| Synopsis: | Director Riventon takes another stab at stealing Wawna from Wako - this time with the aim of snatching Samekh, too. Ginga Otome, Ginga Kingu, and Ginga Hanma put up a fight, but all seeems hopeless until the Ginga Bishounen makes his Dashing Entrance! |
| Cast of Characters: | Takashi Agera, Wako Agemaki, Sugata Shindo, Chiyo Sakai, Takuto Tsunashi |
- Takashi Agera has posed:
It's a cold day in Tokyo today, and few people are out using the Riverside Path between the Juuban and Pikarigaoka wards than would be on a nicer day - most of those who are, are just using it for transit rather than sightseeing.
And high above, in the sky, is a sight most people simply would ignore if they saw it, because people in Tokyo do not fly. But this one does.
His labcoat wrapped around him as an armored brace, and floating around looking for - not anyone specific, today, just getting out and maybe looking for a little energy snack - is a white-haired scientist that many of the magical citizens of Tokyo know far too well - Riventon. Now, Director Riventon.
But what he ends up spotting isn't just a good target for energy drain or an interesting magic item to acquire, but a group of three people, two of whom he recognizes from previous encounters. Sugata Shindo, Wako Agemaki, and someone he has vague awareness of - he's maybe met her before, maybe at school, maybe a friend of a friend? Or, maybe it was the Veil, and that familiarity came because like the other two, she'd been problematic in henshin.
Still, Riventon's never been happy with his prior engagements with Sugata and Wako - given he's not stolen Wako's robot or beaten up Sugata. Maybe today... is the day to change that.
He goes from keeping his energy signature hidden to letting it out all at once, along with the first spell of the encounter - a barrier to keep them in.
<GEFANGIS DER DUNKLEN MAGIE.> calls Axion, and a semicircular barrier arises, pushing the real world (and nonmagical civlians) out of the area, and keeping his targets in.
Riventon lands across the other side of the path from them after the world changes to the slight Dark Energy polluted by colateral-damage-free world of the Barrier and calls out to the three of them. "I'm here to take what's mine... but I'll give you a moment to henshin, so that I don't have to hear you whining about a sneak attack when I walk off with those little robots of yours." Robots. He's increased his greed from Wako's robot to Sugata's as well.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
"Aren't they cool?" Oblivious for the moment to what Riventon is planning above, Wako is busy showing Chiyo one of the business cards Sugata had made for her. It's pale peach-colored paper with a pink bubble motif:
Wako Agemaki
Ginga Otome
It has her phone number on the back.
"I have a different set for singing gigs, too," she says proudly. "If you want some for Nounamu, we can totally--
She breaks off when the barrier goes up, and Riventon descends. Wako stares at him for a moment before bringing her hand up to her face. "Seriously?"
In the next second it connects in her brain that he said 'robots' instead of 'robot'. Without even pausing to look, she shoots a hand out to grab Sugata's arm. "Don't even think about it!" she scolds him - not that he could hand Samekh over, even if he wanted to, but that is distinctly beside the point. "Apprivoiser!"
- Sugata Shindo has posed:
It had been a nice enough day. Peaceful. The chill coming off the river not too difficult to manage with a simple winter coat, the three of them talking about business cards and showing them off.
"They come in surprisingly handy, even if Wako didn't want a set without her phone number on them," Sugata adds, casual and relaxed.
A mistake, clearly, because a barrier opens seconds later, and Riventon crashes their conversation, all mad scientist coat and device, and asking for their robots -
How much trouble could he actually get up to with Samekh's form and none of his power? Very little. It'd be funny, actua-
"Too late," he informs Wako, the mark on his chest glowing under his coat. He lies, "I already decided not to. A petty thief doesn't deserve anything from us."
And then thrusts his arm into the air, calling out for his transformation, "Apprivoiser!"
- Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Chiyo Sakai walks on one side of Wako so that Sugata still has a side he can be next to his fiance without interruption. It was a habit she'd fallen into long ago and one that seemed fitting after all. Her attention is currently riveted on the card that is being shown with a grin.
"That is a really nice card--Oh! I was going to ask if you had ones for your idol work too!" Of course, she still had some time before becoming a real idol but Chiyo was trying to be supportive with it in spite of her own 'history' with idols. Wako was her friend and roommate!
"Oh for the shop? There's an idea--" She begins to consider it when the interruption of a white haired boy suddenly appearing causes her to blink. "Kaz...?" No, no, DEFINITELY not Kazuo/Kunzite.
