| HopHopBunnyChan is Live and Streaming: Seven Nights at Sakamoto's | |
|---|---|
| Date of Scene: | 19 October 2025 |
| Location: | Game Crown Arcade |
| Synopsis: | It's HopHopBunnyChan's Scream Stream, and everyone's ready to vote on how bad she'll fare in Seven Night's At Sakamoto's. Things start off pretty well, but they take a turn for the Mahou when Usagi and Co are sucked into the game! Can they survive a night at Sakamoto's? |
| Cast of Characters: | Usagi Tsukino, Nanoha Takamachi, Chibiusa Tsukino, Amanda Faust, Veronica Perenna, Hinoiri Kirara, Mamoru Chiba, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Koji Silvia, Rashmi Terios, Kazuo Saitou |
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
It's not quite Halloween, but it's October enough that it counts, particularly because, for once in her life, Usagi has Halloween plans that actually involve doing some trick or treating. Chibiusa missed Halloween last year and everyone was interested in making sure she had a fun time. Which meant that HopHopBunnyChan's once upon a year scream stream was taking place early this year.
To make up for that, and the fact that last year due to the storm of the century hitting Japan (actually Walpurgisnacht), Usagi had begged and wheedled a favor out of Motoki - the opportunity to have herself and a few friends stay at Game Center Crown after hours so that she could host a stream. Motoki, not blind to the benefits of publicity, had agreed as long as they promised to clean up after themselves.
That had been agreed to, and some of Usagi's close friends - and of course her boyfriend(to Motoki) / husband(to everyone in the know) - had been given the invitation to join her (off-camera, chatting via text) for the stream.
She's set herself up on a table, facing the many arcade cabinets, dressed in a cute black dress with an orange corset, black bell sleeves, and a purple bow. Her Witch's hat has a purple ribbon too, but it's at an angle behind her chair so she can wear her pink headphones with bunny ears.
"Okay, okay, everyone, get ready! Mamochan's the only one who can be on screen, no voices! We're going live!"
The stream title is posted: "HopHopBunnyChan is Live and Streaming: Seven Nights at Sakamoto's".
"This is the game that the mods said you all voted for - Seven Nights at Sakamoto's! I'm not really sure what it's about, but I hear something about malfunctioning AIs?"
She fiddles with her screens, and her image on the stream goes from completing taking up the screen, to being in the bottom right left corner as the game's title screen appears, showing a dimly lit modern-looking ryokan. Red eyes appear and disappear from the windows at random intervals.
- Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi was getting help from Yuuno picking out her costume for the party she'd begged and pleaded with her dad for. She decided on a cute pink bunny, and she was gonna face paint her face a little and be a bunny! Yes! It'd be adorable! Maybe she can convince Arisa and Suzuka to dress up as other forest critters with her!
So she was placing the order online, with her parents permission of course!, to get the costume delivered in time. She then saw a notification about HopHopBunnyChan going live. She had nothing better to do. Why not watch it!
Oh, spooky stream! She types into the chat!
>> StarlightStarbright is typing...
>> StarlightStarbright: Oh, a spooky game!
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Chibiusa's life this time last year was... well, fine mostly. It would actually have been a month from now when things got really bad for her. Kind of. Time is confusing and doesn't flow at the same rate in each universe.
Either way, the future princess is really looking forward to spending Halloween with her teen parents, and it's kind of obvious at times even if she sometimes tries to pretend otherwise.
Right now she is in the Game Crown, sitting on a bar stool, messing with the phone that Luna-P has transformed into. Her little legs kick-swing under her feet as she watches the stream and chats.
> IttyBittyBun: I bet she loses it at the first jumpscare.
Such a supportive young child, truly. At least she's sitting behind the camera so that she can never show up in the shot.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy is sitting at her computer in the dorm, the stream open on one monitor and Foobar2000 music player open on the other. Seven Nights at Sakamoto's... Amy's never played it, but it's hard to avoid picking up some bits of it from pop-cultural osmosis. At least two indy musicians she listens to have written songs about it, some of which have in turn been covered by others. Although, it's been so long that she's forgotten the title of at least one of them, and it takes some searching to find which one it was.
Malloween: I love your outfit! Cute witch, excellent hat!
Malloween: Also I'm so sorry your viewers voted for this. But it's a horror game I guess you know what you're getting into.
Malloween: @IttyBittyBun Well I guess now she knows to expect jumpscares at least.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Halloween is still a few days away, but Veronica wants to make sure her outfit works all right for when the night of the 31st comes around, and with how the clamor about the day seems to be at a peak today, there is probably no more fitting time. There are some people already strolling around the streets in their costume, even.
Though, she does not think she will be joining them however, since she knows Usagi plans to run a horror stream in a few moments. Her laptop is already open on her webpage, and she is just waiting for the notification to show up.
"Dressing up" in her costume is easy for her, and she sends Laisa a few pics as well, just in time for when the stream screen starts flickering with life.
@BlueMoonCat says: Witches are just a classic :3
@BlueMoonCat says: I am cheering you on, BunnyChan, hue got this!
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara wasn't going to NOT support one of her friends on something like this, and well... It was in preparation FOR Halloween, so she didn't need to actually do much other than be there and support her friend, so she was sitting nearby on a laptop with the stream open and occasionally typing in comments as she...
She did research. Because of course she did. She was moral support and there in case they needed some help with anything. After all, Usagi got her into streaming and stuff, it was a great chance to pay her back if she needed a hand with anything (especially if she needed a hand while Mamoru had to calm Usagi down because of some freak out while Hinoiri fixed something streamer related)
ShimmerCode: Sakamoto, huh? Doesn't sound so tough. You can take him, knock his code off!
ShimmerCode: Witches beat haunted AI anyday, anyway.
Supportive as ever, she was.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Well, if Hop's outfit is adorable, Unmask's is ~scandalous~; he's wearing some epic Zagreus cosplay, and while he's not impossibly built like Zag, he's not a stringbean. Except for the fire and the eyes, and Mamoru's glasses, it's pretty accurate. Even the laurels in his hair have fiber optic sparks and metallic reflective orange, yellow, and red leaves.
He's got a tablet and a bluetooth keyboard set up next to Usagi's so he can type in the chat, but his chair's a rolly stool that he can use to roll behind Usagi and hold her for scary things while grinning over her shoulder into the camera.
Which he does right now, before rolling away to his keyboard again.
unmaskalive0807: different sakamoto
unmaskalive0807: hey you guys look im making a reference.
- Rei Hino has posed:
tRei Hino knew Usagi was streaming as HopHopBunnyChan today in some sort of horror thing at the Crown, and while that didn't interest her on several levels, she cared enough about her friend to be aware of it. Still, she'd also committed to do a fire reading on their new/old enemies, and while last night's session only gave her images and information in a jumble, she didn't want to provide only that, so she sat in front of the fire in her shrine uniform, trying to focus again.
Rin, Pyo, To, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen.
Rei chanted and made the gesutres and then focused on the flame, trying to see something in it, trying to seek information to stop whatever they were planning. Instead she only saw occasional hazy images of one of Juban's streets, unhelpfully.
Rin, Pyo, To, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen.
- Makoto Kino has posed:
MissCamellia: you've got this, Hopchan!
Makoto is actually at the Radiant Heart library, rather than tax her own ancient laptop with trying to keep up with Usagi's stream. Scary games truly aren't her thing, but Usagi is her friend and she well knows that scares aren't really her thing either, so... well, of course she'll tune in as another voice of moral support.
She may have done a double take at Mamoru's costume. She may have glanced guiltily over her shoulder in case anyone else at the library is paying attention to what she's doing.
MissCamellia: someone's showing off. now I know I need to bring my A game the next time there's a costume party
MissCamellia: sorry I didn't get your reference n_n;
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Don't worry, Malloween, I knew this one would be scary going in! And IttyBittyBun, it's not nice to place low bets! You can't join the war against me on the side against me!"
In spite of her words, she's laughing, warmed up by the support of so many friends, and especially Mamoru, who she occasionally glances at only to look away, face steaming.
Some of her usual streaming audience is in the chat too, offering comments as the game loads to the first screen.
AngstyBrooder23: bro why does hop's man keep showing up?!
360YOScope: hey man we love a supportive boyfriend
SpamInTheWorks: ngl seeing him like that i get why she's engaged to a casual
"You're so right, MissCamellia! He is showing off! But okay, so about this game... I've literally just seen the memes, but I know there's jump scares, and I know I'll survive them!"
The start up screen fades out into a image of a letter on the screen. Usagi reads the letter for the benefit of her audience:
"'Welcome to your new job at Sakamoto's! We're glad to have you joining us as our new night-time security guard, as you'll be the only staff member on duty tonight!' Wait, what? I'm the only one?! But why -"
More text fills the screen as she clicks on.
"'We at Sakamoto's pride ourselves on innovation! The hospitality industry is growing and changing, and what customers truly want is a hands-on, private experience! They want to see that they can get up to a relaxing vacation without the worry of eyes or ears on them! That's why we're a fully automated ryokan. You'll just need to watch the security cameras, and make sure nothing strange happens in the night. If you make it through your first week, you'll be off probation!' If???"
AngstyBrooder23: Hop's cooked
360YoScope: nah we ain't making it.
- Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi opens a bag of of these puff-like snacks and starts eating them. Yuuno sits on her shoulder as she laughs as HopHopBunnyChan reads the files and makes comments. She looks to Yuuno. "She never played the game actually, this is gonna be fun."
>>StarlightStarbright: Hop needs to be made into bread and cooked because she's toast.
>> I bet she doesn't last the first night, let alone two!
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Malloween: @BlueMoonCat she gets it!
Amy doesn't comment back at ShimmerCode about what she's heard of the true nature of the 'haunted AI'. She has no idea what's memes and what's actual in-game canon, anyway, and if it's the latter it's spoilers.
Malloween: @unmaskalive0807 Zag, man, is that you? Cool costume! I like it!
She can make references, too!
Malloween: Seriously cool to see my friends cosplaying too!
Malloween: @AngstyBrooder23 They are engaged why shouldn't he? Why would it matter to you whether there's a man in her life or not, aren't we here to watch a cool lady play videogames?
