- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
The Earth hangs wide and bright in the sky, visible from where they stand.
Under a dome, intact and whole, the air - for there is air, breathable air, not just magic making nothing into something for guests to manage - is tinged with salt, and filled with the sound of the sea washing up on alabaster shores and up against dams and walls.
Those who arrive stand on a great stone path, leading to a shining castle of white marble-like stone, with a split staircase, leading up to the interior of the palace, lit from within. At the base of the steps are enormous planters, filled with flowering bushes. All around them, along the path, shine bright lights, lamps lit warmly, welcomingly.
It's the Moon Castle, in Capital City, Mare Serenitatis, and the Sea of Serenity is full once more.
The palace itself is an enormous structure at the heart of the Capital City. To modern eyes, it greatly resembles the Taj Mahal, with pillared buildings with rounded rooftops and minarets, and long buildings. Beyond the path to the front of the castle, beyond the split staircase, beyond the grand enormous doors and inside the castle's external walls, there are colorful flower gardens with neat paths through them -- including Jupiter's rose garden -- and courtyards and even a hedge maze.
The maze includes many small private gazebos, beautiful flowers, and plenty of scenery. It's easy to get lost, but luckily, you'll find your way out if you just keep going to the left at every opportunity. That won't get you to the center, though. At the center of the maze garden, is a grove of large trees, providing shelter to a large tables-and-seating area, and hiding pretty Lunarian machines that dispense cute snacks.
In the actual interior of the palace are many rooms, libraries, and even grand banquet halls where balls and parties to celebrate accomplishments and holidays take place. At the secret heart of the Palace is the Crystal Prayer Tower, where prayers can be offered in times of distress, but there are a lot of locked doors between there and here.
The way everyone's getting to the moon is by Senshi teleportation in groups of varying sizes. Right now, it's Tuxedo Mask, who's got some time off to do more wedding setup right now, but as he's warned, he could literally be joined by dark generals at any time while he's there, so security setup stuff might want to wait until he's not actually there.
"I... have no idea where to start," he admits.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
Okay so the first thing Rashmi has to do is... stand there and stare.
She is *on the moon.* There's the Earth hanging in the sky, there's stars going on forever, there's the bright ribbon of the Milky Way, and also *there is an entire ass white marble castle* and if a dragon sailed by then Rashmi might die of sheer fantasy-otaku meltdown.
It's a lot, y'all.
Once she got over standing there, vibrating and making sounds like a teakettle in dire need of being taken off the stove, she joined the rest of the party in the mail hall, enchanted all over again by the sheer *beauty* of Silver Millennium palace construction and decoration. In fact it'll be some time before she can voice a more coherent thought than how *pretty* it all is, but once she *finally* gets her brain in working order, her first question is, "...Okay, well start with where the ceremony's gonna be?"
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Luna has joined Mamoru for this first trip, both helping with the transport itself, and prepared to be a guide, as one with many clear memories of the Capital City.
She isn't a cat, for this trip, and her human form is one a scant few of them have scene - a slender, somewhat frail girl of around seventeen or eighteen, rendered all the more pale by the filtered light from the dome and her long, dark hair - it falls to her waist in wavy masses, drawn up in two buns on either side for a total of four odango. She's wearing a strappy yellow-and-black gown, and her forehead bears the moon's golden sigil.
As Mamoru admits that he's not sure where to start, and Rashmi suggests that they start with the venue, she steps forward a little, clearing her throat a bit.
"I agree with Rashmi-san, Mamoru-san. You and Usagi-chan decided on the main steps, as the primary venue, yes? Walking along that path would help us decide how and where to place the decorations."
Her voice is familiar to many - those who have met Usagi Tsukino's talking cat advisor will now recognize that this girl is that cat. Her red eyes are full of nostalgic joy mingled with sorrow - for those who saw the Fall of the Silver Millennium, this city shines, clean and intact, but silent, save for the faint crash of waves, the whistle of programmed wind through empty streets.
The city is alive, but sleeping. The people are gone, and the Moon has waited for life to return.
- Catra has posed:
Catra comes up with one of the first groups, wearing her Horde jumpsuit and carrying a knapsack slung over one shoulder. It has things in it. Catra's things. Keep your hands off it if you know what's good for you.
Upon first arriving all she really does is look up and stare at the Earth. She plants hands on hips, and her tail twitches behind her a couple of times. "Oh hey so that's what it looks like."
Did... you never look at a globe before, Catra? Guess not.
The feline eventualyl finds her way up beside Mamoru, and just shrugs her shoulderrs. "I don't have any idea either. I don't know anything about weddings, the Horde doesn't teach that stuff. All I know is that two people are supposed to wait to make sure nobody objects or anything, then they say I do and kiss and apparently they're stuck with each other after that until at least one of them dirt-naps out of it."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Oh no she forgot to get a dress. And it'd be a bit odd to wear one of Serenity's or reuse her princess prom dress. Uhhhhhh
Well it's the magical wedding anyway, so she arrives for teleport already transformed but in that alternate outfit she's had a few times, the one that looks more 'magical girl' and less' rocket girl'.
And then she's up here, on the moon, and she looks around, mouth agape, to see all this, to see what it was supposed to look like -- in the memory, she saw only the palace garden, and what it all looked like in ruins.
She looks up.
Earth. Not an Earth consumed by Metallia, burning in fire to attack those with magic, but her Earth. An Earth populated now by billions of humans going about their lives, and their things and technology and stories and everything she has ever known, billions of lives going on right now up there in the sky. A blue ball so far away it cannot be concieved of in any terms of human experience; so far away it takes an entire second for light, for time, for existence itself to cross the distance.
And around it the stars, clearer than she's ever seen them save in others' memory. She stares for a long moment, willing that the sight be remembered.
She'll take pictures with her phone too, of course, but like.
"Wow." She eventually says.
And then she superjumps across the landscape towards the edge of the dome, because she wants to see that, too. The moon that humans have looked up at for so long, and so rarely set foot on, so close that she could touch it but for a transparent barrier. She wonders if there's a way to like, do an EVA later, just to do it, like countless children have imagined at some point in the past 55 years.
Also, her first superjump sends her off flying CRAZY HIGH because of low gravity. The look on her face as she tumbles through the air in a big lazy arc is surely priceless.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
The past few days have been very eventful, but frankly all of it pales in comparison of going to the Moon. Sure, it's a pocket dimension on the actual astral body, but it's still the actual Moon.
Veronica didn't have the opportunity to go into the past dimension caused by Beryl, so this is her first look at the civilization of the Silver Millennium past.
Maybe she has been told what it looked like, maybe not, but either way, the descriptions surely hardly did justice to seeing it for yourself for the first time. Even Crystal Tokyo could only help up to a point, after what Black Moon did to it.
She may have needed a few moments to reboot after taking in the sight. Maybe she will get the opportunity to transform any of this land into paintings once they are done here, depending on the opinion of its future monarchs.
Once the surprise towards the hidden realm was over, she registers the fact that apparently, the moon having seas is a lot more literal in this secret space. What are they like? Do they work any differently compared to the Earth's seas, or are they the same?
So many questions, so many wonders.
She definitely spent a long time getting lost on purpose, and jumping all over with the extra help of the low gravity to get views from any possible directions, but eventually she made her way to the primary venue, with everyone else, meeting up with Luna.
"Luna? So you had a human shape", the Princess of Sarek remarks to the cat girl with interest. She probably shouldn't be that surprised, but she still is. "Thank you for having me over, this place is magnificent."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"A humanoid shape, at least," Luna confirms to the Princess of Sarek, her smile warm. "Artemis, Diana, and I are Mau, with the ability to transition between our two forms at the cost of some of our energy. Normally, I prefer my felinoid shape, but it's much easier to assist you all with opposable thumbs."
She turns, taking in the place they stand, and she points forward - the wide stone path they stand on leads directly to the Moon Palace, which so greatly resembles the Taj Mahal. The split staircase is a familiar sight to those who were here in the ancient past: it is the staircase where Beryl slaughtered the royal guard. There, at the top, is where Prince Endymion was murdered, and where Princess Serenity took her own life.
Surrounding them on all sides is water - not from a sea, but from a water feature, closed in by stone pathing. Tall, thing poles, topped with sconces shaped like flowers line the path.
"The palace is empty, of course, but there is a grand entrance hall through the palace doors, that would be suitable for dancing, after the unpleasantness is done."
