case on her back. When Mamoru asks a question like that she can only assume what he means.

She seems taken aback. "That's a really personal question... isn't it?" she asks, hand over her mouth in scandal. "I mean..."

"I guess I like girls as much as I like boys... which is to say, I guess personality matters more. Don't you think?" she asks.

Yeah she misunderstood entirely what Mamoru meant. She probably isn't 'sparkly'.

Kaji looks over to Haruka and "Hey. Oh. Wakayama Kaji." she says, to the two.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru's blue eyes widen behind his smudged glasses. "I-- what?" he asks in confusion. "I mean congratulations and I agree, but I meant are you a magical girl?"

Amanda Faust has posed:
    "I thought it was 'do you sparkle.' I hope I haven't confused people even more by messing up the phrase." admits Amy as she walks up to the table with a bowl of soup. And then looks at Kaji in confusion when she says it's personal... oh! "That's fine! A lot of people at Radiant Heart sparkle that way, too. I'm... figuring things out, 'cuz I like girls but apparently I do not feel exactly the same thing other people feel when they say the like boys or girls, I might be demi or ace I dunno?"

    Why yes she does easily overshare with complete strangers she just met.

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    Haruka listens intently and pauses and listens and looks at Mamoru and pauses and then just starts laughing. Above a lot of things, it's her laugh that is most likely to give away that she's a very handsome girl in a boy's uniform. "Oh no, we have got to find a better way to ask that." she says, just having totally lost it.

    "That's not what we meant, but it's... fine, Radiant Heart's a welcoming place. Trust me, I think you still answered the question fine.

    "Oh, I think you are right, Faust-san." Haruka says regarding Amy's question. "Maybe you can help with a better less crazy way to say that without... making it sound like we're asking orientation questions..."

Laura La Mer has posed:
Laura walks into the cafeteria, and after a quick stop to get a tray with anchovies, baked eggplant, a steak and a bottle of water, she takes a seat at the table Mamoru and the others are at with no hesitation.

"Hello, everyone", she waves at the boy. "What are you talking about?" She places the tray in front of herself, then opens the bottle of water with a quick movement, and places it back on the tray.

"Hi", she looks at Kaji curiously. She is quite sure she had made the tour of every single student in the school already, and a new face is definitely interesting. "Transfer student?" she smiles.

"What not-orientation are you trying to do?", she asks Haruka before starting to clean one of the anchovies.

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
Kaji gives Mamoru a blank look. "Huh? You mean. In like a video game?" Kaji asks. "I don't really play many video games, not any like- those internet games, yeah?" she says to the bewildered boy.

Her eyes look over to Amy and she says. "Is that's the game's tagline? 'Do You Sparkle'?" she asks. Yeah she's still lost, and despite the dumb sounding questions they at least sound to come to a genuine place.

Finally, she looks over to Haruka and and then eats some of her soup, before she swallows and says. "Maybe just ask if you play the game?" she shrugs. "Unless it's a secret? Is it a secret?"

She looks over to Laura, who gets a wave as she takes another spoonful of ramen. "Transfer, yeah. Musical Scholarship. Kinda stoked about it."

Amanda Faust has posed:
    "I dunno, maybe it's a good cover?" Amy notes, conversationally. "Like, people have an easy way to misinterpret it if they're not magic. And it's ' sparkleskirts ' that the dark generals coined, I think. We have improved it-- if anything, haven't we improved it by removing the implication that all of us wear skirts?" She waves a hand at Mamoru.

    "We're trying to ask if she's a magical girl." Amy explains to Laura, since Mamoru already said it anyway.

    And then as Kaji asks if they mean if they're magical girls in a videogame -- gods, Amy hopes there isn't a videogame turning people into magical girls and making them fight eachother, she's watched half an anime like that once -- and she has just. Zero poker face as the realization becomes clear that no, they are not speaking to another magical girl. "Uhh. Yes. In a video game. ...Are there secret videogames...?"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Amy-chan hello! No you're right, I forgot. So I'm traumatizing middle-schoolers on accident," Mamoru says woefully, then takes a big bite of his anpan, finally. And it's good he's got it, because he's gradually realizing how bad that could have been, and he sort of shrinks in his seat a little.

"Internet meme about an apocryphal game yeah," says Mamoru, then shrugs. "I'm a huge nerd, sorry. Anyway, nice to meet you, Wakayama-san. Oh what kind of music?" he asks, interest sparking.