(after 'I know there's jump scares and I'll survive them)
Malloween: :thumbs-up emoji:
(The only one? Why)
Malloween: Because it's a horror game
Malloween: I've heard things but I've never actually played this game, or seen it played. I have no idea how difficult it actually is as a game, jumpscares aside.
Malloween: @StarlightStarbright: No she's not toast she's a bun ;P
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
IttyBittyBun: I am the war.
Chibiusa types that with a level of confidence that says she has no doubt that what she said made perfect sense, and hits the enter key with zero hesitation.
Admittedly, she hasn't played this game before. There are spooky games in her world, but they aren't quite the same, made by different people in different circumstances. She has very little idea what this is going to entail, but she knows that there's going to be a jumpscare because there always is one.
Maybe she can play headgames with Usagi by pretending she knows more than she does? Behind those red dispassionate eyes is a plotting mind scheming Usagi's downfall, or at least attempting to get a funny reaction out of her.
IttyBittyBun: Fully automated ryokan?
IttyBittyBun: It's a good thing this is a vacation spot because I have so many reservations.
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara glanced at the stream, quietly chuckling and making sure to cover her mouth so it wouldn't interrupt the stream itself.
ShimmerCode: Nah, she got this. She'll make it at least three nights.
ShimmerCode: And some of you just jelly your SO won't dress up like that for your streams.
She glanced back to the stream and... Oh, yeah, Usagi was sooooo not making it past the first night. But hey, if she died enough times in the first night, it'd technically count as three nights, right?
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
unmaskalive0807: i havent even seen the memes lol
unmaskalive0807: oh sorry @misscamellia i meant being a video game character for halloween
unmaskalive0807: i played a game thats not a 4x, im not a casual anymore yaaaay
Mamoru leans in to smirk where the camera can see; his trollface, by now, is also known to Usagi's stream. Then he leans back out of frame-- and then dimly over Hop's microphone they hear Unmask bursting out laughing, then stifling it-- then laughing like that *again*. His laugh is bright and surprised.
unmaskalive0807: omg bittybun im so proud of you
unmaskalive0807: malloween lmao lmao lmao i havent played 2 yet im still trying to wring all the content out of og hades but i have seen THAT
unmaskalive0807: anyway thanks guys i figured id add some equal opportunity fanservice since hop's even cuter than usual tonight
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Oh, that's Zagreus, isn't it? Veronica peers interested at the details of Mamoru's costume. She has seen a few friends play it before, and is roughly aware of most of the game, unlike the Sakamoto reference Mamoru makes.
@BlueMoonCat to @unmaskalive0807: I know nothing about that Sakamoto guy
@BlueMoonCat to @unmaskalive0807: But that costume is to die for, unmask
Veronica puts on a grinning face reaction at Malloween's comment, and looks down the rest of the comments, tilting her head at the noise people seem to be making over Mamoru for a moment. Weird people.
@BlueMoonCat to @HopHopBunnyChan: I haven't even seen the memes
@BlueMoonCat says: Are the guests Yakuza?
@BlueMoonCat says: Kinda sounds like that.
- Makoto Kino has posed:
MissCamellia: I don't know anything about this game either, but
MissCamellia: it sounds like a terrible concept for a ryokan
MissCamellia: I'd be way more worried about the cameras than any live staff
Makoto hunkers over the keyboard, one hand over the earbud in her ear to listen. The library feels like a mistake right now, but if she focuses on the stream, she can mostly ignore the yawning feeling of the mostly empty building around her. Right? Right.
MissCamellia: come on, you guys are so mean XD XD XD hang in there, Hopchan!
MissCamellia: @unmaskalive0807 ohhhhh. I meant 'other sakamoto' but that's great too! <3
- Koji Silvia has posed:
@Su_Miso_Sen has joined the chat.
Su_Miso_Sen: Greetings, this is your friendly wrathful mod! Just a reminder of the typicals. Keep your comments PG, no spoilers (AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE...), and trolling with be met with the Mighty Fist of Justice.
Su_Miso_Sen: Also, Seven Nights at Sakamoto's beat out The Closing Shift by 3 votes. You're all twisted, you know that?
Su_Miso_Sen: *GAME ON EMOJI*
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
AngstyBrooder23: @Malloween a man has the right to dream of what could have been
360YoScope: @IttyBittyBun are you a rival streamer?
"Okay so... I just have to make it through a whole week of working security at this Ryokan! I can do that! BlueMoonCat, you could be on to something, I mean - I kind of feel like yakuza-types are the main ones who'd be interested in a place like this? It sounds spooky!"
And there's the fact that this is, after all, a scream stream... so surely it's going to go from kind of eerie, to worse, right?
The screen goes black, then opens on their first real look at the game: a security room about a dozen monitors, a wooden desk, a rolling chair, and a cordless phone. When she clicks the directional buttons, she can 'turn', revealing a whiteboard with information written on it, and a metal door, currently open. When she turns the other way, she sees some cleaning supplies tucked away, and another metal door, open. Each door has a light beside it, currently red. When she looks at the main screen, she can see buttons.
"Uh... not really feeling secure in this security room, but let's see what these buttons do..." there's a swoosh sound, and with the click of each button, the doors shut. Their lights turn green. The 100% in the corner of her screen ticks down to 99.
"Turning the doors off costs power?! But - why -"
The cordless phone rings. She clicks on it, and the phone shows an animation of it lifting into the air. A voice says, "Hi! Welcome to Sakamoto's! I'm a pre-recorded message from your supervisor, here to tell you all about how to survive your first week! The most important thing to do is get familiar with the doors, because you'll sure need them! See, our automated cleaning staff are great at their jobs, but they sure aren't very friendly to uh, anyone around after dark. See... all the guests are supposed to stay in their rooms at night, so anything they see after dark, they think is a mess that they're supposed to clean. And a person, is a really big mess!"
Usagi stares at the laptop, at the camera, into the souls of every viewer.
"I cannot believe you've done this to me."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Malloween: @unmaskalive0807 Dude you started with *Stellaris*, that did not count as casual lol
(but I have seen THAT)
Malloween: @unmaskalive :thumbs-up emoji: ^_^
Malloween: I haven't played either of them either and seen maybe a few minutes of gameplay but I saw that, yes.
(after the 'to die for' comment)
Malloween: @BlueMoonCat well I gather the game is set in Hades so yes
(are the guests Yakuza? Sounds like it.)
Malloween: @BlueMoonCat: lol
And then the game is revealed. What have they done.
Malloween: I didn't vote for this! I'm so sorry, and good luck! (b^^)b
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
IttyBittyBun: @unmask <3 <3 <3
IttyBittyBun: @BlueMoonCat that makes a lot of sense
IttyBittyBun: I now have more reservations
IttyBittyBun: the cameras are for gathering blackmail material, clearly
IttyBittyBun: @MissCamellia I know right?
IttyBittyBun: the scariest part of this game so far is that someone might actually think this is a good idea.
IttyBittyBun: @360YoScope no.
Chibiusa is totally doing that thing where she types things like 'lol' and 'rofl' in the chat while in the real world her face is dead still. Occasionally she glances over at Usagi. Small Lady isn't really wearing a full costume but she does put her bunny-eared top hat on because sometimes she wants to feel like a fancy lady.
Silently she watches the stream, and as she hears the recorded message she makes a face.
IttyBittyBun: Nice knowing you, hophop-chan. dibs on your stuff.
- Nanoha Takamachi has posed:
Nanoha Takamachi cackles outloud when HopHopBunnyChan stares into the camera, and then types.
>> StarlightStarbright: Well **I** voted for The Closing Shift, but I guess I got beat out!
StarlightStarbright: She gonna get clean sweeped!
StarlightStarbright: Repeat After Me! Clean Sweep!
A String of people start 'chanting', textually: 'Clean Sweep!', spamming it into chat!
StarlightStarbright: Clean Sweep!
This is gonna be a mess for a mods. WILL SHE GET BANNED?
"Nanoha! Chore time!" calls mom from down the stairs.
"Awwwww." goes Nanoha and she leaves the stream to go do chores. Chores have saved her tonight to being pulled into an awful game of game awfulness, later!
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
A person, a big mess? Yeah, that sounded about right...
Hinoiri couldn't help but grin as she watched Usagi mug for the camera. Oh, that poor bunny was doomed.
ShimmerCode: So, you got doors and stuff, right? I'm guessing they don't want you to vandalize them or anything. Can you leave the room at least? Find out what other resources you have available?
ShimmerCode: Seems kind of weird to even need a security guard, though, if the robots themselves are going about and being all like... dangerous to anything out there.
Survive the first week... Did Obsidian make this game?
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru's fingertips touch Usagi's arm -- amusement, the mental image of Kazuo's server room. Also, ~be brave, my love~! A wash of sparkles and heartbubbles. And then he takes his hand away, going back to typing.
unmaskalive0807: yay sumisosen hi
unmaskalive0807: lmao hopchan is gonna sit on you @ittybittybun
unmaskalive0807: i appreciate you grumbling about me it makes me feel effective, @angst
- Koji Silvia has posed:
Su_Miso_Sen has posted a new poll!
Question: How many nights will HopHopBunnyChan last?
1> 2 Nights
2> 4 Nights
3> Makes it all the way
4> Dies more than once
15 minutes to tabulate votes!
Su_Miso_Sen: *ANIMATED GIF OF ANIME GIRL DOING A TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE, BUT IT'S JUST PUTTING ON HOCKEY GEAR, AND THEN KICKING IN THE DOOR OF A PUBLIC BATHROOM WHILE HOLDING A MOP.*
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Malloween: 4
Malloween: Sorry. Again I have not played but I am guessing you will see the jumpscares a *lot*.
Malloween: Also so many reservations was a great joke good job @IttyBittyBun
Malloween: @ShimmerCode I think it just is a horror game. Although maybe they are finding victims for the animatronics on purpose? Hmm...
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"IttyBittyBun, you can only get my stuff if you beat this game!"
The contact with Mamoru shows her amusement and sense of rising fear - the fun kind not the terror kind - though there's terror, too. The mental image of Kazuo's security room makes her smile.
Even Hop has accepted her coming doom, though she settles into play the game with grim determination. With the message out of the way, the night starts out slowly, with the first few hours of game time passing with Hop checking the security cameras, checking the lights by the security doors, and not actually seeing anything.