- Takashi Agera has posed:
Riventon is On The Moon - well, On The Moon and Dimensionally Shunted Slightly Right. He'd come with Mamoru - he wouldn't have trusted transit with anyone else who could provide it currently, really. His green eyes behind glasses looking around, taking things in. There's a faint hint of being impressed, but it's not the first dimensional otherworld he's been in, nor the first royal grounds he's stepped in. Still, this one is much closer to home - both the place and the people.
He's also keenly aware that there are people around who don't trust him - truthfully, he doesn't blame them, though he might say otherwise verbally - and so he's got his hands, as he often does, buried in labcoat pockets. Axion is, of course, taking an entire laundry list of readings; data, so much data to crunch... but that's for later.
It does look a ton better than it did the last time he saw it, but that's an opinion he somewhat wisely doesn't verbalize. "Moon's nice." he says, instead.
"Better cat and human than human and equine." he adds to Luna.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy hadn't really gotten a good look, before and when everything was ruined they were kind of rushed. But as her superjump takes her far, far higher than expected, and she doesn't hit the dome, and she can't see to the edge from here, she begins to realize that the dome -- if there is one -- is far bigger than she was imagining.
After looking around at her landing point at the empty city, she leaps back, catching the tail end of Luna and Riventon talking as she lands again. "Being a pony was surprisingly fun! But I've never been a cat."
She looks over Riventon. Mamoru's brother. He can, hopefully, be trusted to be peaceful today. "Was it really about the shape, or was KiraKiraFantastica just... not friendly to dark energy?"
If any of the girls are in clothes she hasn't seen before, she also comments: "I like your dress." after looking them over.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"That-- that sounds like a good idea. Yes, Luna," says Tuxedo Mask, gloved hands coming up to tug at his pink-tipped hair briefly as he turns and looks over at the stairs, the stairs where the visitors to the past saw people fighting, dying, burning--
--but the city sleeps, half dreaming, and the gentleman thief bends to take off his shoes and socks, leaving them to one side of the path before stepping away from them and back alongside Catra. "Not even death can separate us," he says matter-of-factly.
"But yeah more or less probably. I've never been to a wedding in this life so I'm not sure." He glances over to her and looks very, very wry. He's extremely tempted to make a comment about not picking any fights until the big one, but decides against it, and starts to pad up the grand avenue barefoot. Wake up a little, wake up, Moon. Good morning, hello.
He tags Riventon's arm on the way and smiles. "Moon's very nice," he agrees. "But what Luna said, yeah, and probably the food can get set up inside the gardens?"
- Erika Shimizu has posed:
"Oh man, har har. Me great great great grandfather would kill to hear about this, he would..."
Erika Shimizu-- JOLLY ROGER is here. Clad in the regalia of a pirate lord.
There's just one problem.
She is on the moon.
She's looking a little uh.
Cursed.
IT's a whole deal with cursed treasure and the light of the moon-- ANYWAY that's not the important thing.
"He was a whaler, that he was... Always dreamed ta go to the moon, ha-har..."
Right.
OF course.
Because whalers on the moon are totally a thing.
Sure.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
Trailing along behind Luna -- Luna has a *humanoid form no less* -- Rashmi does try her very best not to be distracted by things like the lanterns lighting up the 'sea,' the brilliant spires of the castle, Amy practically flinging herself over the horizon...
She's *failing* at not being distracted, but she's trying, okay?
Riventon's appearance *does* earn him a doubletake, but upon remembering that her occasional nemesis is also Mamoru's more-or-less brother, she turns back to Luna's explanations with a simple mental shrug.
Hid Device surely isn't the *only* one taking copious readings of the environment. She *is* attached to the Security Council, and having a baseline will just be useful.
When Mamoru asks about the food being served in the gardens, Rashmi *grins* at finally having something concrete to report on. "If we've got tables we can set up -- and I would be shocked if there weren't -- then absolutely. Also by now we're about halfway done *making* the food, and I'm definitely gonna want to go back early and tag Koji out. He really, really needs to see this."
Erika's appearance, zombie or no, is greeted with a wide grin. "Erika-chan! How've you *been?*"
Y'know, aside from cursed and apparently underfed.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Diana is also here, also in human form. Which is to say that she's a small child who looks maybe a little bit older than Chibiusa with grey hair in a twin bun style (with no tails) and a pale blue dress. She is here with no plan other than to 'be helpful', in whatever capacity that means.
It may mean that she gets tasked with something that a child could do, or it may mean that she simply sits back and cheerleads, or it might be that she helps coordinate by playing messenger girl amongst multiple parties, as she did back in Crystal Tokyo's palace.
Either way, she is here, wearing a tense but friendly smile. Halfway between forced and sincere, bouncing between one or the other depending on who she's talking to.
Upon seeing the reactions of various newcomers, she smiles up to Veronica and Amy and asks, "Is it your first time on the moon?"
She asks this while hopping lightly between her feet, enjoying the reduced gravity. It most certainly isn't her first time here.
- Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Saturn was here and, admittedly, trying to help where she could! And she was... honestly...
Kind of limping. But that was what the glaive was for! The recent ambush had actually left her more hurt than she wanted to admit. Additionally... well... It wasn't often she got to see Riventon outside of work. so when she did see him? She gave a big grin. "Hi Riventon," she said, smiling up at him. "I hear you're going to be the best man this time. I expect you'll be on your best behavior today!" she said happily, a massive, happy grin on her face. She, at least, seemed pretty happy to see him.
"Would you like any help?" she asked Rashmi, smiling over to her but... well... Considering the injury? Probably... not... While she WANTED to help... The senshi of destruction... probably... was going to be spending more time on guard and watch duty than actually fighting...
... And for those wondering... no, it hadn't occurred to her to actually ASK Mamoru to look at her leg. He had ENOUGH trouble, thank you very much. IT WAS HIS WEDDING! HE HAD ENOUGH WORRIES WITHOUT HER GETTING HURT BY AN OBSIDIAN AMBUSH!
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Tuxedo Mask stops in his barefoot tracks when he heard the 'har har', and he looks really pleased until he looks really alarmed. "Jolly Roger! Are you, uh, okay?" She's singing, she must be okay. Right? D:
He does, however, keep walking-- and alongside Rashmi now-- and he nods firmly. "I'm sure there are tables to set up. Probably even already outside. There's no weather here." And then Mamoru grins widely. "Yeah Koji needs some time to bounce around like a pinball."
Then there's Diana, and Mamoru just scoops her up in a twirl-hug without so much as a by-your-leave and sets her down again, pretending nothing just happened-- and there's Hotaru! And she's limping. Tuxedo Mask stops and waits for her to catch up, then takes off his gloves (bare feet on the ground, bare hands--) and offers her a hand. With an unimpressed look.
- Erika Shimizu has posed:
"Rashmi!"
It's been a while hasn't it? Well Erika is all smiles nevertheless. "I feel like it's been ages, lass! ... Prolly 'cause I took a vacation fer a bit. But I wouldn't miss *this* fer all the treasure in the world~."
Says the usually treasure hunting pirate.
To Mamoru she's all smiles still!
It's absolutely ghastly.
"I be fine mate, don't you worry a thing about me! The light o' the moon jus' reveals me true form! Ha-ha-har!"
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
At Mamoru's unimpressed look, Rashmi cannot *help* but smile. "C'mon, Hotaru-chan, you *know* better than that. Watching you *be* hurt is more troubling than asking for healing ever could be. But when I go back, *absolutely* you can come with and help out! I'll show you what to do, we made it easy to put together on purpose."
Looking at Erika, Rashmi manages a much wider grin than Mamoru's hahawtf... Largely because she already had all this conversation about the pirate's curse *ages* ago, and while unsettling... This *is* the same mahou who brought a ghost pirate navy to Paris. "*Yeah* you wouldn't miss it! We're gonna be attending a *wedding on the moon,* and *we can breathe up here* and *look at the starts oh my gosh* and and--"
Pausing, Rashmi closes her eyes, and slaps her cheeks twice, sharply. "...Sorry. Anyway. Ceremony on the steps, buffet in the garden, do we want to *stay* outside the Palace for everything? Because if so, probably we want to have the dance overlooking the water?"
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Yes, regardless of what certain others would say, I can't imagine that having an equine body would be preferable to a felinoid one," Luna says, lips pursed. "Hooves are even less maneuverable than paws..."
She has not been to KiraKiraFantastica, though that may change at some point in the future. For now, she's leading the group along, walking barefoot alongside Mamoru, the white stone cool under her feet. Luna smiles at Diana, but turns to look in concern upon Saturn and Erika both.
"Technically, it's the sunlight, but, I suppose it is still colliding with the Moon's surface, so if the diffusion is all you need to reveal this..."