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    Haruka rubbed her chin. "Actually I don't think I've heard anyone call me a sparkleskirt in ages. Not even when I wore skirts." she says, which may be bonus funny given her current attire. "And yes, we're all um. nerds. here. Yay. Mazes and Minotaurs is a game I have heard of." she says, the girl doing a terrible job of impersonating anything remotely nerdy.

    "But a new transfer student, that's cool. My girlfriend is a little bit of a musician, herself." she says, utterly downplaying Michiru for the sake of not being too much.

Laura La Mer has posed:
Laura visibly perks up when Kaji mentions she is here on a musical scolarship. "Hmm, I see", she nods with a pleased hue to her tone. "Have you already had a look at the music club? That's really a must if you are interested in music. What are you good at?"

She eats the anchovy she has finished cleaning, and then starts cleaning a new one, and then another, and another after that. "I am in that club too. I am a great singer, one of the best", she states with no indecision.

Ah-ah, now she sees, humming in understanding at Amy's clarification. That makes things much simpler for her, and they can start with one of the simplest test.

Reaching into her hair, she takes the Aqua Pot out and places it upright on the table. "Hey, Kururun, you can eat with everyone", she calls to the fairy. They are discussing magic anyway.

"Kururun!", the pink seal with heart ears and tailfin comes out, bringing with herself a few shell cookies. "This is Kururun, my fairy. She came with me all the way here from Grand Ocean", she explains to Kaji. "Have you ever seen a fairy?"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Gods--" starts Mamoru when he sees Laura pull out the Aquapot. He looks at Kaji, then looks at Haruka. "You're a nerd whose girlfriend is a little bit of a musician," he paraphrases disbelievingly. Then he shakes his head and looks at Kaji in mild alarm. "Are you okay?"

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
Kaji nods. "I see. I see. Yeah I'm only a music nerd. Parents own a an instrument shop in town. Sales, repairs all that kind of thing." she says as she lifts the bowl to eat more soup and looks over at Amy. "Eh? IS There a secret game? I mean that's what I'm asking." she says.

She smiles to Mamoru and Haruka. "Classic Rock, Rock and Roll, that sort of thing." she says. "I'm a bassist." she says.

"Yeah I'm waiting to check out music club. Maybe you can show me around later?" she asks Laura. When Laura places the Aqua Pot down and calls a fairy she goes completely crosseyed a moment and blinks blinks. Logic then sets in. Eyes uncrossing.

"Oh that's a neat toy, is that one of those new drones?" she asks, "Is it voice controlled?" she asks.

She feels vague sense of strange, almost uncomfortable weirdness about this, but shakes her head, but it's a little evident on her face. "Eh? I'm fine. I think."

Amanda Faust has posed:
    MUSIC! There's another topic! "A music scholarship? That's so cool!" Kaji exclaims she's a bassist. "Oh, neat." She air basses, "Duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh duh duh duh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh duh nuh", then smiles, "I sing at music club sometimes but I'm no professional--"

    And then out comes Kururun. And Kaji's brain is breaking. Amy looks at Mamoru and gestures a hand out at Kururun, "See, I told Rashmi, if someone saw in her backpack, claiming to be someone's robotics project was believable."

    She then steps forward to pet the fairy seal.

    With audible uncertainty, she says to Kaji, "Yessss. A robot. ...I'm so sorry." She looks at the others, distressed. "I'm really bad at lying guys, what do we do?"

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru's variously been eating the desserts on his tray throughout the conversation, and now he finishes the anpan and the chocolate pudding, and starts packing up his stuff. "Put away the toys and change the subject," he says gently. "She likes rock'n'roll, you can talk that stuff right? I'm more on the punk side of things," he adds to Kaji. "I've gotta go, though, I'm on cleanup duty and I have a stack of dishes to do before I can go on a date."

There! Everything's picked up, and he takes both bag and tray and bows slightly to the table after getting up. "Later."

Haruka Tenoh has posed:
    Haruka considers. "It's a robot. Yeah. Cute robot." she says, nodding. "Science is amazing and stuff. You should see what my housemates have. Oh, or what goes into a car these days!" she offers.

    Amy says she's bad at lying and Haruka rubs her chin. "Hmmm. I'm bad at it too. May I suggest... well, do you know how I really got these toned legs?" she asked, patting a thigh.

    And then she picks up her stuff. And runs away with it. Just. Leaves. Vamooses. Dustcloud and everything, the girl's a track star and she's gone.

Laura La Mer has posed:
"Of course, I don't mind showing you later. I am free after this, anyway", she confirms to Kaji. Bassist, uh. She doesn't really know a bassist yet. She should try to see how good Kaji is at it, and then see if she is interested in working together. "Your parents must be quite good, with a thriving shop. How long have you been playing the bass?"