"Okay, this isn't so bad! You guys were so wrong about me not surviving the first night -"
SHHHHHHNG! RAAAAR!
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
A sequence of noises, to accompany the flash of actions - Hop had checked the lights by the doors, revealing not empty space, but a large sweeping machine with many whirring bristles and brooms on its lower half, and bright red lights, eerily placed like eyes.
The door is slammed shut, and the roaring noise continues, as the sweeping machine rams the door, taking 5% off the remaining power supply in one fell swoop.
"50 0! From just it showing up ONE TIME?! That's not fair!"
The rest of the night progresses from there, with different cleaning equipment showing up - from a power washer that tries to blast the door down, to a window scraper into on scraping her into paste. Somehow, she survives the first night.
"HA! I PROVED YOU ALL WRONG! I SURVIVED A NIGHT AT SAKAMOTO'S!"
Behind Usagi, the screens of the arcade cabinets shift - instead of showing off the title screens of various games, they each glow with a dark purple light. An ominous feeling begins to spread in the arcade.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
IttyBittyBun: @unmask she'll have to catch me first
IttyBittyBun: @Malloween ty it was right there
The poll comes up. Chibiusa stares directly at Usagi's eyes as she hits 4.
IttyBittyBun: hophop I could beat you ez don't even pretend.
The first jumpscare happens. Chibiusa's hand covers her mouth, and she makes no noise, but Usagi and Mamoru both can see her wide open red eyes. She stares at Usagi for a silent moment.
Ugh. Now she looks weak. She let herself get scared and everything now looks scary. The ominous feeling spreading through the arcade is surely just her mind playing tricks on her, right? She's a big girl now, and she's not going to fall for things like that.
... Yet she can't help but notice the arcade screens.
She waves with her arms to get Mamoru's attention, and then she points at one of the purple glowing screens. Is that normal?
- Makoto Kino has posed:
MissCamellia: 3!
It's not that Mako actually thinks Usagi is going to make it through the whole game without dying. She feels like she should be supportive, though, and predicting an early demise hardly seems supportive.
MissCamellia: thanks I hate it
MissCamellia: this is why it's best to just hire a proper staff and pay them for their discretion!
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Malloween: Oh so jumpscares are not deaths! I did not know that.
Malloween: Man now that I actually see these machines, with things I've heard about the story I'm getting kinda SOMA vibes.
Malloween: I need to finish that game one of these days.
Malloween: I guess that was a horror game too but I put it down when the game didn't respect me finding a way to solve a puzzle without being a horrible person so I may have actually missed most of it.
Malloween: Probably be rather long for a stream like this too.
Malloween: Woo you survived one night at Sakamoto's! Good job Hop! \o/
Malloween: Oh I love the trick with the screens damn how long did it take to set that up?
Malloween: Maybe it's some trick with reflections?
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
@BlueMoonCat to @Malloween: Yup, that's what I was getting at :3
Veronica puts a 'FullMarks' reaction to IttyBittyBun's 'blackmail material' comment.
@BlueMoonCat to @IttyBittyBun: Wouldn't surprise me if they keep tabs on each other too
The game does do a good job at setting up the atmosphere, Veronica has to admit. Having two doors that lead only to darkness, and you can only see one at a time is plenty spooky. There is no way the hallway will have any illumination at night.
@BlueMoonCat says: So the staff is murderous
@BlueMoonCat says: No wonder guests don't like seeing people
@BlueMoonCat says: Hang in there, BunnyChan
@BlueMoonCat says: Can the staff open your doors from the outside?
At the poll, Veronica clicks on 3.
She slightly jumps in her seat when the machine first appear, smirking nervously each time it rams the door.
@BlueMoonCat says: The heck was that thing!?
@BlueMoonCat says: At least we know it can't open doors.
- Koji Silvia has posed:
Su_Miso_Sen has posted a lottery!
Su_Miso_Sen: Alright Hoppy Friends, here's the deal.
Su_Miso_Sen: Post a Spoopy emoji in the chat, and be entered into the giveaway!
Su_Miso_Sen: We will be giving away 3 games for the holiday!
Su_Miso_Sen: HopHopBunnyChan is giving away 2 copies of 7 Nights At Sakamoto's, and 1 3000 yen gift card for Game Center Crown (Games or Food!).
Su_Miso_Sen: You have 10 minutes to post your spoopy to the chat.
Su_Miso_Sen: *GIF FROM DARK SOULS OF PC JUST ROLLING, ROLLING, ROLLING, AND DODGING ATTACKS FRANTICALLY*
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
BookWyrm: I vote she makes it all the way, someone has to be cheering her on!
Rashmi does not... honestly believe that her friend is *likely* to get that far, but hey if she does then soneone gets to have called it! And anyway the longshot bets are the most fun.
Camped out at a table in the lunch dome, she has her snacks, her drinks, and her laptop in front of her for some high-calorie en-ter-tain-ment!
...At which point the first jumpscare happens, startling a squeak from her that gets the brief attention of a passing janitor.
BookWyrm: What was that?! What...
Absolutely never staying there a single day *why would they--*
BookWyrm: Go, BunnyChan! One down, six to go!
And as the mods announce the giveaway, Rashmi ponders, searches, then...
BookWyrm: *gif of a squishy little anime cat on a red background, glitching into something more Sadako-like, then crumbling off the bottom of the screen*
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Shimmercode: 4, and 1. Still think she'll make it through third night, though. She's relentless.
Not even hesitation. She loved her, but. Well... And ohhhhh. She made it through the first night without dying! She cocked an eye a the jumpscare. Those kinds of things just... never really did have much an effect on her. It wasn't that she didn't get scared, lots of things scared her... just not those kinds of things.
Shimmercode: Way to go, girl!
However, she was engrossed in her own research at first she didn't really notice much outside of the stream... at first...
It wasn't until she caught sight of Chibiusa waving about that she glanced up from her laptop and looked around at the screens. Huh... Was... that a feature? Had... they set that up?
She glanced towards Mamoru... Well, that was part of the reason she was here, to get up and assist if there was trouble and so he could stay by Usagi's side. She got to her feet and headed back towards one of the machines... making sure to check one that would be off the camera's feed...

unmaskalive0807: is that $*&(^$^ thing what you guys meant by clean sweep bc...
The small hairs on the back of Mamoru's neck stand on end, and he leans up from the computer, frowning. He turns to look at Usagi, and his hand creeps over her arm again. He's spooked, and he stands up in all his underdressed glory to frown at the dark purple glow, fingertips still touching her. Don't worry, he urges without formally defined words, and then thinks of their transformation sequences-- they can just henshin if something else decides to attack. He'll keep an eye out! Wait no, Chibiusa will keep an eye out! 8D
He types.
unmaskalive0807: the purple monitors are not us. furuhata-san could be messing with us, i would
Then he gets out his phone and starts texting. He walks over to his alt-future daughter and leans down to say quietly, "Probably henshin."
Then he comes back to his spot at the table and sits back down in front of his tablet. He nods to Hinoiri where she is offcamera, then types again.
unmaskalive0807: ok if the power goes out it was nice knowing you
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
The second night starts. The arcade cabinets are glowing purple, and more of the machines seem to be turning on that just those that were on at the start. When Hinoiri draws near, the purple glow begins to ripple with black, creating an outward reaching pattern like stones dropped in water.
"Thank you to everyone who's being so supportive! I'm definitely going to make it all the way through the game! Nothing's going to stop me! It looks like I can't leave this one room, so I guess I've just got to stop the staff from getting to me for the next six nights. That wasn't too bad though!"
Usagi hasn't noticed what's happening behind her, though the mention of it from Amy makes her take pause, and then there's Mamoru touching her, sharing his impression, and she goes pale with nerves, eyes wide on screen.
"Huh? Huh?! Furuhata-san - he must be playing games, ahaha, making sure to get some fun in..."
AngstyBrooder23: even the arcade knows that hop's not making it!
360YoScope: whoa, that effect is pretty cool though... kinda mesmerizing...
The game's phone rings. Usagi clicks the answer button, nervous. "Oh, HopHopBunnyChan, you just might be too much of a gamer for us. Why don't we play a more challenging game, with you and all your friends?"
HUH?!
The lights in the arcade go out, all the screens taking on that rippling pattern of purple and black. The chat riots with excitement, wondering what kind of ARG stunt Hop is up to this Halloween.
The lights come back on. HopHopBunnychan is still streaming, but her camera has disappeared, leaving the gamescreen taking up the whole visual feed. The game's internal camera has backed up, showing a third person view of the space - and the many colorful figures populating it.
Sailor Moon stares at the open doors of the security room, tips head back, and yells to the ceiling for all to hear, "I HATE HALLOWEEN!"
The chat explodes with excited reactions.
AngstyBrooder23: IT'S A COLLAB
AngstyBrooder23: HOPCHAN MUST BEEN COLLABING WITH THE DEVELOPERS
360YoScope: maybe the devs for the Sailor V game too, everyone knows Hop loves that thing
AngstyBrooder23: i can't believe she collabed with Eclipse Gaming!

Rin, Pyo, To, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen.
Beads of sweat roll down her face as she peers into the flame. 'Come on, spirits. Give me something.' she wills. She wants to be helpful. She's not been as present as the other senshi, being called away by one thing or another, including on one case to just stand around and look dignified because her father actually remembered she existed when he needed her... for about a day. She shakes her long raven hair, no, now isn't the time to focus on that.
But why is the only thing she keeps seeing in the flames the streets of Juuban Ward? 'This doesn't help me at all!' she thinks to herself.
Rin, Pyo, To, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen.
Her brow furrows. And she does see something. But it's still not information on Mamoru's brother or the new transfer student. In fact, it's still a street in Juuban Ward, but she can recognize it now. And specifically one of the storefronts. The Crown Arcade, a shadow forming over it and overtaking it, a different threat in a different place but much more present. A place where Usagi was - her teammate, her Princess, her friend. "Usagi-chan?!" she blurts out, and it's actually about two DIFFERENT Usagis in trouble, as she breaks her trance. And Rei hardly had time to even think about what she was doing as she rose and extinguished the flames, stopping only to make sure there were no embers before drawing her henshin pen from within her robes and running out the door.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Chibiusa pointedly does not enter the giveaway. She is staring at the screens. She swears that they are staring back into her soul. Can a thing without eyes truly stare? In this moment, she believes they can. Alt-papa comes up to her and makes a recommendation, and then Chibiusa takes a glance at her alt-mom, and then the camera, and then Hinoiri, and decides to take a short trip to the small lady's room.