Recognition flares in her eyes with a spark of sudden anger as she recalls fighting Riventon before. A long time ago when she had a different set of powers. Plus wasn't he at the wedding?
"Riventon!"
She, at least, knows who HE is!
Stepping to the side she swings an arm out to her side calling out (perhaps surprisingly so) in the same way of the others.
"Apprivoiser!"
- Takashi Agera has posed:
Responding to Wako's comment to Sugata, Riventon smiles. "That's right, don't even think about it, just do it. Leave the thinking to those of us properly equipped to actually do it successfully." he adds.
"I am anything but petty." he says, shaking his head. "And think of it less as theft and more... properly allocating resources to where they can do the most good."
And the third participant also transforms - and everyone can see Riventon's eyes light up, like a slot machine player who's got two thirds of the slots lined up and is just waiting on the last to fall. "Oh, there's another one of you, even better." he says. "Yes, I am Riventon, and pleased to make your introduction - sadly it will be breif, as I've got important work to do, so do forgive me. Axion, let's collect our stuff."
<Indeed.> the device responds audiably. A triangular magic circle erupts into existence under Riventon. <<DAMMERUNGSFEUER - GEZEITENMODUS>> (Dusk Barrage - Tidal Mode) Axion calls as several inklike spheres appear in a half-circle around Riventon, twelve in all, first little pinpricks of Dusk Energy then growing to basketball-size orbs. "Dammerungsfeuer... FIRE!" Riventon calls and the orbs launch in a rapid array, four of each of the homing orbs swirling towards each of the Drivers, directed by Riventon and his Device, trying to impact and unleash payloads of icey Dark Energy that freeze whatever they contact in a sheet of black ice-like chill.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
"Aurore Australe!"
A heartbeat after Riventon calls 'Fire!', Ginga Otome throws out both hands. A rippling wave of pink light surges outward to meet the flying orbs of dark energy as they home in on the Star Drivers. Her breath hisses between her teeth as they start to impact, sending shrapnel sprays of black ice from each hissing point of explosion of dark energy meeting purifying light.
"Gosh, you're such a pain!" she declares. "So convinced that you're the one who can make the best 'use' of our partners, and you don't even have any idea of what they are! Get a clue already!"
- Sugata Shindo has posed:
"Star Swordo! Diamante!"
From Ginga Kingu's chest comes the gleaming white Star Sword, pure energy contained within the cross-shaped form of a sword. Those icy-black energy barrets which slip through Ginga Otomo's barrage are slashed and sliced with Dimante, as Ginga Kingu sets to work shoring up their defenses.
"You really are an idiot," he snorts, "She was asking me not to give you my 'robot' for a lark. If anything, you should have been encouraging me to think about it."
His eyes glint with frustration - the barrage of basketball-sized projectiles are mostly being countered, but the effort is enough that he can't fight back without dropping defense entirely.
He's thinking about doing it, too.
- Chiyo Sakai has posed:
"Star Swordo! Turquoise!"
Similar to the sword that Kingu has appear, her own appears. A different color, a different style. Long and slim it's held in hand drawn out to the side.
As the barrage begins she swings it forward to defend--But the glowing Star Sword shifts in it's shape. No longer is it a blade but a war hammer, long and slim but with a blunt head which works well to try and volley attacks away from Wako, and herself.
She grits her teeth in clear frustration as she, too, is purely on the defensive. One of her eyes sparks red as it glows giving the impression she was somehow seeing more than Riventon in front of her.
"You wouldn't like Reshbal, either. You can't handle Truth. I wouldn't waste time trying to argue with him Kingu, Otome," she offers to her friends.
- Takashi Agera has posed:
"I've no reason to believe you fully know what they are either - you're a rather comprimised information source - and the best way to understand something is to research it myself, so there's really no better option." he explains. "Plus, honestly, I owe your blue haired friend there a thrashing." he admits openly.
"You misunderstand, I don't want you thinking at all, even if you do agree with me. Watching other people try, the pained look on their faces as the rusty old gears they call neurons try to turn... it's frankly a little exhausting, when all you really need to do is be good boys and girls and do as you're told."
"Instead, you're going to get hurt." he says. Okay. New girl... Chiyo, his device reminds him, with a big hammer. Sugata with a sword. And then Otome, with purification. But she's also the one not holding a melee weapon.
"You can't cut and bash your way through everything. You'll falter long before I will, anyways!" he says, another triangular magic circle opening up underneath him as he outstretches both hands, one towards Hanma and one towards Kingu - energy crackling and collecing in both hands.