Hmmmmmmm, that's such a tricky little problem!
"There are tables in the gardens - the center of the maze has the most, and they can be moved, if someone would volunteer to retrieve them. There's nothing stopping anyone from flying over it. This path here could be fine for dancing, though, given the proximity to water, you all may want to stay near the grass than risk falling in."
She's definitely imagining the bride falling in.
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Veronica nods to Luna with understanding. Looking around, it's really clear why she may want to be in a humanoid shape for it, and her experience as a cat was really an eye opener on how hard they might have it in their favoured form, and what it may have been like for Hinoiri when she was first turned into a human.
She raises her eyebrows at Riventon's arrival, but then she remembers her relationship with Mamoru. Yeah, makes sense why he would be here. And you can only come here by invitation, anyway.
She looks over to where Amy is and she waves at her. "How did it go? Did you have enough time to explore everything you wanted?" This place is so big she would need a very long time to map it out completely, but she hopes she at least got all the essential parts in this section of the kingdom.
When Diana remarks on her interest for the secret realm, Veronica nods with an eager grin. "It's all really beautiful. The Silver Millennium people really knew what they were doing with architecture, and the sea is very beautiful too. Quite fresh, even. It's all really impressive."
She looks concerned when Hotaru comes in limping, but the others are already on it. It's really useful when the future king has healing powers. Wait a second... Future king, healing powers... "Oh, gosh, Mamoru, you are Aragorn", she says in a completely astonished tone.
- Hotaru Tomoe has posed:
Sailor Saturn gave a sheepish smile to Tuxedo Mask. "Sorry, senpai... it doesn't hurt that much..." she said softly, before placing her hand in his. It was just a minor sprain. She must have gotten it during the car crumbling. Or maybe the bombardment. Or any of the number of other grand assaults from the other day. Either way...
She gives Riventon another smile. "Let's talk again soon, please," she said, once Tuxedo Mask finished, then smiled up at him. "Thank you, senpai," she said, bowing politely, before walking after Rashmi to go and help her. "Sorry," she said to Rashmi as well. "Is... it bad that I uhhhh.... admittedly... kind of forgot a little bit? It didn't hurt that much so I just kind of... kept tuning it out..." That was NOT healthy...
- Amanda Faust has posed:
First time on the moon?
Amy blinks at this little girl she's never seen before. "Uh. ...Are you a Lunarian? I uh... I only saw a vision of it, in the past... Have... are you from here? Are there people here after all?"
But then Saturn is clearly injured, and AMy looks alarmed. "You were hurt?! But we had... you should've healed before me, I can..." A zombie pirate is here, "uh..."
Amy looks at Erika with moderate concern (only moderate as she is active and singing). "Everything okay? You're looking a little, uh..." And she switches to some pale blue cosplay outfit that's got the traditional hat-with-paper-ward of a Chinese undead. Her hair is in a long braid.
True form? Amy quirks an eyebrow, but looks down at her wrist -- oh wait -- down at the front of her dress -- oh wait -- uhhhhhh...
(Her soul gem ended up as a decoration on the left side of the hat)
After looking around her costume for a moment, NOT finding the soul gem, and starting to look worried about that, she remembers that obviously it must still be on her person as if it were gone she would not be worrying about it. It's a bit like wondering if you forgot your phone while following its driving directions over your car's speakers. Which is also certainly something she's done in the past and may again, one day, in the future.
"So... you really are a zombie... I mean, it was obvious after the Nezha fight but it's been awhile... and I guess I'm kind of a lich, huh..." She looks over Erika. "It's hard to think of you that way but I guess that's how it is for everyone else thinking of me as a rock, huh..."
How did it go?
Amy blinks at Veronica. "Uhhh... no, this place is way bigger than I thought, but I figure there'll be time to see more later, right?" She smiles. "I like your dress!" And blinks in confusion. "Aragorn?"
Also she still doesn't know what the deal with the random child who might be from here is, and looks between the gathered group in mild confusion.
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Diana is suddenly picked up by the groom and WHEEEE!! She giggles as she's spun around and set back down, then starts swaying her hands back and forth because she's happy right now.
She walks along with the others as she looks over the scenery, wondering for a moment if there are differences between her world's version and Luna's. Nothing big stands out to her right now, but the devil is in the details.
Well that's a question to ask later. It's really a miracle that this place still exists at all.
Smiling up to Veronica, she says, "I'm glad you like it! It's very different from what you'd expect to see, looking at here from Earth." Then when Mamoru gets compared to Aragorn, Diana looks his direction and giggles. "Eheh, maybe!"
To Amy, she blinks. "Oh! I'm Diana! I'm surprised you didn't see me like this back in Crystal Tokyo."
It doesn't help that Diana just totally forgot to ever introduce herself while in human form.
- Catra has posed:
Not even death can seperate us, said Mamoru. Catra's ear twitches at that notion. "That's... shockingly optomistic," she comments, as she wanders off from Mamoru to go find something useful (or at least something that looks useful) to do, and continues talking to herself as she goes. "So like, what, post-mortum you're going to be a couple of blissfully wedded zombies? How does that even work? Pretty sure dieing is kind of final, but then I'm a humanoid cat from an alien planet that may or may not be in a different galaxy or a different dimension and since I got here I've met people who think they're fish and are probably right, I've been to the future, and I've beaten the crap out of people who for some reason still like me," she picks up something to wander off with it, "So I suppose anything is possible."
She pauses. "Well, almost anything."
And then the cat goes about what she's doing, still mumbling about something.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"...Yeah no that's a *great* way to do real injury to yourself," Rashmi murmurs back to Hotaru. "Just *imagine* the look on Setsuchan's face if she thought you were hiding an injury from *her,* and try to never do that again." Rashmi pauses, then clears her throat. "...There will be times when you *have* to break that rule, but it's usually when everything's insane and dangerous anyway. If nothings wrong around you? Great time to make sure nothing's wrong *with* you. ...Also I don't need help *right now,* I was inviting you to come back with me when I tag Koji-kun out of the kitchens. There's a *lot* of food left to make yet."
Passing by Catra just long enough to hear her mumbling, the Devicer cannot help but snicker to herself, and shoort a quick telepathic message to Catra.
<< It's called reincarnation, Catra-chan. Fourteen thousand years ago, Mamo-kun and Usa-chan were Prince of Earth and Princess of the Moon, and in love. It didn't end so well last time, but since Beryl was responsible for the why, we're a lot more optimistic about it this time around. >>
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
In theory, Wako is here to help with setup and last-minute planning.
That's the theory. In practice, at least for the moment, she's being a tourist: phone out, taking photos and texting them to Takuto and Sugata with captions like 'castle on the MOON' and 'reflecting pond ON THE MOON :D'
As she makes her way closer to the knot of mahoujin currently on the wide stone walkway, though, she has the decency to put her phone away and instead offers a cheerful wave. "Hello! I have no idea what's going on but I'm here to help."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Hello, Wako-chan," Luna greets cheerfully, and as Diana has handled introducing herself, bustles through the crowd to come to her side. "We're going to the gardens, to ensure decoration set up is complete. Koji-san is on Earth handling food preparation, and Rashmi-san will relieve him later, so that he can see and she can finish. Getting everything into place will make it easier to secure and store for when the fighting begins."
A beat, and then she adds, "I am Luna, and that child is Diana. Just in case you hadn't had the chance to hear that we could take humanoid forms. Hotaru-san is being scolded for hiding injuries, and Erika-san was enlightening us as to the nature of her condition."
A quick summary!
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
"Yeah, tell me about it, there is a lot to go over still", Veronica agrees with the redhead. She still has a lot of material to use in her paintings, though. "Even just this section is very inspiring. I will show it to Laisa too later, I think she will find it of great use for her sculptures."
At the questioning remark she gets over the comparison, Veronica nods and makes a wide sweeping gesture around herself. "He is going to have his own kingdom, and he heals on contact. That's just like Aragorn." She smirks at Diana when the youngest cat giggles.
She smiles to Amy when she gets complimented on the getup. "I really like how the dress came out, but the jellyfish pun became a lot more fitting than expected. I wouldn't have imagined that there would have been actual seas here."
About Catra being liked, Veronica grins. "You are being rather different now, you have helped a lot too, so I would say you have more than earned it. Which part bothers you?"
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"O-okay," Mamoru says to Erika, smiling uncertainly, because there's just something about grievous injuries and necrosis that gets to him. But then he's healing Hotaru-- it is just a sprain, so it's something he can help with much more quickly than, say, broken bones-- and he laughs quietly. "What Rashmi-chan said. It's never a bother."
