Cast of Characters: Hinoiri Kirara, Mamoru Chiba, Double Trouble, Setsuna Meiou

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker blinked a few times...

She received a message from Mamoru. He was in his room and his company just left. She sent him a message bag, he was on his way.

Sugata was on his feet. Texting someone? Could she finish him off...

Yes. It wouldn't be hard. She'd seen what he could do. She'd destroy him...

Was the applause Double Trouble's way of saying she was giving an applause? Or that she wanted an applause for whatever led to this?

It was them, so it could be either or.

But when the choices came vengeance or... No. She would not lose them. That boy was insignificant. But if Double Trouble perished... if she lost... No...

NO! She refused. That was not something that would, could, happen. She scooped up the dying reptile and erupted with fire. Exploding fire in all directions in her wake, one final 'SCREW YOU!' to Sugata before she was gone. A moment later appearing in Mamoru Chiba's dorm room. "Fix them!" she all but YELLED! The panic flooding her voice. "Fix them fix them FIX THEM or I SWEAR I will burn this damn world to the GROUND!" she yelled.

The sorrow, the fear, the anger, all of it swirling in her movements, her voice, in the very flames that surrounded her and Double Trouble, who she'd lightly place down... Before pulling back. Mamoru might even notice that while Double Trouble wouldn't have any burns... Sunbreaker? Did.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Mamoru's in his room and there's a big calico cat on his bed, who immediately arches into halloween-mode when there's a yelling on-fire teleport into the room and the smell of blood.

Mamoru shoves the window open -- they're on the second floor! -- and the cat jumps on him, then on the desk, then out the window (second floor second floor) (it'll be fine it'll be fine). "Ow," he winces as he's turning back around and throwing the covers off his bed. "Put them down here, stop yelling," he commands, and he reaches for Double Trouble to touch their skin in a non-broken-bone part as soon as he's able.

And then whoosh, he henshins straight into his super-mode, do not pass Tuxedo, do not collect Kamen dollars-- and the golden glow is bright, brighter than usual. "What hit them? Anything that could leave an infection?" he asks, businesslike.

And this time it's Double Trouble's turn to feel the effect:

The pain is gone almost instantly ("Don't move even if it stopped hurting. You have a lot of broken bones. I'll do what I can but you need to stay still.") but the awareness that it should be there does not go away, an insistent thing. He handles their lungs first, then their head-- too much there. Internal organs. It's like being where the sun is warm on the rocks and there's no fighting, it's quiet and safe, it's the place to go to hide when everything is wrong, it's the strength of mountains and the secrecy of caves, it's having enough--

"This is going to take a while," says Prince Endymion to Sunbreaker, glancing up, blue eyes steady but preoccupied.

Double Trouble has posed:
Double Trouble didn't feel the effect. Not at first. They weren't feeling anything. They were unconscious. But the warm healing energy that radiated through their body from Endymion's hands brought them around. Just enough for them to make a sound. A groan. Not dead. They're not dead.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker was staring down at Double Trouble, trying not to be too panicked. But definitely pacing. Back. And forth. Anxiety filling her.

"You have to help her," she whispered softly. Pacing back and forth, arms wrapped around her.

"It was... one of them. One of you stupid sparkle skirts. That one who's with that dancing person. Kingu or something. Oh, I swear next time I see him, damn the rules! I'll tear him limb from limb and make him choke on his own--" then stopped. Deeeep breath. "But.... you can fix them... right? I don't know why they did it... I don't *care* why they did it. If they want to come after me, that's fine. But to come after *them*?!"

The flames had tappered back... for a minute. But, once again, they were flaring up. "I want... to hurt them. I want to hurt them and I don't want to ever *stop* hurting them... but... but I need to. Be. Calm. For them. You... you can fix this... right? What do you need? What do you need?!" she asked, slamming both her palms down on the coffee table and staring at him with an intensity that could almost burn.

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"I need you to calm down or leave," Endymion says quietly, "because I am working on them and interrupting me is counterproductive. Get some snacks for them when they wake up. Rehydration stuff, like Gatorade. Put a sign on the door that says 'healing in progress don't interrupt.' Get some water and soap and washcloths to get the blood off. Worst comes to worst? Go in the dusk zone and explode some monsters, that's what I used to do when I couldn't do anything constructive with my fury--"

The calm stays, and he's not looking at Sunbreaker; Double Trouble groans, and he says to them again, "Don't try to move yet."