?<SCHATTENSCHLAG... ZWEIFACH.> his device calls, shortly before he does the same. "SCHATTENSCHLAG DOUBLE - FIRE!" he says, unleashing a torrential blast of ink-like energy, like a giant high-pressure water cannon of Duskblast from each hand.
But for Otome, there's just a moment before he tries to move in past the other two as his blast launches, and just tries to grab her with a hand flowing with purple-black energy. Because if he can drain her energy, that's a purification threat reduced. And if not, well, at least he'll be up close to someone who he hasn't seen draw an energy sword or hammer. Seems a logical place to start and get in close.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
As Riventon comes at her, his hand trailing dark energy, a transparent pink shell of light shimmers into being around the Galactic Maiden in a soap-bubble sphere. She leaps up and back, lofting into the air to float overhead.
"How about you quit being such a creep!" she retorts, more pink light already gathering at her fingertips as she glances toward Ginga Hanma. "--I know, I know, but it's hard when he keeps being so wrong!"
As the word 'wrong' leaves her mouth, a shower of pink sparks fly from her fingers to rain down scattershot over Riventon.
- Sugata Shindo has posed:
"...I forgot what a chuuni you are," Ginga Kingu says, voice lifting in a tone of exasperated recognition. Chiyo is right - there's no point in talking to Riventon. There never has been, and given his status, there's no point in even pretending to pull punches to satisfy.
"Star Crash!"
Diamante becomes a streak of energy as Ginga Kingu hurls it for Riventon's head, just as that torrent of energy comes pouring for him. Diamante misses as Riventon surges forward, but the beam strikes dead on, sending Ginga Kingu tumbling back as he's chilled to the bone, darkness latching on and trying to spread doubt, to create fear and insecurity, seeking weaknesses to break through. The cravat loosens, the jacket is torn at the shoulder, and Riventon is going for Wako.
Wako's shields held before Samekh's murderous wrath. There is no doubt in Sugata's mind that they will hold against Riventon.
But for a second time in a handful of months, Ginga Kingu and Samekh are in full sync, the small robot in his bubble of light appearing as light fills the sky high above them, the orbital blast coming down lightning fast. He gives no warning. Wako will hold. Chiyo will move, if she's been paying attention at all in her training.
"King's Pillar!"
- Takuto Tsunashi has posed:
Like three minutes ago:
Takuto bites his tongue instead of his apple, feeling the sharp awareness from Tauburn that the other three have all apprivoised, and his hand goes over his mark for a second, before he dives for his phone. "Sorry, Jii-chan! Sorry! I have to go," he tells his grandfather, texting Wako, Sugata, and Chiyo, asking for an update.
Now:
Three whole minutes passing without a text back from any of them means that there's a sonic boom close enough to the sleepy coastal village Takuto grew up in that windows and dishes all rattle considerably...
And as he makes his way further and further northwards, every time he pours on more speed there's another rattling far below--
--such an INTENSE light lancing down from the heavens like a tiny pin in the far distance, like sustained lightning weirdly charging the clouds and smog above Tokyo, that at the Ginga Bishounen's altitude he can actually see? He knows what that is.
There's another sonic boom as he gets even more determined and goes even faster-- they're in trouble, they're in trouble and he's NOT THERE, they're in TROUBLE...
- Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Ginga Hanma swings forward, then back with a spin, to send a few more of those attacks coming toward them away. Unlike Wako she didn't have purification. Avoiding being hit by them was top priority to her.
"Don't bother--" She blurts out, her voice taking on an odd tone as the light in her eye surges brightly. Another swing comes as the words spill from her as if she were being spoken *through* just a bit.
"He's so riddled with Dark Energy he can't have a single thought unaffected by it."
"GINGA--" She begins only for the words to die on her lips before they can even summon an attack, or defense. Unlike Wako she didn't have protection against Dark Energy attacks. The beam that Riventon fires catches her hard sending her flying back onto the ground. It's an effort as she tumbles not to simply impale herself on her own Star Sword--But it was a hammer right now so perhaps that was a blessing for that reason.
The staff is plunged down into the ground with the intent to pull herself back to her feet before worse can happen.
It does though, as her eyes widen with realization. The red light dies entirely as she stumble-staggers and...
Kings Pillar. This was going to hurt.
- Takashi Agera has posed:
Axion was ready to deal with Star Crash but Riventon was already moving, though even still the device warns him about the power of the attack that just missed him - and also the successful hit on Sugata. He's moved quick enough that his hand impacts Wako's barrier before she gets into the air, and Riventon actually just takes a moment to start floating after her. The sparkshow stops him, though, a triangular barrier appearing in his left hand to shield him as he continues to follow her in advancing upwards.