But then to Rashmi he says, "Luna-chan is so much better at this than me, and I didn't live here--" and Luna's coming in clutch with actual information.
Then he says, "Aragorn?" totally mystified as he looks at Sarek. "Who's that?"
Record scratch.
He glances to Diana as she agrees. "Is this a future thing?"
He eyes Catra, but she's off on her way. Mamoru isn't about to explain reincarnation to an alien ca--
He glances at Diana and Luna.
He isn't about to explain anything to anyone. Fortunately for Wako, Luna is coming in clutch again, so Mamoru can excuse himself for a few minutes, probably to get more people teleported up to the moon.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
Wako's eyes get real big when Luna introduces herself and Diana. No; no, she had very much not known that the moon cats could transform into human forms. "Luna? Wow, you look great. That must be handy for things that need thumbs." A beat follows this remark before she turns slightly and gives Diana a polite bow. "Nice to meet you, Diana-chan. You're looking very cute, too."
Mamoru gets a curious look as she straightens up, but he's already excusing himself, so she just kind of waves. "Well," she says, "Wawna and I can definitely help with setting up decorations, if that's needed."
- Chibiusa Tsukino has posed:
Diana blinks at Mamoru. Oh geeze, this is a difference between timelines she wasn't expecting. "He's a character from Lord of the Rings. The ranger guy who turns out to be a prince? Strider? He was in the Fellowship. He was the human who lived."
Surely the same guy who put 'Speak Friend and Enter' at the Palace entrance would have some awareness... well, then again, Lord of the Rings kinda took a very different path in this alternate world. Diana's timeline never got the live action version! Well, they did, but it was different and made with CT tech.
Wako is greeting her, and Diana smiles and curtsies in return. "Thank you! The pleasure is mine, Wako-san." She twirls around to show off, since she was told she was cute.
- Catra has posed:
"What part bothers me? I... I mean I dunno." Catra shrugs her shoulders, and keeps doing what she's donig, moving things wherever anyone wants them to be moved to. Or just using her best judgement. "Just, maybe I keep expecting to wake up and it was all a dream, and I'm still in Obsidian and none of the people I thought liked me actually did, and Joker is standing over me telling me I better go summmon Youmas and hurt people or else, and let's face it that's still basically the only thing I'm any good at."
Catra's ears flatten and she finds somewhere else to be doing something useful, at least for the moment.
But that doesn't mean she can leave things entirely alone.
<< Wait hold up, >> she thinks back to Rashmi, << So they come back after death but they come back as the same person? I thought when you reincarnated you were supposed to be someone else. Isn't that the whole point? I read enough of that Buddha stuff or whatever it is to know that much. >>
- Takashi Agera has posed:
Riventon turns to look at Saturn. "I'm just here for the wedding. For my brother. Because I am - as we all know - the Best Man." he says, as though that should explain enough. "Frankly, I'm hoping that I can just zone out and run some sequences on my Device while everything gets moving. I'm only here to help, though, and I know my presence may make some people uneasy, so I intend to downplay it a fair bit." the boy admits.
Riventon does give an askance look at Hotaru not being healed, and gives Mamoru a wordless look of thanks when he takes care of it. "Rashmi is right about that, Hotaru - better to be healed than make everyone worry." That doesn't seem to bother him - saying that she's right - but maybe it's because it's what he'd say so it's not like he's admitting he is, or could be, wrong.
he zombie pirate gets a longer look than anyone else from Riventon, and his hand leaves his pocket for a moment - but nobody else is stressed, and Riventon works at Obsidian, so he shrugs and carries on. Somebody knows a zombie pirate, he guesses. Well, may not be the weirdest part of the Moon Wedding anyways.
Wako also gets a look from Riventon but contrary to expectations he is behaving. She's a student at Radiant Heart Academy, he can steal her stuff later.
Finally, he turns to Catra. "You know, you don't really have to make my day job sound like torture for you while I'm present, you can wait until I'm out of earshot." It's half-annoyed, half-teasing. There's no worry about Obsidian seeing what he's up to on the Moon Dimensional Pocket, so he's a little more relaxed.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
<< Magic, >> Rashmi replies unhelpfully. << Can't get into specifics, but Usa-chan's Moon mama did a *huge* spell that made *everyone's* souls stay together until they were reborn. ...Right before Sailor Saturn ended all civilization in the system. Think of them like the First Ones, I think Bow-kun called them? Only with more smoochy drama. >>
Looking to Mamoru, Rashmi chuckles. "Hey you're the *groom,* having all the answers isn't even your job! Go see if any of your boys showed up, I can do directing now I know what we're doing."
With that, Rashmi turns to Wako and grins. "Well first thing, we need to get the tables from the middle of the hedge maze, and set them up in the garden. Luckily flying's allowed, so who wants to go with me and move furniture?"
Best part about being mahou; furniture-movin strength is *much* more common than not, no matter who you are.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
Wako catches that look from Riventon. On the bright side: she doesn't give him a stink-eye.
He may or may not be particularly more pleased with what she does instead, which is to flash him an excessively bright smile and wiggle her fingers in a little wave which suggests she's well aware he's having to behave himself for the duration.
"I haven't actually tried moving furniture with my shields before, but I bet they'll work just fine for it," she tells Rashmi cheerfully. "Count me in for the furniture moving squad."
- Taro Yamada has posed:
Taro, in a formal navy kimono and carrying a basket of rose-colored mochi, is passing the group when he overhears some of the converation and pokes his nose in. (The moon is beautiful. The ruins are beautiful. He's here as a guest but also a caterer, and so he hasn't spent much time enjoying the view yet - but perhaps he can later in the day.)
"Obsidian is mostly a bunch of unimaginative hacks who think that power overrules style or function. (Present mad scientists excluded,)" he adds sotto voce to Riventon before turning back to Catra and offering her a mochi. "Not only do you have a leg up on Obsidian by having a consistant theme - those ears are fantastic - most of these goodie goodies here are shockingly tolerant. Here, eat this, you'll feel better."
... there's a group here. Uh. "Hi, Wako, Amy, ladies and scientists? Does anyone need a snack?"
- Catra has posed:
"Uuuuuuugh First Ones," Catra actually groans out loud, in the middle of a conversation with Rashmi that nobody else could hear. But nobody hear, and if they did hear then as far as Catra's concerned the actually didn't.
<< First ones basically made a huge mess and left it laying around for everyone else. ...Not that I can really complain 'cause the Fright Zone is best characterized as a huge mess. You shoudl see it sometime, just be ready tofight Hordak when you do. >> Catra perks an eyebrow upwards. << So anyway. What you're telling me is we're putting out flower arrangements for people who take being a drama queen to an extinction level event? Neat. Do they like roses? >>
"Riventon," Catra says out loud and intentionally this time, "Working with you is just fine, and I'd do it again if it weren't for... y'know." She shrugs. "but like, working with, under, around, near, or basically on the same plane of existence or next to it as Joker, is awful, and if I didn't already know that shoving Powersend all the way down his throat won't work I'd do that. And I know it won't work 'casue I tried. But it turns out he's an immortal incarnation of 'nope' and I'd rather just not see, hear, or smell him ever again."
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
And then the next batch of arrivals!! is here with Tuxedo Mask, who forgot he was barefoot when he went back to the pickup point. He lets go of people's hands and scrapes his feet on the smooth stone courtyard, looking sheepish when he steps away and leaves footprints from the puddle he steps in and will not talk about.
"RASHMI-CHAN," Mamoru calls, "I FOUND KOJIKUN!" And then to Koji, because he's sure Masato remembers, "Careful about the gravity. On the plus side I guess there's no way of collapsing a souffle here." He points, "People are moving tables over there, Rashmi's coordinating, that up there is where we're doing the actual ceremony, through the doors into the hedge maze is where the tables are, I mean, where they're getting them from..."
He gives Masato a wide-eyed look. "Don't push Riv down the stairs."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Diana. The cat! "Ohh!" Amy smiles. "Cool. You like both forms, then?"
While Veronica talks of the scenery, Amy decides to also take some pictures with her phone.
Aragorn? Who's that?
Amy's head whips around -- the braid it's currently in may smack someone in the face -- to look at him. But he's 1. not from an English-speaking country and 2. only 17, so... she relaxes. But mutters, "I read it when I was like... ten... There's some books you should read sometime, after all this is over. Or just watch the movies sometime, at least. Lord of the Rings."
She also stares at Diana a moment. "Right. Wow. That's so wild you... you know that centuries in the future. I mean... We still know who Don Quixote is now, but..." She stares into space. "...that's less old in our time than Lord of the Rings is in yours. Wow."