A moment later, Sailor Chibimoon comes back and sits down right where Chibiusa was. Still staring at the purple screens. Still getting a bit apprehensive. Luna-P has gone back to catball form and is hovering behind her, which means that she's not chatting anymore.
Suddenly the world shifts. Chibimoon grips her catball and yelps. "Did we just...?" she starts to ask, as if she doesn't already know the answer. Her red eyes go to the doors, the monitors, the phone... oh no.
They're in the game.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
Ardace cabinets are glowing purple, and a couple people are making cryptic comments... concerning. Hopefully if something *does* happen, she reflects as she monches on a salty cone-shaped corn snack, she can fly there in time to help out...?
But then that message comes in over the phone, and chat begins to explode with delight. 'Her and all her friends?' Oh boy. She's just pushing out of her chair, as reality goes black all around her. Reflexively, she starts to activate her Barrier Jacket--
--And bwips into existence in the middle of falling on her face in a *much* more crowded, and spookier room. Already in henshin. For a moment, disorientation reigns, but a familiar voice cuts through the confusion.
'I HATE HALLOWEEN!'
"...Oh good we're in the game," Rashmi grumbles as she climbs to her feet. "I hope this doesn't take an *actual* week, but y'know, whatever? Is everyone okay?"
- Kazuo Saitou has posed:
LeftUnsupervised has been oddly quiet this stream; there's a measurably lower percentage of lightly trolly joking in the chat than usual as a result.
Those in the arcade are aware that that's because it's hard to type with a gauntlet like that. Kazuo had insisted that he was not dressing up to match Mamoru all the way through till he turned up in costume, right down to contacts for Thanatos' pale golden eyes. Somehow, he has yet to catch anything on the immense prop scythe.
He has also yet to sit down, because managing that much hardware is a job in and of itself. As a result, he's been keeping an eye out further away from the stream feed.
When his phone buzzes quietly, though, he doesn't even look at the message. Just turns toward the group, and starts to move (carefully, aware of the feed) to meet up with Hinoiri.
... he is almost regretful when the game Helps With That, and upon their manifesting in the security room, he is no longer black-cloaked.
"This is ridiculous," he mutters, already turning to orient on one of the doors. They're going to have to fight power washers?
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
'If the lights go out...'
Mamoru really shouldn't've tempted fate like that. But Usagi's been trying to teach him not to blame himself for everything! So instead, he who was Zagreus is now Tuxedo Mask, and his preemptive earplugs for obviously for the scream stream make him uniquely capable of withstanding the 'I hate halloween' from right next to it.
"It'll be fine," Tuxedo Kamen says reassuringly, "we'll just have to make really big messes, repeatedly, that they have to clean up to get to us. Right?"
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Hinoiri Kirara blinked when.... Oh crud. All the lights were out. She could feel it... There was magic in the air. This was not going to be good. She reached for her device, but-- Too late.
They were in the game. She blinked and glanced around and...
Cure La Licorne was here and she tapped Sailor Moon on the back.
"Hey, relax," La Licorne said with a shrug. "We just need to, what... survive the night, right? It doesn't say IT has to survive, so violence is the answer here. Well. Arson."
... "Wait, can we leave this room?" It was a game... so she walked to the edge of the door... and stuck an arm out.
She couldn't go ten seconds before she decided to result to arson, violence or experimentation, could she?
- Koji Silvia has posed:
As the primary Moderator for Usagi's streams as HopHopBunnyChan, and her unfortunate stream-partner in Call of Duty, Koji has priviliges that other do not...
Such as being able to kill the stream remotely for Usagi, which has been used in the past when this have gotten weird.
When the lights begi to flicker and the purple glow happens again, all he can think about is Walpurgisnacht, that rainstorm, and the massive fight. So immediately, he's adding in the picture of Usagi's COD avatar in a sniper pose with a target reticle around it, with the words of 'BOOM! THE STREAM HAS BEEN HEADSHOT! PLEASE BE PATIENT WHILE WE RESPAWN...'.
But as his finger is just about to hit enter, it turns into purple smoke, an effect that travels up Koji's arm quickly and over his body as his eyes go wide in shock, but it's an eyeblink as the reverse effect happens inside of the game-space, and his finger jams down on the floor.
Standing up in Henshin, just in time to hear Sailor Moon's complaint about the season, he looks down at himself and can only think 'Well... at least I'm not here in my PJ pants.'...
*5 Seconds Earlier*
Koji was sitting in front of his laptop, in his dorm room, wearing SD Gundam pajamas, and a well-worn t-shirt that has (Caution: Live Wire) on it in orange with a stick figure being shocked.
*Back in the Present*
"Video game levels, video game rules... okay... who's actually played this game before?"
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
A spoopy emoji... What could there be...
Veronica clicks her tongue when her first search leads her to Snoopy the dog. Did she stutter?
She corrects the second p into a k, and the search loads.
Scrolling down... That one will do.
Veronica's cursore pokes on the window of the stream in the corner, restoring it go full size, and reacts with an emoji of a zombie reattaching its arm.
She takes a deep breath and exhales with relief once the second day starts and Usagi's voice ripples through the air. Whew, that thing was unnerving. She doesn't want to imagine what it must have been like to Usagi.
Her fingers start tapping on the keyboard when she notices gross purple lines on her screen. Did the graphic card break? Already? "Please, not now", she murmurs, already moving the cursor over to the settings.
Come on, she doesn't want to miss Usagi's stream!
But before she can actually change screen, the purple light grows, fragments of black appearing in between, and she can unmistakably feel the dark energy.
The black grows and erupts, and just like that her room disappears until she finds herself in right next to Usagi and Rashmi, facing very familiar doors.
Chatoyante can feel both the hair on the back of her neck and her fur stand straighter, and she grips her broom-brush tighter. "Can I say I prefer the cursed paintings?", she speaks in a whisper.
"I am ok, you? How do you feel?", she raises her voice, looking at Rashmi.

Malloween: I don't want the game but I wouldn't mind the gift card.
She's looking for a good gif to use when the game addresses HopHopBunnyChan BY NAME IN AUDIO. "WHAT?!" Amy shouts. And just as she's wondering if they need to henshin and get over there, everything goes dark.
Not just the screen. Everything.
It's not a power outage. There's no beep of the UPS. There's no...
Malloween's got an avatar in the game too! At least, the body type and specific hues of red hair and eyes would suggest it might be based on the person who may have tried streaming a few times under that name but never really gotten big into it. Bit of an unusual choice for a magical girl outfit, a little bit sci-fi-ish, but recognizably a magical girl nonetheless.
'I HATE HALLOWEEN!'
Amy jumps. Looks around. Rashmi says it before she can. "You're okay!" Amy rushes up to Usagi to--
She pauses and looks down at her arms just to check

She looks to Mamoru. "Do they actually care about messes? I've never played the game, I just thought that their goal was to stuff us all into--" and then she turns with alarm as Cure la Licorne moves for one of the doors -- the red Puella Magi tries to get into position off to the side to see into the room at an angle past Licorne.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
What those watching the stream see is what appears to be an entirely new mode of Seven Nights, one where it's a third-person 16-bit game showing a number of brightly colored figures now crowded into the not-quite-as-familiar security room, moving around, speaking to each other with text bubbles that pop up above their heads, and exploring the arena.
What's happening in real life, at the arcade, and at plenty of abandoned computers, is that whatever screen was showing the stream - or reflecting it - is now purple and black, pulsing ominously.
What's happening in the game?
R
Well, as Cure La Licorne sticks her arm out into the darkness, she'll feel a whole lot of nothing. Just plain ol' open air. It seems that they can now leave the room, and aren't just trapped waiting for the cleaning staff to come to them.
"BEWARE, HOPHOPBUNNYCHAN, YOUR ENERGY IS - wait a minute, who are you?"
The voice that had been speaking over the game's phone is now just filling the air, and it's distinctly full of confused annoyance.
"You're not the streamer I was looking for! What's going on here?!"
Sailor Moon crosses her arms, then reconsiders and uncrosses them, pointing up at the ceiling.
"That's what we should be asking! What kind of jerk tries to kidnap a streamer, anyway?! This isn't even good publicity-"
BZZZZT! It's a buzzer sound, loud, echoing through the facility. The voice returns. "Nope! You're wrong! You might not be the target audience, but you're still here, and I'll still get all of your energy once I've turned you all into scraps of meat and bone for the garbage disposal! Oh cleaaaaaning staaaaaaff~ We've got a mess in the security wing. Come clean it up."
From both ends of the security room comes the distant sound of machine whirring in their direction.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
Because *of course* this nitwit would think he misaimed. Not for the five hundredth time, Rashmi thinks a silent thank you to the Veil, then draws in a deep breath. "Well," says the Page Mage, shifting over to stand next to La Licorne and peer both ways down the hall. "I guess it's time to just make as big a mess as we possibly can. Who wants which door, cos we could probably just scour our way down the halls?"
Already she's ensured that Solar Shield is on auto-load, because in a place like this jumpscares are not just a mean trick.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"Let's close one door so we have a headstart, and scour our way ahead through the door that's got an arm sticking out of it," says Tuxedo Mask reasonably, his gloved hand briefly touching Sailor Moon's shoulder and going around her as she's yelling at the ceiling. He heads for the door that Hinoiri is NOT next to, and goes to shut it. "Sorry, Hanzo, I've never played. Or even watched lets plays. Or seen memes."
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Really big messes.
Sailor Chibimoon goes from scowling to smirking. "Does that mean we get to make a mess of the place?"
'You might not be the target audience, but you're still here, and I'll still get all of your energy once I've turned you all into scraps of meat and bone for the garbage disposal!'
Oh. Oh wow. This is a murder attempt aimed at some random streamer? Chibimoon blinks as she hears that. Oh Wow. WOW. "I won't forgive you," is her simple, calm response while staring at the ceiling at wherever she thinks the voice might be coming from.
They can leave the room, and Chibimoon isn't waiting for the enemy to come to her. There's a door, presumably with a hallway and a robot army coming at them. "If the robots don't poof into dust or explode after we beat them, maybe we could pile them up and make a barricade?"