"I'm not riddled with Dark Energy, I'm blessed by it." He retorts to Hanma. "I see more clearly than any of you. And that's why you're not going to get lucky every time, you're just drawing it out unncessarily... I'm not someone you can just disregard, and you're about to find that out!" he says, trying to force his Dark-Energy coated right hand through Wako's sphere, the two forms of energy crackling against each other.
And those fingers might actually be making it through, but then he hears the words and Axion blares the alarm. <<Notorious Energy Signature Detected!>>
Riventon snarls with frustration and has to pull his hand away from his attempt to grasp Wako and face the brilliant blue light before it overwhelms him.
"Not this time, King Of Nothing!" Riventon yellls defianlty. <<RUNDEN SCHILD. KONIGSMORD POLARISIERT.>> his device calls as a runic circular shield shield that seems to be the same color as King's Pillar erupts in front of Riventon's hand.
The light still sweeps over him and for a moment the battlefield is just King's Pillar, then the smoke and debris of destruction.
And as the smoke clears, Riventon stands still, behind the runic shield albeit with cracks across it with Dark Energy supporting it, a sphere of the same color of energy surrounding him but quickly fading out.
Rapidly he turns to Wako with an almost slasher-smile as he moves back towards her and he tries to move in and take advantage of the disruption and any possible shock at his continued combat-effectiveness, both hands wreathed in Dark Energy like claws and he tries to dig in rip through her shield to get to the mahou behind it. "That took some of my energy - but I'll drain it back from you! And then I'll take whatever the other two have left to give." And he's so focused on working his way through the barrier to drain Wako and get her energy, his eyes glowing a green like envy mixed with greed could be defined in a single color, that he may not immediately notice if Axion warns him about anything else happening.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
Wako's shield flares and fizzes where Riventon's Dark Energy comes to bear against it in his attempt to force through. Forearms crossed in front of her, the Ginga Otome pours her energy into maintaining the gossamer sphere of purifying light against the assault. It takes all her attention, leaving none to attack - but after all, she's not in this alone.
She recognizes the blue radiance of the King's Pillar forming on high immediately; how could she not, after all this time? It takes her another split second to realize that Chiyo's flat-footed after Riventon's beam assault. "Hanma-chan!"
One arm stays poised in front of her. The other flings outward, shaping a half-shield over Ginga Hanma as the torrent of energy slams down over them. For a few breathless moments, she's braced against the meteoric pressure. Then it passes.
Before she can steady herself, Riventon's claws strike her shield, again and again. Pink light flares in response.
The bubble cracks like glass.
- Sugata Shindo has posed:
King's Pillar falls. Ginga Hanma doesn't get out of the way. The part of Ginga Kingu ever in the midst of planning notes that she needs more training, particularly as focused on endurance and recovery.
The rest of him is focusing on the energy stream that connects heaven and earth as he pours his pour into the blow, willing to crush and sunder, to destroy his enemy.
King of Nothing? Ha! If only. That was Riventon's role to play, his cross to bear.
And yet, King's Pillar dissipates and Riventon is still standing, his shield is still standing, and Ginga Kingu is bruised, battered, and aware that he has made a mistake, rested on his laurels, not pushed himself far enough, not taken the battle seriously, and this is the result, his enemy standing at the ready and he unable to meet the threat as the bubble cracks like glass -
"WAKO!"
RAn uncharacteristically emotional cry, as Ginga Kingu lurches forward, energy sparking at his heels as he takes to the sky, energy crackling like spewing sparks as the mark on his chest glows bright with his fury and desperation, and underneath, the terrible fear that had lead a child to carry a knife every moment of his life, until he came into their lives.
He's not here, now, but he will be. Ginga Kingu pushes away the doubt and fear, the foreign rush of emotion he recognizes as the dark energy clinging to him from Riventon's attack, and channels every ounce of himself into calling for another round.
The bubble is only cracked. It will hold. It will hold. It will hold.
"KING'S-"
- Chiyo Sakai has posed:
A spark of light ignites in front of Ginga Hanma as Reshball appears in his little bubble. For all the good it may do the cybody, it does attempt to act as a buffer between the King's Pillar and Chiyo.
The familiar pink shield from Ginga Otome is still a much welcome sight as Hanma ducks her head with eyes clenched tight against the onslaught that occurs all around her drowning out the sound of anything but the fight.