She has finished cleaning all the anchovies by now, and then she starts eating them one by one. "Of course not, Kururun is the Queen's fairy. Pet her, does she feel like a toy to you?", she invites Kaji directly.

Kururun meanwhile is happily eating her shell cookies, not having much regard for the conversation aside from taking a look at Kaji with a smile. She does let out a happy "Kururun~" when Amy pets her.

"I don't see why we can't talk about both things. That's what you were doing anyway", Laura replies to Mamoru as he starts going away, feeling slightly chastised. "Later, and Sharon is around", she decides to remind Mamoru and Haruka.

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
Kaji looks towards Amy and says. "Yeah it's a pretty neat toy, I mean it's floating all around and stuff!" she says as she sips the rest of her soup up. It's cold out there, she needs hot and she wants to finish it while it's still hot.

""Why would you need to lie about a toy anyways?" she asks between Amy and--- oh Mamoru needs to leave "By, Chiba-san!" she says. She looks over to Haruka. "By--oh she's gone fast." she says to the outline where a Haruka once stood.

She blinks as Laura says she's not a toy. She gives Laura an incredulous look, but keeps her opinions to herself as not to upset anyone. Maybe she thinks it's real?

She hesitantly moves to pet the seal fairy. Oh. That feels! Uncomfortable to touch. Like he brain is saying .oO(Not today loser!) and trying to escape her head!

"wuh." she goes. That's the sound she makes. "Wuh!" she goes again. Who's a Sharon? "Who's a Sharon?" she asks.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    MAMORU AND HARUKA RUN OFF.

    Amy is not prepared to deal with this situation at all! And Laura won't play along with her terrible acting, anyway.

    Why would you lie about a toy? Who's Sharon?

    Amy sighs. So much for covering anything up at all. "She's a magical princess from another realm. Like La Mer-san here. And we have to lie about it because you can't remember magic. I'm really sorry. It's unfair, and I'm hoping one day we can make it so everyone can remember magic, so that it can be studied and used for the good of all."

    She looks at Kaji sympathetically. "I'm really sorry. Magic is real and you're going to forget this happened. Is, uh, is there any question you want to ask, or anything we could do to try and make this up to you?"

Laura La Mer has posed:
Laura scoffs at Kaji's reaction. Either the Veil is being particularly obstinate, or Kaji has no magic potential at all. Well, two can play this game, and she is not a quitter. She will have the last word.

"I don't lie if I can help it", Laura squints her eyes at the question. "And I certainly wouldn't lie on something like this", the pinkette remarks, making the last of her anchovies disappear. She doesn't even hide her magical and mundane identities from Obsidian.

"Someone we met over winter break, a dear friend, and what Amy said", Laura adds a few touches to the redhead's explanation. "She is in our classroom, you should have seen her. Short platinum blonde curly hair and pink eyes." Though her hair was completely snow-white in Chanteur.

"Laura-san is fine", she addresses Amy while cutting her steak. "We don't really need to use our surnames, right?", she smiles. "The realm Sharon is from is called Chanteur, while mine is Grand Ocean."

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
Does Kaji have magic potential? Who knows! What's evident now is Kaji is normal. She listens to Laura first because she frowns. "I.. wasn't calling you a liar? I was asking Amy why she'd need to lie..." she says. She then looks to Amy again and listens to her as she snorts. "Look, you don't need to tell me what you guys did in that videogame, I don't even understand it, really." she says.

"Magic isn't real, silly." she says.

She kind of eye twitches a little and says. "Alright let's pretend you're not cuckoo for cocoa crisps." she says. "What the heck would you even do with magic except make seals fly?" she asks.

    Okay, they're going down this route. Not that Amy really had any idea of where things would go from this point. What do they do with it? "Um. Be magical girls, apparently. Fight monsters. Stop dark generals from draining people's energy or motivational power or dreams or whatever. Fight like. Ice cream trucks or teachers that get turned into monsters -- wait I already said fight monsters. Save the world. Visit a snow fairy kingdom and save its ruler from dark energy. Make friends with mermaid princesses, plural. Get turned into a talking doll for half a week and find it really unnerving how people would forget seeing me the moment I was out of view. Stop certain terrible monsters that actually kill people instead of just making them tired. Uhhh. You know. Magical girl stuff."

    She watches Kaji with concern.