- Koji Silvia has posed:
With a quiet bit of something under Koji's breath, the mahou known as Hanzo creates a screen in front of him and goes through some data scrolling there. Once he finds what he's looking for, he just closes the screen and then does something completely counterintuitive...
He de-Henshins!
So there is Koji Silvia, in SD Gundam PJ Pants and that Live Wire T-shirt, holding a folding smartphone in his hands!
He turns and he presses it into Sailor Moon's hands as he quietly cups his hand and whispers to her, causeing his chat-blurbs to be mostly blocked from the screen and from the youma, "Listen... this is a video game. Video game rules, video game logic. Shin Hanzo has all of the information from the internet on Seven Nights At Sakamoto's. Strategy Guides, speedrunner videos and tricks, all the things I was supposed to watch for in the stream. You're the player, and this is your session. It's up to you to survive the night."
And with that he steps back from her, and throws his hands up in frustration, "Screw this... it's just a game... what's the worst it can do!"
As he actually runs for the blackness of one of the doors, he yells out, "Hanzo! GUEST MODE! SAILOR MOON!"
<< AFFIRMATIVE. GUEST MODE ENABLED. >>
Not 3 seconds as he passes through the door, there is the sound of a machine passing by...
Something grinding...
A Scream...
Anyone close to the door is splashed with blood!
And a slowly spreading pool of it begins to enter the room...
From the Voice, "Oh MY GAWD! HE ran right into it?! Who does that? BWAAHHAHAHHAHA! OMG you chumps are gonna be so easy if you're all like that! Oh this is RICH! HAHAHAHAHAA! *WHEEZE*!"
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Okay, so some unknown youma or Dark General did this. Whatever this is.
At the sound of distant mechanical whirring, Amy summons the P-92 Warrant pistol (so much crossover) and racks the slide with her off-hand to make a dramatic sound effect.
Then she looks around for any speakers, "Wait, what? I thought they were the ghosts of hotel guests that were put in the machines somehow trying to put new folks into other machines..."
She looks to the others.and to the others. "Wait, has she got it right, is that all it is, the machines just shred people to scraps? Was that all like, crazy fan theories? I have not played the game I do not know what the actual story is."
And then Koji runs through the door and--
"That was an illusion, right?!" she hisses to whoever's nearby, then conjures a lit flare in her off-hand and tosses it through the doorway to light up the next room in flickering red as she lifts the pistol in a two-handed grip, ready to shoot any machine there.
- Kazuo Saitou has posed:
"Right," Kunzite says to Chibimoon, and then -
He eyes the door Koji ran through.
Both hands start to lift - but slowly; there are a lot of people crowding around that door, and --
Ah. Amy with the flare. Kunzite curtails his shadows so that he doesn't put out her flare by accident, and settles for keeping an eye on the door Tuxedo Kamen powered shut. Odds that he trusts this voice on the network to play fair? Zero.
(It'd be tempting to power it down. But better to wait till he has more of an idea what it'll do.)
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Cure La Licorne blinked a few times before giving a light grunt and then stretched out, cracking her fingers up and over her head. "Nnnnngggg... Never played this one before... So it's like, the game where all the washing equipment comes into the room and you like, break it as it comes, trying to go for the high score, right? Like... that one game? With the swords, staffs, warhammers and so much explosives and blowing things up until we get the combo breakers?" she asked.
"..."
Wait... Did Koji just... Cure La Licorne was... now... covered in blood and...
Okay, you know what? That did it. THAT. DID. IT. She just... stared. "Gonna... gonna need a moment." As she just walked to the corner and sat down. Yup. Give her a minute, please. That was... Jump scares? Okay. Just a game. Probably. He wasn't dead, right? He... Oh... that was... Oh wow...
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Chatoyante stands straighter, looking at where La Licorne Is testing the boundaries of the room. "Wouldn't you know it? Good thinking, La Licorne." She has never been sucked into a videogame before, but all fictional worlds made real must be following the same logic then.
Her ears flatten when the loud buzzer uselessly try to drown out Sailor Moon's opposition. "You would do well to pay attention, speaker voice. Sounds like your plan is all sorts of off."
"I say first we take care of the approaching machines, then we explore", Chatoyante raises her brush, pointing it at the door. She wanted to give her Halloween costume a test run, right? No test run better than this one. Her heart beats a bit faster as she waits for the cleaners to get into range.
"It would be less taxing than keeping our shields up", Chatoyante smiles at Chibiusa, conveying a calm she doesn't really feel.
The cat thief's eyes widen widen as she hears Koji's scream, snapping in its direction. Why would he do that? "It has to be", she replies with a shudder to Puella Red.
- Rei Hino has posed:
From behind the closed door comes a very loud and very upset young woman's voice.
FIRE... SOUL!
And the sound of something heavy and metal hitting the ground, as well as the brilliant bright orange glow of *very* hot metal in the center of the door for just a moment.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
There are a couple of people who offer Sailor Moon a moment of general comfort, and she gets herself together, only for Koji to come close, and she's ready to pick his brain for game survival tricks, only he's...
"Huh? Well, I'm the player, but it's not like the youma knows th-"
It's not like the youma knows that. It's trying to kill them, but it's just trying to kill them all, not targeting anyone in particular. Is that... a good thing? Is that helpful? She's opening her mouth to ask, when there's the weight of Hanzo in her hands, and then Koji is just a normal kid in pajamas, and she stares in horror -
"Wait, DON'T-" it's too late. There's the sound of grinding, the scream of pain, the splash of blood that coats Cure La Licorne from head to toe, and Usagi shrieks.
Out in the real world, the streamers cheer as the blood pools. The chat is full of appreciation for the unexpected horror twist!
In Koji's dorm room, awareness floods back to his body, even as the energy drains out of it. He's awake in the real world once more, even if his body isn't quite as responsive as he'd hope... and even if Hanzo seems to be shut down, consciousness still in the game.
In the game, the sound of approaching machinery has stopped, with Koji's death. They hear the sound of cleaning equipment whirring, and then, the machines on the side with the open door withdraw. On the security cameras, they can see that a pool of 16-bit blood and bits has been partially cleaned, and that the machines have respawned at their starting sites.
It is 1am. The night ends at 6am.
And the other door is heating up, so Sailor Moon scrambles between everyone to slap the button and open the door, revealing Sailor Mars. There's a broken machine smoking behind her.
"Mars-chan!! Get in here, quick!"
As soon as Mars is inside, Sailor Moon slaps the door shut once more.
"Before he did... that, Hanzo said he thought that we need to beat the game, and Hanzo has a bunch of strategy guides loaded up... and according to this, to survive the second night, we just need to do what happened on the first night! We have to survive with at least 1% power until 6am!"
- Kazuo Saitou has posed:
Kunzite gestures, and the door darkens where it had begun to glow - in the interest of keeping it from warping and possibly losing the ability to open or close, and also in the interest of snagging that heat for other purposes. He's tempted to go after the machine's remnants, too, but Moon closes the door before he can go that far.
He does not say one word in response to Moon. Because nobody needs him accidentally giving the youma ideas.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Oh, Hanzo is going out. Oh no there's a pool of blood. People are saying it might not be real. Sailor Chibimoon isn't sure what to believe, but she wants to believe that they didn't just lose someone that quickly. "Umm... okay, charging out seems like a bad idea."
Her red eyes give a concerned look to the red hot door. Is someone going to get that? Oh, Moon did. Good. Mars's arrival is met with a wave and a smile but not much else. They are in Survival Mode.
"So they don't blow up or despawn. Maybe," after a pause, she adds, "Though... they could come up and clean themselves up I guess."
Unwilling to risk anyone else, Chibimoon holds Luna-P in her hands above her head and gives the catball a toss out the still open door. The Luna-P Ball apparently still does not fear death. "Tell us what you see," she stages whispers at it. It turns around slowly and scans the halls.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"Wait what Hanzo what are you--"
Koji just *breezes past them,* unhenshined, and runs into the waiting arms of the cleaner... And Rashmi flinches back as blood flies past La Licorne, and spatters over her glasses.
No.
No no no no no not again no no no.
Not another one. Not now.
It had *better* be an illusion, otherwise Rashmi is just going to have to find a way to resurrect Koji, for the *sole purpose* of strangling him to death. If he survived his death ride somehow? That just means one less step.
Rashmi's face hardens, and she leans back to check the monitors. Cameras, check. Power, above 1%, check. Robots, back to starting spots. Perfect.
When Chibi-moon tosses the Luna-P ball out the open door, Rashmi slips into the hallway after it; first to turn and look in the *other* direction, in case there are two directions of attack... then back after Luna-P, a dozen Barrets summoned and ready to loose.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Tuxedo Kamen's face is abruptly as white as his mask as he looks across the room, his eyes wide, so wide. He's frozen there for a second, and then, with his hands in fists at his sides, he says in a voice that's this strangled little thread of horror that's trying to sound normal: "Nobody else do that."
His eyes shift to Cure La Licorne and he unfreezes, coming over to put a hand on her shoulder and offer a towel from out of his hat. "He has to be fine, on the other side. And we can all kill him together. Right?" His voice is quiet, a murmur that carries just enough for the unicorn. Focusing on other people makes it easier to parcel that scream and this blood away.
Then, 'FIRE SOUL!' and a glowing door, and Mamoru starts to move-- but Sailor Moon beats him to it and Rei is in, and then she explains what they need to do, and his eyes gleam. "Well, we can do that while in here, I guess," he says, and then Chibimoon sends a scout, and then Rashmi follows, and Mamoru gives Kazuo a triumphant look because he wasn't the reckless one this time. "Or out there. I guess."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy didn't know Koji super well and now his blood is splattered across her front, but no one would be that reckless, right? He's gonna reappear aaaaaaany moment now and reveal that was just a bunshin/
Aaaaaany moment now.
Any moment now.
He's probably sneaking around invisibly to find the source of the voice. And to fool your enemies, you've got to fool your friends, right? Yeah.
Amy takes her finger off the trigger and lowers the weapon and looks to the others again. "But... there was... whoever that is can just call the machines to attack us. That wasn't in the game, right? Why would they play by the rules?"
And Luna-P is sent ahead to scout! Amy's got her pistol raised and ready to fire again, watching for anything attacking.