- Takuto Tsunashi has posed:
"APPRIVOISE!"
The ground shakes with a sonic boom over Tokyo which is undoubtedly setting off all kinds of alarms, but... it's not there long enough to do more than blip once on radar and make Axion start pinging notifications like someone just posted a friendfic with him in it or something.
There's a sharp, sudden, resounding CRACK "DASHING!!" in the top of the barrier (SO BRIGHT) and an abrupt new crater inside the King's Pillar crater, and shards of sparkling magic dissipate as they fall around the column of dust-- "ENTRANCE!!"
Rewind. Slow motion playback:
The magical phantom armor Tauburn is made from starlight and the gleam from the depths of rubies, and it wreathes itself around Takuto in flight, shimmering as it locks into form and runs up and down his outfit, streamlining it, shifting its color balance. It gives him a tall folded-over collar like Sugata's; it leaves him lean and tall and fierce behind the heroic and glittering shape of Tauburn, with Tauburn's enigmatic almost-smile and mask and hat and--
That is what shatters through the roof at dizzying cometlike speed, leaving a white-blue contrail behind him, and he comes at Riventon not with hate but with a fiery protective decisiveness that's fueled purely by a clean, crisp rage that sparkles with clarity.
When what you want to do is what you have to do, you can hear the voice of the world.
The world's telling Takuto to punch Riventon down into the ground to get his hands OFF of Wako, and maybe cave his face in like he did to his dad. So he does his best, homing in like a Riv-seeking missile with his fists, and IMPACT--
Dust filters down.
That was not actually a King's Pillar.
- Takashi Agera has posed:
Riventon can feel his energy breaking through, and he'd give credit to Wako for it holding as long as it does, were he in his right mind and in a complimenting mood, neither of which is true. But it cracks, and now Riventon's hand is reaching out for Wako, his fingers just barely brushing against the magical fabric of her henshin uniform, tips reaching it, trying to grab ahdold with one hand.
Sugata is calling out, Another King's Pillar, whatever, Riventon can deal with that, he manifests the same shield, the same color, he'll just press against it again, he'll feed off Wako's energy to do it.
And it all happens in that moment, because Riventon's Barrier-Prison is shattered and only moments after, Riventon's trying to interpose that same shield at what's coming, but what's coming isn't the King's Pillar that it's hardened against, but something very different, and a second shield shatters like glass in so few moments, Takuto's fist empowered by not only Tauburn but the feelings in his heart not only rips through the Aligned Barrier, but is hardly even sent off course as it continues on, and there's just a single satisfying moment where at least Wako and Takuto can see Riventon's eyes widen.
Shortly before his face is impacted by Takuto's empowered fist, deformed slightly, the impact tremors traveling through his face for just a moment, and then...
His body is flung backwards before he can turn the touch of his fingers into a grip, instead impacted away violently like a comet away from Wako, into the ground, leaving a trail in the earth as he continues on for a bit.
Wako's free of the immediate threat, and there's a moment of peace for all Ginga to exchange words and looks.
Just a moment, though, because Riventon slowly raises himself to his feet, a little unsteadily, rips and tears in his barrier labcoat, dirt and dust marring its whiteness, and he absolutely has a bruise on his face and spits out blood from his mouth as he does it.
"Tch. Another impossible miracle at the very last second?" he says, frustration dripping from his voice. "Fine. But this isn't over." he says, looking out at the now four of them. And his hands are crackling with Dark Energy still. "You'll need more than that to put me down. All four of you together, you don't have enough to put me down." he adds.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
Her shield cracks, and Wako cries out in almost the same instant that Sugata does. There's a moment where everything's happening just a little too fast, when Riventon's fingers brush her uniform and she can feel the sick tug as her energy starts to drain.
Then, with a familiarity that makes her heart sing, Tauburn punches a hole in through the barrier and Takuto comes down like a meteor.
She sucks in a breath, touching down not quite steadily on the churned-up and broke ground. "Takuto-kun!"
- Sugata Shindo has posed:
The energy gathers, Ginga Kingu pouring himself into the attack, the syllables shaped on his tongue, the sound about to leave when -
the barrier cracks to pieces when Takuto enters it. Pieces of it fall and shatter away, as Zero Time always did, when the Ginga Bishounen rode to the rescue. The heavenly light fades into nothing as the weight of fear slips away, and Samekh disappears with a 'pop!' and a discordant grumble as Ginga Kingu straightens his shoulders.