And then she looks at Catra, sadly. "...I mean, I feel you." She raises her hands. "A little bit! I didn't, like, go through everything you did but I... I expected to wake up, sometimes. 'specially early on. Radiant Heart really is that nice," she smiles."
"...Just yesterday I had a dream, actually, that I got to be a magical girl... and then at the end I thought I had to change back and then I remembered wait a minute and I woke up, and..." She looks up with a smile and spreads her arms as she returns to the magical girl outfit she was wearing before. "I still woke up at Radiant Heart, so."
And then
Her eyes, and her smile, widen. "TARO!" She runs up and hugs him, tightly. "It feels like it's been forever. There's been so much crazy stuff going on... I'm glad you're here."
- Koji Silvia has posed:
The aforementioned Koji-kun... or Koji Silvia... was easily found. He'd been batch prepping since last night, with a possible nap-session somewhere in between different stages.
While the gravity does throw him for a moment, he has with him a backpack, and looks around to ask, "I need voluntolds."
Yes, he said that right.
There's an apologetic smile from him as he goes on, "I need people who can help assemble and finish dishes so that Rashmi can store the finished products and make sure they stay the right temperature for each dish."
The young man still dressed in a half-faded Space Battleship Yamato t-shirt and green cargo shorts adds, "First responsible adult who volunteers gets to use the blowtorch?"
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Luna's eyes make that amused cat C as she smiles at Wako's shock, and she always looks so pleased and surprised by Diana, every minute of looking at her, and really, who wouldn't? Seeing your future child, what the future could give you if you followed that path - how can it be anything but pleasing, to see a bright future for you?
She's helping shift and move things, readying matters, when Mamoru returns with the second group, and she quickly thrusts her hand in the air.
"I am both responsible and an adult! I volunteer to wield the blowtorch."
She walks towards Koji with all due restrained excitement, looking quite pleased at the prospect of wielding fire for the sake of food. It would be like stepping into Rei's dominion for a brief moment.
- Nephrite has posed:
Appearing with Mamoru, Masato leans his elbow on a sack truck of boxes brought along beside him-- various table decor-- and a sidelong look of sapphire eyes, Masato regards Mamoru's look coolly. "Would I do that to your dear brother?" He asks, feigning innocence.
He's more plainly dressed-- for him-- though still expensive brands. Trousers and button up shirt, crisp as usual and long hair tied back low. The gentle scent of salt on the air is soothing for a moment, though he avoids looking directly at his surroundings just yet.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
It's a good thing Mamoru bellowed, because by this point Rashmi was hauling an elegant, if relatively heavy, outdoor-dining table fit to seat ten formally, perhaps fourteen for a family dinner, through the moon air and *reveling* in just how much *easier* it is to fly on the Moon.
*Flying.* *On the Moon.*"
She pauses to catch the news, then flits down, depositing the table in place, before winging her way back to Koji with a grin. "No what you're gonna to is tag me in," she says. "*I'll* gather up the voluntolds -- Hotaru-chan is one! -- and *you* get to walk around and *be on the Moon,* Koji-kun! C'mon that *has* to tickle your inner otaku!"
As Luna volunteers to play with fire, the redheaded Devicer can't help but giggle.
- Wako Agemaki has posed:
"Taro-kun!" Wako beams in delight. "You said the magic word. Is this mochi safe for snacking on, then?"
Listen, she's on her best behavior. Sooner or later there's going to be a lot of tasty food being set up that will not be safe for snacking on until permission is given. And Koji's arrival has made that sooner than later.
She's trailing Rashmi with another table in a bubble of pink light, which is set carefully down before Wako floats over and touches down to raid Taro's basket of mochi.
- Minako Aino has posed:
It wasn't yet the wedding itself, so it seemed alright that Minako wasn't currently doing her destined Wedding Work! No she was helping with other things while wearing casual clothes. An orange skort (because lower gravity on the moon duh), ankle boots, and a yellow sleeveless blouse. And sunglasses.
For just a moment she comes up short as she finds the moon around them to be far more like what her memories would bring to mind. It causes her voice to catch in her throat just a bit. "... It looks amazing."
- Taro Yamada has posed:
Taro squeaks as Amy hug-tackles him, quickly swinging hte basket of mochi around to hold in his one arm so he can hug her back with the other. "Amy, it's good to see you! Sorry I've been missing in action - final exams and the summer rush have been keeping me busy. Weshould check out the moon when I'm done with catering duties."
He's missed her. He's missed this. But this is the first time he's had to deal with final exams in years, and he'd stll been slightly reeling from Chiyo's boyfriend getting kidnapped right under all their noses, so. He'd hunkered down.
"The mochi's safe for snacking on, Wako! This is for the guests if they need a pick me up before or during the wedding," Taro explains, offering her his basket. "It's rose and lemon flavored."
He's not volunteering for the dish finishing sinc ehe's on a different catering team, so he gives Rashmi a respectful nod - then waves to Mamoru. "You look neat - er, nice." adlfkajs oh no he said the thing from that time he stabbed Mamoru. g r e a t.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Luna does look older than everyone else, it's true. Mamoru looks truly worried for a second, and then she speaks up, and you know what? "I second Luna getting the blowtorch," he says, and then Rashmi jumps in and it's like "Rashmi-chan, whenever you speak, something I was starting to worry about is being addressed," he says, marveling.
"Taro! Yes good," the barefoot tuxedo'd Prince says, and he sort of slurms over to steal some mochi whether it's snackable or not, because Princes Do What They Want. (Even if sometimes there are consequences.) And he slings an arm around Minako's shoulders impulsively. "Yeah, it does," he murmurs. "If you need a minute, take a minute."
And he looks back up at Taro and smiles with a little tilt of his head. "Thanks. So do you."
- Koji Silvia has posed:
With a polite bow of the head to Luna, despite not entirely recognizing the person who is also a cat, but is also a person, Koji digs into his backpack and takes out a small white folder. Opening it up, he turns several printed and plastic-sheathed pages to one marked 'Garlic Parmesan Scallops', "This will be your dish to start work on, and then wrangle a couple other people to help do the finishing part."
With typical obsessively detailed Koji-ness, the page not only has the steps, the timing, but also pictures to demonstrate how the scallops should look post-burn, then with dressing and plated.
Then he adds, "First, Sumimasen for assisting with this... and second, feel free to peruse all the dishes. If there are any last-minute allergies or changes I need to know. But... everything was batch prepared separately, so no cross-contamination, and all the ingredients for every dish are listed with them in case someone who's here just later needs to know."
That out of the way, he looks around and asks, "Uhhh... is Miss Meiou here? I mean... if she can teleport like that to here, it'd be perfect... we could move people down to work. There's drinks too."
- Amanda Faust has posed:
First responsible adult? Amy does first look at Taro with a 'is that us?' expression, because there aren't any, like, adult adults he--OH LUNA RIGHT yes she's an adult cat. Mau. Yeah.
Anyway, her mood is lifted by seeing an old friend. Amy beams, looking between Taro and the others, and appraises as Taro and Mamoru have brought attention to his kimono: "It is a good look. It's kinda... It suits you like a suit does other people."
And she looks over at Rashmi. "I know how to cook, if that helps. Never done anything fancy but if you just need someone to follow instructions..."
She does also take a mochi. Mm!
- Veronica Perenna has posed:
Veronica has a much more somber look when Catra explains herself, and she stares intently while the orange feline speaks. She didn't expect her to take being liked so seriously. She wants to talk with her, and understand more about her, but then she moves away, and Veronica makes no motions to follow.
She will be able to talk with her at a later point. Right now, best to leave her to clearing her thoughts. Watching the others explain Aragorn to Mamoru, the Princess of Sarek keep casually mingling with people here.
- Nephrite has posed:
Masato lets his gaze travel in steps. First, it's the Sea of Serenity, as he moves the much lighter boxes closer and pockets his hand. In a short while, there will be an entire open bar's work of mocktails and beverages, courtesy of the Pearl Pier, that he'll need to oversee the set up of as well. For now, though, there's tables to set up.
He doesn't take any mochi, passing by the others-- Taro, Amy, Minako, Mamoru-- quietly enough. Taking sunglasses from the top of his head, he pulls them down over his eyes before he dares to look at anything else.
He's not risking Riventon seeing him glassy eyed. Absolutely not. If he can get himself to Jupiter's Rose Garden before that happens, and seclude himself with his feelings, that'd be ideal, he thinks.
