Summer Clubs are Still In

Synopsis:	Garden Club is in session! Brief meetings and greetings.

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Summer meant breaks from school, but for certain clubs THIS was the time that they were most invested. Chiyo was in flower arrangement club but with that came gardening club as a close tie-in since you couldn't have one without the other.

Chiyo's dressed down from her usual girly attire to wear a simple pair of shorts, and a t-shirt that actually showed off her arms. Usually she tried to hide them given she had a bit more muscle than most girls her age. A bag of topsoil is hefted up on each shoulder being held quite easily as she carries it out to the garden from the storage shed. At least there weren't too man people around to see at moment. Right?

Makoto Kino has posed:
Makoto honestly...isn't a fan of the school break. At least...not yet. She's just getting to know people here, and get used to having actual friends. So, she has no problem hanging out in club. She comes in, dressed in what passes for casual clothes for her today; a tanktop, and a pair of shorts which shows off about a mile of leg because OMGtall. She looks over as she sees someone carrying two bags of topsoil. That also hides said person's face, so Makoto isn't sure it's actually a girl as she approaches, from the door. It's not until she sees the bun that she pauses a moment in surprise; that's not really a boy's hairdo. So she speeds up at that, and offers "Can I give you a hand with that?" SHE may be freakishly strong, but she's not used to other people being so also.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari was in drama club. But drama club used flowers and bouquets and other plants in their productions which meant sometimes having to strange interclub alliances and helping out. SO THUSLY, Hinote Kagari (ACTOR. EXRTRAORDINARE) has arrived, decked out in his dapper school uniform to help out today with the growing of flowers.

He places a hand in his pocket and peeks into the storage shed. "y'ello?" he goes.

He then traces his steps away from the open shed down the way to the garden as he huhs and catches up to the other two girls.

"Hey, w--wait up." he goes as he races ahead. "Is that all that needs brining? What else do you all need?" he asks. "Like tools?" he asks.

Miho Aiuchi has posed:
    Someone is already lurking in the garden. Well ... if you define "lurking" as "relaxing right out there in the open".

    She's certainly thinking about it, however. Miho is lying next to one of the flowerbeds in a blue shirt and black skirt, her hands clasped behind her head, gazing up at the sky with a faint smirk which might seem ... uncharacteristic, if anyone who was familiar with her could see it. The jade-green bangle hangs on her wrist.

    When she hears voices approaching, however, she quickly sits back up as if she'd been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. Seeing that nobody's right there yet, however, she relaxes, and adjusts her glasses.

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Chiyo Sakai stiffens when she hears the voice of another, and lifts her head to try to peer overtop of the bag of soil toward Makoto. At least until she realizes she can just easily turn toward the much taller girl who she regards with just a hint of surprise, and even ... embarassment. "Oh, ah. I've.... I've got these," she assures Makoto in a quiet voice that doesn't carry very far. She'd rather hoped she could get this task done before others began to arrive. At least most of the gardening club didn't seem to care about her strength. A quickly flashed smile comes as she assures, "If you want to grab one, sure, but I've got it. I'm, ah..." Strong? Possibly. She was even tall for her age, but she was no where near as tall as Makoto. "It's okay. I'm pretty strong. I just, ah. I usually don't like to show off. Some of the boys said it wasn't cute..."

Just around this time she hears Hinote's voice calling out to offer help as well. He wasn't the one that had told her such a thing, of course, but it's perhaps understandable why she blanches none the less after that little admission of information. "Oh. Oh, well."

Club people were suddenly here. She hadn't spotted Miho yet, either, but she was heading that direction and would soon spot the familiar girl. "... Ah... D-do we need anything else?"

Makoto Kino has posed:
"I know that feeling. Really. Really. Well." Makoto understands being tall and strong and both of those being considered uncute. So, she doesn't do that. "Well, I was debating trying to maybe get some herbs growing in addition to just flowers. I brought some seeds, so if you think others wouldn't mind, we could get a raised bed started. Just some potting soil and a hand trowel, really. Unless we're going to build a new bed, which would be kind of carpenter-y." She answers Chiyo. She looks over as Hinote calls in. "We're over here!" she calls. "And we were just talking about maybe setting up a new herb bed." She hasn't seen Miho till she sits up, and blinks in surprise. Naps aren't super-common in here.

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari removes his hand from his pocket and gives a wave. "Yo." he says with a smile. He overhears that statement, and he frowns a little. He however, doesn't make a point of highlighting it any further, it's clearly awkward for Chiyo.

"My apologies. I am Hinote Kagari. From the drama club. I came to help out with some of the things here. We kinda. Need some of these things later on, you know. So it's in the best interest to help, yeah?" he says.

Miho Aiuchi has posed:
    Miho gives a nervous wave back towards Makoto. "Uh ... ahaha. Hi guys!" she says, in her usual scratchy and androgynous voice. "And, uh. Hi ... Sakai-san ..."

    Her voice trails off, and her visible nervousness increases. She intruded on someone else's conversation! Accidentally, even, just by being there! This is the worst case scenario! She looks away, frowning deeply. "Uh. Sorry," she mumbles, preemptively.

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Chiyo Sakai regards Makoto with a softening smile. It was kind of nice to know she wasn't the only one worried about such things. The talk of plants was a good distraction from such intrusive thoughts. Even when Makoto heads off to check on those seeds she's left feeling a bit better with the others around now.

The familiar voice of Miho from the garden draws another smile. "Ah, Miho-chan, hi! Did you come to help, too?" Looking back over toward Hinote she finally shifts to crouch and drop the bags down. There was no sense in standing around holding them the entire time. "Pleased to meet you. I'm Chiyo Sakai, in flower arrangement club. Though, it's kind of close to gardening so we help out in shifts," she explains softly with a smile. She does reach over to tug her sleeves down a little awkwardly hoping to hide more of her arm out of habit.

"Thank you for coming to help, too." A look is sent back toward Miho to respond reassuringly, "It's okay. Everyone can enjoy the gardens, Miho-chan."

Hinote Kagari has posed:
Hinote Kagari rubs the back of his head as Chiyo tries to fix her sleeves. Ah. Now he's wondering if he's made Chiyo self-conscious by accident. Well... he gives a wink. "Well, seems lots of clubs make use of other clubs and some clubs don't give as much back, so, you know. Just here to do my part." he says as the talk of an herb bed is made. Ohh fresh herbs and... Makoto is off to handle that.

Well, he looks over to Miho and gives a wave. "Yo." he goes. "So we're laying down new beds, then?" he asks. "I.. have no idea how to do that." he admits sheepishly. "Do you uh. Dig a hole and put the soil in?" he asks. "Or. Uh..." he rubs the back of his head again.

Miho Aiuchi has posed:
    "Oh! Uh." Miho shakes her head. "I was, uh, I was just relaxing here. Since it's, y'know, nice."

    She smiles faintly, and then ...

    ... suddenly sounding more confident for a moment, her words going more gracefully even if her actual voice is still scratchy and androgynous, she says, "My name is Aiuchi Miho. Nice to meet you!" Beat. "I'm in ... the ... Go Home Club, I wasn't actually ... planning on, uh, joining the, the gardening club or anything."

Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Chiyo Sakai finds what Hinote says to be rather true, and she grins in response. "Yes, but we're always glad when people do help out. Thank you for coming, and pleased to meet you." As for the rest... she glances hesitantly toward the gardens. "To be fair, I know how to tend to them, but not how to build a new garden bend. Maybe we should wait for some of the main club members for that."

"And there's nothing wrong with just going home. Sometimes it's hard to find time for hobbies, there's nothing wrong with that."