Ginga Bishounen Tauburn strikes Riventon into the ground like the warrior he was chosen to be.
Ginga Kingu is too proud, and too frustrated with himself, to cheer, but there's a bright spark of satisfaction and pride when Riventon goes flying backwards, propelled by the sheer force of the Ginga Bishounen's fist.
Sugata does not wait to savor it, but closes the distance - not between himself and Wako and Takuto, but between himself and Chiyo. Takuto will have Wako. Sugata trusts him with that, the way he has from the moment he resigned himself to a plan for Wako's freedom three years ago. His jacket is torn, fine threads singed where frozen darkness had blasted him, but his arms are strong when he grabs Chiyo from the ground, careful but swift, and throws her arm over his shoulder.
Behind them, Riventon is raving.
Above them, the sky glows again with power. It won't be enough, just has it had not been enough when the Glittering Crux reached Third Phase, but it would be a distraction, and that was what they needed. Riventon is right about one thing, loath as Sugata is to admit it - they don't have enough to put him down.
"King's Pillar!"
As light crashes from the heavens once more, Ginga Kingu trusts that he doesn't have to say what the rest of the plan is, from here. With Chiyo's arm thrown over his shoulder, he shoots off into the air, through the whole Takuto created with his entrance, aiming to leave Riventon far behind.
- Chiyo Sakai has posed:
Ginga Hanma reaches out to grasp hold of the miniature form of Reshbal that had appeared intending to use it to help back to her feet. Her own form was more than battered--She was scraped, and cut, and even singed where that blast had hit her. It wasn't something she could bat aside or defend against like she had with the smaller blasts.
No sooner has she gotten one knee beneath her intending to get to her feet than she hears the crash of Takuto's entrance causing her head to lift as she blinks toward the sight of him coming in so dramatically. All practice aside, it was entirely different getting to see the Ginga Bishounen in the glory of an actual fight.
It's a relief when he smashes Riventon away from Wako.
Then Kingu is there hefting her up. Her arm locks around him even as she strains to try and help move. The height difference certainly didn't help but neither did the fact that one foot just pushes on the ground only for her ankle to fail. If she'd tried to stand alone likely she would have gotten no where rather fast. Thankfully 'up' was the direction they go and as she's hauled to safety she lets her head hang a bit mumbling, "Sorry," to Sugata for having been nothing more than a burden in this instance.
- Takuto Tsunashi has posed:
"Keep your hands and your dark energy to yourself," Tauburn-Takuto says fiercely, the resolute face of the Cybody only half-hiding, ghostly as it is, the disgust on Takuto's human features, "and also your opinions! You know no one in this town fights alone, and you know King's Pillar is like a beacon, this place is going to be swarming with mahoujin in a minute. We don't need to be able to put you down by ourselves."
He floats there in midair, his cybody armor's high heeled boots standing on a platform of light, plume above his head gently waving in the breeze. (Please be moving you guys please be moving.) "And guess what! The little robots AREN'T EVEN PHYSICAL OBJECTS, you're wasting EVERYONE'S time!"
Please be mov-- oh good King's Pi-- oh no King's Pillar. Tauburn backs away from Riventon at rocket-powered speed, and his piles fly away and come back to ring around Tauburn's outstretched fist, which then disappears into the wrist and is replaced by a blue-white energy cannon. "TAU PILE CRUSHER!"
FOOM.
Ginga Bishounen Tauburn's flight path takes him first in Wako's direction to scoop her up in his arms, then takes them both awaaaaaay from Riventon. Away away away. Far away. And incidentally in the same direction as the other two, right through the hole Takuto punched in.
- Takashi Agera has posed:
Riventon actually is so far from done that as the King's Pillar gathers, as Takuto chides him, as everything is going on, he's *still* trying to attack - but he has to stop and put that blue barrier to use once more against its intended opponent - even he doesn't want to get caught in King's Pillar and have to actually handle it without a designed resistance. He blasts once with his other hand - an unweildy, uncontained shot, just raw Dark Energy, no call out or Device Spell - and it's only near Takuto, not dead on target. He still has to put the other barrier up to avoid the energy cannon of Pile Crusher - together they give him a tough time covering both hits.
Angry but unable - or unwilling - to chase them further, Riventon's barrier fully fades out when the boy takes his traditional backstep into the Dusk Zone and leaves that way. Empty-handed, once again, to his annoyance, and probably the annoyance of the first solid object he sees after he comes into the Dusk Zone - obliterated in a rage filled blast as he feels the sting from his bruised face and the double sting of leaving with nothing.
