One day, Sara fell in love and started a relationship with a musical prodigy named Mitsuki Taro, however an unexpected change of heart from Taro broke her heart and she couldn't be aided or comforted, something Coco deeply regrets and considers her own stain.

A few years later, the guardian Hippocampus unexpectedly managed to rescue Coco, at which point Coco's own lock naturally came undone due to her sense of loyalty she had demonstrated. Still feeling deep guilt over Sara, as well being unable to rescue Noel, another mermaid princess, from Gaito's clutches, she came to Tokyo to help both of them when she heard that Gaito had struck a deal with Obsidian in his bid to gather all the seven pearls and take revenge on Aqua Regina.