"...If, somehow, it does play by the rules..."
Rashmi slips past her.
"Someone should read that strategy guide and make sure we don't let the game get into an unwinnable state. We'll try to keep the machines from getting past us." She hurries forward with Rashmi. Three sets of eyes means they can cover eachother!
...Chibiusa told it to tell them what it sees. Wait, the catball could talk this whole time? Amy wonders what it sounds like. And is there any potential non-creepy answer to that question.

Sailor Mars, runs in high heels clacking along the floor, and the first thing she does is try to hug Usagi #1 and #2, looks around until she lays eyes on Mamoru to ensure he's safe but she respects his space differently. "I'm so glad you're alright, I got an evil premonition and..." she blinks, pauses and stands up straight, running her hand through her hair.
"Ahem." she says, looking to the door she just came in through. "So, killer machines out that way. I'm guessing out that way too?" she asks, pointing at the open door. "Nice color choice. Red's the best." she says to La Licorn because she hasn't fully processed everything coming through.
Before Hanzo's message comes through, she stretches out her hands and fingers. "Alright, which direction are we burning our way out of?" she asks. Because let's face it. She missed being as much a part of the group as much as anything. And it's kinda fun, not that she'd admit it if you asked.
Of course, the fun is reduced when her eyes lock on the pool, and Koji's device explains the rules such as it is. Her face hardens immediately. "Alright then." she says.

Cure La Licorne gave a small, weak nod to Mamoru. "Y-yeah. I... I am going to kill him..." she said. Closing her eyes. Slow, deep breath...
"Does this stupid game have any pools or showers?" she asked. "And where. Are. They?" she asked, before shakily getting to her feet.
"And I don't. Want to hear any warnings, or 'No, don't'. Because trust me. Right now? It'll be more dangerous to get between me and them... than it would be for me to... stay here..."
She was trying, very, very hard to not think about what was on her right now. And was a little twitchy.
But was INTERNALLY SCREAMING. And was in that delightful mix of screaming in UNHOLY AND UNCEASING RAGE and CURLING UP INTO A BALL LIKE A FILLY and sobbing until Sora came and picked her up and took her home and told her it was going to be okay she promised okay?
And she wasn't sure where she'd settle on right now.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Veronica blinks at Hanzo's revelations. So going outside does nothing. At all? "Ok, so, guess that Sailor Moon should stay behind all of us", Chatoyante comments, giving a wave to the Sailor Senshi of the red planet. This wasn't how she thought she would meet again.
"Who else can make shields here besides me and Page Mage?", the feline princess asks, letting moonlight flow through her disguised cane.
She takes a moment to think about how Koji might be doing on the other side, and grunts in agreement to Tuxedo Mask. Horror game or not, they could have done without the easy scare, and she'd rather get out of her without her heart trying to escape her body the whole time.
She really doesn't want to think about the gaping maw of the darkness just out of the door. "Uncloaking Shimmers!", she shouts, sending her mist of moonlight into the hallway, hopefully providing some better illumination.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
In the darkness, Luna-P's scanning shows that the halls of the Ryokan are many and branching, far more than is reasonable for an inn to be. There seem to be an infinite number of hallways and rooms, each spawning in and despawning. The security cameras are showing only a sampling of them at a time, like a map displayed of a game with randomly generated dungeons. Luna-P can see the bloody tracks made by the machines which wound back to their starting zones. They don't seem very good at cleanin-
Something small and fast whizzes past Luna-P to roll over the tracks and unless the small cat toy dodges, it will find itself quite damaged. Two somethings, actually, and the blood they whizz over is gone, replaced with astringent scent of bleach.
Luna-P is small. Rashmi and Amy? They are not. And while there is a length of hallway the opposite path of Luna-P, which Rashmi can look into, it's very dark. Her barrets help by casting light, and revealing another machine, approaching from the distance. This one is the powerwasher, and at the sight of the two girls slipping into the hall it trundles after them and blasts a high pressure spray of boiling water at them.
The voice comes from the ceiling. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, what is that? How'd you make those lights - no way are you sparkles? Not even Thetis got sparkles! I'm gonna get a promotion! And then I'll know what a promotion is! Come on, join your little friend already and die."
There's a tick - the door that's been closed is steadily draining power, and though it's sometime between 1am and 2am, they're already down to 75% power remaining.
Sailor Moon paces back and forth, thinking, thinking, thinking.
"You guys are not allowed to just sacrifice yourselves! Even if you'll just end up back at home, this is scary enough, and I don't want it getting scarier, and aaaaaaa we need more power - wait Rashmi-chan, Amy-cham, you guys JUST saw what happened -"
Hinoiri is asking about showers, and Usagi wants to say that she has no idea, and that it's too dangerous, but...
"This is a ryokan, so the guest rooms should have showers but - those are like, the horror movie kill zone, even I know that!"
With Sarek creating illumination outside, everyone can clearly see the pulsing jets of boiling water blasting at Rashmi, Amy, and Luna-P.
- Kazuo Saitou has posed:
"I can, to an extent," Kunzite says to Chatoyante. "Good against some things, not so good against others." He glances to Moon and Mask. "If you want to conserve power, I can keep an eye on this door and its approach, and close it when there are things coming." So, you know. Three-quarters of the time draining power instead of all of it.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Luna-P gets blasted, and even though it's not a real cat it's starting to develop a certain distaste for water. It bounces down the hall, against the walls, smiling unchanging face spinning as it tries to avoid the hits. Chibimoon is staying inside the room, which seems to be the point, but she calls out, "Abracadabra Pon! Become a parasol!"
For a brief moment there's a big poof of pink smoke, possibly providing a screen for Amy and Rashmi to hide behind. Whether they attempt to retreat or counterattack is up to them. When the smoke clears they see a hovering spiraling umbrella trying to deflect the sprays into the walls, with various degrees of success.
The devices in the room start getting a ping from Luna-P. It's trying to share what she saw with them.
Sailor Chibimoon says, "Um... I think maybe we should stay in here. We just gotta defend the room, right?"
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
Fun fact about ryokans; hallways are square.
Fun fact about Rashmi's Shields; they are circular.
And the moment Rashmi sees a power-washer down the hallway, illuminated by golden Barret Light, the hallway gets a little brighter thanks to the hard-light Solar Shield she erects between it and her.
"Yeah I saw," Rashmi says, voice hard and not a little distracted as the high-temperature water starts battering at her Shield like a siege engine. "But I need *something to shoot.*"
And all dozen Barrets arc out with a wave of her free hand, clumped in groups of three as they slip into the open space in the corners of the hallway, then arrow right toward the murderbot, in just a *stream* of max-power impacts.
One hopes that was enough to do it, because if the crack in her Shield is anything to go by, she's gonna need to replace it soon...
"Luna-P," she calls out as Nicomachea starts receiving the ball's message. "...Actually Chibimoon, can you have Luna-P come closer? I can cover us both if so."
- Rei Hino has posed:
Sailor Mars frowns at the rules, she frowns at the machines, she's generally just really not happy with any of this and she doesn't have even a single problem showing it, crossing her arms and tapping her foot.
"I feel like you guys know more abolut what's going on than me, since I just ran over and pushed my way into this strange space." she admits. "But it looks like this room is more secure than the ones on the cameras, and there are two exits - which means we can always back out of the other one, right?" she offers.
"Everything else just looks like open hallways with no cover or rooms with one way in and out and a wooden door. And let me tell you - it's easy to go through a wood door." she notes. "I think from here we can defend the best." Ah, now that the stakes have been raised to serious, that side of her is much louder than 'hooray I get to burn things' Mars.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Koji is safe. Amy breathes a sigh of relief. "But... he felt that, right?"
She takes her finger off the trigger for a moment and tests -- by pinching herself -- if she can nullify pain in here, while Shin Hanzo explains further.
And she flashes a thumbs-up and a smile at Mars's comment on color choices. "Word."
And then a little cleanbot whizzes past. Trying to track where it went, Amy is looking the wrong way to fire on the powerwasher when it's revealed, and as she notices it she barely has time to dive out of the way of the spray -- or where it would have gone if not for Luna-P and Rashmi's shield.
She can still feel some stray droplets hitting her. "Ya don't gotta boil me! If you are former guests, can't we talk?! Don't do this!"
She gets to her feet, "I just thought of something." and hurries back into the control room, now covered in even more blood from diving to the floor.
She sets the pistol down for a moment, then pulls her right belt pouch off her belt and leaves it on the console, and plucks the soul gem off her glove -- it's suddenly in is 'egg' form -- and sets it on the console too. "No point in a really lucky shot taking me out early."
She says it matter-of-factly but the look in her eyes as she looks to Usagi and Mamoru says she is not unaware of the possibility that this leaves her bodiless (even temporarily) if the machines get her whole body and not just her glove. At least if it comes to that and Mamoru's still up he can telepathy her.
She picks up her gun walks back towards the door, but... her communicator's pinging? She opens it and looks at the images or map. "Oh. Oh shit. I don't think we're fighting our way out of here... The game might never have progreammed an exit."
"Did the barrets do anything?!" She calls out to Rashmi.

"I think that's a good idea, staying in here. It's defensible, yeah. La Licorne, can you de-henshin and re-henshin instead of taking a shower? You can use my cape as a privacy screen," Tuxedo Mask offers, taking it off and giving it over if she accepts. Then he goes and leans out the door to clap a hand on Rashmi's back and pour energy in to her reserve.
He looks at the ceiling where Sailor Moon is yelling, and he calls out, "I actually killed Thetis personally in Paris! It was incredibly cathartic. I guess you're aiming to die better than her, too, huh? Get a whole gang of us to take you out. It'll look good on your resume in the next life."
He blinks at Amy. "Are you nuts? Don't do that in here! Just hide it on yourself, duck behind the door a lot, and roll grenades. They're going to keep respawning..."
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Cure La Licorne was busy wiping blood off herself using the towel helpfully provided by Tuxedo Mask. "*I* am the horror movie kill zone."
She then paused and... glanced over to Tuxedo Mask. Huh. Maybe. "Okay, let's try your method." Now, perhaps normally it wouldn't have worked. But maybe, sensing her distress? The power of magical and wonderful mermaid magic would save her the horrors of the evening and she would come out from behind Tuxedo Mask's cape, no longer blood covered.