- Minako Aino has posed:
Minako Aino draws a sharp, deep breath when Mamoru's arm slings around her shoulders. It was an unexpected gesture that draws her out of the shadow of memories that were racing to flood her mind, just a bit. Masato's passage with his own sunglasses being lowered remind her of her own as her hand raises to touch light fingertips to them.
For now she resists sliding them down to hide the bright blue of her eyes.
"Yeah. It's..." A breath, and she forces a smile that grows easier by the second. "A lot to take in. I heard the dome was back, I just didn't expect almost everything to be back. I wonder... I wonder how much is back." The furnishings in rooms. Were those there? Would she find her old room as she had left it?
A little shiver comes at the thought. "I can find out another time. We've got a wedding to set up for!"
A light, teasing elbow is given to Mamoru. "Getting nervous yet?"
- Taro Yamada has posed:
...taro can be trusted with a torch for cooking. Truly. Put torch in Taro hands. Taro perfect person to give fire -
But the cat-lady seems to have it in hand, so it seems that setting things on fire for catering is not in the cards for him tonight. "I'm too old fashioned for a tuxedo," he says to Amy instead with a shrug. "I don't think I've seen you in that outfit before? You look really cute." A pause, and - "Plus you have a lot of experience with torches."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Gifted with a torch and instructions on how to assemble wedding food, Luna happily sets to work on assembling the scallop dish, carefully putting together ingredients, following preparation steps, and applying the blowtorch where and when needed.
She's quietly settling into the work, but when she notices Minako she offers a gentle, knowing smile - yes, it's a lot to take in. Yes, it's hard to see, a little, even though it warms the heart, it's strange, it's wonderful -
Unless questions are asked, she'll be set to working on bringing wedding dishes to life as directed.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
"I think it suits you better than a tuxedo would." Amy notes, honestly. And then blushes at the compliment. "Uhh... thanks! It... I got it after Kamiko happened." She does a twirl. And then hehs, "Well... with welding torches? Not exactly. Welding bits of monsters to themselves with thermite doesn't really count. Other than that I've just got like..." She summons a sparkler to her hand for a moment, before dismissing it. "I mean, I've done soldering a couple of times, but that's proooobably not the same."
She blinks. "Wait, weren't they doing cooking? Why is a blowtorch involved?"
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
Tuxedo Kamen smirks at Minako and claps her on the back (not too hard but a little hard). "No, but that's because I'm already strung so tight I'm practically figuring out how King Endymion projects himself the hell out of his body," he says cheerfully, a little wild-eyed behind the mask. "But-- if you can take over being transport from earth and back, Koji's looking for some teleport something I think? I have to find Masato, and then I gotta go check in with the bride and company."
He slips away from Minako and palms some more mochi before stealing after Masato-- the first of his Shitennou to set foot on the Moon since the Fall.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
With kitchen work moving up here, Rashmi begins directing volunteers off into their own pockets, demonstrating how to make one dish or another, then setting that group to recreating it, a word here and there and a quick demonstration given at need, to make sure the volunteer in question gets it. Luckily the dishes are relatively simple, and the soup and pre-prep done well ahead of time.
Passing by Luna's station, Rashmi beams as she sees progress ticking along very smoothly, and an entire tray worth of seared scallops disappears into her Device... just in time for her to catch Amy's question, and laugh merrily.
"Blowtorches are for when you want a very quick sear on something, but not cook much past the surface. All the scallops got *cooked* cooked in a water bath, so they just need a little color on the bottom, and a little fire to melt the parmesan on top."
- Koji Silvia has posed:
With Minako's help, Koji is able to transport food, drink, and other stuff from the rented kitchen spaces for Rashmi to help set those stations up, and allow for those who are helping to do the final prep-work before the fellow Devicer can store them all away.
However, he's not been using a Device of his own the whole while, just working with his hands, helping here and there, correcting little things where he can... just quiet encouragements.
Since Mochi was offered from Taro, on his last trip up, the pair end up carrying a big cooler that is dropped down in the middle of the kitchen area and, "Waters, energy drinks, and soda for anyone who wants them!"
Into the backpack his hands go, and he comes back out with a cold six-pack of chilled coffee drink, "And for the groom and his party..."
Done, he actually sits down next to Luna, holding a cherry cola of his own that he sips, "Thank you. I think I may just want to find a quiet place to float and nap before things kick off... It's been a marathon."
It's only now, he really gets to take it all in... and just has to take off his glasses for a moment, "I never expected to do this or be here in my lifetime. Wow."
- Nephrite has posed:
Jupiter's garden is overgrown and a little wild, with nobody to maintain it, and yet it still holds a remarkable beauty. Thickets and brambles protectively shield more fragile plants and flowers. It still feels the same as it ever did, the spirit of the place indomitable, and determined to continue to offer shelter and peace despite some neglect.
Masato's wandered a little from the boxes, to take a minute or two here. This is the place he wants to stand in. This is the place, too, that offers the most meaningful view-- to him, at least-- of the palace. Beautiful blue Earth above, the colour of Mamoru's eyes, and the lush greenery the colour of Makoto's own. Roses all around.
He is leaning against the sturdy wood of a tree, taking it in now in private. Letting it ache, and letting that ache pass. He'll set to work on the present soon, but here, for now, he soaks it in. He remembers-- not the fall, but the love he felt, and still carries.
There's an inexorable gratitude filling his chest, as he wipes his eye beneath sunglasses, to be here again.
- Taro Yamada has posed:
"Some western desserts use a blow torch to caramalize sugar into caramel, like in a creme brulee or a baked Alaska," Taro adds. "Diners love it when you set their food on fire on purpose. It's like the American version of hibachi, I think?"
He sets the mochi basket on a nearby table, then grabs a water and a soda - handing the Soda to Amy.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy's eyes widen with excitement. "There are scallops!? Sea or bay? That sounds... oooh... hmm. I've never cooked scalops other than pan-frying them in butter... I look forward to seeing how these taste!"
And she nods at Taro. "I had heard of stuff like that, never thought I'd eat anywhere that fancy..." She considers the comparison to hibachi. "...Yeah, in spectacle that's probably right." She's about to get a drink when Taro's already on it! What a bro! She smiles, and gently bumps the can of soda against his water bottle in a moch toast before pulling the tab and sipping. Just...
Enjoying this moment. Things will be... exciting soon, and difficult, and who knows what will happen...
So she can enjoy this moment, being on the moon with friends as a party to celebrate two of her friends is prepared, and lean against Taro, and just for a moment, chill.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"In this case, torching the scallops is helping to give them the final texture and details," Luna says, fiddling with the food and nodding in satisfaction. "It's an interesting task - dishes like this were somewhat common, though not quite like this, on account of the lack of, scallops?"
An alien world, after all.
"Having a wedding here, in the palace - it's something I always imagined, but never got to see. I'm so happy that Usagi-chan and Mamoru-kun will be able to fulfill the dreams of then and now, all at once."
- Emi Hoshino has posed:
Today, Emi woke up to find out she was invited to a pre-planning session for a ... wedding? Not just any wedding, of course -- THE wedding.
The sound she made when she found out was a very loud squeal of dismay. She hasn't even had the chance to sew a proper gothic dress for a wedding!
It's a good thing she has so many.
Emi took quite a bit of time to get ready, but finally, she had put herself together in one of her finest concoctions, a very modest dress in the gothic lolita style, as close to the kind of thing she's been seen to wear in her dreams as she is able to manage on a budget.
Perhaps a little less sparkly.
A lot less sparkly.
"Wait, where's the wedding?" she says, just before she's teleported.
"Oh," is her immediate response, in the sort of small voice that is reserved for moments of awe and wonder and John Wick movies.
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
He's barefoot in the grass of Jupiter's garden on the moon, and he's carrying a couple of cans of coffee from Koji's table--
(thanks Koji!!)
--and the masked prince stops at the edge, at the threshold, of the space that Masato's occupying in space, time, and memory. He's silent for a moment, then asks softly, "Do you want to be alone?"
He looks back over his shoulder and snickers, glancing back to Masato a second later. "Or company, or do you want to see Emi-chan discover moon gravity?"
- Takashi Agera has posed:
Riventon, hands still in his pockets, looks around and the Moon Kingdom, and occasionally, back at the Earth. He's quiet - really quiet, especially for Riventon - and clearly deep in thought. It was one thing to know all of this, to witness it in the sort-of-dream, to hear about it. But now he's here. A kingdom on the Moon, a place from before time, somewhere relatively close by and yet historically it might as well be as distant as Catra and Hinoiri's homeworld.