Laura feels a little bit mollified when Kaji says she doesn't think she is a liar. Her eye starts twitching when the short-haired redhead when there is talk about pretending they are not crazy. "I am using magic right now, to look like this", she states matter-of-factly. "I am not normally a human, I am a mermaid." Her tone is happy and proud in equal measure.

She gives Kururun a few pets, feeling better right afterwards. "If you want proof, I am going to turn back right here", Laura tells Kaji with convinction. There aren't many students around, and even fewer are paying attention to them anyway.

"The Aqua Pot here is my home too", she points at the bottle. "I have all my things inside, and it can fly too, and recover stolen motivation power. Everything else is the same as Amy-san. I bet you could be one too, and help protect people too", Laura gives Kaji a smile.

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
Kaji listens. There's a long pause as she takes all this in.

"..."

"Fight... ice cream trucks? Monsters? Dark generals? Is there a dark army? Look..."

"Is this like what's that thingy with the guys in the park hitting each other with nerf bats? Roleplay? Is this that?" she asks, rubbing the side of her head.

She looks to the bottle and the seal and then looks to Amy again as she looks back to Laura as she narrows her eyes.

"Fine. Turn into a mermaid." she says, as if trying to call a bluff.

Amanda Faust has posed:
    Amy blinks. "Is this a LARP?" She considers the idea. "A magical girl LARP does sound pretty cool, but I wonder how you'd do it?" She reaches out to pick up Kururun, briefly hesitating when her hands make contact. "Is it okay if I pick you up?" If he doesn't indicate otherwise, she hugs him close like a cat, before watching Laura expectantly.

Kururun nuzzles happily against Amy when Is picked up. She had finished her lunch, so she is completely cool with this being petting time. The current conversation doesn't concern her much too.

"Well then", Laura smirks when Kaji does challenge her on demonstrating the truth of her words. There is a slight pink glow, and Laura's clothes have been replaced by her underwater clothes, and her legs are now a single, long blue tail with a pink and yellow tailfin.

"So what do you think of it?", the pinkette immediately inquires. "Go ahead and touch my tail, that's no problem", she encourages, waiting for expressions of surprise and admiration.

Kaji Wakayama (286) has posed:
Kaji blinks at Amy. "Yeah a HARP!" she says, misunderstanding the word Amy says.

Then she looks at Laura. .oO(Come on Laura, put on the Mermaid outfit in your backpack or something. Let's see it!...)

And then there's a pink light and a transformation and Laura is a full Mermaid. "...wuh?" she goes again before she squints and then her eyes roll into her head a little. And she faints.

Like a rock, she hits the ground, legs now in the air a moment before they go limp! There's the sound of a bass guitar going 'strump!' as she falls backwards.

    Amy feels the softness of fur and the warmth of a small body held close; this situation is kind of stressful so she'll take what comfort she can get from Kururun, nuzzling the fairy seal a little before everything goes pear-shaped. Or at least mermaid-shaped. "Oh no! We broke her! ...I guess we'd better bring her to the nurse's office!" She sets Kururun back down on the table, and lifts her soup to her lips to suck up a mouthful -- this might be all the lunch she ends up having time for today. She abandons lunch at the table and goes to lift Kaji up, grunting. People are heavy -- they're like 70% water and water is really heavy! -- and, out of henshin she is reminded again that this body is not strong.

    So she ducks behind the table, transforms while keeping her student uniform on, and then lifts Kaji with ease into a fireman carry, nodding toward Kai's stuff for Laura to get it, and turns to stride off towards the nurse's office.

    ...She stops after a few steps and swallows. "Can you store soup in the aqua pot okay? If so grab our lunches too, we can eat at Setsuna-chan's office if we have to."

    And then she resumes taking Kaji to the nurse.

    Oh this all went horribly wrong...

Laura sighs when she sees Kaji faint. What is with people, lately? Of the two latest people she reveals herself to, both of them faint with no exception. What is the cause of this? Is it possible to help people preemptively, so they don't faint? That would be really helpful.

"Come here, Kururun", the mermaid urges the pink seal, showing her the Aqua Pot, indicating that's time to go. The seal gives Amy one last happy look and the flops inside the Aqua Pot.

Transforming into a human again, she nods at Amy. "Yes, just a sec", and quickly gathers all the food in three trips, in and out of the Aqua Pot, and then she is following Amy. "If you want to trade, let me know", she adds, biting her lips at this kind of circumstance. "The food will have to be reheated though. It will have become cold simply due to time passing, not due to the Aqua Pot." And with that last warning, time to give Kaji her due rest.