"Oh thank Sora," La Licorne said, before giving a small thumbs up. "Okay. Right. So... Ummmm... We can break the machines at least, ri-- actually..." She paused, stepped outside one of the doors and they'd hear a yell, before she leaped up and KICKED the roof! Trying to collapse one of the hallways leading towards the doors.
... Well, that was... one way to... not need to use the door... Before landing and leaping back towards the room.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
"No, no, no, that wasn't nice of you", the moonlit thief chides the machine with a smile once she sees Page Mage and Red are both all right. She is with Moon on this. The less losses they have the better. "Prismatic Wall!"
The blonde magical girl cuts the air with four slashes, right in front of the Page Mage's shield, and the lingering moonlight begins to spread, filling in the empty space, and forming her own protective layer over the solar shield.
"I agree with Chibimoon. We shouldn't really step away from this room. At least not without a plan that improves our chances", the Halloween-clothed mahou comments. "I can become ethereal, for one, and go cause that spill."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
The clock ticks over while they're acting - time is not moving in real time at all, because it's 2am, suddenly, and while they're talking back and forth and reacting, there is a great slam on the closed door that Kunzite has just offered to watch, and the power ticks down... but then the enemy whirrs away.
Sailor Moon swallows. "Kunzite, you watching that door seems like a good idea, since we can't just keep one closed the whole time, I guess..."
As much as she would like to!
Maximum power impacts blow up the power washer once it's spray has fired, and the machine crumbles to bits. On the security camera, anyone can watching can see a new one spawn into existence two hallways over and begins a new patrol, which will inevitably lead it in their direction once more.
Tuxedo Kamen yells up, and the voice returns - "WHOA, seriously? That's pretty rad! This scheme of mine is way more successful though! You humans love to scream and cry and die, and I'm just playing my part in the game! Once I've gotten your energy, we'll be locked and loaded. By the way, do you know what that phrase means? I've always wondered! Just like I've wondered what happens if you spray a human with enough boiling water! Let's find out. Better watch those doors!"
"Um, let's not, and say we didn't! Sarek, if you can cause that spill down the hallway, that would be great - we could maybe even lure them away with a problem!"
There's the sound of another machine taking alert - Kunzite shuts the other door before anyone has to worry, and they hear the machine roll off without attacking, having been caught in time to avoid the extra loss of power from it attacking the door.
Attacking the ceiling is definitely not something the developers ever expected - after all, there's no way for it to work in the game. But here, the game is a piece of reality as much as it is a game, and Cure La Licorne's high-powered kick breaks through the ceiling in a spot where, from her view, the time is displayed, and the ceiling breaks and showers ceiling matter onto the floor... only to be repaired... only to shatter again... only to be repaired... and the click ticks up to 3 am, then back to 2 am, then to 3 am, before settling at 4 am.
"YOU CHEATER!" bellows the youma. "YOU CAN'T JUST GLITCH YOUR WAY THROUGH THE NIGHT!"
- Rei Hino has posed:
The Red High-Heeled Senshi of Passion snaps up at the voice. "Yeah, come down here and you'll be in a worse state than the roof is." she says, her hands balled up into fists and every bit of her body tense, like she's squaring up with the speaker. "I'll make sure of it personally." she yells.
All the same she can feel the energy in her welling up, even if it isn't quite as strong as it was when she thought Usagi was in Clear and Present danger, it's still a threat to her and everyone else in the room.
"Look, I already know Fire Soul can punch right through one." she tells her compatriots. "Field Tested. But we probably want to hold back till we see some others." Then she has an idea. "If we drop one close enough to the door we should pick up the parts. Maybe then we can use the parts for a lot of little distractions." She suggests.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
With the power-washer broken and falling to pieces, Rashmi grabs hold of the Luna-brella's handle, she slips back into the room. "If we need to save power," she says, "I can just keep a Shield in front of an open door, instead of wasting door power."
As Sarek suggests slipping out and causing a mess, Rashmi nods slowly. "When you do that, Sarek, let me give you a little speed boost. Quicker you get there, quicker you can get back, right?"
Ceiling-Salaryman starts complaining about cheating, and the Page Mage takes a long, deep breath, nodding to Mars. "Feel like he's gonna do a little cheating himself before we're done, so we're gonna want to be ready to just mow down an entire hallway full of robots. It might not come to that, but I haven't yet seen a Dark Intern make good choices when against a wall."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"We do not love that!" Amy protests to the voice. "It's pretty awful actually!"
She winces at Tuxedo Mask's shouting, "You heard Hanzo! If the machines get in here and reach the player it's game over anyway!" But she does look a bit stressed and shaken from considering the possibility of 'dying' anyway.
She tries to regain composure by demonstrating knowledge. "Locked means the safety is off and the weapon is in a state it can fire..." She tells the voice, demonstrating flipping the safety on and off her own weapon, then pulling the slide back partway to show there's a round inside the chamber, "...if it is also loaded." She lets it spring back into place.
It's 4AM already? "Damn. That worked well. Go Licorne!"
Amy walks up to one of the doors. "Cleanup on aisle whatever!" And she just hurls an incendiary grenade down the hall like she's pitching a baseball. Fire counts as a mess to clean up, right?
"I wonder if it'll damage the bots too... but I guess it doesn't matter, if they have infinite respawns."
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Luna-Parasol is kinda helplessly tumbling through the air when Rashmi grabs it, rescues it, and brings it back inside. After it poofs back into a catball, it's still spinning and its eyes are spirals. Chibimoon says, "Thank you," and then grabs it with both hands to hug it. Poor thing.
It pings at her, and she says, "I don't know if there's much to really find outside. It's all weird out there, like the hallways change."
Once Luna-P recovers, she turns into the pink rod which Chibs holds in her hands, standing behind Rashi just in case something gets too close to the door and needs to be heart blasted. She turns to Veronica and says, "Just be careful you don't get lost. The way back might stop existing if you get unlucky."
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
"Apparently we can," Cure La Licorne said. "And not the whole night, just part of it, apparently." She flung her hair back with a sigh. "And ahhh. Oh, my dear little Obsidian goon. You haven't learned yet, have you. We're not stuck in here with you. You're stuck in here with *us*."
"Because we're going to beat down your stupid little bots, that timer is going to wind down, then you're going to show your stupid little face and then we're going to make you regret every little decision you made up to this day. Same as we did with Thetis."
She then paused. "... Assuming you can even think back that far. Some of you have memories like... goldfish... Ehhh... whatever." She flung a bit of fire down the hall, illuminating them. Then paused. "Huh... I wonder how flammable things are... Wait, before that. Hey, Pagemage. You can make ice walls or something, right?"
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
"Okie-dokie, count on it", the cat thief winks and turns at Rashmi. "That sounds marvelous", Chatoyante figuratively brightens in response to Rashmi's offer of speed. "I will keep my wits about me", she takes stock of Chibiusa's warning with a smile. She doesn't want to disappear in that way!
Soon enough, she brightens literally too for a brief second, before she fades away with a salute.
Now uncaring of the machines' patrol, she rushes out of their hiding place, unnerved even if she is safe when one comes particularly close to her. 'So creepy', she thinks, slipping right into the bathroom, and appearing back into the world.
Just for as long as it takes to break any faucets she sees, punched and broken out of the walls. Then, it's back the other way, rushing back to the Security Room, following back the mist of moonlight and the Page Mage's solar brightness.
"And voilà!", she exclaims cheerfully, reappearing with a bow. Damage is done, and it will probably take them a long while to fix", she grins.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
4 AM ticks over to 5am as the heroes discuss strategy and make threats, and with just an hour of game time left, an accusation of cheating in the air, it seems the game decides to kick into overdrive. Threats to the Voice's life have made it pretty antsy, and with all the mess that's been created, the Cleaning Staff are ready to do their jobs.
"You're right! If you're going to cheat, I can cheat! SO CHEAT I WILL! FACE AN ENDLESS SWARM!"
No matter how many bodies they must process to do so!
A swarm of them begins to spawn and roll out - the security cameras show them approaching, swarming towards the heroes.
...except the Princess of Sarek has demolished a bathroom, resulting in a continual flooding of a region of map, not to mention clumps of wet toilet paper, piles of broken porcelain, more mess than these cleaning obsessed robots who might be ghosts can hope to ignore.
And the ceiling came down and is glitched, so an entire corridor is blocked, as the cleaning staff try to remove the debris.
From both doorways, there are streams of cleaning robots coming - some try to blast boiling bleach into the room, others are literal knife-roombas, zipping for the doors and trying to get in low. There's the grinders, with multiple rows of sawing, grinding teeth, ready to devour flesh, and the sweepers trying to catch and twist anything in their path, and now, when they're destroyed, the debris is vanishing. It's not giving them a chance to make a stack of bodies as Chibi Moon suggested when they first arrived.
Sailor Moon takes a look at their power supply - 25% percent and dropping - and calls, "If anyone can work on the breakers, we need power! I think he's draining us, we had a lot more than that! But we're not going down to a bunch of cheaters!"
She grabs her tiara and rushes for the door, even with the scary robots bearing down.
"Moon Tiara Action!"
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"I can," Rashmi says to La Licorne, bobbing her head. And as Usagi rushes the door, she nods her thanks to Mamoru for keeping her toped off, and... thumps the button to open the door.
====WHAT THE STEAM WATCHERS SEE====
The screen wipes black, and a stylized drawing of the Page Mage in an attack pose wipes in from the left. On the bottom left of the screen, text prints out:
SOLAR SHIELD -- GLACE SHIFT
------------
"Raise up one another, that all may bathe in light."
====WHAT HER ALLIES SEE====
A magical seal spreads out, and Rashmi holds one hand down each side of the hallway.
<< *BONG!* >> << SOLAR SHIELD -- GLACE SHIFT >>
And on either side of her, with *just* enough room to allow a few people in the space between the Shields with her, a pair of walls of golden ice *force* themselves into being, thick and viciously spiked at the outer edge.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Right by the breaker box, Tuxedo Kamen crouches on the floor, hand glowing as he pours energy in and uses every sense but his eyes to tell what he can blow up and what is friends and teammates, and he says serenely, "Tuxedo la Smoking Crater."