What it meant for Earth, for him, for possibilities... his plans and what he could plan for. This was a Kingdom - an Empire, really, over multiple worlds - lead by Usagi's mother, her family. It had truly existed, powerful enough to build this whole place, all of that, devoted towards one family... and everyone was just gathered around, here for a wedding, between it's reincarnated Princess and his adopted brother. It was wild. And maybe...
Maybe he was aiming too low.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"I mean, it *is* pretty fun," Rashmi chuckles at Taro's comment, and *grins* at Amy's excitement. "Scallops with torched-parmesan-and-garlic on top, and that's just *one* of the things we came up with. Planning the menu was actually a lot of fun, it's all stuff you can just have in hand and wander around with. The bunny-shaped onigiri was actually the hardest to figure out--" she trails off, looking around as Emi emerges from the hedge maze, and her entire face lights up.
"Emi-chaaaaaan~!" she calls, waving a hand over her head. "C'mon over, but like... take little steps unless you want to try to run trampoline-style! Amy-chan tried a rocket-jump and it almost sent her into another prefecture!"
- Koji Silvia has posed:
With a yawn and a rub of his hand on the back of his neck, Koji sips at his drink and then says sideways to Luna, "Thank you. By the way, I'm Kojiro... well... Koji. It was kinda funny. I was Mamoru's roommate for our first years at Radiant Heart, and now here he is, getting MARRIED. It was the least I could do to make the best meal I could."
He smiles a moment and sips again, "I had help. First from an old friend... then from Rashmi... and now from everyone."
As he digs into his backpack, he takes out a sandwich, carefully unwrapping it... and the moment he spots Rashmi again, he ask cryptically, "Hey Rashmi... is my plus-one going to be here in time for the party?"
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy looks to see a new arrival and grins, happy to see Emi and also happy to see someone react to a new environment.
(This sort of thing is one of the little joys in life, for her.)
Amy blushes at Rashmi's comment, though. "I didn't... It was just a regular mahou jump, but it took me all the way over the water..." She hops in place, and it's supposed to be a very small hop as a test, but she floats into the air several inches and lightly bumps Taro, "Ack, sorry. Hey Emi," she calls out once her feet are on solid moon again, "wanna see something cool?" If Emi replies yes, Amy just. Points up.
- Nephrite has posed:
A sniff to clear and eyes dried, and sunglasses back in place. Masato's clearing his throat to the sound of Mamoru's voice, looking his way-- and he laughs a little after Mamoru snickers. There's no hiding the emotion colouring Masato, even as he shifts from his tree.
"I'm alright," he says, now that he's more certain of the fact, "Just needed to make sure." Of what, he doesn't specify, but it's likely that he doesn't need to.
He set towards Mamoru instead, taking one of the can of coffee from him, and offered a small smile. It's warm. Almost relieved. "Nevermind the gravity. I'm wondering if I can keep Riv distracted by teaching him to make faux-jitos."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"I can understand completely," Luna says, nodding her head - "Ah. Koji-san, you should know that I am Luna. Usagi's Luna."
:3
"But yes... it is quite stunning, how things have turned out. When I found Usagi-chan, I never imagined that this is where we would end up. Well, wedding-wise, I did expect us to return home,,,"
It's a clarification that's perhaps not necessary, but seems so in her mind.
"With help or not, you have done something truly wonderful with planning and creating this meal. Mamoru-kun and Usagi-chan will never forget all that everyone has done for them." As Usagi's fourth roommate, she can absolutely be sure of that.
"Do you know, that if you were to leave the dome, the gravity would be even less?" She tells Amy, amused at the little exploration the other girl is doing. "I don't recommend that, given the pressure it would put on your body, but it truly is fun to play about with the gravity, isn't it?"
- Emi Hoshino has posed:
Emi recognizes Rashmi -- though they've had precious little interaction as of yet. She raises her hand in a little greeting and then gives a bow towards her. Amy's noticed too and she does the same there. All formal, you know. It's important. The warning about the gravity manages to sink into her brain, but not before her steps make it very apparent to her that things are not quite what she's used to -- obviously, and she can hardly tear her eyes free from all that -space- and the -earth-.
"I'm on the moon," she states, intelligently. It's the only thing she can actually say, aside from 'oh'.
- Taro Yamada has posed:
With all this talk of gravity and all the leaping going around... And Amy in the air...
Taro crouches, puts his water bottle on the ground, and then jumps into the air.
Since he's not in henshin, he doesn't go flying, but he does end up floating up over Amy.
"Hey! It's just like with the astronauts!"
- Mamoru Chiba has posed:
"You really said faux-jitos out loud," says Mamoru, taking off the mask and vanishing it as soon as his hand's freed of an iced coffee. He's grinning, he jostles Masato's shoulder gently, not enough to spill the blessed caffeine.
Nope, Masato doesn't have to explain, and it's a thing he wouldn't need to explain even if Mamoru didn't understand. He doesn't reach to touch Masato's hand, but he does watch him, watch his expression as he neverminds the gravity.
(His eyeliner is *on point*.)
'Almost relieved' is written on Neph's face, and Mamoru almost touches him then, but hesitates. "I'll believe you," he says generously, and then looks ahead and there's Emi, and the barefoot prince smiles to see Emi's expression. "Agreed," he says, coming up closer as he walks with Neph. "Isn't that planet cool-looking?" he asks, smile turning into a grin.
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy smiles watching Emi experience this. And it's nice to hear Luna's joy, too, and then...
"More like the lack of pressure. Gosh, if only I were some sort of... magical rocket girl..." And she switches outfits to flight mode, grinning from behind her helmet's visor. She takes the helmet off to be heard more clearly. "The issues with tailoring a space activity suit aren't, when you magically conjure it. The air tank works, too, I checked." She taps the little tank on the back of the base of the helmet.
And then there's sudden movement beside her and she looks up at Taro and when he says that she covers her mouth and speaks, imitating a low-quality audio connection. "Come in, Taro. Hoooooh. Haahhhhhh, This is Amanda, how are things up there? Fine day for a space walk. over. Hoooohhh. Haaahhhhhh."
Her mouth is covered but she's smiling with her eyes.
- Rashmi Terios has posed:
"You are," Rashmi says gravely to Emi, though her eyes *sparkle* with amusement, "on the moon. *We are all* on the moon. It's okay I needed a few moments to get my brain working too, and soon there will be a *wedding on the moon.*"
Yeah, even with the upcoming battle, it's *hard* to keep a burdened heart here. *On the Moon.* Staring up at the sky and knowing that not only are you *on the Moon,* you are going to have *the biggest party mahoujin have ever thrown,* and it will be *on the Moon.*
...It really is hard to get past that.
- Laisa Samuiko has posed:
Somehow, Laisa has returned!
Well, it's not really 'somehow', she was teleported up earlier and spent some time checking the place out, and it's not really 'returned' because she has never been here before.
... and before the player has to explain the reference being made, yes. It is, in fact, a Star Wars thing.
Mou Fubuki has been ice skating across the moon's surface, which is a thing you get to do when you can make your own ice. As she gets closer to the venue she stops that and starts moon-bouncing like a normal person because no one really wants wet floors at their wedding.
Unless they do, in which case you know who to ask.
"Do you think if I tried to feed them a purifying snowcone, that'd work?" Then she glances at Mamoru with an arched eyebrow and asks, "Do you need a purifying snowcone?"
- Nephrite has posed:
Masato did say faux-jitos-- the jostling brightens him with a slip of laughter at himself for that. When he and Mamoru approach the others again, he's smirking, and his sunglasses have been pushed atop his head again. Sapphire eyes sparkling with amusement at the antics of others.
"You can't really beat the venue, no," he lifts his can of coffee, and glanced at Taro. "Careful not to kick anyone in the head."
- Koji Silvia has posed:
The next time someone looks over his way... Koji is asleep.
Leaning on the table, head propped on his backpack like a pillow, and his glasses slightly askew...
Thankfully, before this happened, he'd set that half-drunk bottle of cola down on the tabletop.
- Taro Yamada has posed:
"Ground control Amanda, it looks like we're getting some tuxedo penguins and a snow angel up here on the moon," Taro says, then makes a static noise as he mimes talking into a radio. "It's a fine day in space. And we're being careful not to kick anyone," Taro says, and delicately curls his legs up so it appears he's sitting in midair, gently falling.
"With any luck, we'll be seeing some bunnies sooner or later. Kssssh, we should have enough mochi to get at least one rabbit!"