His armored knee is on the floor, his hand is over Double Trouble's hand, and the glow suffuses them both, brighter wherever Endymion's working at the moment. Right now, that's still DT's chest. "It's going to take at least half an hour," he says, "to get to their bones. And then I'll only be able to get so much... DT is going to be out of action for a while. You'll need to talk to Nurse Meiou, she's in the know, she can help with casts and the like. I'll make sure their spine and skull are okay, and do what I can otherwise, but this is a lot worse than a sword through the gut."

Double Trouble has posed:
That was an instruction with which Double Trouble had no problem complying. They were pretty sure they couldn't move. They were virtually certain they would never move again. They were frankly quite amazed they weren't dead. Thank goodness for. Well. Whoever this was. Didn't look like Mamoru or Hematite even if it did look like the ceiling of his room. They heard Sunbreaker and they thought of smiling. Nope, they couldn't even move that.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker nodded. "Can't.... calm down. Trying... can't. I'll get... I'll get snacks. I'll get.... I'll get everything they need. I'll... I'll have them in my room. Just... need to get rid of my roommate for a few days or weeks or whatever... ugh. I'll figure it out..." Yes, even now she was trying to cover for her. She'd then set about the tasks. "Can't... go to the dusk zone. If... I start blasting things, I don't think I'll stop. If he comes for them... I'll... I'll kill him. I swear I'll kill him..." He'd seen her upset, hurt, angry before. But he'd never seen her like this. SHE'D never even seen herself like this. The darkness on her was so strong she'd occasionally have to sizzle out bits of fire for getting too intense. "I'll get... the nurse."

A moment later she was in the nurse's office, noting the posts, the void, all of it but this time she DISRUPTED her entrance monologue, as well as her witty catch phrase of the day, to instead grab her arm. "Come... with me... hurt. He... hurt them," Sunbreaker said. Not brooking argument. She'd had to grab things from here once before, at least, so she knew where to grab some of the stuff and drag it with her. A moment later, the nurse would find themselves in the room. Released.

And burns were now drawn up Sunbreaker's right arm. Where she'd grabbed Setsuna, but the nurse would be unharmed. "Tell me what you need. I'll get it." Pause. "If... this stuff isn't it... What else do you need? Quickly. Now."

Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Sunbreaker's sudden appearance, grab, and teleport catches Nurse Meiou by surprise...but as the two materialize in the room, her free arm is already moving to strike with the spine of the book in her off hand...however, she immediately ceases her attack the moment she can see what's in the room with her.

The Prince in FULL Prince mode rather than just his Tuxedo form in particular grabs her attention.

If he's in THAT form...well...as some might say '$*1! got real, yo'.

The book literally disappears in her hand as she turns to take a quick step over towards where Endymion is apparently keeping a green young woman more or less stable.

Dropping to the floor next to them, she does a VERY quick look over...then takes a deep breath and starts to say something...

...only to stop herself and look around as she realizes she's still on campus.

She lifts her watch, and says into it in a clear voice, "Niti-chan, remote unlock all doors and open cooler room door, please."

Her watch makes a beep that gives the impression of being affirmative, then she looks over at Sunbreaker and, while her expression carries a note of exasperation, she doesn't hesitate to snap off orders to the redhead in that way that medical practitioners in the middle of an emergency are taught, "Okay, I'm going to need the brown kit, the blue kit, and probably the red one, too. They're all lined up on the back counter, I think you'll remember where they are. Then you're going to need to go into the cooler and get me one bag marked 'O', a bag marked 'plasma' and a bag marked 'saline'."

That said, she apparently dismisses Sunbreaker from her attention and immediately turns back to Double Trouble and performing a closer examination. As she does, she asks, "Does what you're doing right now give you any information that will help me, here? Right now the most important information I need is whether her blood is compatible with human blood and if so, what type. If not, we're just going to have to use neutral fluids and do the best we can."

Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"It does," says Endymion, preoccupied, "it isn't compatible. I'm working on internal injuries right now. If you have a way to collect blood pooling internally I can divert it, I just-- I can't get it to go back in, myself. But it's not on the floor. They have some spinal damage I'm going to handle next, and one hell of a concussion which I'll handle after that. But... there are so many breaks, Meiou-san..."

He's answering like a combat medic, quick and succinct, right up until the last where he sounds a little lost. "They're not going to be up and about for... a while. Even for a magical. I can get the fractures but I can't set anything and I'm-- this is a lot, I'm sorry, they were--"

He waits until Sunbreaker's not in the room before saying, "Whatever happened, they were almost dead when Sunbreaker brought them here. Their heart took damage. I'm surprised there's only a concussion."

Double Trouble has posed:
They couldn't move, but Double Trouble could hear everything. They could see everything that was directly above them and in their peripheral vision. They just couldn't move. But they could hear Sunbreaker absolutely falling apart over them, and it made tears stream down their face. She really did love them. Not that they had any doubts. Of course she did. But it still felt so good to see her an absolute mess because they almost died. Almost. They didn't die. They weren't dying. They were only almost dead.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker nodded quickly. "On it," she said, disappearing. It wouldn't take her long to return. And they might notice there were a few more burns on her leg, now. "There's... a broken window... in the nurse's office now. Setsuna. Sorry. I tried... not to break anything but... discharge... had to happen. Just... need to let it out... in small bursts..."

"... If... I try... and let it out... at once... I will find him... *I will kill him*... just... need to... control it... what... else do you... need?" she asked.

Basically screaming 'tell me to do something because I CANNOT sit idle right now or bad things may happen.'

"... I should... have been there. I gave them that jewel... so I could protect them... and I *couldn't even do that*. If he'd been Beryl, it... what is the bucking *point* of any of this if I can't even protect *them?!*" She reached up and gripped her head in both hands, taking a slow, deep breath.

"I won't... lose... them..."

Setsuna Meiou has posed:
Nurse Meiou shakes her head, "Stop. We're in triage mode now. Most life threatening first. If you can point me at where the internal bleeds are, I can drain them. If your magic can reuse that, by all means. If not, just being able to dispose of it will help. After that, we need to work on stopping the bleeds. Once that's done, go for the spinal damage while I set the bones. Once Sunbreaker gets back, I can at least put her on saline solution so her blood pressure doesn't drop too much."

She takes a deep breath, "This is a marathon, not a race. Prioritize. Take care of immediate dangers, then go at the rest in order of severity. Use as little power as you can get away with for each problem and ONLY get it up to a stable state until we've got everything addressed. If there's something that can be taken care of by conventional medicine, let me know about it and focus on the rest."

She sighs, "...I want you to conserve your power for as long as we can...because I rather suspect her biology is nonstandard enough that it might throw us a curveball...and magic is best for that kind of thing."

And then Sunbreaker is back.

Nurse Meiou quickly gets up, grabs the kits, sets them down, then opens the red one and moves back over to where she was before and starts pulling on gloves.

She's about to dismiss Sunbreaker from her awareness again...then she notes what's going on with the redhead.

Realizing THIS needs to be headed off before it becomes a complication, she blinks, then nods and points to the brown kit, "Okay, open that. Towards the bottom, there should be a box marked 'plaster'. It has some instructions. You'll need a bowl and hot water, get them arranged and ready for when we need to set things. Also, some clean socks that you don't mind losing will help, long ones."

Directions given, she turns back and gloves up, grabbing tools to start working with Endymion.

Hinoiri Kirara has posed:
Sunbreaker nodded and, with direction given? She quickly got right back to work. Opening the kit. Part of it was... torn open. As she got to work. Soon making the plaster as directed. After a few moments, however, she spoke up.

"Sparkle... boy. Tell your friends. Get. That Kingu character. Under. Control. If this happens again. If he does anything even *approaching* this. To anyone. Ever. again. Especially to Double Trouble?"

"The rules are done. If you want to come after me, that's one thing. But I will not. Let. Anyone. Harm them. They are *mine*. So tell your friends to get him under control. *Or I will*. As well as any of the rest of you sparkles who try to stand in my way. This never happens again. One way. Or another."

Despite the fact she was literally on fire and the heat rising off of her was enough to heat the bowl of water by itself... those words were distressingly cold.