A second's silence, and then the floors and ceiling shake as down the hall there's another explosion. One of the cameras fuzzes out for a second, and when it returns, it's blurry and showing a smoking crater where there used to be a section of hall.
Crouching? He sits, right on the floor next to Kunzite feeding power into the breakers, and keeps his hands on the floor. "Tuxedo la Smoking Crater!" he calls out louder.
Another explosion, and he tilts his head back against the wall, eyes still shut, and laughs out a third "Tuxedo la Smoking Crater!" but it's clear he's starting to flag.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Chibimoon looks relieved when Sarek makes it back safely. She sees the time ticking down and they are so close, even if they technically cheated a bit. Well, it's not like they asked to be dragged into a spooky nightmare pocket dimension.
The robot armies come, and Chibimoon stands behind Rashmi's shields and shoots her magic through them. Pink glittery hearts fire out from the top of her pink rod, creating a heartbeam that tears through enemies, bouncing off of them and attacking more cleaning robots.
"Pink Sugar Heart Attack!"
The future princess keeps firing down the hall at the encroaching armies, and even if the bodies aren't really piling up like she hoped she can still help keep them back just with sustained firepower.
Well, for as long as she can sustain it. After the third or fourth Heart Attack, she's feeling a bit drained. Like father like daughter.
"You know, generally it's better to be nice to the help, but usually the help isn't trying to murder us."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
When the cameras show an endless horde of robots, Amy just starts chucking grenades down the hall one after another, as Tuxedo Mask suggested. "Moon!" She conjures a stack of disc-shaped explosives for her friend to throw.
Unfortunately, she stopped to do that at exactly the wrong time, not seeing the bots reach attack range for a critical split second.
"AAAGH!" Numbing pain is great and all, but it doesn't work retroactively; she falls to the ground with a scream and bots swarm up to her to make her last moments very terrible--
But she is a Puella Magi and a Witch could do worse than this. The automatic pain shutoff is triggered and from the ground as the robots cut and bite and slice into her, she aims and point-blank-blasts the horde with repeated explosions and shaped-charge jets as long as they keep coming.
They can only hope that what's done to their bodies in here doesn't last or Amy and Tuxedo Mask are going to have a very long and unpleasant night ahead... but at least she's alive! For now!
- Rei Hino has posed:
Things are serious, yes. The voice has declined to come down and get a direct butt kicking, but Rei can still get some of her anger out on the machine swarm. And in fact, she needs to. Because otherwise things are going to get very bad.
As soon as there's a clear spot, a line of bots, she clasps her hands together, fingers interlocked except the two pointer fingers, sticking outwards, where a tiny spark roars to life as a ball of flame. And once more she calls it out.
"FIRE... SOUL!" She calls as the gout of magical flame launches from her fingers, ripping down the hallway leaving melted holes in the youma bots it strikes and continues on through. And if you watch here there might, even in this moment, be the slightest smile on her face as her attack 'purifies' its way through several bots.
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Cure La Licorne is quite pleased to hear that, yes, there is ice shields. "Wonderful!" And so, once again, arsen! She glances around and soon...
Gathering what flammables she can...
"Just grab whatever you can and lob," she offers. There's a lot of fire power here and a lot of what she does is purifying flames. However, she CAN light more flammable things up, and then just THROW!
"And that is very true, Chibimoon! Being nice to the help is *very* important. But only when it is NOT trying to kill you. Then? molotovs for EVERYBODY!" Before she threw one and BOOM!
"Ahhhh, it's like chemo-mancy 101 all over again..." she said with a little glee.
"You know, I think I really needed this, the last week has been *really* stressful. Getting it out of my system with some mild arson and violence is really helpful, thanks idiot youma."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Sailor Moon takes the disc shaped explosives, and when she hurls them, they gleam with bright cosmic energy - BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!!
But the horde is rushing them, and they're running out of energy. There are so many of them, coming constantly, that -
Ice up, making defensible walls to fall back behind. Explosions, cratering halls. Pink hearts, flying down to knock back and destroy enemies.
To the stream, it's a glorious 16-bit ode to destruction, lasers and blasts and discs of pixels racing out, flames spiraling and appearing, destroying little monsters of pixels. The chat is having a blast, raving about how crazy-cool it is to see what has to be an animated project created as a collaboration between the Sailor V team and Eclipse Gaming. They're not sure how it came to be, but that's beyond the point! The point is that HopHopBunnyChan's stream is showing something never before seen, and it's attracting views like nothing else on a Sunday night.
But in the game? The heroes are vindicating themselves. Cut loose, Sailor Mars and Cure La Licorne demonstrate what fire power can really do. Rashmi's shields hold back the crush, even as her allies destroy the would be murderers. Kunzite turns the power up, power surging back into the systems - 30% - 35% - 40% -
And the Princess of Sarek shines bright with new light as she helps her friends turn the tide.
When the clock strikes 6 AM, a burst of confetti falls from the ceiling as a canned cheer plays.
YOU SURVIVED NIGHT 2!
"NO!" The youma cries out, and the screens fritz as they display a violet figure - a 16-bit man with black spots for eyes that reaches through the screens, only to dissolve into a shower of pixels. "YOU BEAT ME -"
As the last pixel falls, the world goes dark.
Our heroes wake in the real world, back in their pajamas, their costumes, whatever they had been wearing, a touch tired, but uninjured.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
In one moment, Rashmi was holding back the tide that her friends might crush it; at one point, she collapsed the ice shield *herself,* using the kinetic force to *shove* the horde of robots back, only to reestablish it a moment later.
Because this jerk interrupted HopHopBunnyChan, and *he doesn't get to have nice things.*
And they're winning! They're holding it back, and thanks to Kunzite the power is *climbing,* so as long as they can hold out the win condition is in sight--
Confetti and cheers! They have survived night 2!
In the next moment, Rashmi is lurching upright at her table with a gasp, as the ominous pulsing purple turns to a violet and black sprite, who promptly de-rezzes before he can have his temper tantrum.
For a moment, Rashmi sits back, catching breath and wits, and waiting for her heart to slow down.
And then she pokes the number of one of Koji's known burner phones.

The night is over, they survived, the youma is apparently defeated. Chibimoon is right in the middle of another, ""Pink Sugar He--," when everything fades away.
She freezes still, fortunately stopping short of launching an attack at the arcade cabinets. The smallest senshi lets her rod down, glances over to her teen alt-parents, and then heads back to her bar stool to take a seat. Her henshin drops with a soft magical fizzing noise and a brief flash of pink, and she's back in her sailor outfit with her bunny-eared top hat.
She's still behind the camera. Luna-P hovers at her side, turns into a phone, and goes back to the stream to read through the chat log. Well, at least the audience liked it.
Small Lady yawns. She is tired bun.
- Rei Hino has posed:
It's Sailor Mars that entered the world of the game the hard way - by breaking in rather than being pulled in - and so it's Sailor Mars who appears for just a moment, roughly right behind where she entered - the place Usagi was streaming from. But she's only there for a brief moment before she has the good sense to let out a startled noise and scamper offscreen, out of the camera to be at the same place Chibi-Usa is.
For now the Soldier of Fire and Passion remains in her henshin, but she also keeps nearby in case the obviously tired Chibiusa needs to be saved... from tipping over sideways in her bar stool. Princess protection can take many forms.

Standing up, Mamoru leans to kiss Usagi's head, then moves away toward Chibiusa, smiling at Kazuo on the way and giving Hinoiri a thumbs-up. He holds a hand out to the pink-haired child. "Time to go home?"
- Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
"Of course we won! What did you think was going to happen? Our friends were with us and there was no way any of us were gonna let each other down! Especially not when we could all fight together!" Cure La Licorne said.
And then... then they were back in the real world. And she let out a sigh of relief. Once she was sure they were secure... she... ended her henshin and motioned them to mute the microphone for a second. "I've spent the last few days yelling at Riventon... I don't have it in me to yell at Koji right now, believe it or not. Can one of you kill him?"
"Urg... poor choice of words..." she muttered, covering her mouth at the word choice.
She then sat down and just... crossed her arms and rested her head on them. She was gonna need to play some other games for a while.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy looks up at the confetti. She couldn't feel what the bots did, but she hopes she guessed right and that this isn't permanent...
And then she's in front of her computer. Looking at the screen on which the stream, apparently, is still going and has been still going.
She looks down at her arms just to check that they're not all torn up--
And then with a start, looks for her soul gem -- right on her finger where expected.
Should... she type something? She tries to read the vibe of the chat and how people are treating this.
Malloween: Well, that was certainly something!
It's faster than messaging all of them, after all.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
One of the things that proves that this was real - that it happened - is that Amy Faust's soul gem shows a little more corruption, evidence of her using magic for the battle. Another is that Koji is wiped. A third is that all of them are tired.
Another is the presence of Sailor Mars, behind Usagi for just a second, which causes the chat to start spamming COSPLAYER! COLLAB! YO HOP ARE YOU GONNA BE THE MAIN CHARACTER -
"Ahaha - haha - I hope you all enjoyed this totally planned, totally normal Scream Stream! Thanks for joining us! Good night!!!"
She shuts down the stream and then drops her head onto her laptop.
"Rei-chan, I don't know how you knew that was going down but... thanks for joining us. Hinoiri-chan, I'm so sorry about him, I had no idea he'd do that..."
Everyone's tired after all that - and while the chat is buzzing, Usagi is yawning, and turning to her friends. At least the arcade isn't a mess, so they really can just take their stuff and go.
The chat though? They're going to be circulating videos of this for ages. And Eclipse Gaming is going to be looking at partnering with the mysterious firm behind the Sailor V materials to really bankroll some collaborations...
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy decides to play it off by acting like she's /pretending/ this was a thing that really happened as a gimmick for the stream. Since the times she's tried streaming she just rolled with the streaming-persona lore that she's a magical girl... Hopefully people get that she refuses to break character and so questions about what's actually going on will get no answer here.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Small Lady smiles up at Sailor Mars, happy to get her support right now. Then Mamoru is offering her a hand and she reaches out for it. "Yeah. Time to go home."
Usagi has turned off the stream, which... fair enough. How could anyone follow that up? Besides, everyone was entertained, so all's well that ends well.
Her feelings are: tired, annoyed, vaguely happy that it's over and hopeful that tonight's youma attack is actually over.