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy waves to Laisa in the distance and when Taro plays along she grins as wide as she can. "Roger that Taro. One small step for a mahou, one giant leap for man- and monster-kind. And probably bunnies too. I bet they jump really far on the moon, just imagine. Over. Kshhhhk."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Please do not bring bunnies to the moon, as it is a closed ecosystem," Luna says distractedly. "And you should probably play a touch further afield, if only to avoid hitting anyone when you land."
There's nothing wrong with playing, especially before the fights that will occur. But playing near the entire group is not the greatest idea, and she's always been willing to be the no-fun police.
"I'm nearly done with these scallops - if the two of you would like, you could assist with some of the rest of this? Taro-san is, I believe, quite skilled in this area?"
She does not want to have to assemble all the Usagiri, she will definitely seek help.
- Emi Hoshino has posed:
Emi blinks her mismatched eyes. Slowly. Once. Twice.
Then she boucnes up and down again onto her tip toes as if to again test the feeling of gravity.
A breath.
"I'm on the moon, and I'm not dreaming this time."
has she been on the moon before in someone's dream? Well..
"...and it's not made out of cheese, either. I swear, film student dreams are the *worst*," she pinches the bridge of her nose, then offers a wary smile in Amy and Rashmi's direction. She's not entirely sure she's not dreaming still, despite her words. She blinks her eyes again to check.
"No. I'm definitely awake. Cool," she says, trying to act a little less impressed than she is. She's a teenager, okay?
- Taro Yamada has posed:
"Yes, auntie, I won't hit anyone," Taro says to Luna on pure reflex, and he crosses his legs so that when he floats to the ground, he doesn't hit anybody. "If the bunnies won't help us with the rice, we'll do it ourselves." His moon mochi jokes.... ignored...
"I'll have to head back to the desserts table eventually, but I can help with the onigiri. More hands make light work, right?"
He turns to Amy, grinning mischieveiously. "And then we can see how far we can jump once we find somewhere a little less breakable!"
- Amanda Faust has posed:
Amy rolls her eyes a bit at the scolding. "It's okay, I have a helmet." She puts it back on, and then it vanishes as she returns to the dress from earlier. "But... we wouldn't want to accidentally bump someone carrying food." She sips the soda. "Oh yeah. We are gonna jump so far! ...Did you bring Dori?"
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"Yes, thank you for remembering the food," Luna says dryly, "Along with the tables that have been carried, and everything else. And thank you, Taro-kun, I appreciate your assistance."
She doesn't mind being called Auntie, even though she only looks a little older than them around Mamoru's age, nearly eighteen. She carries herself with the confidence of someone older though, standing here in the Palace grounds.
"And yes, more hands will make light work. Once everything is secure... we'll just have to wait until the wedding starts. Try not to ruin your nice clothes."
- Ami Mizuno has posed:
Sailor Mercury appeared with the next group, visor shading her eyes and a bemused little smile pulling at her lips. Because, of course, she was sitting in a bubblegum-pink replica of Serenity's throne. A very close inspection would note the subtle seams where quite a large number of 3D-printed parts had been joined together with water-tight glue like a set of extra large, and purposefully shaped, Lego.
She might have stayed that way for the amusement of it, but it was very quickly overwhelmed by the--well, everything. Beneath great dome and restored to a vision she only remembered from her dreams, sapphire gaze settled upon the palace.
And then they closed, neck craned to the sounds. A deep breath in, smile settled into something calm and peaceful. Truly, this was serenity.
- Nephrite has posed:
It was exceedingly difficult not to notice Sailor Mercury's arrival for a few reasons, but not the least of which was the throne intended for Wicked Lady. Vividly pink, to the point of being almost harsh on the eye. The colour that flying car had been.
Of course, it was. They'd never discussed it explicitly being pink, but he shouldn't have been at all surprised-- and Minako's suggestion set the shape of it, evidently.
"That's quite the entrance, Mercury-chan." Masato noted, as he approached her, holding out a hand if she'd like to take it for help to get off the gaudy thing.
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
Working with the other kitchen volunteers, steady progress is made on getting the wedding completed, plated, and then placed so it can be stored when the time is right. For a while, there's chatter, but fewer acts of play, everyone working...
And then the next group comes in, and Luna looks up just in time to see the amused figure of Sailor Mercury sat atop a bubblegum pink replica of an all too familiar throne, and she is all too amused.
"My word, I could have never have imagined such a sight," she says, leaving her work to other hands and striding forward. She nods at Masato in polite acknowledgement, and looks over the throne. "I don't think Chibiusa-chan would be able to resist normally, let alone now."
- Ami Mizuno has posed:
She couldn't help but beam at Masato as she accepted the helpful hand in her rise. The visor slid away from her face, as much for having already served its purpose now as it was to just see things without the barrier.
"It was just convenient while bringing others up, too." Of course, the Maiden of Mercury had an excuse handy.
Her attention drifted again, turned out toward the Mare. Even the ebb and pull of the waters filled her with a profound sense of peace. It almost felt like coming home after a very long time away. And, of course, it more or less was.
There was only one person missing and that was okay. She would be here soon enough.
"Everything feels very special, Luna-san." Mercury said quietly before shifting smile to the woman. "It's good to see you again. Though, I almost want you to be small, black, and very cuddle-able. It's been a while."
- Emi Hoshino has posed:
"I wonder," says Emi.
She finds a slightly quiet spot and then sits her butt down on the ground and closes her eyes. She slumps forward and starts ...
.. is she snoring? On the MOON?
Yes. Emi is snoring. It's probably a little cute but falling asleep that fast is probably just infuriating to some.
- Nephrite has posed:
"Convenient. Right. In the same way transporting party favours in my Testarossa instead of teleporting them across Tokyo is 'convenient'." Masato smirked knoowingly at the small Sailor, and couldn't help but agree. Everything did feel very special, about this.
Sapphire eyes rose to Luna, studying her human features for moment, before turning his gaze back to the palace itself. "We should probably move it inside, at any rate..."
There's snoring. He notices Emi seems to have immediately gone to sleep on the moon. Of course she has.
"... Being careful not to trip over Emi-san."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"I understand, Mercury-chan," Luna returns just as quietly, and her smile is a little more amused, a little cat-like twist to her mouth. "I also wish I was small, black, and cuddle-able. Soon, though. We needed the extra hands, for today."
She wouldn't be present at the fight - she would be no help there, unfortunately, but she would be able to assist with getting things back on track, after. Opening to say something else, she notes a young lady just plopping down and falling asleep and pauses.
"...is there something different about human children...?"
A glance at Koji, also sleeping deeply over a table, might hint at why her tone is baffled - one child plopping down to sleep is one thing, but another? So suddenly?
"Oh, this is Emi-san!"
Never mind, it's just magic.
- Ami Mizuno has posed:
"I look forward to it!" Her smile still bright until the snoring reached her and sapphirine eyes darted to find the source.
There was a girl sleeping...
"It would probably be a very peaceful sleep." Mercury noted, also staring at the newly unconscious Emi. "Well. At least until tomorrow."
When things were likely to be anything but peaceful. A sigh and a shake of her head, before she turned her attention to Masato.
"It's about thirty kilograms worth of filament alone, plus it's filled with about forty litres of water." The senshi furrowed her brows at him. "Gravity doesn't change the fact that it has a lot of inertia, so henshin if you're going to help carry it. Otherwise you'll spend the whole wedding with a back-brace."
A brow lifted high. "You only get one spine, Masato-kun."
- Nephrite has posed:
Pointed advice, with the Fade around the corner and potential risk of having over-relied upon Mamoru's healing. Masato closed his eyes for a moment, hands on his hips to sigh slowly through his nose. "Noted, Mercury-chan. Thank you."
- Usagi Tsukino has posed:
"I would help as well, but unfortunately, my lone spine would be of little help to you," Luna admits. "I will continue managing the food preparations - and I'll let you both know if Jupiter-chan arrives soon."
This last with a perfectly innocent smile, before she departs for her task station.
- Emi Hoshino has posed:
"Snrk. Grngle," is Emi's response.
And then her eyes open and she intelligently says, "Hunh. That was interesting."
She doesn't elaborate. Instead, she gets up, hops once in a cascase of ruffled skrits, and proceeds to peer at the various individuals she doesn't know.
There's a lot of them.
- Nephrite has posed:
Masato would, at least, move behind the throne and murmur his way through a henshin in short order. The bulk of the pink throne shifted, then raised, lifted with care. An audible slosh from within.
"Coming through-- Mercury-chan, be my eyes..." Slowly, he'd heft Wicked Lady's throne along into the Palace. "And we'll-- dress this up a bit when we get in..."
